Bottoms Up! 20 Gorgeous Glasses You’ll Want to Drink from Every Day

When you have guests over, the first thing you do is offer them a drink, right? Extend a great first impression even further with a gorgeous, perhaps even unconventional glass. From tumblers to the ultimate party glasses, we’ve scoured the web for our favorite stylish glasses to inspire you. And yes, this is totally a valid excuse to invite people over for a new glassware party. We’ll come, too.

1. IKEA Utföra ($1): These simple glasses get an upgrade thanks to cute multicolored spots. They add a little fun to any meal for crazy cheap.

2. Gold Leaf Cocktail Glasses ($56): We can’t decide the best way to use these gold sparkly glasses. They’re so pretty it’s hard to relegate them to just one kind of drink. Guess we’ll just have to use them all the time then, yeah? Yeah.

3. Kate Spade Two of a Kind Bar Belles HiBalls ($50): Pour a tall, cool drink into one of these smiling glasses at the end of your day. Sure, the etched designs may make these crystal cups just a teensy twee, but they sure make a great conversation starter.

4. Moustache Drinking Glasses ($38): We moustache you a question: Are these not the cheekiest glasses you’ve ever seen? Even if the thought of sipping from one of these glasses seems a little silly at first, we think they will grow on you. (P.S. Sorry not sorry for the puns.)

5. Owl Mosaic Hand Painted Set ($108): These glasses are almost too pretty to drink from. But not using them would let the beautiful mosaics go to waste. Let your kids drink from these cute cups when they’re old enough to protect them. They’ll be thrilled to have colorful grownup glassware of their own.

6. Tea Time Anytime Glasses ($35): Gilded glasses fit for royal-tea? (hehe) We’ll take as many as we can fit in our cabinets, thank you very much. These simple drinking glasses, perfect for water, cocktails or tea, add a little Middle Eastern flair to your kitchen.

7. Anthropologie Stemless Wine Glass ($8): These glasses have a hand-blown look (thanks to artful bubbles on their outer surface) that makes them look much more expensive than just eight dollars each. Impress your friends and get that vino flowing to make for a fantastically classy evening.

8. Crate & Barrel Lex Cocktail Glass ($10): This chic equestrian-themed glass is perfect for schmoozing at your next Kentucky Derby party. We love that gilded edge, which elevates these to a level of class suitable for your aged whiskey and rye.

9. VITAL Bike Printed Glasses ($12): If you need another hipster accessory to match your custom-made cruiser and hand-woven saddlebags, how about a bike-themed way to unwind after a long day of dodging traffic? These etched bike glasses are just begging for a cold IPA that the rest of the world has probably never heard of.

10. West Elm Hobstar ($6): Each of these stunning glasses is full of detailed etchings in an intricate star pattern that makes us think of ice and snow. These would be right at home at any Christmas or New Year’s party.

11. Royal On The Rocks Whiskey Glass ($20): This one’s for all our ladies who love a smooth shot of whiskey. The gilded scales hide the good stuff from wandering eyes, which will help you avoid all the haters being like, “OMG. You’re drinking whiskey straight?!” Yeah, we are, ’cause that’s what ladies do.

12. Green Moroccan Tea Cups ($19): Moroccan food is hallmarked by mint tea, served after dinner as a refreshing palate cleanser. There’s no reason why you can’t use these for your own tea ceremony, too. Just make sure to let the tea cool slightly before pouring it into these delicate cups.

13. Anthropologie Euro Milk Glasses ($24): No one says you have to drink milk out of these rustic imprinted glasses. You’ll look just as stylish even if you sip water or cocktails from these multi-lingual cups.

14. Anthropologie Opalescent Tumbler ($12): These gorgeous frosted beauties may look too delicate to drink from, but don’t worry. They’re pretty durable. They’re even dishwasher safe, which means you can keep those pale jewel tones and frosted accents looking clean and sparkling for future fêtes.

15. Crate & Barrel Algere Glass ($7): A lot of craftsmanship goes into these delicate cups. The sculpted colored glass that makes these cups so unique is done by molding the hot glass around nails and disks to create that beautiful swirling pattern.

