"The Golden Bachelor" Sweethearts Gerry And Theresa Have Decided To Get A Divorce

We can't believe that the first season of The Golden Bachelor and the subsequent wedding are over! Where did the time go?! We thought Golden Bachelor, Gerry Turner, and winner of the show, Theresa Nist, would've drifted off into happily ever after, but we guess life had other plans for them since they're now getting divorced. It's certainly heartbreaking given how much they enjoyed spending time together, but only they know what's best for them!

Here's everything we know about their divorce following their publicized The Golden Bachelor wedding!

Theresa Nist Speaks Out About The End Of "The Golden Bachelor" Marriage

Theresa Nist took to Instagram to share her thoughts about the end of her marriage to Gerry Turner. She's aware that everyone has opinions about what happened, but she's asking for people to be considerate as they navigate a new process. She partially wrote, "For everyone else who is confused and angry and who does not understand, please try to find it in your heart to understand and to try a little kindness...Sometimes things don’t go the way you planned and that’s okay."

It seems like she's doing her best to remain positive in light of everything that's happened. We can only imagine how scary it is to open yourself up to love in the public eye and become the topic of everyone's conversation.

"The Golden Bachelor" Couple Are Ending Their Marriage

Just when we thought things were working well for "The Golden Bachelor" couple, they decided to announce the end of their short-lived marriage on Good Morning America. Gerry Turner told host Juju Chang, "Theresa and I have had a number of heart-to-heart conversations, and we’ve looked closely at our situation, our living situation, so forth and -- and we’ve kind of come to the conclusion mutually that it’s probably time for us to -- dissolve our marriage."

Theresa Nist clarified that she doesn't want the people who rooted for them to believe love and marriage are hopeless. "We want none of that to change for anybody," she said.

We're sure that they truly had a connection, but it's not easy trying to navigate merging your life with someone no matter how old you are. It seems that Gerry and Theresa couldn't bear the thought of one of them being separated from their families, ultimately resulting in the tough decision that getting married may not have been the best thing to do.

We hope that they take as much time as they need to continue navigating their decision to end their public marriage.

"The Golden Bachelor" Blended Family Went On "Celebrity Family Feud"

Disney / John Fleenor

Gerry and Theresa's newly-blended family revealed that they filmed an episode of Celebrity Family Feud in early April – and their opposing team wasn't that unfamiliar!

Theresa's daughter Jen posted some behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, noting that the family went up against more Bachelor Nation members like Joey Graziadei, Kelsey Anderson, Charity Lawson, Dotun Olubeko, Zach Shallcross, and Kaity Biggar for their episode of Celebrity Family Feud.

Jen also gave us loose details about when the episode would officially air, writing in the caption of her Instagram post: "you’ll have to watch to see how it went down but no I’m not really sure when it’s going to be on… August?!"

Gerry posted a little preview too, saying that he "had a GREAT time at Celebrity Family Feud with the blended family."

Gerry's daughter Angie seemed super excited about being on Celebrity Family Feud as well, writing in her Instagram post that her dreams were fulfilled being on the show.

"Since I was little I wanted to be on family feud," she wrote. "I would dream about it and assemble my team in my mind. Yesterday…it happened!!!! We played celebrity family feud!!! It was so much fun."

A Recap Of "The Golden Bachelor" Wedding

Disney / John & Joseph Photography

Gerry and Theresa got married during a live taping of The Golden Wedding, and there were hardly any dry eyes during their sweet ceremony. To help them celebrate their new nuptials, former The Golden Bachelor contestant Susan Noles was their officiant. It felt like a full circle moment for Bachelor Nation, because more familiar faces could be seen in the audience, like Trista and Ryan Sutter.

Peoplereports that Gerry and Theresa's respective daughters gave heartfelt speeches that touched everyone. Gerry's daughters Angie and Jenny shared how proud they are of their dad before turning their attention to Theresa. Jenny said, "he found a fantastic woman that is beautiful inside and out to spend the rest of his life with."

Theresa's daughter Jen echoed their sentiments. She said, "we're beyond thrilled that you’ve brought us together as family."

