To commemorate the collaboration, Gap x Dôen are promoing a practical kids tote bag. This one's navy and cream colorway is sure to match with every one of your ensembles!

The Gap x Dôen collection launched Friday, May 17. It hosts 51 pieces for women and kids that marry Gap's classic denim and khaki fabrications with Dôen's feminine florals. The capsule's pricing ranges from $20 to $158.

The pieces are absolute wardrobe staples, but are also easily pair-able with other statement pieces you might already have in your closet!

The Gap x Dôen collection includes a white eyelet milkmaid dress, a gingham dress, a pinstripe button-down shirt, denim barn jacket, ultra-wide khaki pants, a dainty floral dress, baggy jeans, Mary Jane flats, a navy knit blouse, and so much more.

The sisters serving as the face of the new collaboration, Lily and Ruby Aldridge, were tapped by Dôen-founding Margaret and Katherine Kleveland for their shared love for Gap.

“Growing up, our mom was the quintessential Gap woman: Her classic style was formative in our own personal style and design ambitions from an early age,” Margaret told Vogue. “To be able to partner with an iconic brand that provides the same nostalgic feeling that we aim to create with our designs is truly surreal.”

“We’ve worn Gap since we were little,” Lily also told Vogue. “The quality and craftsmanship of this collaboration live up to the standard and it’s at Gap prices! We love Gap, and we love Gap prices!”

I unfortunately have experienced the sheer tragedy that is hiking a long, challenging trail without the proper hiking shoes. It was blisters and aches galore! Trust me, I’m never doing that again. I also wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, ever.

Having supportive hiking shoes is absolutely crucial for not only tackling the tricky terrain out there, but simply ensuring you have an enjoyable time on the trail. After all, there’s so much Mother Nature has to offer, and it’s a shame to miss out on it in favor of tending to pain induced by an ill-fitting pair of shoes.

If you’re anything like me, you like to pull up to the trailhead in your coolest hiking outfit(when you look good, you feel good). Finding the right pair of hiking shoes to match your unparalleled style can be hard, though. Well, no longer! There are plenty of stylish hiking shoes out there that not only feel like heaven on your feet, but ensure you look like the coolest gal at the trailhead and beyond. Scroll on for 6 of my favorite hiking shoes that don’t sacrifice style nor comfort!

REI

Merrell x Parks Project Moab 3 Hiking Shoes

I need these on my feet expeditiously. I love that they boast a whole rainbow of colors, all while the sandy brown color does an excellent job at hiding dirt and dust. These Merrell hiking shoes made in collaboration with Parks Project are mostly fitted with recycled materials, too. The upper is made from plant-based materials and recycled canvas, as is the breathable mesh lining. There's an air cushion in the heels that absorbs any shock and adds stability, plus the signature Vibram soles ensure durability. These get you that technical look and feel while still having curb appeal, even off the trail!

The Merrell x Parks Project Moab 3 Hiking Shoes are $155.

Salomon

Salomon XT-6 Sportstyle Shoes

These shoes are for the outdoorsy street style lover. They're certifiably gorp-core, but still very supportive on any trail adventure. This pair has EVA cushioning that solidifies each and every step, geometrical lugs that hug any terrain and add stability, plus a super practical Quicklace system for easy on and off. Originally produced for ultra-distance races under harsh conditions, you'll find athletic-focused details in the sporty side stripes and signature Salomon logo with primary colors across the top. It's a good idea to go with this darker colorway for trail hikes, since it expertly disguises debris.

The Salomon XT-6 Sportstyle Shoes are available for $200.

Hoka

Hoka Speedgoat 5 Low

Hoka shoes are renowned for their comfort and practicality, especially when it comes to walking, running, and trail hiking. The Speedgoats are undeniably one of their most popular silhouettes, and I love that they're super streamlined – not bulky. These hiking shoes feature grippy Vibram soles, a double layer of jacquard mesh that ups breathability, and extra padding around the heel collar for support. Their weight clocks in at 8.5 oz, which is nice if you're already lugging around a big backpack full of gear.

The Hoka Speedgoat 5 Lows currently go for $124 (was $155).