16. Colorful Party Glasses ($7): Each of these cute little party glasses features a unique design, the perfect answer to every hostess’ dilemma: Which glass belongs to whom? It should be super easy to keep track of your drink from now on.

17. Metallic Ombre Glassware ($20): Add a little metallic shine to your ombre obsession with this dark stemware set. It’ll add a touch of dark glamour to any beverage you serve your guests.

18. West Elm Bormioli Rocco Cassiopeia Glassware ($30 for 6): These “crinkle cut” geometric glasses look like someone’s put them through the wringer, which is probably why they’re also chip and scratch resistant. It’s that slightly crushed charm that makes them so special.

19. Aqua Wine Punts ($34): These glasses, called punts, are actually recycled wine bottles that have been cut down and turned into cups perfect for, you guessed it, drinking wine. The punt, or dent, in the bottom is what gives the glass its unusual name. Unusual or not, we love the idea recycling our bottles into something we can use even after the wine is gone.

20. Midas Collection Glasses ($60): If you love gold and glitter as much as we do, how about adding a little Midas touch to your kitchen? If you’re going to be serving guests, you might as well command the room while you do. And who wouldn’t want some gold-dipped accessories?

What special glasses do you keep in your home for special occasions? Do any of these inspire you to make some upgrades for your next fête? Tell us below!

A Fresh paint color can be the dramatic upgrade you need to fall in love with your kitchen again. Four years ago, I painted my kitchen cabinets with Benjamin Moore's Adriatic Sea, and while I still like the color I'm ready to go more earthy in my aesthetic. "The biggest trend we’re seeing for kitchens and kitchen cabinets is homeowners looking to add more color and turn away from all-white kitchens and gray kitchens/kitchen cabinets," says Sue Wadden, Sherwin-Williams Director of Color Marketing.

Thinking beyond white these days, many designers are finding unique ways to pair color with stone and natural woods. "Lately, I’ve been captivated by the power of contrasting materials and colors to transform this essential room," says Amr Samaha, founder of LA-based Samaha Studio. "In our latest project, we’ve paired the timeless elegance of French white oak cabinets with a striking maroon paint." Here's a peek at Amr's design and several other designer picks for the best kitchen cabinet colors this year.

Samaha Studio

Amr's bold choice of a maroon hue adds warmth and depth, creating a kitchen that is both sophisticated and inviting. Try Farrow & Ball Preference Red No.297, Benjamin Moore Classic Burgundy, or Clare Paint Vintage to get the look. Always test a sample to make sure the color suits your specific lighting situation.

"The maroon hue does more than complement the natural wood — it elevates the entire space, turning it into a focal point that’s as visually stunning as it is functional. By embracing contrast, we’ve crafted a kitchen that not only looks beautiful but also feels like home," he says.

Sherwin Williams

"I love Sherwin Williams Dark Knight," Lauren Reyes says, principal designer + owner LA-based LVR Studios. "We’ve used this for my own kitchen’s cabinetry – it’s not a typical navy blue like we’re used to seeing as it has rich hues of dark blues and greens."

Farrow & Ball

Another favorite is Farrow & Ball’s Joa White, a light and clean taupe. "It's a nice way to achieve a “white” kitchen, but a lot warmer and very sophisticated feeling," Lauren says.

Sherwin Williams

Sue recommends Sherwin Williams'Thunderous SW 6201 for an earthy nature-inspired look. I think this is my pick too! "Dark yet calming, it is ideal for this space since it complements natural elements like wood and metal very well," she says.

Sherwin Williams

Sue is also a fan of the wine-colored trend. She recommends Carnelian SW 7580. "To add some drama and mystery into a kitchen, this deep saturated violet with warm red undertones is a beautiful choice. Although it might seem like a bolder choice, it’s easy to pair with clean neutrals, thanks to its muted tone."

Farrow & Ball

Amanda Leigh at House of Rolison seconds the redder tones for a warm and stimulating color. Her favorite? Benjamin Moore Nicholson Red. "We love coordinating a cabinet color to the vein of the slab we choose. It helps marry the materials we use without being too coordinated," she says.

Amanda's other favorite is also in the greige family, Farrow and Ball's Drop Cloth.

Whearley & Co

If you want to lean more green in your greige, Whearley & Co.'s Cooking Apple Green is a lovely neutral with a bit more tint.

