15 Pairs of Frilly Hem Trousers Lazy Girls Will LOVE

You’re regularly on the prowl for ways to inject major pep into your step — maybe it’s a little extra dazzle from your glitter-flecked chunky-heeled shoes, or perhaps it’s your pastel-hued cocoon coat that’s working overtime to deliver on the style front. Either way, we’ve uncovered the latest head-turning pant trend. This is NOT a drill: You need to run — don’t walk — to snatch up a pair of the season’s most coveted frilly hem crop trousers. Not only are they ridiculously playful (think of them as the exclamation point to every polished #OOTD), but you can actually rock them in the boardroom without any side eye from HR. Can we get an amen? Ahead, we’ve compiled 15 pairs of boss babe-approved trousers that are more than deserving of a spot in your lazy girl capsule wardrobe, ‘cause they’re just that dang comfortable.

1. Zara Frilled Trousers ($70): Can you count the ways to sport these frilled trousers that can be styled from a.m. to p.m. with a quick swap (or two)? The limit does not exist. Keep things profesh with a crisp button-down and two-tone loafers before slipping into a sheer lace blouse, a leather jacket and ankle-strap steppers for late-night cocktails.

2. ASOS Occasion Pants With Frill Hem ($49): Must you always resort to an LBD for black tie affairs and after-hours functions? Girl, you’re better than that! Resist the urge to blend in with the crowd (major snooze) by slipping into these blush-hued fancy pants that were made for shimmying on the dance floor. Proceed to pair these lightweight, silky-smooth bottoms with a basic tee or a sultry lace-up bodysuit, keeping in mind that next-level steppers will be in order.

3. Reformation Mesa Pant ($138): Say buh-bye to your day-in, day-out uniform of boyfriend jeans and a tee — when you want to look a tad more put together, kick it up a notch with these cropped black pants that will take you from brunch to happy hour. Ditch your squeaky-clean image by opting for a vintage rocker tee, a suede moto jacket and retro Mary Janes for a don’t-mess-around ‘tude.

4. Front Row Shop Black Flare Crop Pants ($56): Details, people, details! Though at first glance these unsuspecting black crop pants may not seem MVP-worthy, it’s the kicky little flares that bring the drama. Teamed with an architectural top, modern hoop earrings and a sleek leather satchel — oh, and don’t forget some ugly-pretty glove shoes — the result will be nothing short of groundbreaking.

5. ASOS Frill Hem Wide Leg Pant ($34): While we know it’s tempting to reach for your beloved Lululemons every time a case of the outfit blahs hits — or when you roll out of bed 10 minutes too late — here’s our advice: DON’T. Allow these laid-back chic wide-leg pants to come to the rescue instead. They’re flattering enough to be worn beyond the confines of your bedroom with a cropped sweatshirt and old-school Adidas kicks, and dressy enough to be teamed with an off-the-shoulder crop top and platform sandals for a night out.

6. Club Monaco Brionia Ruffled Pant ($229): Ultra-femme is the name of the game when it comes to these Blair Waldorf-esque ruffled pants that read urban sophisticate. Whether you’re stepping up to the hostessing plate or have a few fêtes to attend, let it be known that these flouncy bottoms are up to the challenge. Class them up with your grammie’s pearls, a bell-sleeve blouse (preferably in a rich jewel tone) and some sparkly pumps for a swoon-inducing getup.

7. House of Sunny Crop Kick Flare Pants ($91): Single-digit temps, you say? Eww. Bundling up like an eskimo doesn’t have to equate to sloppy sweats that really deserve to be kept in hiding. Introducing the wool kick flare trousers you didn’t know you needed, but now won’t be able to live without. Combat frightful weather in style by cozying up in a floor-length topper, an oversized knit jumper and pointed-toe ankle booties for all the style points this season — give or take a cheeky beanie and a swipe of red lipstick.

