Emily Ratajkowski Can Date Whomever She Wants To

Supermodel Emily Ratajkowskiand singerHarry Styles were seen locking lips in Tokyo this past weekend, sparking international speculation as to whether or not the duo is dating.

In an up-close-and-personal video, EmRata and Styles, both newly single, share a very passionate kiss in the streets of Tokyo.

The kiss heard 'round the world (quite literally) happened earlier this week, but fans are still shocked by the unexpected pairing, especially considering both of their recent (and very public) relationships.

Celebrities also shared in the collective dismay on social media, most notably singer (and IMO the funniest celeb on social media) Lewis Capaldi.

so unsatisfied

Styles recently split from actress and director Olivia Wilde, following an on-again-off-again relationship that spanned two years, which was a whole *thing* all on its own. While the “As it Was” singer was rumored to date several women since the split, nothing has been confirmed by Styles himself.

"Harry is seeing someone. He’s going to great lengths to keep her identity quiet after the circus surrounding his relationship with Olivia," a source told The Mirror of Styles’ alleged new 'ship. "But his close circles all know about the romance. Though it’s early days, things seem to be going well."

While it’s not clear who the source was referring to, we can only assume they meant Ratajkowski. The model recently ended her marriage to actor and producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, who is best known for his work in Uncut Gems. The couple announced their divorce following four years of marriage and one child together.

Since their divorce, Ratajkowski is no stranger to the limelight. The bestselling author of My Body started a podcast, called the High Low with EmRata, which aims to host intimate conversations on low and high-brow topics, from TikTok relationships to politics, philosophy, feminism, and sex.

Despite her growing career, Ratajkowski rockets to the front-of-mind for celebrity news aficionados because of the men she’s often linked to, not her ongoing work.

Pre-Styles, she’s been linked to industry pros likeBrad Pitt, DJ Orazio Rispo, Pete Davidson, and Eric André (which prompted this viral photo), all resulting in a lot of backlash.

The question has to be asked: Why do people care so much about who Ratajkowski dates? And why don’t people care about Styles?

Who anyone chooses to start a relationship is truly none of our business. Whether they want to date around for fun, or are looking to find love, it really shouldn't matter. When Taylor Swift sang that if she were a man she’d be “just like Leo in Saint-Tropez” in her Lover-era song, she articulates this conundrum perfectly — why can’t women be surrounded by models without all the salacious gossip and hate?

Women are scrutinized and objectified enough in the public eye – yes, even supermodels. Societal expectations can be ruthless, especially for single moms, so there is no need for anyone to pile their opinions onto the life of another.

So date around! Do whatever you want, because at the end of the day everyone deserves to find someone special, and no one should suffer from the burden of outdated, and frankly sexist, cultural norms.

We’re happy for you, EmRata! But, uh, if Harry’s up for smooching…send him our way next please! ;)

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner keep making headlines — and apparently Jen's boyfriend, John Miller, may not be too happy about it. A source spoke to Page Sixabout John's reaction to everything, and all signs point to potential trouble in paradise. After giving her an ultimatum, could this be the end of our recent Jen and Ben sightings? Here's what we know.

Scroll to find out what's going on with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and John Miller...

A source recent spoke to Page Six, giving everyone a behind-the-scenes look at on what's really going on between Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, and John Miller right now. While this trio isn't exactly in a love triangle, there are some complicated emotions flying at the moment.

The source explained that John "has always been supportive of Ben and Jen’s co-parenting relationship, but feels Ben crossed the line." This comes after the recent — and very cozy — paintball pictures of the ex-spouses.

“John knows there’s nothing going on between Jen and Ben," the source continued. "But he doesn’t think those photos are a good look and feels it’s disrespectful to their relationship.”

Apparently, John “gave Jen an ultimatum” recently, explaining that “he doesn’t want to see anything like that again or he has no choice but to walk away.” Yikes!

According to PEOPLE, Jennifer Garner and John Miller have been linked together since 2018 — with a brief break apart around 2021. However, a source told PEOPLE that Jen was "very happy" with John back in December, and that she "sees him almost every day," intimating that things were just fine between the couple.

Do you think these two will make it? Or will Ben actually find his way back in (another) Jen's good graces? Only time will tell I guess!