Sherwin Williams

Sue adds to her fave list Sherwin Williams Color of the Year for 2024: Upward SW 6239. "This light and breezy blue that creates a beautiful coastal chic vibe to an all-white kitchen. Homeowners can take this aesthetic one step further by adding wooden accents to the space."

Theresa Butler Interiors, Marc Mauldin

Theresa Butler, principal and founder of Theresa Butler Interiors in Atlanta recently refreshed a 15-year-old kitchen with its original cabinets using Benjamin Moore Advance Paint in Marine Blue (on island) and London Fog (in cabinets).

Theresa Butler Interiors, Marc Mauldin

Theresa also used Benjamin Moore White Dove to refresh this traditional kitchen.

Benjamin Moore

Theresa also recommends Benjamin Moore Stratton Blue (a muted blue-green shown above), a soothing Ocean Air, and Peale Green, an earthy forest green, for kitchen cabinets. Love the idea of forest green too!

Lowe's

Something in the Ocean Air family is the Tranquil Waters Tintable Cabinet Paint from Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines.

Prior to becoming a mom, I never drank coffee on a daily basis. I didn't get the hype surrounding it because eating a hearty breakfast used to give me all the energy I needed to tackle my day. If you listen closely, you can hear my mom-coded chuckle.

Though I used my Keurig here and there...I fell into the daily Starbucks habit that I haven't quit been able to shake yet. The tasty drinks felt much easier to grab and go, instead of dropping in a pod and adding creamer, hoping for that barista-made flavor. However, I finally found something that makes me feel like I'm my own at-home barista: the Ninja Espresso Machine!

What is the Ninja Espresso Machine?

Amazon

This Ninja coffee maker is a 3-in-1 machine that allows you to make espresso, classic drip coffee, and cold brews! It goes the extra mile by letting you make the following of each:

  • Espresso — double shot or quad shot
  • Drip Coffee — classic, rich, or over ice
  • Cold Brew — cold pressed expresso or cold brew coffee

Depending on your mood, you can brew anywhere from 6 to 18 oz. drinks. It's like the grandmother of coffee makers IMO — she really can do it all, and then some!

What kind of features does it have?

Jasmine Williams

What features doesn't this Ninja coffee maker have is the better question. My favorite feature so far is the weight-based dosing that helps the machine determine what you'll need for the perfect cup of coffee. What does that mean? It has a built-in scale that does the heavy lifting for you, showing you the recommended setting you need by detecting the weight of the beans before grinding.

It also has a hands-free frothing option that rivals the skills of Starbucks' baristas with its Barista Assist Technology. The four frothing features are:

  • Steamed milk
  • Thin froth
  • Thick froth
  • Cold foam

I've tried the steamed milk and cold foam options so far, and they're AMAZING. I think that's the best part of making coffee now!

Is it hard to put the Nina Espresso Maker together?

Jasmine Williams

This is probably the heaviest coffee maker I've ever had, but it doesn't bother me. I bought my fiancé a Nutri Ninja Personal & Countertop Blender last year, so I'm familiar how sturdy their products are.

However, I want to mention how heavy it is so you're not surprised when you're taking it out of the box! It took two people to slide it out in my experience, so make sure you have someone to help you. If you don't care about keeping the box the Ninja Espresso Maker comes in, you can just cut it open to make it easier for you.

Putting this machine together is simpler than it looks, though. It comes with additional pieces like the assisted tamper, a funnel (to ensure you have the right amount of ground coffee), two baskets (to determine what type of coffee you want to make: quad shot espresso, classic, cold brew, or cold-pressed), and the portafilter (AKA the longer piece which serves as the main handle when you're grinding the beans and ready to brew your coffee). Thankfully, comes with the double basket installed already.

How much counter space does it take up?

Jasmine Williams

The Ninja Espresso Machine doesn't take up as much space as I thought it would — and that's great because I live in an apartment, so that real estate is very limited in my kitchen. I was able to place it on the smaller counter by stove and still have room to place my coffee essentials next to it. But if you want to create a coffee corner, I definitely suggest placing it on a longer surface.

Do I need to use pre-ground coffee or whole beans?