Towards the end of the ceremony, Gerry could be heard telling guests, "I have a whole new outlook on life because of this journey and because of this woman." So cute!

A final look at the newlyweds!

Everything Gerry And Theresa Said About "The Golden Bachelor" Wedding

Disney / John Fleenor

After a long season, Gerry finally found his sweetheart. Theresa Nist, a financier from New Jersey, won the show with the ultimate gesture of love: a darling proposal from Gerry at the season finale! Despite the joyous ending, picking a final woman wasn't an easy decision for Gerry:

“I met some of the women and recognized they were beautiful and gracious and intelligent, but they weren't the right woman for me,” Gerry told People. “I had to find the right person.”

The lovely couple couldn't stop gushing about how thrilled they were as their big day approached. Their respective families are also over the moon, with Theresa's daughter and Gerry's granddaughters jumping on the opportunity to help celebrate.

“My daughter, she's seen a million weddings and she is incredible," Theresa said of her daughter, Jen. "She's put together the vision board. She's asking me, ‘Do you like this? Do you like this?’ And I go, ‘Wow, okay, I don't even have to do this. This is awesome.’ She's handling it pretty much.”

Gerry's daughters and granddaughters also attended the wedding.

“They're all involved,” he said. “There's a spot for every family member in the wedding party. We wouldn't have it any other way. It’s going to be spectacular.”

"The Golden Bachelor" Fantasy Suites Recap

Disney / John Fleenor

The Golden Bachelor fantasy suites episode followed Gerry and the last two contestants, Leslie and Theresa all the way to Costa Rica, where they were given the opportunity to get... closer.

Sure, the fantasy suites provides massive potential for physical connection (or "knocking boots," as Gerry put it), but the Golden Bach was focused on emotions more than anything this time around:

“[To] ask the difficult questions that are strictly between two people, and also have the opportunity to be physically intimate with each other,” he said on the show. “At this age, it’s more gentle, it’s slow, it’s something you can savor, because it’s something that’s the most special [thing] you can have.”

Before he could elicit official invites for the fantasty suites, Gerry took both women on some *quite* adventurous individual dates. He rappelled down a waterfall with Leslie, and rode horses through the wilderness with Theresa. At the end of each date, he asked each woman to join him in the fantasty suite.

Whether boots were knocked or not, it was hard to narrow down who Gerry was really into after the fantasy suites episode. He told both Leslie and Theresa "I love you," but Gerry ultimately made a decision about who won his heart over.

“I headed towards the end, I was really in conflict about several of the women,” Gerry told People. “As very specific events occurred, it really helped me gain clarity on what I wanted to do.”

The Ladies Move Into the Mansion - The Golden Bachelor

Every season, there’s always a handful of contestants who make unforgettable first impressions, and this time was no different.

Some of the most noteworthy ladies from the show included Sandra, a 75-year-old retired executive assistant from Doraville, Georgia. The most seasoned of the bunch kicked her first interaction with Gerry off with a sensual meditation session where she proclaimed her love for the “F” and “S” words. Same girl, same.

Theresa, a 70-year-old financial services professional from Shrewsbury, New Jersey, bared it all on her first meeting with Gerry. It was her cake day after all, and she figured there was no better time to show off her birthday suit than the show's first episode. LOL.

Faith, a 60-year-old high school teacher from Benton City, Washington, exuded cool-girl energy with a head-turning stunt. Riding in on a motorcycle with hair whipping, and even shocking audiences with a guitar solo, there’s no surprise that she walked away with a little kiss (and the first impression rose).

One of our favorite step-outs of the first night was Leslie, 64, who left the limo in a gray wig, a muumuu nightgown, and a walker to boot. But – after pulling off the guise to reveal a show-stopping sparklingly dress, the retired dancer proved that she’s anything but geriatric. And also, apparently Prince ( yes, *the* Prince) wrong a song about her?! Talk about an “it" girl.

Thanks to the eternal popularity of Gilmore Girls, we all know mother-daughter shows are some of the best around. And if you ask me, Ginny and Georgia are totally the next Rory and Lorelai. If you're looking for a new series to binge while getting cozy this winter, then look no further than Ginny & Georgia. It's got intrigue, it's got romance, it's got drama — which is exactly why it's one of the Netflix shows you should binge on a break!

