Find Out the Best Time to See the Orionid Meteor Shower Magic

We’ll always be enchanted by the wonders of space — meteor showers, constellations and basically anything existing in our fabulous galaxy. That’s why we want to be in the know of any cosmic marvels coming our way. If you missed (or were totally thrilled by) this summer’s Perseid Meteor Shower, then you definitely won’t want to miss the Orionid Meteor Shower happening right now.

It gets its name from the constellation Orion because the meteors appear to be shooting from the hunter’s raised club. Too cool!

With Halley’s Comet currently in our area — something that hasn’t happened since 1986 and won’t occur again until 2061 — Earth is passing through the cosmic body’s wake. Because of this, we witnessed an estimated 25 meteors per hour flying through space at the event’s peak, which happened to be this morning. But don’t worry, you haven’t missed all of the fun!

The shower actually started on October 16 and will last until October 26, so if you didn’t manage to shake yourself awake in the early hours this morning because, like most others, you had to work today, then you still have plenty of time to catch the Orionid Meteor Shower.

To get a glimpse of the space-bound spectacle, head outside an hour or two before dawn and look for Orion. The meteors are incredibly fast and can zoom by in the blink of an eye, so be sure to keep your eyes open. And don’t forget to make a wish on your “shooting star.”

If you're a 90s movies (and horror movies) lover, you might agree that nothing beats an old school slasher. I Know What You Did Last Summer, which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prinze Jr., premiered in 1997, combines everything we love about coming of age movies — friends, summer vacation, and drama — with just enough terror to send a chill down your spine. And just like the original, the new I Know What You Did Last Summer features some of the hottest names in Hollywood.

Everything you need to know about the new I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel movie, coming to theaters July 18, 2025.

Watch the 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' trailer now.

This is definitely not a relaxing summer vacation. For instance, Madelyn Cline's guided meditation bubble bath distracting her from the fact her boyfriend's getting murdered by a harpoon & hook? Yikes. The rest of the I Know What You Did Last Summer trailer shows the full crew escaping the mystery man hunting them — and enlisting the help of Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

Is there a 3rd I Know What You Did Last Summer?

Columbia Pictures

Yes, a brand new I Know What You Did Last Summer is coming to theaters this summer. But just because it's a new film doesn't mean it won't have plenty of nostalgia.

"There's lots of '90s in there, so get excited because the '90s are back again!" Jennifer Love Hewitt, who's returning for the movie, told People. "And there's lots of twists and turns. I don't think people are going to expect anything that's coming. It's a really fun ride."

"We approached it like super fans, so I think people are going to be really happy," writer-director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson added. "All the things that you want to see in this movie, you're going to see in this movie."

In the new I Know What You Did Last Summer, five friends accidentally cause a deadly car accident and agree to keep the secret forever. But when someone starts terrorizing them the next year, they reach out to Julie and Ray for help. And Jennifer Love Hewitt can't get enough of this new "phenomenal" cast!

"It's for them to make it their own and for me to stand by like a proud mom and say, 'It's yours now, take it and run and enjoy,'" she told People.

"When you get a group of young actors together, it can be a recipe for disaster oftentimes," Chase Sui Wonders added. "But everyone in this cast just brought it to the nth degree. We all got along so well. The chemistry between us was so fun and natural and seamless."

My packing list for a long summer hike is stacked – a trusty water pack, reliable SPFs (for both faceandbody), and yummy snacks are just the basics. Though this lineup supports my travels, I know I'm not truly prepared to venture out without a good pair of trail shoes. Comfort is key, of course, but I simply cannot sacrifice the look (even if I know I’m going to be sweating through my sun shirt the whole way). Luckily, these 6 comfy-and-cute trail shoes are undeniably fashion-forward to help you conquer your next adventure – look good, hike good!

Scroll on to shop my 6 favorite trail shoes that deliver on their promise of comfort, all while looking super stylish.

Merrell

Merrell Antora 4 Shoes

Suitable for moderate trails, these trail shoes weigh in just under 8 ounces each, so your steps won't be dragged down. They not only have a foamy footbed with energetic cushion feel, but a durable sole with rugged grips that balance everything out to reduce the chance of slips. The upper is super breathable, too, which is particularly desirable in the hot summer. Pastel sneakers are one of my absolute fave looks for summer, and these Merrell shoes truly help you bring trends to the trail!

Teva

Teva Grandview Max Vent Hiking Boots

While many hiking boot models are clunky and, in my opinion, unworthy of all-day wear, this new design from Teva shines in being streamlined and extremely soft. I got to try 'em out myself, and I was honestly blown away from first wear. The first thing I noticed about 'em was that they were super breathable – I could literally feel the airflow through the meshy upper material, which is something I haven't ever experienced with other trail shoes or hiking boots.