8. Style Mafia Jeny Pants ($119): Despite popular consensus, embroidered and patchwork jeans aren’t the end-all-be-all when it comes to hacking a trend-right look this fall. Case in point: These denim flares featuring an asymmetrical fringed hemline and a punk-inspired aesthetic are a definite nod to the ‘90s. Way more man-repelling than your typical cropped flares, these bad boys are begging to be styled alongside a silk pajama top, a hot pink faux fur coat and backless mules for a traffic-stopping getup.

9. & Other Stories Frilly Trousers ($95): When dressy culottes meet frilly trousers, these boardroom-approved slacks are the way sophisticated result. Just because you’re working in a conservative office doesn’t mean you always have to play by the rules. The unexpected hemline is guaranteed to catch the attention of the higher-ups, while lending instant panache to your nine-to-five uniform. Sign us up, please.

10. Zara Leather-Feel Trousers ($70): Listen up, fearless street-style mavens! These fierce leather pants need to be on your radar STAT. And none of this nonsense about not being edgy enough to pull ‘em off — the ultra-girly hem is an open invitation to toss on a pretty peplum top and chandelier earrings for a date-night-ready look. But don’t be mistaken: You can just as easily channel some RiRi swagger with a metallic bomber, a backward baseball cap and patent ankle boots.

11. Zara Pompom Trousers ($70): Pass up the opportunity to sport pom-pom-trimmed trousers with this much pomp and circumstance? Not on our watch. We’re pretty sure these were made for a fiesta, a holiday shindig or even a low-key vino night spent with your best gal pals. Pair them alongside a deep v-neck cricket sweater and suede mules for an upscale look.

12. Forever 21 Rehab Flared Pants ($48): Take note: When you find pants that fit and flatter in all the right places — bonus points, ‘cause these even come with an elastic waist — you make it a point to scoop up multiple pairs. TBH, there’s a good chance you’ll never want to take them off anyway.

13. SCMUTT Ruffle Trimmed Straight Pants ($118): Between the ruffled hem and deep mustard hue, these anything-but-predictable straight-leg pants are guaranteed to rack up the compliments IRL and on Insta. Be forewarned: They may cause you to break out in a spontaneous dance party at any given moment — they’re just that fly and ready to mingle. As for styling, rest assured they’ll look equally noteworthy with mid-heel ankle booties as platform loafers and contrast socks.

14. ASOS Farleigh High Waist Slim Mom Jeans in Washed Black With Flared Frill Hem ($61): Cool girl alert, cool girl alert! For all you babes who march to the beat of your own drum, we’ve got the *perfect* flared mom jeans for you. While the extreme high-rise fit reads downtown hipster, the frill hem makes it clear you’re not messing around. Complete your all-black-errthang uniform with a felt fedora, stripes and studded ballerinas for an alternative look.

15. Front Row Shop Golden Brown Flare Crop Pants ($40): Crunchy leaves, trips to the pumpkin patch and wooly knit pullovers. Are we sensing a theme here? You better believe these ochre-hued flare crop pants are the missing piece of the sartorial puzzle. Pair with an oversized mock neck sweater, a timeless wool topper and lace-up flats for an outfit that’s autumnal AF. And we mean that in the best possible way.

I know it's extremely early, but I'm getting all the fall feels right now. Starbucks just dropped pumpkin spice and Target set out their fall and Halloween decor, meaning my body is 100% ready to curl up with a cozy book and indulge in the seasonal goodness. One of the best parts of fall for me is the outfits – I can really start dressing (phew, no more shorts)! Anthropologie fall dresses are absolutely top-of-mind when it comes to the changing seasons, and the retailer has so many cute options to shop right now. These 11 Anthropologie fall dresses will stylishly take you into autumn and set up your fall outfits for success – shop 'em below!

Anthropologie

The Katerina Button-Front Dress

My favorite thing about fall is the cozy color palette that comes along with it. This dress' floral pattern is flooded with warm oranges and serene greens that make matching it with your fave cardigans and jackets a total breeze. The v-neckline is universally flattering, too, while the buttoned waist hugs your figure in perfectly.