Keep reading for everything you need to know about Ginny & Georgia season 3.

When does season 3 of Ginny & Georgia come out?

Brooke Palmer/Netflix

You can stream Ginny & Georgia on Netflix starting June 5, 2025.

What is Ginny & Georgia season 3 about?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia follows the titular mother-daughter duo (plus Ginny's little brother Austin) who move from Texas to Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the death of Georgia's husband. But while a new town, a new school, and new friends can be complicated on their own, things get even messier in season 2 when Ginny discovers her step-dad's death wasn't an accident.

And at the end of season 2, Georgia's arrested for murder in the middle of her wedding reception. This was "always the plan," according to creator Sarah Lampert. "How we pitched season 1 and then how we ended our pitch of season 2 was, 'Then Georgia's married to Paul, they're having their first dance, and she's arrested for murder,'" she told People in January 2023.

"I'm blown away that the writers are still able to show us completely new sides of each character, and that's what you're going to see in season 3," actress Brianne Howey says. "You will see a lot of grit and hustle, but in an entirely new way. Georgia has to dig deeper into a part of herself we haven't seen yet. So, she has to use that grit in all new ways."

Who's in the cast?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia stars Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, and Raymond Ablack as Joe.

How old was Georgia when she had Ginny?

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Georgia was 15 years old when she gave birth to Ginny. This is another detail that reminds us of Gilmore Girls since Lorelai was 16 when she had Rory!

Where can I watch Ginny & Georgia?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia season 3 is premiering June 5, 2025 on Netflix, which is where you can stream all 20 episodes of the show (10 in season one and 10 in season two). It's safe to assume that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will also have 10 episodes.

MAJOR The Last of Us season 2 spoilers ahead!

If you thought The Last of Us season 2 couldn't get more dramatic than its premiere, then you'd be wrong. Season 2 primes us for some emotional drama by showing just how much Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Joel (Pedro Pascal) are at odds, and throwing Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), who's seeking revenge on Joel for her own father's murder, into the mix shatters everything.

The Last of Us season 2, episode 2, "Through The Valley" is already being heralded by social media users as one of the best episodes in TV history. But it's definitely memorable for one specific reason: the episode killed off Joel, played by Pedro Pascal.

Let's talk about what the heck just happened with Joel Miller (Pedro Pascal) in The Last of Us season 2.

Does Joel die in episode 2?

Liane Hentscher/HBO

Joel Miller (played by Pedro Pascal in the hit HBO show) dies in The Last of Us season 2, episode 2. "People are going to be upset. That's sometimes how good drama goes," executive producer Craig Mazin tellsUSA Today. "This was something that was always meant to happen. So much of the first season was, in a weird way, leading to this moment. And it's upsetting."

The horrifying moment comes after a blizzard — and some infected — put Abby, Joel, and Dina (Isabela Merced) on a collision course. After they rescue her from the aforementioned infected, Abby brings the two Jackson residents back to the lodge in the mountains where her group is hiding. Meanwhile Jackson, dealing with its own infected attack, burns in the distance.

Joel's anxious to return to town, but he's got bigger problems: Abby recognizes him as the man who killed her father (and wiped out the Firefly hospital) and, after putting Dina to sleep, Abby takes out five years' worth of anger and devastation on him with a golf club. Yeah. I can't believe it either.

But even more horrifying is when Ellie finds the lodge and bursts into the room. When she begs Joel to get up, there's a moment when you can see a beaten Joel start to lift himself up from the ground before Abby uses the now-broken golf club to kill him. I hope Ellie holds onto this moment and knows Joel was willing and able to do whatever it took to keep her safe!! I will scream about them forever!!

As Abby's group leaves, Ellie swears she'll kill them, and "you can't help but believe it is absolutely true," Craig says. There's a truly devastating shot of Ellie lying over Joel's body in the empty room that parallels her nursing him back to health at the end of season 1, episode 7 and I don't know if I'll ever get over it.

Why was Joel killed off?