Jasmine Williams

This is a great question! I usually skip the instructions when putting something together (that rushed mom life, you know?), but decided to because I didn't want to mess anything up.

It's easy to reach for pre-ground coffee, but this machine specifically requires whole beans because of the grinder feature. If you're worried about added time from the grind, don't — it really doesn't take long for the beans to be ground!

Do I have to use whole milk for the frother, or can I use something plant-based?

Jasmine Williams

You can actually use both! The cool thing about the Nina Espresso Maker is you can change the settings to whole or plant-based milk when you want to use the frothing feature! I just prefer to stick with unsweetened almond milk because it doesn't irritate my digestive system and has 0 grams of sugar in it!

Final Thoughts:

Jasmine Williams

The Ninja Espresso Maker has converted me into a coffee drinker who doesn't have to leave her house for the latest Starbucks fall drinks — or at least not all the time. 😉 The included QR code on top of the machine helped me see step-by-step installation and brewing guides, so that's a welcomed bonus that continues to make regular use so much easier.

I will say that you have to test the hardness of your water and run a pre-cycle before using the machine. A water test strip is included in the box, and this process takes a couple of minutes to do. Once you're ready to run the pre-cycle, fill the water reservoir on the side is place a 10 or 12 oz. cup under the portafilter and press brew. When the cup is full after a few minutes, dump the water in the sink and you'll be ready to brew your first cup of espresso, classic brew, latte, or ice coffee!

Ultimately, while I don't care for drinking espresso, that feature works for my Domincan fiancé — it's perfect for getting him that shot of flavor and energy some he craves in the morning. Otherwise, for all other coffee-making endeavors, I give the Ninja Expresso Maker a 5 out of 5 rating! It really has something for all coffee lovers, and it takes than less than five minutes to have a cup of cold or warm deliciousness! BRB while I brew something for my Gilmore Girls rewatch...

Questions About Your Daily Routine

Please don't throw eggs at us! We know you don't want to feel governed by a schedule like you're in grade school, but there are benefits to having something to guide you daily. According to Northwestern Medicine, you can "reduce stress" and even "get better rest" by having a routine.

If you've been promising yourself to improve in these areas, here are 5 questions to ask yourself:

  • How many of hours of sleep do I typically get per night?
  • What distractions can I eliminate before bed so I'm not groggy in the morning? (i.e., no more binge watching my favorite TV shows or scrolling mindlessly on TikTok)?
  • Do I have a morning routine or do I rush through taking a shower, brushing my teeth, and eating breakfast?
  • How do I usually feel when I get to work?
  • Am I okay with setting a reminder for myself to take a break during the work day so I can stretch my legs, eat lunch, or go for a quick walk?

Questions About Your Self-Care

Making time for your self-care is a part of your daily routine, but we want to dig deeper by sharing questions that'll help you reflect on how you treat yourself.

  • How do I want to feel about myself in 2025?
  • Did I have moments I looked in the mirror and didn't like the way my skin or body looked this year?
  • Have I been prioritizing my mental health?
  • Did I make space for exercising (i.e. walking, yoga, running, etc.)?
  • Did I create healthy boundaries with family, friends, or someone I'm dating?

Questions About Your Career

We almost said, "Here comes the fun part," but that would be unfair for people who consider other areas of their lives more important to chasing a career. If you are focused on pursuing something you're passionate about or simply want to earn a new promotion, here's what you can ask yourself:

  • What are my biggest career accomplishments this year?
  • What skills do I need to sharpen that align with the position I want?
  • How do I respond to constructive criticism?
  • What is my usual response to change or tight deadlines?
  • Do I ask for help when I don't understand a project or concept?

Questions About Your Home

Your home is anywhere that you live even if you're renting or living with your parents for the time being.

  • How did the energy in my home feel?
  • Did I do anything to make it feel like me?
  • How can I create a relaxing environment in my room that promotes rest and relaxation?
  • Do I want to have a certain aesthetic for my living room, office, etc.?

The kind of life you want to live can't be weighed down by old habits of yours or some of the people you've been spending time with, especially if you've been feeling uncomfortable.