Anthropologie

Maeve Short-Sleeve V-Neck Swing Mini Dress

Another must-have component for any fall dress is comfort. This swing mini keeps things very comfortable, since it's fairly free-flowing against your body. The contrasting stitching along the edges and pockets supply a good amount of structure, though, so you're not totally drowning. This pick would look so chic with a power duo of tall black boots with white socks peeking over the edges.

Anthropologie

AFRM Aisla Mesh Midi Dress

For those warmer fall days, this mesh dress saves the day. It surely won't be missed anywhere you wear it, thanks to the bold polka dot pattern. Though bold in pattern, the neutral color palette sets the stage for endless pairing opportunities. This pick has some nice coverage all around the body, plus it arrives ready to wear with a light lining underneath!

Anthropologie

Conditions Apply Chloe Maxi Slip Dress

Immediately yes. If you want to stun on your next date night this fall, this slip is the one! The silhouette is simple, but what really makes this piece shine is the swirly stripes of color. The deep jewel tones are fall's perfect fit! This dress comes with removable adjustable straps to let you customize your look, and you can dress it up even further with a chic leather jacket and neutral heels.

Anthropologie

PAIGE Kelsee Sleeveless Mini Dress

Along with baggy jeans and denim jackets, I truly haven't been able to escape denim. Fall is *the* time to step out in it! This denim mini dress feels super playful for farmer's market outings or even a low-key day in the park. It has some nice structure to it, thanks to the multitude of pockets and the collared neckline, so it can easily be worn for more formal occasions, too. The tie belt is the real gem of this piece, cinching your figure in in the most flattering way.

Anthropologie

Maeve Short-Sleeve Collared Button-Front Knit Mini Dress

This Anthro dress is oh-so retro and oh-so comfy. Its knit fabrication allows it to generously stretch and move with you, never once restricting your figure. The green and white colorway is quite a stylish departure from your expected fall oranges and browns, so your look will most certainly stand out. This mini buttons up all the way, giving you room to experiment with leaving one or two open at the top to perfect your get-up.

Anthropologie

Pilcro Short-Sleeve V-Neck Smocked Babydoll Mini Dress

Peter Pan collars are already huge, and they're going to be everywhere once fall is officially in full swing. This plaid babydoll dress takes on the trending neckline with plenty of ruffles, eye-catching stitch work, and puff sleeves for a playful, yet sophisticated effect. It's made to boast a loose fit, so it's a no-brainer when it comes to picking out comfy fall 'fits. I'd absolutely style this pick with cowgirl boots and a knit cardigan to amp up the Western vibes.

Anthropologie

The Tobie Button-Front Pleated Shirt Dress by Exquise

Leopard print is another major fall fashion trend for 2024, and there are tons of ways to style it in a polished (not gaudy) way. Case in point is this pleated shirt dress that acts as a statement piece all on its own. The pleats land right around the waistline, stylishly drawing in your figure where you might crave a lil' more definition. The top half of this design is refined by a collar and button-up styling before falling into a flowy midi-length skirt – the perfect pairing for ballet flats!

Anthropologie

The Maya Ruched Cowl-Neck Dress: Textured Edition

I'm convinced that chocolate brown looks good on everyone. This Anthropologie dress is a great comfy piece to don for the office or happy hour, since it's high-coverage around the neckline. The leg slit along the side adds a bit of spice to your ensemble, making room for you to show off your go-to fall boots! This pick is stretchy throughout and flaunts a bit of ruching around the midsection to define your bod.

Anthropologie

The Cecily Fit & Flare Sweetheart Dress by Maeve

This femme dress fits like a glove. It's undoubtedly vintage inspired, boasting adorable cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline before falling into a flared skirt. The pattern highlights tons of tiny little raspberries, which will turn heads everywhere you take this piece. The fabric is fairly stretchy while still providing some structure to your look. For fall, wear it with a denim jacket and white sneakers for a no-fail casual-but-cute outfit.

