Which Stylish Wearable Should You Rock This Year?

Cell phones are basically an extension of ourselves. We show our personality through colorful cases and ringtones. It’s not much different when it comes to wearables. With such a wide variety out on the market now, rocking a Jawbone might scream, “Fitness is life!” while a Ringly gives off a style-conscious vibe. Either way, you’re going to want your wearable to look as good as it is useful, especially with New York Fashion Week on the horizon. That’s why we found 11 super chic, runway-worthy wearables that you can work all day, errday.

1. Cuff ($49): You never know when your GPS is going to make you head down a sketchy alleyway in a town brand new to you. Or maybe you’re working late and your night commute requires you to walk through the city by yourself. Stay safe by alerting your loved ones when something goes wrong with Cuff. Just hold down the black square jewel and your smart bracelet will notify those within your Cuff circle until someone responds. You can manage your Cuff circle of family and friends on the Cuff iOS app.

2. Misfit Shine ($120): With a colorful silicone band, you’re ready to tackle the track or dive into the ocean (because Wonder Woman does not take laps in some pool), and all your biometric analytics will appear on the companion app. But if you want to get ready for a fancy dinner atop one of the finest hotels around, simply add your favorite Swarovski chain to your Misfit Shine and you can monitor your activity for the night.

3. Sony Core + SmartBand ($99): Sony’s bright wearables are great for the organization obsessed. Not only will you be able to keep track of your fitness and activity, but it will also help you remember what songs you listened to and what pictures you took. It even has your back while you’re asleep (aka the only time when you can’t organize your life). Sony’s Core and SmartBand are sure to wake you up at the right time and show you how last night’s sleep went. Ahh, finally everything is in order.

4. Olive ($130): What’s better than a stress-relieving wearable? This stunning piece analyzes your bio patterns as you check off tasks on your usually packed schedule. You may not realize it when stress creeps out of nowhere, but Olive does. Through a variety of physical changes, like body temperature, heart rate, activity and quality of sleep, Olive can analyze what gets your shoulders all knotted up. To track your emtions, you’re going to have to help it out a little. If you’re feeling good, tap the wearable once and Olive will review your previous stats so it can take note of what makes you feel chill. If your annoying neighbor’s thumping party jams are hampering you from getting work done, rub the textured portion of the wearable and Olive will find out what else (besides your neighbors) made you stressed. Olive will even suggest stress management exercises via the companion app so you can breathe in peace.

5. Durr ($129): Every day is an adventure, and a 24-hour cycle is definitely not enough for your upbeat spirit. Time may be a hinderance to all of you jolly peeps out there, and in order to manage all that fun, you’re going to have to keep track of time. But watches only serve as a reminder that time is running out day after day. That’s where Durr comes in. Durr looks like a watch, but it tells time a little differently. Every five minutes, the wearable will shiver so that you can keep track of your personalized sense of time.

6. Activité ($450): The Withings Activité is ideal for the meticulous planner. You probably have three different physical planners and a handful of holy grail calendar/reminder apps to make sure you’re always on schedule. It’s only right for you to have a meticulously detailed wearable. Activité offers the beauty of the Helvetica Watch and the intelligence of smart devices. In addition to tracking your fitness, the time shown on the watch will always be correct. Seriously, always. Whether you’re flying back and forth between time zones or forgot about daylight savings (which you wouldn’t, because you made a reminder for that), this wearable will always give you the correct time so all your plans and schedules will be executed perfectly to the millisecond.

7. Siren ($250): This techy ring is for the night owl. You love the nightlife on the weekends and you love taking self-reflecting midnight walks during the weekdays. Siren is going to be the wearable you’ll have on you at all times. It may just look like an awesome chunky ring, but if you twist the gem, it’ll let out a super high-pitched sound and act as an ear-ringing (pun intended) distraction.