The North Face

The North Face Oxeye Tech Shoes

The bootie-style ankle height on these hiking shoes from The North Face stabilizes the ankles and gets supported further by some sturdy plastic webbing, which is wildly helpful on long hikes. The outer layers are also made from ripstop material that keeps the shoe together, even if you come across small snags or tears. You'll fall in love with the thick, bouncy soles and easy drawstring laces! These shoes are fairly grippy on the bottom, but not as much as the other shoes' Vibram fittings. More than anything, I think this earth tone color palette is perfect for outdoor excursions of any kind, so they're very versatile.

This pair of The North Face Oxeye Tech Shoes are $90 (was $129).

Nike

Nike Zegama 2

Nike has mastered the art of hiking shoes with this style. The Zegama 2's are Nike's most-tested trail shoes to date with over 35,000 miles logged globally! They're fitted with an ultra-responsive ZoomX foam midsole and stretchy ankle gaiter that hugs the heel to deliver ideal levels of comfort. Ultimately, they were designed to conquer steep ridges, jagged rocks and hilly races, so you can also make them work beyond the trailhead. Though there's only a single layer of mesh on the upper, it's impressively durable and ultra-breathable. I also adore the eye-catching lime green details and bold classic Nike swoosh along the sides.

This pair of Nike Zegama 2's goes for $180.

Saucony

Saucony Endorphin Rift

Look at that grip! These Saucony hiking shoes are designed with 4.5mm lugs that help you tackle especially loose terrain. Though tough on the outside, these kicks are soft on the inside, made with a lightweight, pillowy-soft cushion that adds a nice bounce to your steps. The bespoke Speedroll technology propels you forward, no matter what kind of movement you're doing. The heightened ankles and reinforced lace work ensure a snug – but not uncomfy – fit!

This pair of Saucony Endorphin Rifts goes for $170.

There's something about traveling to a smaller European destination that makes you feel like you're home. Every time I visit Europe, I like to immediately detour from large cities where the crowds are big and the costs are bigger, and make my way to more quiet and quaint towns for a peaceful, beautiful escape. It's a great way to immerse yourself in the culture, feel like a local, travel like Europeans — and sometimes even save some money, too!

I've done years worth of research, building up my bucket list of small towns and dream locations across Europe. While I've been lucky enough to check off quite a few already, the list truly goes on and on. Instead of gatekeeping these amazing towns, here are 10 smaller European destinations to visit in between trips to their larger city counterparts.

Versailles, France

Kayla Walden

When many people think of Versailles, they think of just the Versailles Palace — but there's so much more that this sweet town has to offer! I recommend opting to stay day or two rather than just coming down from Paris to see the Palace. The city itself is made up of so much rich history, beautiful attractions, and small businesses that you must see. Some recommendations: Check out the The Royal Opera for a beautiful experience, Le Village des Antiquaires for thrifting and shopping, and La Buvette for some of the best French food and delicious wines! Also would highly recommend staying at the Waldorf — neighboring the Palace — for an incredible luxury experience!

Tivoli, Italy

Kayla Walden

Only a short train ride from Rome, Tivoli is the most perfect destination, covered in the most gorgeous Roman ruins with waterfalls on every corner. The entire town was way more memorable than Rome, especially . Check out Ristorante de Sibilla for a full 360 view of this stunning city while eating under a 300+ year old temple for an evening. I had dinner here on Thanksgiving a couple years ago, and it was the best food — and Thanksgiving — I've ever had! Also while in town, you must check off Villa D'este, a stunning 16th century villa that takes up over 8 acres of gardens. You'll feel royal in this must-see little town near Rome!

Deià, Spain

La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel

On the island of La Palma, this small yet beautiful city is beloved by so many celebrities — and with good reason. It's known for its privacy, giving R&R to the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Beyoncé! Plus, it's absolutely gorgeous, with all its beautiful ocean views and architectural history. Grab a sangria, and relax by the ocean in this perfect, Spanish island town! And if you're looking for somewhere to stay, La Residencia is a great choice!