While I was initially skeptical about the thick platformed soles (since similar designs can cause stability issues), my foot surprisingly feels really connected to the ground when I hike in these. The sole itself is springy and definitely inspired more energy from me during a recent hike.

A few other features I adore are that the laces are durable and tucked away neatly so there's no chance of tripping on them, the neat heel lock reinforcement, and lest I forget the sweet color palette! It's the perfect blend of feminine and masculine – an energy I commonly and happily embrace in the outdoors.

Keen

Keen Jasper Zionic Sneakers x Pilgrim Surf + Supply

Tongue-to-toe laced shoes like these are already so popular in the fashion realm – but you can't deny that they're still expertly tailored for trail use! Though these are definitely a style you'd spot on the street (hello, sneaker bros!), you might overlook the fact that they boast practical high-traction soles and a resilient foam insole for immaculate comfort. Of course, the earthy color story and suede material elevate them enough to be worn off-trail, too. I need me a pair ASAP.

Salomon

Salomon X Ultra 360 Edge Hiking Shoes

Undeniably graphic (thanks to the sleek color blocking), these Salomon shoes are sure to turn heads on the trail, but you'll be satisfied alone knowing they're comfy AF. They have an especially soft midsole for added stability, which is typically a pain point for low-profile trail shoes like these. The reliable grippiness on the soles allows you to take them on trails with varied terrain, too – not even the tiniest of pebbles or biggest of boulders will be an obstacle! Plus, I adore the the lace-free design for easy on and off. Taking your trail shoes off after a long day is the best feeling, and you don't want it to be a slow process so you can make a beeline to your nearest burger and beer spot for a reward!

Free People

Merrell Moab 3 Bliss Hike Sneakers

I! love! pastels! They're my most-anticipated summer sneaker trend, and you can absolutely translate what's happening on the streets for the trail, whether it's for a day hike, backpacking trek, or cozy camping weekend. I think the contrasting laces are what really make these stand out as fashion-forward trail shoes. They're just so fun to look at!

While these trail shoes do show the bottoms of your feet lots of love with cushy, contoured insoles, the padded collar and tongue up top ensure the flip side of your step is still secure and comfy as ever. They supply you with that classic Merrell look with playful side paneling that's sure to earn you style points among other hiking fiends!

Hikerkind

Hikerkind x Keen Targhee IV Hiking Boots

I fear 'obsessed' is an understatement when I'm talking about these hiking boots. More utilitarian in their look, the muted brown colorway of these shoes lets you have more fun with bolder pants, tops, and layers – the trail is your runway, TBH. These can also easily be taken to the street since they boast a nice balance between rugged (helpful for traversing the city sidewalks) and sleek (perfect for pairing with dressier 'fits)!

I adore that these are crafted with the environment and sourcing materials responsibly in mind: they're waterproofed with PFAS-free materials and made with responsibly-sourced leather. Still, they're a shoe to last a lifetime since durability was also key in designing 'em.

Thanks to the eternal popularity of Gilmore Girls, we all know mother-daughter shows are some of the best around. And if you ask me, Ginny and Georgia are totally the next Rory and Lorelai. If you're looking for a new series to binge while getting cozy this winter, then look no further than Ginny & Georgia. It's got intrigue, it's got romance, it's got drama — which is exactly why it's one of the Netflix shows you should binge on a break!

Keep reading for everything you need to know about Ginny & Georgia season 3.

When does season 3 of Ginny & Georgia come out?

Brooke Palmer/Netflix

You can stream Ginny & Georgia on Netflix starting June 5, 2025.

What is Ginny & Georgia season 3 about?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia follows the titular mother-daughter duo (plus Ginny's little brother Austin) who move from Texas to Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the death of Georgia's husband. But while a new town, a new school, and new friends can be complicated on their own, things get even messier in season 2 when Ginny discovers her step-dad's death wasn't an accident.

And at the end of season 2, Georgia's arrested for murder in the middle of her wedding reception. This was "always the plan," according to creator Sarah Lampert. "How we pitched season 1 and then how we ended our pitch of season 2 was, 'Then Georgia's married to Paul, they're having their first dance, and she's arrested for murder,'" she told People in January 2023.

"I'm blown away that the writers are still able to show us completely new sides of each character, and that's what you're going to see in season 3," actress Brianne Howey says. "You will see a lot of grit and hustle, but in an entirely new way. Georgia has to dig deeper into a part of herself we haven't seen yet. So, she has to use that grit in all new ways."

Who's in the cast?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia stars Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, and Raymond Ablack as Joe.

How old was Georgia when she had Ginny?

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Georgia was 15 years old when she gave birth to Ginny. This is another detail that reminds us of Gilmore Girls since Lorelai was 16 when she had Rory!