Trader Joe’s carries much more than groceries – from skincare goodies to alcohol, you can find some pretty neat stuff between their aisles. You’re going to want to make a beeline to their home goods section ASAP though, because TJ’s just dropped a delightful $4 tomato-scented candle that’s being compared to bougie brands like Loewe and Maison Margiela!

Scroll on to discover more about Trader Joe’s new Tomato Leaf candle.

@traderjoesobsessed

On shelves now, Trader Joe’s Tomato Leaf candle smells like – you guessed it – fragrant tomato leaves. Some shoppers have said it comes across as “verdant and fresh” while others say it’s “slightly sweeter.” So far, the aroma has been divisive among TJ’s fans, but smelling it myself, I think it smells exactly like tomato leaves with a hint of refreshing sweetness – making it a perfect scent to ease you into springtime!

Julia Nagy / PEXELS

This iteration of the Trader Joe’s Tomato Leaf candle is technically a remake of the same scent they released several years ago, but stopped stocking because the glass jars it was cased in posed a safety hazard (ahem, exploding). But fret not – this new container is made of metal, so you shouldn’t expect any glass malfunctions. Plus, it boasts the same precise scent – nothing’s changed in that department!

Reddit

Trader Joe’s fan account @traderjoesobsessed shared the new find with their Instagram followers, and plenty of customers sounded off with excitement.

“Omg yes this is the best one!!!!” one person said.

“This is their greatest candle to date imo,” another person wrote.

“I was actually talking about this a couple days ago with my boyfriend and then magically it appeared!!” someone else commented. “Glad it’s in a tin option even though the glass was beautiful!”

Agence Mald / PEXELS

The Trader Joe’s Reddit page also had some thoughts about the new scent:

“I love this friggin candle,” one person said. “It really took me by surprise.”

“I’m so excited!!” another rejoiced. “This is my all time favorite candle scent of any line ever!”

While some Trader Joe’s shoppers praised it, others had some strong opinions.

“Soapy with a hint of tomato,” someone else noted. “I personally really like it, but I like green, fresher-smelling candles. I hate bakery or sweet candle scents.”

“I love this candle and everyone I know hates it and I’m not allowed to light it when I have my friends over 😆😆,” another said. “It’s SO divisive!!”

Maison Margiela

Across both Instagram and Reddit, several shoppers compared the new Trader Joe’s Tomato Leaf candle to brands that are so bougie. Some comparisons that were made include the Loewe Tomato Leaves candle, Maison Margiela's From The Garden perfume, and the Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle from Flamingo Estate. The Trader Joe’s Tomato Leaf candle costs just $4 for 5.3 ounces worth of candle, so you could absolutely get a similar luxe effect for way less.

Flamingo Estate

The Trader Joe’s Tomato Leaf candle is crafted from a blend of soy wax, coconut oil, and beeswax. It also comes complete with a lead-free cotton wick to ensure a clean burn. Totally fresh and definitely unique, I’d say it’s worth the money – especially for a fresh feel during spring!

Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper are historically private when it comes to the ins-and-outs of their relationship, but Gigi just gave us a peak behind the curtain in a recent interview with Vogue. Gigi gave some rare details on their "very romantic" relationship, and she finally revealed how she actually met the Silver Linings Playbook actor. Here's everything we found out!

Scroll to find out how Gigi Hadid met Bradley Cooper!

Gigi told Vogue that she and Bradley met during a birthday party for one of their mutual friend's children — sounds pretty normal, right? I mean, so far as normal gets when two major celebrities show up to the same party. But still, Gigi deems it normal.

“You want to give yourself a normal experience of dating, and even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard. Where do you go? And, what? You just start talking to people?" she said. "And then there’s another added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe that people are going to have your back and not call TMZ or go on Deuxmoi or whatever, but you just don’t know.”

Since meeting, Gigi said she and Bradley are "very romantic and happy" — something she definitely values in her relationship. “I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential, and then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be," she explained. "I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word."

And at the end of the day, Gigi said that Bradley gives her "so much" encouragement and belief. She said, “For those people you admire to encourage you, it can create so much belief in yourself."

We love to see a mature, supportive, adult relationship like this thrive! Here's to seeing what's next for these two love birds!