8. Ringly ($195-$260): “Seriously, why do you even have a phone?” If you hear this from your friends all the time, we get it. You’re just going with life’s flow, and if that means your phone kindasortamaybe always just ends up at the bottom of your purse for 70% of the day, then you go with it. But to silence those people who are super fed up with you never answering calls or texts, there’s Ringly. With Ringly, it’s a win-win sitch for you because you get to continue with your daily ways and Ringly will notify you if something important comes up. Just let this wearable know what calls, texts, emails and social media interactions you want to be notified about and you will have a unique vibration tone and/or flashing, colored light for each person.

9. QBracelet ($78): You’re always playing games, listening to music, watching videos and thumbing through all the super cool articles on the Brit + Co app (#ShamelessPlug), meaning your battery is always dying before the day is done. That’s why you’re going to need the QBracelet. Packed with a lithium-ion battery, the QBracelet is equipped to juice up your phone any time. When you don’t need it, it’s flying undercover as awesome arm candy. It comes with the option of either a micro-USB or an Apple lightning connector, so it’s compatible with Windows, Android and Apple phones.

10. MICA Bracelet ($495): This fashionable piece is for all the popular kids out there. You’re expecting calls from work and from your friends on the regular, you’re super fast at texting and switching between the emoji keyboard and your default language keyboard and everyone is inviting you to everything on all of your social media platforms. But because there’s nothing more dizzying than looking at your flooded notifications menu on your phone, the MICA Bracelet can ease your mind by only showing you all your general notifications on its touchscreen. If you want an edgier piece that does the same thing as the MICA Bracelet, you might want to check out Rebecca Minkoff’s notifications wearable ($120).

11. Tory Burch for Fitbit ($175-$195): Health nuts, it’s time to assemble. No more counting calories, no more guesstimating how far you ran (and rounding up) and definitely no more boring workouts. Did we mention that you’ll be rocking Tory Burch’s signature design while you do all this? Tory Burch’s Fitbit line features jewelry pieces that can hold a Fitbit Flex inside. For the necklace, it’s in the pendant. For the bracelet, it’s in the rectangular charm. The Fitbit Flex tracks your physical activity, sleep quality, how many calories you’ve burned, how many steps you took that day and more. You can set goals, earn badges and see your progress on the app and in the mirror because girl, you look gooood.

Which fashionable wearable was totally you? What was your favorite feature out of all of them? We really want to hear all about it in the comments!

You'd think someone with acne-prone skin wouldn't buy viral beauty finds without doing thorough research, but I'm not above trying to recreate all the latest makeup trends at home. All this did was remind me that everything isn't for everyone — and that's okay! Well...it's not okay I fee like I wasted money, but at least I know what to stay away from. And now I'm here to help you figure out what to avoid as well!

Even though this products didn't work for me, that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't use them. These are just my least faves of the year — take 'em or leave 'em!

Here are all the overrated beauty finds I wish I wouldn't have bought

Amazon

1. MILK Hydro Grip Primer

I should've known better than to buy this again, but I wanted to see if my skin would react better to it. The first time I tried to use this, I broke out along my jaws in tiny, red bumps. They were itchy and eventually turned into dark spots that took me over a year to get rid of.

Instead of letting that be the red flag that kept me away from this beauty find, I decided to use it in place of my trusted e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip Primer I've been relying on. Two things happened:

  1. It created a beautiful base for my makeup.
  2. I didn't break out, but my faced still felt itchy.

I even switched my makeup brushes and checked to make sure other makeup products weren't expired. The culprit continued to be this primer so it's made it to my overrated list.

Amazon

2. KORA Organics Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Serum

I was initially sent this to test, but I decided to buy it myself to see if I truly like it. While it was easy to add to my skincare routine lineup, I realized I actually didn't need to spend $70+ for an effective Vitamin C serum. The only difference between this serum and the one I truly love are their colors and textures.

This one has a slightly yellowish-orange tint to it while being a little thicker compared to the Timeless Skin Care Vitamin C serum I use. The latter is thinner and 100% transparent, plus the odor is slightly stronger. However, both of them aid in smoother skin, smaller pores, and a healthy glow.

I honestly wouldn't buy this one again just because I can get the same benefits for a lesser price.

