Drew Barrymore Depends on This One Beauty Product for a Fuss-Free Summer

Drew Barrymore can work a red carpet with the best of them, but in her off hours, she’s all about comfort — and not just when it comes to fashion. The Santa Clarita Diet actress is part of a new Crocs campaign that focuses on feeling comfortable with who you are — quirks, imperfections, and all. It’s a lesson she hopes to pass on to her daughters, Olive and Frankie. Ahead, the Flower Beauty founder shares the secret to her own confidence, her summer style rules, and her hair and makeup tips and tricks.

Brit + Co: The theme of this Crocs campaign is, “Come as you are.” What does that mean to you?

Drew Barrymore: I love it. I don’t really know what people think about me, and lord knows I would rather not. But I do feel like I live by that. I know “authentic” is such an overly used word, like organic, but if you saw “come as you are” and it was associated with someone who seemed a bit prim, proper, and kind of concerned with maintaining a certain image, I don’t know if I’d buy it as much as with a goofball like me who just tries to do their best. I’m definitely not the vision of being anything but myself.

B+C: In the mini musical you filmed for Crocs, you sing about embracing imperfection and just being confident in who you are. What makes you feel confident?

DB: I think when I know I’m behaving the way I want to behave. When I don’t stress out about my reaction about something and I’m not sort of questioning what I thought, said, or did, and I know I was calm and pleasant to be around and relaxed. Then I’m like, okay, that’s good, I feel good about that.

B+C: What do you want to teach your daughters about confidence and self-love?

DB: I have done my best to accept the way I am and work around it. So I think I’ll be really big on trying to always advocate to them how important it is to not fight what you have but embrace what you have. And just how to have the most healthy approach to yourself that you possibly can. I can’t really believe in that more. Appreciating what you have rather than fighting it is just so crucial.

B+C: That’s kind of in line with the whole idea of being “comfortable in your own shoes.” Have you always been comfortable in your own shoes, so to speak?

DB: Well, I was, until I had two kids and my feet grew three sizes. It’s a little more challenging for me, but I will say Crocs technology has completely changed my life. I think my favorite part is getting to be in the driver’s seat and design around that technology and bring a fun aesthetic that speaks to me into the brand. I’m wearing the Isabellas right now, and they’re just so comfortable and so flattering on the foot. I have short legs, so I’m constantly thinking about how to not cut off the foot imprint or the top of the foot cleavage or the ankle. I’m just so thrilled with these shoes. And they’re so good for summer!

B+C: Besides Crocs, do you have a summer uniform or a go-to summer outfit?

DB: I’m just not a huge sleeveless person. And I look so awful in shorts. So I’m really about, like, the lightest-weight fabric in little short-sleeve button-downs and tea-length skirts. That’s really how I like to dress for summer. Or really lightweight vintage-y army pants and a t-shirt with some accessories.

B+C: What about a summer beauty routine?

DB: I’m all about my [Flower Beauty] highlighting primer. It’s the pink one. We have a green and a blue one too — the blue is hydrating and the green is for red pigment. The pink has this illumination underneath that goes so well under sunblock or with no makeup. And it just gives you this gorgeous dewy glow that I’m obsessed with.

B+C: Do you have any easy hair tricks?

DB: I am all about hair masks, because my hair just gets so dried out. I love the J.F. Lazartigue shea butter mask — I’ll put that on my hair, put it in braids, and not take it out until the next day. And some Olaplex by the pool for 20 minutes is awesome. One is conditioning and one is bond-rebuilding, so they totally do completely different things. My hair just kind of — you get older, and you bleach it, and it just doesn’t bounce back the same way. So I’ve had to be so careful of it, and it didn’t use to be that way. My hair could take anything. And all of a sudden, one day, it’s not like that anymore. So I’ve been all about how to maintain healthy hair. That’s my jam right now.

In Kylie's same Instagram post, her and Jason's daughters can be seen expressing a range of emotions. There's an 'Eek' expression from their oldest daughter Wyatt, a happy look from their middle daughter Elliott, and pure tears from baby girl Bennett. Kylie wrote, "I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page! 🤷♀️"

Jason Kelce is taking the news of being an official girl dad like a champ. He told E! Newshe's "got it pretty easy" because "the clothes are all going to be hand-me-downs or already bought." Not only that, but they've already secured a baby crib! However, Jason was quick to add Kylie's also getting ready for their daughter's arrival. "Kylie's definitely preparing more than I am, because she's actually growing the human being."