Anthropologie

The Fleur Strapless Maxi Slip Dress: Linen Edition

Everyone needs a reliable (and high-quality) black maxi. This linen pick is very straightforward in design, boasting a strapless look that'll look iconic with any fall layers you already have in your closet. From denim jackets to colorful cardis, this Anthro dress is a total wardrobe staple to pair with your faves.

It's almost time to return to Cousins! The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 is coming this summer, and Prime Video just gave us a first official look at Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. The new episodes will open at the end of Belly's freshman year of college, and in addition to seeing the evolution of our favorite characters, author and co-showrunner Jenny Han says "there are going to be surprises" in the final season. Eek!

Here's your first look at Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno, and Christopher Briney in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, coming to Prime Video July 2025!

Jenny Han says 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' fans are in for a few surprises.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

"There are the things that [fans] know and then there are things they think they know, and then there's going to be, hopefully, things that surprise them," Jenny Han tells Entertainment Weekly. Listen, I am a very proud member of Team Conrad, and seeing how cozy Belly and Jeremiah are in these pics (not to mention the set leak that's definitely not in the third book), I'm starting to wonder if Prime Video is teasing I should switch teams.

But no matter which team you're on, Lola Tung promises the season won't let you down.

Team #JellyFish will get their time this season.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

"The one thing I've always admired about Jenny is that every season and every decision about what's coming next is purely to serve the story," Lola says. "She's never going to do anything that doesn't make sense for the story. It's all about this beautiful world she's created and giving the fans something really, really special and giving us something really special to work with."

And that includes some sweet moments which Jeremiah and Belly, who "are, at their core, best friends," Lola adds. "That relationship is something that's so special and so unique to them, so it's exciting to see this season and how their relationship blossoms."

And 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' images also feature Conrad.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

But don't worry Conrad fans, we also get a look at the elder Fisher brother who "we know that he went to Stanford, and so he's continuing on his journey to become a doctor, as you can see from that white coat," Jenny says. "I think people won't be surprised to see that."

Keep reading for more images from The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3!

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Jenny Han also teases this image is actually a flashback, "so do with that what you will." BRB, I'm off dreaming of a beach vacation. I also can't help but point out the warm color grade of this season! The golden look makes everything feel warmer and more magical — and offers a youthful glow as Belly gets older.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

But for those of us who care more about Steven and Taylor (Sean Kaufman and Rain Spencer) than the main love triangle, we got this single crumb from the new images. And I'm more than happy about it, thank you very much.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Belly (Lola Tung) gets cozy on campus in a hoodie and sunglasses.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

And Belly and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) get cozy with each other at a party.

Erika Doss/Prime Video

But they work as hard as they play! I have this exact outfit Belly's wearing, and you best believe I'm adding it into my fashion rotation.

How many episodes will The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 have?

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Great news! The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 will have 11 episodes instead of 7 or 8 like seasons 1 and 2 did. Stay tuned for the official release schedule.

Who's in the cast?

Meet The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Cast before the new episodes air on Prime Video this July!

The fashion girlies are loading on the leopard this year, and while the bold animal print may remind you of the rock and roll icons of the 1970’s or send you way back to Snooki’s Jersey Shore era, you have nothing to fear this time around. The leopard print trend has been resuscitated, quiet luxury-style, covering chic pieces from slip dresses to outerwear, and there’s plenty of ways to style the pattern that don’t feel overly cheugy. These 11 leopard print pieces have me so excited to try out the trend for fall. Scroll on for some absolute must-haves, paired with the coolest ways to wear ‘em.