Amazon

3.NYX Cosmetics Fat Oil Lip Drip

This is a controversial take, but I honestly didn't love the NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip. Although I love the color payoff, it was too sticky for my liking. I saw reviews that mentioned this, but I've purchased lip glosses other people didn't love that worked for me in the past. However, the reviews are telling the truth: the stickiness takes away from what could've been a great formula.

I'll just stick to my Tower 28 Lip Softie Hydrating Lip Treatment in Ube Vanilla!

Amazon

4. L'Oréal Voluminous Panorama Washable Mascara

I know people love this beauty find because it is great. I just didn't think the hype was enough to convince me to buy it again because my essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara gets the job done for $5. I will say I love the washable feature of L'Oréal's version, but it's still not enough to make me willingly spend over $10 for it.

As great of a product as this is, it's overrated to me because of the price tag.

Sephora

5. Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation

Sigh...it's so hard for me to admit this, but this Haus Labs foundation has become my most overrated beauty find of 2024. It's not that it doesn't work for a few hours, but my skin prefers tinted moisturizers more than anything. I talked about it briefly on TikTok, but skin tints feel like you're not wearing anything on your face.

I'm always really oily after wearing this foundation for a few hours, but I can get extended wear out of the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Tint I've been wearing. I like to think it's because it has vegan collagen, ceramides, and cactus extract in it whereas this foundation has ingredients like fermented arnica in it.

Both do a great job of calming inflammation, but something about this foundation makes my skin think it's incredibly dry.

Studio McGee has spent the last decade inspiring us with a blend of accessible and elevated designs, creating beautiful and totally livable spaces. In her 2025 Home Decor Trends report, Shea McGee emphasizes that home decor trends evolve gradually over time, and I couldn’t agree more. Unlike the fast-paced world of fashion, where trends shift every season, these design moves develop organically over time, and that's good for your wallet and taking your time to create a space you love. Get inspired to refresh your home in 2025 with a few new accents, from embellishments like fringe to maybe a little western or seaside art.

Here are Studio McGee's 2025 Home Decor Trend Predictions, with a few surprises!

Romantic Silhouettes

Take Romantic Silhouettes, for example. This is a trend we've seen steadily gain traction over the past few years. Think curvy furniture, delicate floral prints, and soft blush hues — when curated thoughtfully, these elements can become timeless staples in your home.

Western Cowboy

This is a design trend that totally surprised me, but I'm so happy to see it in the mix. Elements like leather furniture, rustic accessories, equestrian art, even wood walls, shown in this office designed by A1000XBetter, are making an impact in 2025 and beyond. But Shea notes that you can take this trend literally or just be inspired by the look. You can also mix it with other styles to personalize it for you. Add romantic pillows or ruffled tablecloths like McGee & Co. x Loeffler Randall Gardenia Ruffle Border Tablecloth – things you love that make it yours vs. based solely on one trend.

Saturated Colors

Shea predicts that rich hues like deep browns, oxblood red, and earthy greens will continue to dominate home decor colors going into 2025. House of Rolison's bathroom brown is an excellent example of this beautiful trend.

Pattern Drenching

Embracing a single pattern and drenching an entire room in it — from walls to pillows, headboards, and curtains — is a surprise trend for 2025. This maximalist approach, which has been quietly gaining traction, draws inspiration from Arts and Crafts designers like William Morris and has been in and out of vogue since the Victorian era.

McGee & Co.

Embellishments

This is a trend you can easily DIY to add an extra layer of charm to your decor. Think playful details like fringe accents —beautifully shown in McGee & Co.'s Philippa Settee — along with tassels, pleats, ruffles, and rope. It’s all about embracing texture and whimsy, so have fun with it!

McGee & Co.

Seaside Inspiration

Coastal decor has long been an influence in design and you can be inspired by it in many forms, from shell accents to beach-inspired artwork like McGee & Co.'s Distant Coastline art to textured seagrass baskets and jute rugs. Even the soothing hues of the sea — think soft blues, sandy neutrals, and gentle greens — can inspire your 2025 spaces.
