Size Doesn’t Matter
That’s right, smaller can be better! This year, the trend seems to be a focus on both the quality and the origin of the stone — instead of the traditional carat count. “We’re noticing that women are caring less about the size of the stone and more about where it came from,” says Stofenmacher. Ethical fashion has become much more en vogue as of late, and future brides are increasingly interested in sourcing non-blood diamonds as well as recycling family heirlooms or buying from antique stores and auction houses. INFLUENCERS Are Important
It seems social media stars are changing the way we shop for rings! According to Ryzman, a lot of her clients are coming to her with inspiration from fashion influencers and bloggers. “Oftentimes, when customizing a ring for a private client, they’ll reference an influencer that epitomizes their look and style.” How the times have changed! Geometry Class
This year is all about geometric shapes *and* delicate pave settings. “We’ve seen a lot of interest in dainty settings that enhance the center stone,” says Ryzman.