Anthropologie

Damson Madder Dion Leopard Carpenter Cargo Pants

Leopard print jeans are perhaps the lowest-risk way to try out the pattern, especially with this subdued pair. Where some leopard print pieces really boast the pattern with bright colors and high contrast, these are less flashy, but still noticeable. They flaunt a high-rise fit and wide cargo pant legs. I'd style these with a fitted black top and black ballet flats to tie the look together.

Reformation

Reformation Bella Skirt

I fell victim to the great leopard print midi skirt trend back in 2019, and this piece definitely reminds me of its more mature, grown-up sister. This maxi-length skirt from Reformation falls all the way down to the floor, providing a very sleek and chic feel to your silhouette. It's a great contender for a 'night out' outfit – I'd wear it with simple kitten heels and a tiny tank to really up the pattern.

Dolce Vita

Dolce Vita Notice Stitch Sneakers

Not ready to rock full-on leopard print? Opt for some stylish sneakers like this pair from Dolce Vita. They boast the same sporty flair as the famed Adidas Sambas, but certainly have a bit more personality, thanks to the mixed materials and playful stitching. I'd wear these with some black wide-leg jeans and an oversized graphic tee to give real cool girl energy.

Mango

Mango Leopard Knit Cardigan

This leopard printed sweater is everything, and not just because of the foxy pattern. I think the clean-cut hems and slightly-cropped sleeve length really play up the spots in an elevated way, plus you can fuss around with the front buttons to find your utmost perfect fit. Wear this baby with some black capris and kitten heels to achieve a super chic model off-duty look.

Target

A New Day One Shoulder Midi Dress

For an easy one-and-done, this midi dress is the way to go. It's made to have a bodycon fit, so it'll flatter your figure perfectly. As opposed to your basic slip dress, this one flaunts a fun one-shoulder shape with a bow tie at the top. Plus, you get a little bit of sexy edge from the leg slit on the side. A true statement piece! I think it'd look divine with dark red ballet flats and a lightweight black cardigan that you can leave on or easily take off, weather permitting.

Anthropologie

Damson Madder Lily Carpenter Mini Skirt

Another denim leopard print iteration – I simply love to see it. Mini skirts are the most versatile garment you can keep in your closet cross-seasonally, since they look great styled with sandals and winter boots alike. This printed one boasts ample pocket space and an ideal length for sophisticated and casual moments alike. For fall, I'd style this skirt with tall riding boots, tights, and a crisp white button-up shirt to channel an office-ready 'fit.

Dolce Vita

Dolce Vita Silvie Shoulder Bag

The best part about this leopard print purse is that it's reversible – one side is covered in spots, and the other is solid black. This two-toned quality can come in super handy on days you don't necessarily want to wear all-out leopard. The print won't be the only thing turning heads, though. This bag is fitted with both silver and gold hardware as well as an asymmetrical body shape to make your look stand out from the rest. Since it's so bold, I'd definitely pair this piece with a classic little black dress or just jeans and a white tee to let the bag speak for itself.

Sézane

Sézane Betty Cardigan

This Merino wool cardi mimics a jacket, but feels insanely soft. The collar, front pockets, and buttons polish the look up superbly. You could easily wear this pick alone or layered on top of a basic tank. I think it'd look so chic alongside some dark-wash wide-leg jeans and platform sneakers.

Gap

Gap Leopard Belt

For a small touch of leopard, this sturdy belt from Gap does the trick. It's an unexpected pop of pattern that'll work well against a monochromatic all-black 'fit.

Ganni

Ganni Leopard Cotton Poplin Peplum Tie Blouse

There are so many iterations of this tie-together blouse out there, but Ganni truly did it first. They've certainly hopped on the leopard print trend with this piece that's all about flowy-ness. The puff sleeves, roomy round collar, and peplum silhouette make for an uber-comfy wear. I'd pair this top with black barrel jeans to shape the look even more, then finish everything off with some eye-catching sneakers.