In addition to being literal retribution for the death of Abby's father, Joel's death is a catalyst for Ellie's journey throughout the rest of the season as she grapples with revenge, grief, and anger. "Loss is kind of how this story functions, so this was largely preordained," Craig continues.

And yes, Pedro was aware of this devastating scene when he signed up for the life-changing role. "When I talked to Pedro the first time, I said, 'This is how this will go,'" Craig says. "I wanted him to know that we're not going to do this for seven seasons with you in that spot. We're going to do a season, and if it goes well and there's a second season, this will happen."

What happens to Ellie after Joel dies?

Liane Hentscher/HBO

The trailer for the rest of The Last of Us season 2 shows that Ellie and Dina aren't giving up until they enact their own revenge on Abby and her group. The two women are headed for Seattle and they're up against infected, the militia, and everything else this post-apocalyptic world has to throw at them.

But even though Joel's gone for good, Pedro isn't. We're in for plenty of flashbacks that fill in those five years between seasons 1 and 2!

Tune into new episodes of The Last of Us season 2 on HBO and Max Sundays at 9 PM ET to see what happens next.

The story's not over yet! Here's the last news on The Last Of Us Season 3.

It has been over three and a half years since Daniel Craig's final James Bond movie, No Time to Die, premiered in October 2021. Amazon has since acquired the Bond franchise, and now that a new film is finally in the works, fans around the globe are wondering who will continue the legacy of 007.

Following Daniel's majorly successful five-year streak as the spy, he's passing the torch and leaving behind some pretty big shoes to fill. Still, the next Bond has yet to be cast, prompting plenty of speculation online. And the casting rumors — full of very, very attractive men — definitely do not disappoint. Here's who everyone thinks could be the next Bond!

Scroll to see the rumored top contenders to play James Bond next...

Jon Kopaloff/Getty Images

1. Theo James

First up on the watch list is Theo James, most well-known for starring in The Gentlemen andThe White Lotusseason 2. The 40-year-old from Oxford, England, would be the right age for the role, but Theo himself actually pushed back against the idea in 2024.

"Everyone's interested in that because it's a big part of British cultural identity, but that probably wouldn't be me. I do think there are better people for that job," he explained to The Guardianat the time.

"And honestly, it would be terrifying: if you do that, there's no going back. You are opening Pandora's box there. You have got to be willing to live a very different life and have a different life for your family. And that would be pretty tricky."

So, while many still want the iconic role to go to Theo James, fans have begun setting their sights on other potential Bond actors, like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, John O'Connor, Regé-Jean Page, and Henry Cavill.

Andreas Rentz/Getty Images

2. Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Starting with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, he is 34 years old, and his slightly younger age could be beneficial to the franchise, allowing them to hold onto the same 007 for a bit longer. But, ever since The Sun reported that Aaron could snag the role "should he wish to accept it" in 2022, the actor has been avoiding questions about the franchise.

Jeff Spicer/Getty Images

3. Josh O'Connor

Meanwhile, Josh O'Connor previously joked to Deadline, saying, "Wouldn't it be funny if I played Bond?" and the idea really riled up fans. Just like Aaron, Josh is 34, but it appears his quip might've been just that. In fact, in 2025, he claimed to "have no thoughts" on the role, saying he and Daniel Craig "did an Actors on Actors, and then something else happened, and then suddenly I was James Bond. If I am Bond, I don't know about it."

Amy Sussman/Getty Images

4. Regé-Jean Page

Following Regé-Jean Page's portrayal of the Duke of Hastings in the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, he also got thrust into the 007 conversation. But even though he expressed flattery over the speculation in 2023, he hasn't indicated any part in the next Bond film and, at the time, stated to Vanity Fairthat he had "enough on his plate."

Michael Loccisano/Getty Images

5. Henry Cavill

Finally, one more so-called frontrunner for the spy franchise is Henry Cavill. During a 2024 appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, he didn't seem that opposed to becoming the next Bond, either. Nonetheless, when asked whether he thought he'd get cast, the 41-year-old admitted his age may be an issue.

"I have no idea; all I've got to go on are the rumors. The same information you have. Maybe I'm too old now, maybe I'm not, we'll see," he replied.