The '90s were a great time, according to millennials. It was a time of rollerblading, listening to cassette players, playing Super Mario Bros. on Nintendos, having birthday parties at Chuck E. Cheese, and more. Besides this and other pop culture moments that went viral before social media existed, the '90s gave us classic stores we used to frequent as kids.

Despite meeting their demise as the Y2K age took over, we'll never forget the fun memories (and maximalist vibes) these stores gave us!

Take a walk down memory lane by revisiting our favorite '90s stores that will take you back in time (and make you feel old):

Getty Images

1. Party City

Our hearts are hurting because we don't understand why one of the most popular decor stores is closing. The brand was apparently facing "financial challenges," according to it's CEO Barry Litwin (via CNN). There were other issues behind the scenes, but everything trickled down to money, or a lack thereof.

It's so shocking because some of us just picked up a few holiday items from Party City this month! It was one of the stores that seemed to have everything we needed before Amazon became the mega wholesaler that it is today.

I guess this means we should've cherished Party City a little more because it's officially gone.

2. Blockbuster

Long before streaming platforms like Netflix and Peacock existed, people used to spend Friday nights looking at rows of VHS movies to rent. If you were lucky, your parents would stop by Blockbuster before picking up pizza for dinner. It was the ultimate '90s treat…until it wasn’t.

When we want to remember what it felt like visiting Blockbuster, we fast forward to that one scene in I Am Legend where Dr. Robert Neville is going to 'rent' movies. It's a little cringe now that we think about it, but it's the closet memory we have of spending at least 30 minutes picking out the VHS or DVD to watch.

3. Circuit City

Raise your hand if you remember getting your first CD player or computer from Circuit City. The name alone conjures fun memories of running up and down the aisles pretending we could afford all the fun electronics. We watched desktop computers slowly morph into laptops, which seemed like an exciting time. Also, some of us watched our parents lament the cost of the required Texas Instrument calculators we needed for math class.

Although Circuit City isn't around like it used to be, we'll never forget watching the world change through its eyes.

Getty Images

4. Virgin Music Store

If you wanted to be a part of the cool crowd, you visited the Virgin music store. We aptly remember the neon sign and memorable displays that beckoned to us. Although we could find some of the same CDs at Circuit City, the store’s design didn’t feel stuffy.

Getty Images

5. Radio Shack

This one’s personal because we stood in lines with our parents when they bought their first cell phones and DVD players. Also, one of our parents may or may not have purchased a very coveted Bratz convertible that played music from Radio Shack.

Even though it wasn’t the biggest store, it gave us a taste of what the future had for us. Little did we know we’d lose this sweet store though.

6. Border's

As much as we love recommending books from Amazon and local bookshops, we miss when Border’s was around. There’s not much to say about this store besides how grown-up we felt when our parents would let us spend time there while they shopped at their favorite stores in the mall.

Getty Images

7. KB Toys

Aside from Toys ‘R’ Us, we also remember when K.B. Toys was popular. Not unlike today, there wasn’t such a thing as having too many toy stores. Sometimes we found things at K.B.s that felt like a treat. The cluttered aisles probably annoyed our parents, but we were always happy when we were allowed to pick something out.

Getty Images

8. Wet Seal

Yes, Wet Seal made the list of stores we loved in the '90s. Unlike Goody’s, it was specifically geared towards pre-teens and teens who wanted to wear the latest fashions. It was one of the the places to discover your style at the time even if it meant leaving piles of clothes for weary store associates to put back (sorry!)

Though we miss it, we hope no one tries to revive it because we’re sure we’d see a few outdated fashion trends.

Getty Images

9. Esprit

This was another store that screamed 'All American Teen Store.' Unlike Wet Seal, the store's layout and clothing were a little more 'sophisticated.' It spoke to teens who are now adults with a sleeker preppy style. It sounds like a reach, but it's not if you think about it. This store could give you logomania, tenniscore, or something that resembled the outfits from Saved By the Bell at the same time.

10. Goody's

Were you really a '90s kid if your mom didn’t drag you to Goody’s? Shockingly enough, we hardly ever complained because it felt like a huge store we could play in. Plus, it had clothes for everyone.

And if there were a sale during BTS season? You could always count on our moms to leave the store with stuffed shopping bags.

Which '90s stores do you wish were still open? Let us know on Facebook!