Senlis, France

Kayla Walden

A recent delay out of Charles de Gaulle airport left me stranded, and the only place available for a last-minute stay was in a beautiful, medieval city called Senlis — just 30 minutes outside of Paris. Although I was totally jet-lagged and incredibly tired from traveling, this city lifted my spirits given how kind and helpful everyone was. The shops are delightful, and the Sunday market is truly remarkable — the entire city turns into a farmers's market and shuts down every street so that you can peruse and shop. There's also a lovely cathedral in town (pictured above) that's almost 1000 years old that you definitely need to visit, too! I love this place, and would highly recommend it if you're looking for a more affordable and authentic city to stay in outside of Paris.

Shere, England

Barnett Hill Hotel

Remember that cute, adorable English small town that was featured in The Holiday where Cameron Diaz falls in love with small-town cutie Jude Law? Yep, this is that city. Every bit of the charm that you see in the movie translates to real life — it's just that gorgeous! Barnett Hill Hotel is a great place to stay to really capture all this European town's appeal. Live out your rom-com dreams with this sweet, small town!

Eze, France

Kayla Walden

My number one favorite small town award goes to... Eze! This South of France town wins because of its medieval, from-another-world charm! It's so stunning, that it actually made it into the movie, The Bucketlist. Plus, Walt Disney liked to vacation here, so you know it's good! It's a town on top of the hill that dates all the way back to 2000 BC with a panoramic view of the ocean. I stayed at Chateau de la Chevrê d'Or, which I would highly, highly recommend. Stay here for the best breakfast views of the ocean, shop around the town of Eze, and see the sights! A 100/10 city — totally my favorite!

Cernobbio, Italy

Kayla Walden

Lake Como is one of my favorite places in all of Europe, and my favorite small city on the lake has to be Cernobbio. I stayed at Villa d'Este (a different one than Tivoli), and it was the most gorgeous hotel with top notch service to make you feel like royalty. The city itself is different from the luxurious hotel, with a quaint, charming vibe that doesn't try too hard.

The people and the food are also spectacular! Try Trattoria del Vapore for the best truffle pasta, stop at Poletti for incredible pastries and iced coffee, and visit the town's wine shop for the best and most affordable local wines. Counting down the days until I can be back in this sweet town.

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

Hotel Silberhorn

J.R.R. Tolkien was inspired to make Rivendell from Lord of the Rings based on this beautiful town. Nestled away in the Swiss mountains, is this adorable town filled with nature's most beautiful sites. Waterfalls around every corner and vast mountains makes this town perfect for a sweet, relaxing escape away in nature. If you need somewhere to stay, Hotel Silberhorn is a lovely choice! This one is being added to the bucket list immediately!

Le Beausset, France

Kayla Walden

Le Beausset is another town tucked away in the South of France near Provence. I'm not sure why it's not more well known, but it's the most prime location in the middle of the beach and Provence wine country, so you have the best of both worlds. You can stop into town for their weekly markets, or simply enjoy the varying chateaus in the area. I opted to stay at Le Beausset-Vieux, a charming house with the most delightful chefs who will cook you a free Michelin-star-worthy breakfast. Highly recommend this European destination for it's quaint and charming energy!

Ghent, Belgium

Hotel Pillows Grand

Ending our small-town list with this incredible city in Belgium that offers amazing night life, markets, and architecture that is simply to die for! The town may be small, but the buildings and architecture are anything but! There are cathedrals and museums that are hundreds of years old, and they're a must-visit while you're in town. Plus, they have a nightlife centered around 1000s of beers to choose from. Sounds like a good time to me! Stay at the Hotel Pillows Grand while you're enjoying this European destination.

Like I’ve said before, I’m annoyingly particular about how my clothes fit me. And with so many types of biker shorts on the market, I haven’t been able to track down the absolute perfect style for my preferences and body type – until now.

Meredith Holser

This hasn't been an easy feat whatsoever, mostly because I have a fairly strict criteria for how biker shorts should look and feel when I wear them.

When shopping for biker shorts, I prioritize designs that feel super soft to the touch, are form-fitting (but not restrictive), have a 5-inch inseam (or less – I like to show ‘em some leg), and most importantly, eliminate the camel toe effect (invasive crotch seams give me the ick, IYKYK).

In my journey to find the perfect pair of black biker shorts, I knew I wanted something I can wear for workouts like climbing and hiking, but also casually for things like grocery trips and lowkey friend hangouts.