“I love my kids so much, and especially my daughters,” he added. "I was telling somebody out there because they're expecting their first — and they look at you. They smile at you. There's just a way that kids have to warm your soul in a way that nothing else can.”

He's also excited to watch his daughters grow up with a new sibling. "And hopefully we'll welcome a fourth into this world, and we'll be able to watch them fight and tear each other apart and all the good stuff."

He even appeared on The Rich Eisen Show where he joked, "I'm screwed [in] like in 10 years. The moment they’re all in middle school, I feel like it’s just gonna be chaos." He also hopes Wyatt "can start helping out a little bit more." But, he's still looking forward to it! "I obviously have not had a son, but there is something about a daughter in the way I think as a dad, you feel an extra amount probably of protection and love toward that child," he shared.

What has Kylie said about her fourth pregnancy?

Meanwhile, Kylie just opened up on her new podcast, Not Gonna Lie, about her feelings on her fourth pregnancy. She said, "I am so incredibly grateful to be able to get pregnant, but it is a means to an end. When I tell you that I cannot stand being pregnant, I mean it. I don't have a a fun time."

If that sounds a little uh...negative, it actually makes a lot more sense when she explained more! She elaborated, "I am nauseous for most of my pregnancy. It tapers off a little after the first trimester, but I continue to have nausea throughout my pregnancy." Woof, I know that's tough!

Kyle continued by explaining she hasn't even really had the fun, wacky cravings many pregnant people get — instead she's had more "aversions" in each of her pregnancies. I'll take cravings over aversions any day!

The podcast host then joked, "When you're super pregnant and someone comes up to you and says, 'Isn't this just the most beautiful thing ever? 'I want to punch you in the face. I'm not going to, but I want to."

Definitely wishing her a healthy, less aversion-filled pregnancy this go-around!

OMG, The '1923' Season 2 Release Date Is So Soon

Yellowstone universe fans rejoice! The second season of 1923 is on its way, and not only do we have the first look at the characters, but we FINALLY have the 1923 season 2 release date — and it's way sooner than I expected. Ever since season 1 ended with the Duttons scattered (and Spencer and Alex split up), I haven't been able to stop thinking about how and when they'll reunite (PLEASE let it be sooner rather than later!!!) And the new 1923 season 2 teaser trailer proves they aren't going down without a fight...literally.

The '1923' season 2 teaser trailer proves we're in for more drama.

Probably the most important piece of news from the 1923 season 2 teaser is that it tells us new episodes are coming to Paramount+ February 23! We also see all our favorite Dutton family members, and I'm simply grateful. Jacob and Cara Dutton (Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren) hold down the fort at the Yellowstone ranch in Montana, Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) fights to get back to them (I mean "fighting" quite literally based on his bloody nose and a quick clip of what looks like a boxing).

Elsewhere, Alex (Julia Schlaepfer) is still stuck on the transatlantic sea voyage with only the return address on Cara's letters to guide her, Jack (Darren Mann) protects both the ranch and his wife Elizabeth (Michelle Randolph), and Teonna (Aminah Nieves) is still on the move to get to safety. Maybe she'll have a run-in with the Duttons of her own — I just know that Jacob and Cara would take her in!

'1923' season 2 is going to be "absolutely incredible," according to Brandon Sklenar.

It Ends With Us star Brandon Sklenar has been vocal about how amazing season 2 is going to be. “I can confidently say that it’s going to be absolutely incredible,” Brandon tells Forbes. “The tone shifts a lot and it’s definitely a bit darker. It’s very beautiful.” Okay I'm not really sure how season 2 could be darker than season 1 (and TBH, that makes me a little nervous), but more than anything, I'm just excited to dig in. Based on how quickly I devoured season 1, I can't wait to see what else creator Taylor Sheridan has up his sleeve.

And just like me, Julia is hoping for a happy reunion between Spencer and Alex! “I would love for Alex to make it to the ranch and meet the family,” she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I hope we get to see some of her own strength come out now that she’s on her own. I want to meet the Dutton women. I think that that would be a lot of fun — and Teonna, we all want to meet Teonna.” GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT PARAMOUNT!