Zara

Zara Animal Print Tulle Halter Dress

This halter dress has a sultry plunging neckline and an open back, so it's definitely the best fit for cocktail hour or a late-night party. The leopard print has some variation throughout the fabric, so it doesn't feel too repetitive or cheapy. I think some sleek heels and plenty of gold jewelry would work amazingly well with this piece.

1923 season 2 premieres on Paramount+ February 23, and Michelle Randolph (who plays Elizabeth Dutton in the cast) is "so excited" for you to watch the new episodes — and she's been keeping up with all your fan theories!

"There are some crazy ones. I feel like the biggest fan theory thing is the family tree," she tells Brit + Co exclusively. "I've seen many different family trees and so it's like, 'OK, which one's accurate?' I actually drew my own at one point."

Here's what Michelle Randolph had to say about 1923 season 2, and the Dutton family tree, in Brit + Co's exclusive 1923 interview.

Michelle Randolph teases '1923' season 2 finally gives us answers to the Dutton family tree.

By the end of season 2, Michelle Randolph says "we might be able to fill in some blanks" in the Dutton family tree, which is a very hot topic for internet users! "I had to make my own [family tree] because all of the ones I saw on the internet were like — every single one was different. I was like 'I'm confused.'"

The Dutton family is made up of incredible cast members like Brandon Sklenar, Harrison Ford, and Helen Mirren, and Michelle reveals that the cast are just as close as their characters.

"There's a giant group chat called Giddy Up, which started during cowboy camp of season one," she says. "A cute little name, and I think I mean we all were on location in Montana and all in the same hotel, and we would get dinners after [filming], so I think even though our characters are very different and in different story lines like we all really did bond, which was really helpful to have each other throughout the chaos of of shooting a show."

The actress also says Elizabeth would connect with her 'Landman' character Ainsley.

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

And if you're a tried and true Taylor Sheridan fan, you've probably picked up on the fact that Michelle isn't just in 1923 — she also has a starring role as Ainsley Norris in Landman! But would Elizabeth and Ainsley get along if they met in an alternate universe?

"That would be a fun thing to witness. I think they would," she says. "They're very different, but the similarities between them is they're both young women who are finding their place in this world and I think that they both actually look at the world through very bright eyes and have a lot of hope, which is an interesting correlation between the two of them. I think Elizabeth has gone through so much more than Ainsley obviously, so there might be a difference there, but I think they would get along."

Leaders in the matcha industry are predicting a matcha shortage this spring. Sparked by a huge surge in demand, it’s possible that your go-to drink could be affected.

Here’s everything you need to know about this season’s matcha shortage.

Nataliya Vaitkevich / PEXELS

Per The Japan Times, increased demand for matcha powder put an “unprecedented strain” on the tea industry last year, and the same effect is predicted to take place in 2025.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan saw a 185% increase in matcha production from 2010 to 2023 in order to keep up with demand from cafes and home baristas around the world, The Japan Timesreports.

Cup of Couple / PEXELS

Seeing that over half of Japan’s matcha is exported internationally, matcha lovers are looking toward the country for their green tea fix. Search interest for matcha has nearly quadrupled over the past 5 years, and it shows no sign of slowing down.

Olena Bohovyk / PEXELS

This year, mostly organic matcha strains will be affected by the shortage, though lower-grade varieties could face the same issues if consumers begin reaching for them in favor of organic offerings. While top-tier, organic strains like ceremonial-grade matcha are known for being sweeter and smoother, the lower-grade kinds like culinary-grade matcha are noticeably more bitter and don't have the same vibrant color.

Charlotte May / PEXELS

Matcha can only be harvested in the springtime, so though a shortage may be happening now, there’s hope for increased supply in the near future. This year’s harvest will start in April.

Polina Tankilevitch / PEXELS

Even though production will ramp up, Jason Eng of Kametani Tea in Japan, a company that produces matcha for beverage companies around the world, says: “This year will be an interesting one. We haven’t hit a point yet where we’re going to run out, but it’s going to be really tight this autumn – not just for us but for everybody. The demand is off the charts.”