The best part of english classes was discovering new authors because of assigned summer reading. I'd pretend to "complain," but I loved when my mom took me to the public library to find books I'd eventually cherish. From Maya Angelou's pivotal memoir to Barbara Kingsolver's assessment of one family's mission work, I learned women could be powerful wordsmiths.

As much as I love reading contemporary romance books or political thrillers that remind me of Paradise, the following novels are the ones I revisit when my TBR list is too overwhelming!

Read the instant-classic books that introduced me to the most iconic female authors of all time

Amazon

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Pride and Prejudice was the only book that challenged me because it's the true definition of a "slow burn" read. Between you and I, Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy are the blueprint for the love stories found in Bridgerton because their romance wasn't rushed. The familiar strangers-to-lovers troupe is there, but Jane Austen took her time showing the seeds of how things blossomed between them.

Amazon

Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

What was supposed to be a luxurious train ride turns into murder when the wealthy Samuel Edward Ratchett is discovered dead during a terrible storm. The guests are bewildered because it appears no one could've accessed his door from the outside, but his fatal wounds indicate otherwise. Detective Hercule Poirot is sure one of the guests is feigning innocence, but he'll have to deduce who was skilled enough to commit an undetectable murder.

Amazon

The Color Purple by Alice Walker

I was introduced to the film version of The Color Purple when I was a little girl and it left a memorable imprint on my mind. Starring Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey, I believed they were Celie and Sofia for the longest. It's the reason why I devoured Alice Walker's book when I was old enough to read it. Mainly, the themes of sisterhood, sexism, racism, and love painted a vivid picture of life for Black women in the deep South. In their story, readers are sure to find something to relate to.

Amazon

White Teethby Zadie Smith

Zadie Smith's White Teeth outlines a friendship between two people from different backgrounds, showing how life isn't always confined to certain "rules." The things Archie Jones and Samad Iqbal found after fighting together in World War II have a profound effect on their friendship as well as their lives. From falling in love again to producing children who challenge the world around them, these two friends struggle to maintain a lease on the things they thought to be true.

Amazon

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings tells of her upbringing in the south with her brother Bailey. From witnessing the strength of their grandmother to experiencing terror at the hands of a "trusted" adult, Maya learns valuable lessons about tenacity, wit, and kindness at a young age. It's these very things that make her one of the greatest literary minds whose work I've been fortunate to read.

Amazon

To Kill a Mockingbirdby Harper Lee

To Kill a Mockingbird broke me into pieces and stitched me back together after I read it for the first time. It's another book that touches on the limiting beliefs that the South is known for and its effect on those around them. Though beautiful, this region hasn't always been the kindest to Black people as evidenced by a one lawyer's determination to prove the innocence of a wrongly accused man.

Amazon

Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood

Margaret Atwood is known for writing dystopian books that paint a somewhat bleak picture of our future. In Oryx and Crake, readers are introduced to "Snowman" who ditched his former name Jimmy once a terrible tragedy changed the trajectory of the world around him. Not only is he alone as the last full being, he's also lost two people he loved dearly. The only thing that keeps Snowman going are Crake's children as he seeks to find the source of the greatest genetic breakdown known to mankind.

Amazon

The Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler

The Parable of the Sower follows Lauren Olamina as she goes from living a protected life to being unable to ignore the realities of those who aren't as fortunate as her. She witnesses how societal and socioeconomic changes affect others, not including the growing calls to pay attention to the climate. As scary as it is, Lauren decides to take a stand to help others and witnesses a rebirth that no one's able to ignore.

Amazon

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

I still remember watching Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon take on the characters found in Celeste Ng's Little Fires Everywhere during the height of the pandemic. It opened up conversations about motherhood and the choices women make that follow us even when we don't want them to. From confronting cover racism to realizing how a life unfulfilled leads to pushing children to live lives we've always wanted to, the world of Shaker Heights is taken for a wild ride when Mia Warren comes into town.

Amazon

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver

Last but not least, there's this incredible work of Barbara Kingsolver. I find myself revisiting The Poisonwood Bible because the themes of it feel more relevant than ever. From the blind faith of Baptist preacher Nathan Price to his wife finally finding her voice after their youngest daughter died, neither they or their children leave the Belgian Congo unscathed. Despite their best efforts to adapt, this family learns that their ignorance stemming from a domineering patriarchal household caused them to be chewed up and spit out. That sometimes there's more than one way to find God, love, and justice if we're willing to look.