Amazon

Yeoreo Seamless High Waisted Workout Shorts

I started my search by scrolling on none other than Amazon, because the countless user reviews usually help me get a feel for what the product is really like. These Yeoreo biker shorts were at the top of my list since they boast 4.4 out of 5 stars with 1,734 total reviews. After reading they were comfy and flattering, I decided to give them a try. I ordered a size large.

As much as I wanted to like them (after spending $20 on them), the shorts were way too tight and the fabric they were made out of ended up being really thick and restrictive, especially around the tummy and thighs. Now, don’t get me wrong – as a girl on the thicker side, I love a little bit of tummy control, but these shorts dug into me quite deep, and I simply couldn’t see myself being comfortable in them for any occasion. For a size large, they didn’t really fit like it.

Meredith Holser

So, I defeatedly returned them and decided to look elsewhere. Of course, I’m a Target girl at heart, so I made a beeline to my nearest store the following day. That’s when I stumbled upon the All in Motion Everyday Soft Ultra High-Rise Bike Shorts in the athleisure section, and I’m so glad I gave them a chance! I picked up a size large and found much more success than I did on Amazon.

Meredith Holser

These biker shorts are extremely soft. The stretchy material reminds me exactly of Lululemon’s signature Align fabrication, which is known to be “buttery-soft.” I feel like I get the same tactile feel from these Target biker shorts, which is satisfying given the cost comparison between the two. For example, a similar style at Lululemon (the Lululemon Align High-Rise Shorts) clocks in at $64, while the Target shorts are just $20.

Meredith Holser

I adore that these biker shorts are wonderfully flattering without ever being uncomfortable. I shouldn't have to sacrifice either of those things! I like that the stretchiness lends them to be adjustable, too. For example, I like to hike the bottom hems up a bit on my legs to show, well, more of my legs. When I do this with these Target shorts, they never dig into my thighs or make them look like they’re uncomfortably squeezing out from the fabric. Further, I’m able to customize the fit around my backside (we all love a lil’ booty lift!), which is a nice perk when I want to pair them with just a sports bra or crop top for working out.

Meredith Holser

When I picked up these shorts, I was initially worried about one single red flag about them – the crotch seam! I typically never opt for biker shorts with this dreaded middle seam, but something in me was willing to overlook it. And I'm glad I did! Since purchasing them (and chronically wearing them) I haven’t run into any sort of complications ‘down there’ with the crotch seam. While other shorts would dig into my body and create an unflattering, uncomfortable look, this one hasn’t at all.

Target

All in Motion Everyday Soft Ultra High-Rise Bike Shorts

The best part about these biker shorts is being able to share them with everyone. They’re sold in sizes XS-4X, so I’m led to believe there’s a pair out there for a wide range of body types. Since they’re supremely stretchy, they’re definitely adaptable to different waist, hip, and thigh sizes. Aside from the classic black color, they’re available in hues like ocean blue, coral pink, and a serene green.

The fair price is another great perk worth mentioning. For just $20, I feel like I definitely reap their value. I’ve worn them everywhere from outside walks to the climbing gym and even weekend brunches with my pals. Plus, I haven’t seen any major signs of wear just yet. I’ve sent these shorts through the wash at least three times now (I wear them so much), and the fabric has only gotten better with time.

I may not be the most sports savvy person out there, but I honestly can't wait to cheer on Team USA's athletes during the 2024 Summer Olympics! The Simon Biles and Kelly Chengs of this world trained long and hard for the things they've accomplished, proving that time, dedication, and muscle memory can be some of the best resources an athlete can utilize — "twisties" be damned! From gymnastics to fencing, these athletes have gone above and beyond in their careers, showing off their skills in a seemingly effortless way. Here are the 8 amazing Team USA stars I'm so excited to watch!

Simon Biles, Gymnastics

Image via Elsa/Getty Images

Simone Biles is one of the most talented gymnasts our generation has seen. According to her own website, she's received 25 medals from the World Championship, and has four gold medals from Olympic competitions.