Arturo Holmes/Getty Images

Other Potential James Bond Actors

Some other actors that fans believe are potentially Bond-worthy include Joe Alwyn, Paul Mescal, Richard Madden, and Idris Elba. Still, it seems that we will just have to wait and see until the next film, expected to be released in theaters by the end of 2027, gets further into production and promotion.

There's nothing like a good rom-com, and unfortunately there's also nothing like a bad rom-com. With dull scripts and (at times) even duller characters, the romance movie market has been flailing for me in recent years. I'm really hoping movies like Anyone But You, Set It Up, and Materialists revive the era of the rom-com (recession core!!!) but I still stand by the fact the 1990s and early 2000s is the best rom-com era of all time. Here are 8 movies to prove it.

Keep reading for the 8 best '90s rom-coms that put the rest to shame.

1. Notting Hill (1999)

Universal Pictures

Notting Hill follows famous American actress Anna (Julia Roberts) who stumbles into Will's (Hugh Grant) Notting Hill bookstore...and his life. But Anna's fame (and the paparazzi) make everything more complicated.

Notting Hill stars Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts, Rhys Ifans, and James Dreyfus.

2. While You Were Sleeping (1995)

Hollywood Pictures

This '90s rom-com follows Sandra Bullock's character Lucy, who works as a Chicago Transit Authority ticket booth operator. And her life gets more exciting than she could have predicted when she rescues her longtime crush from an oncoming train...and his family believes they're engaged.

While You Were Sleeping stars Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman, Peter Gallagher, Peter Boyle, Glynis Johns, and Jack Warden.

3. You've Got Mail (1998)

Warner Bros. Pictures

When Harry Met Sally might be Meg Ryan's most iconic movie, but You've Got Mail is arguably the most romantic. The movie follows two rival bookstore owners (Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks) who don't realize they've been falling for each other over email.

You've Got Mail stars Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks.

4. Sleepless In Seattle (1993)

TriStar Pictures

Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan also starred together in Sleepless In Seattle, in which widower Sam's (Tom Hanks) son calls into a radio show to find Sam a partner — and Annie (Meg Ryan) decides to find him IRL.

Sleepless in Seattle stars Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks, and Bill Pullman.

5. Much Ado About Nothing (1993)

Renaissance Films

Yes, this '90s rom-com is actually a Shakespearean tale. Much Ado About Nothing follows Hero and Claudio who decide to set the very-single and very argumentative Benedick and Beatrice up with each other. Fun fact, this loosely inspired Anyone But You!

Much Ado About Nothing stars Emma Thompson, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Keaton, Robert Sean Leonard, Keanu Reeves, Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, and Kate Beckinsale.

6. Shakespeare In Love (1998)

Universal Pictures/Miramax

And I can't talk about Shakespeare adaptations without mentioning Shakespeare In Love! The movie follows the one and only William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes), who totally runs out of money and inspiration...until he meets Viola De Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow).

Shakespeare In Love stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Joseph Fiennes, Geoffrey Rush, Colin Firth, Ben Affleck, Judi Dench, Simon Callow, Jim Carter, Martin Clunes, Antony Sher, and Imelda Staunton.

7. Pretty Woman (1990)

Touchstone Pictures

Pretty Woman is the perfect mix of '80s and '90s, and the fact that Julia Roberts stars as the titular pretty woman makes this movie a must-watch. Vivian Ward (Julia Roberts) is a Hollywood escort who's hired by wealthy Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) to accompany him over the course of a week. And, of course, their business deal quickly turns into something more.

Pretty Woman stars Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Jason Alexander, and Héctor Elizondo.

8. Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)

Rank Film Distributors

This '90s rom-com follows bachelor Charles (Hugh Grant), who — over the course of four weddings and a single funeral — realizes he's fallen in love with Carrie (Andie MacDowell).

Four Weddings and a Funeral stars Hugh Grant, Andie MacDowell, Kristin Scott Thomas, Simon Callow, James Fleet, John Hannah, Charlotte Coleman, David Bower, Corin Redgrave, and Rowan Atkinson.