Where can I watch Ginny & Georgia?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia season 3 is premiering June 5, 2025 on Netflix, which is where you can stream all 20 episodes of the show (10 in season one and 10 in season two). It's safe to assume that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will also have 10 episodes.

It won't be long before we can finally see Emma Stone's newest flick Eddington (which also stars Pedro Pascal, Joaquin Phoenix, and Austin Butler, BTW). That means the Emma Stone movie marathon starts now. Emma's one of the best actors around because you can tell she just opens herself up to whatever her role requires. She isn't afraid to do crazy things, or to make a fool out of herself, and her relentless dedication to each project she takes on means she makes an impression on everyone she comes in contact with — both on set and in theaters.
But she's also just an incredible person. Whether it's her friendship with any amount of beloved celebs (Ryan Gosling! Taylor Swift! Jennifer Lawrence!) or her relationship with her husband, if Emma Stone has one fan it's me.

Here are the best Emma Stone movies to watch before Eddington hits theaters this July 18, 2025.

La La Land

Lionsgate

Okay, let's get this out of the way: we can all agree La La Land is the best Emma Stone movie, right?! This old school, critically acclaimed musical follows aspiring actress Mia (Emma Stone) and jazz musician Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) when they cross paths in Los Angeles. The whole movie explores what it looks like to balance chasing your dreams with your relationships, as well as what you're willing to do to make your dreams happen. If you didn't cry the first time you saw this movie (and the ending), you're lying!!

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Warner Bros. Entertainment

This Emma Stone movie single handedly proves just how good rom-coms can be. The actress plays plays Hannah, a young woman who feels torn between her loveless relationship and an exciting new guy she meets in a bar (played by none other than Ryan Gosling, thank goodness). It's heartwarming, it's hilarious, and it's relatable. What more could you want?!

Poor Things

Searchlight Pictures

We simply cannot have this list without mentioning Emma Stone's latest Oscar-winning role. Poor Things focuses on Emma's Bella Baxter, who is brought back to life by a scientist before she's whisked away on an adventure full of secrets, new discoveries, and twists.

Easy A

Sony Pictures Releasing

Speaking of rom-coms, Easy A is, without a doubt, a love letter to all the best classic '80s romantic movies. Olive (Emma Stone) is an intelligent high school student who accidentally convinces the whole school she'll sleep with anyone for money. The movie explores choice, agency, and romance in totally unexpected ways. Plus Penn Badgley and Emma Stone have INCREDIBLE chemistry.

Battle of the Sexes

Fox/Searchlight Pictures

Before we got Challengers, Emma Stone wowed as Billie Jean King. She starred opposite The Office's Steve Carrell (who played Bobby Riggs) in the movie, which is loosely based on the 1973 tennis match between the two players. Like all of her roles, Emma totally disappears into Billie Jean, and was nominated for a Golden Globe and Critics Choice award.

The Help

Touchstone Pictures/DreamWorks

Not only is this one of my favorite Emma Stone movies, I think it's one of Jessica Chastain's best movies too! In this flick, we see Emma as aspiring writer Skeeter Phelan, who teams up with the African American maids working in 1963 Jackson, Mississippi to tell their stories. Skeeter sheds light on the injustices and discrimination these women face every day, while also learning about it herself. As much as I love this movie, I'm also ready for them to redo it, centering the "voices of the maids" — and Viola Davis is too.

Cruella

Walt Disney Pictures

Disney lovers can't get enough of our favorite characters' costumes, but Cruella takes this fashion obsession to a whole new level. This live-action prequel to 101 Dalmatians follows Emma Stone's Estella, a young woman in 1970s London who loves fashion. There's a little bit of a The Devil Wears Prada vibe as Estella climbs the ranks of the fashion world, enacting revenge on her enemies — and transforming into Cruella de Vil as she goes.

Zombieland

Sony Pictures Releasing

Emma Stone is such a master at ridiculous comedy that Zombieland HAD to make this list. This post-apocalyptic horror-comedy, Emma Stone plays Wichita, a resourceful big sister (which means she's automatically a survivor, thank you Eldest Daughter Syndrome) in a world that's been totally overrun by zombies. She's joined by Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), and her little sister Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) on a journey to find freedom and family.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Sony Pictures Releasing

Now, I know this is controversial, but I consider Andrew Garfield to be MY Spider-Man. And I remember being totally wrecked by the second movie in his duology. Emma Stone shines as Gwen Stacy, and brings even more grit, spunk, and confidence to the role than she did in the first movie. Plus, Jamie Foxx's Electro is one of my favorite villains ever.

The House Bunny

Sony Pictures Releasing

Emma Stone takes on a supporting role in this comedy as Natalie, an intellectual college student who gets a wholly unexpected education when former Playboy bunny Shelley (Anna Faris) becomes her sorority's house mother. Shelley teaches the women about confidence and self-acceptance, while they teach her that appearances aren't everything.