If that weren't enough, Simone won the Laureus World Sports Award three times for Sportswoman of the Year, alongside being on several other highly influential lists including the Forbes 30 Under 30 and USA Today 100 Women of the Century lists.

Just ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics, she's gone on to score her ninth all-around title at U.S. gymnastics championship. Yahoo Sports reported she's the first person win all of the titles so we couldn't wait to see if she'd qualify to compete at the Olympic Games Paris 2024!

We didn't have to wait long thought because she qualified to compete on U.S. Olympic gymnastics team during the trials yesterday (via USA Today). This will be her third team competing during the summer Olympics so we're thrilled that she's able to continue breaking barriers!

Kelly Cheng, Volleyball

Image via Harry How/Getty Images

Volleyball player Kelly Cheng is another one to watch during the 2024 Summer Olympics. The Association of Volleyball Professionals shares that she honed her skills at USC for three years and won four notable National Championships, three All-American awards, and two Player of the Year awards.

Once she began her professional career, Kelly and Sara Hughes formed a notable team that's still highly celebrated today. We look forward to seeing both of them bring their amazing dynamics to the olympics!

Coco Gauff, Tennis

Image via Clive Mason/Getty Images

When you're inspired by Serena Williams, anything is possible — especially if you're Coco Gauff. She's so amazing at what she does that, according to Time, she became the first teen to ever win the U.S. Open. Winning a Grand Slam is definitely no easy feat, but she worked — and continues to work — hard to accomplish her massive success.

Though it's too early to tell, we're predicting that she's going to secure several wins during the 2024 Summer Olympics. We'll be watching and rooting for her!

Stephen Curry, Men's Basketball

Image via Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images

All eyes have been on "Chef" Steph Curry since the beginning of his prestigious basketball career, and somehow he doesn't seem to be slowing down. He's one of the top MVP players who has the skills to back up the title, but he still makes time for his family. Talk about a dream man!

Specifically, the NBA reports Steph was one of the Golden State Warrior's early entry candidates in 2009 and has since become a nine-time All-Star player. What else can we say except we're sure he's going to break another record very soon! Wishing him — and the entire Team USA basketball team — the best!

Lee Kiefer, Fencing

Image via Ezra Shaw/Getty Images

What can be said about Lee Kiefer that hasn't already been addressed? According to Team USA, she's fenced since she was five years old and became the youngest person to join the U.S. Senior World Foil Team in 2009. She also became the first woman from the U.S. to earn the top foil ranking spot in 2017.

Between 2012 and 2020, Lee scored big during several Olympics, even landing a gold medal as a result. It's safe to say we're confident she's also going to achieve great things during the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Nelly Korda, Golf

Image via Sarah Stier/Getty Images

Nelly Korda is also someone who's been playing golf since her younger years and has achieved many groundbreaking accolades. This year, she had a successful tour during the Drive On LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association), the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, and the Ford Championship.

Prior to this, she completed the Pelican Women's Championship in 2022 and the Gainbridg LPGA, Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, KPMG Women's PGA Championshi, and the Pelican Women's Championship in 2021.

It's cliché, but Nelly gets down when she's on the field!

Ilona Maher, Rugby

Image via Mike Coppola/Getty Images

Ilona Maher may not have known she wanted to become a rugby player until attending Quinnipiac University, but it seems she was made for the sport. Her USA Rugby profile mentions how she successfully guided her team so well they earned three titles with the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association.

She made her debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and I'm sure we'll see her on the field alongside her team plenty during the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Sha'Carri Richardson, Track & Field

Harry How/Getty Images

Sha'Carri Richardson zoomed into the spotlight and became this generation's very own Florence Griffith Joyner aka Flo-Jo. Known for her jaw-dropping speed, Sha'Carri also makes her mark by being creatively expressive from her hair to her nails.

Last year she broke the 100m record by sprinting from start to finish in 10.65 seconds at the World Athletics Championships (via Sports Illustrated) and went on to finish the 200m sprint in 21.92 seconds (via Team USA).

Due to her recent win, she's qualified to compete at the Olympic Games Paris 2024! At the U.S. trials, she sprinted to the 100m finish line in 10.71 seconds (via AP News) and was met with thunderous applause.

We can't wait to see what she accomplishes!
