11 Fun Goodies That Won’t Be in Your Easter Basket Already

When I think of Easter chocolates, my mind immediately goes to Cadbury Crème Eggs. They’re filled with a gooey fondant that is downright addictive. Once you break through the chocolate shell, you’re faced with a deliciously silky sugar concoction that, for me, feels really nostalgic to snack on since I’d get one in my Easter basket just about every year.

Next up on my (very subjective) ranking of Easter chocolates is none other than Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs! I’ll take Reese’s stunning peanut butter filling in any form I can have it, but the egg shape this treat takes on for Easter just makes it feel even more special.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs totally master the perfect balance of chocolate and peanut butter, which can be a nice departure for my tastebuds from just straight-up chocolate, like the other Easter chocolates on this list. Thus, I’m placing it in the #2 spot.

I love me a colorful treat, and I love me some M&M’s – which is why the Easter M&M’s that come in the cutest pastels every April simply had to place somewhere this ranking.

Though I don’t view these as the most show-stopping Easter chocolates (they’re quite literally the same as the regular M&M’s you can get year-round in flavor and form), they’re still a festive treat worth snagging from the store. By themselves, I have to put them in the #3 spot – though I’d consider granting more points if you give ‘em to me on top of a slice of Easter cake.

I don't mean to be the Scrooge of Easter, but at this point, chocolate bunnies are so expected. I have eaten many in my lifetime, but they never truly blow me away. Don’t get me wrong: I still love chocolate, but there’s also something that feels so wrong when I bite off the bunny’s ears. And face. And body.

It’s true – Trader Joe’s Chocolate Mousse Eggs have officially arrived! Each egg-shaped treat boasts layers of “velvety” chocolate cake alongside a “silky” chocolate mousse that makes each bite so delicious. What’s more is each egg is adorably decorated with pink and green accents that make ‘em perfect for springtime snackin’.

This returning TJ’s dessert is just one of their tasty, mousse-y offerings. Trader Joe’s tends to release mousse cakes on a seasonal basis, and shoppers always love them. They’ve launched raspberry ones, pumpkin-shaped ones, floral ones, and even a big heart-shaped mousse cake for Valentine's Day!

One Trader Joe’s fan on Reddit verified that the new Chocolate Mousse Eggs are “so delicious.” Their warning to other sweet tooths? “Run, don’t walk, to get your hands on the Chocolate Mousse Eggs!”

“They're great!” another user agreed. “They remind me of Hostess in a very good way.”

Trader Joe’s fan account @traderjoesobsessedshared the new find with their Instagram followers, saying they’re “so delicious and the perfect size.” They also noted that the chocolatey eggs freeze well: “I put them into 2 zip lock bags and save them for Easter.“

What is 'The Husbands' about?

The Husbands chronicles one woman's journey as she explores an ever-changing life with different men she's never met before. But this isn't a tale of reckless one-night stands. On the contrary, Lauren will be as confused as readers and viewers because she's not sure what's happening.

It all begins with her return to her home and the realization that a man who's strangely familiar with her is calling himself her husband. Unbeknownst to her, she's been married to Michael for a while despite not knowing who he is. What's even more ironic is that her friends think something's wrong with her because they know who her husband is.

In the midst of trying to decipher this phenomenon, Lauren's shocked when Michael disappears into the attic and a new man returns in his place. As she watches her surroundings change to accommodate life with him, Lauren slowly realizes her attic has created a portal that allows her to live out different fantasies with a revolving door of men. But, she'll have to ask herself what she really wants and if she's willing to hang on to one reality instead of wishing for more.

Has more cast information been released?

We know Juno Temple will star in The Husbands, but there haven't been more cast announcements just yet (via Variety). There's so many options for the many spouses she could have which makes us want to dream about our own casting wishlist.

Who's the executive producers of the series?

According to Apple TV+, writer Miriam Battye (Succession) will be executive producing The Husbands with Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya), and Annie Marter of Fortunate Jack Productions (The Devil All The Time), author Holly Gramazio and A24.
