While greeting fans at the movie premiere, Anna was asked what it meant to be working with Blake again, to which Anna doesn't even stop. She just responds, "Oh, you know."

"'Oh you know' are the exact words I say when someone asks me how I am and I am barely hanging on," one TikTok user jokes in the comments, while another speculates, "I think she hates the hate Blake is getting and how the media is out to get click bait from her about it."

The actress was also asked about "everything going on" (undoubtedly alluding to the It Ends With Us drama), to which Anna responded, "Why, what happened? I did ayahuasca and the last year of my life is just gone."

Anna is known for her sense of humor, and TikTok users commented saying this "was a phenomenal answer" and that she's "effortlessly funny."

Anna opened up about reuniting with Blake for the sequel, telling People in October 2024 that getting cast members from the first A Simple Favor back together again was "a little bit like riding a bike."

"She lives on the East Coast, I live on the West Coast, so we don't get to see each other often," she says. "But it was lovely, and I think that those characters have such weird chemistry that it's so fun to just get the gang back together."

And when someone tweeted that Blake Lively was "terrified to walk the carpet" and Anna Kendrick was "pissed and never wants to work with her again," director Paul Feig retweeted with a simple, "Um … you’re wrong." And I'll take his word for it.

5. ​The Mindy Project

Mindy Kaling can do no wrong, and this show is a testament to that statement. Mindy stars as an OBGYN, successful in the workplace, not-so-successful outside of it. We can all relate, girl – work-life balance is hard. Stream this comfort show on Hulu.

Everyone’s favorite mother-daughter duo, Rory and Lorelai Gilmore stroll through the streets of an idyllic, picturesque Connecticut town. This show is 30% story, 70% taking in the setting. Yes, it’s cheesy. Yes, it’s overdramatic. No, it’s not relatable whatsoever. 8. Sex and the City

How thoughtful of Darren Star to create a show for us girls who needed a grown-up Gossip Girl. All jokes aside, Sex and the City is more so a must-watch rather than a guilty indulgence. Set against the stunning backdrop of Manhattan, the show follows four women as they navigate the highs and lows of their relationships and friendships, making it the perfect, relaxing go-to. 9. Glee

My boyfriend introduced me to Glee (true story) and ever since then, it’s been a cozy staple in our house. A Spanish teacher revitalizes his high school’s Glee club, and the rest is history. It’s a nostalgic watch for all, even more so if you were a theater kid. Honestly, this show constantly bums me out given I wasn’t a theater kid – Shoutout to all the Gleeks out there. 10. Friends

You can’t have a comfort show list and not include Friends. I actually think leaving it out would be a crime. These iconic, young friends welcome us into their lives as we walk side-by-side with them navigating careers, relationships, and life in the Big Apple. You can stream Friends on Max.

I want to extend my personal gratitude to Quinta Brunson for making mockumentaries a thing again — thank you, Quinta. If you’re looking for a chill night to escape the chaos that is life, opt for throwing on Abbott Elementary to enjoy the comical situations the teachers and students get into, all while shedding light on the realities of our public school systems (don’t worry, it’s as light-hearted as a show can be, I swear!). Again, Mindy Kaling can do no wrong. Kaling created this young-adult dramedy that’s equal parts comfort watch and tear jerker (happy tears, for the most part). Inspired by Kaling’s own childhood, Never Have I Ever follows a first-generation Indian-American teenage girl as she traverses the halls of high school. This show hits all the feels, and also brings back those memories you wish you forgot about your teenage self — sometimes we all need a little reminder, I’d like to think it keeps us humble. 17. ​Sex Lives of College Girls

It hasn’t escaped me that there are four Mindy Kaling shows on this list, maybe she is the Queen of creating comfort shows? I want that superpower. This comedy immediately transports viewers back into their good ol’ college days, with a modern touch. We’re met with four freshmen at Essex College, and well, you know how it goes, they slowly find their identities as they grow together at college. Stream Sex Lives of College Girls on Max.

18. ​That ‘70s Show

I didn’t grow up in the ’70s, but That ’70s Show sure makes me wish I did. These teenagers trade in smartphones for good times together, and quite honestly, shows the things you can get into when not being glued to a phone. I can’t lie though, I would miss TikTok too much. 19. ​Superstore

Another workplace comedy, Superstore is reminiscent of the days we’ve all probably had working retail jobs — and the eccentric people and coworkers we’ve met. This comfort show is streaming on Hulu now.

20. ​Somebody Somewhere

Watching Somebody Somewhere is equivalent to receiving a hug from Bridget Everett. Set in Kansas, where Everett grew up, her character, Sam, struggles to fit her hometown’s mold. In the midst of dealing with her sister’s passing, her saving grace is singing, which eventually leads her on a journey to find the people who understand her most and ultimately help her find herself again. It’s all around comforting, heartwarming, and introspective — in all the best ways possible. Stream it on Max now.

21. ​Friday Night Lights

You know the show is good when it almost makes you want to live in a small, tight knit Southern town. I have Friday Night Lights to thank for that very niche feeling. 30 Rock never ceases to amaze me. It’s a sitcom that takes a behind-the-scenes look at a fictional live sketch comedy show, and you guessed it: the behind-the-scenes is far more comical than the fictional show. Stream this comfort TV show on Hulu now.

1. Soap Carving

Soap carving was once an accessible hobby that allowed people of all ages and skill levels to create intricate designs from simple bars of soap. Armed with basic carving tools like knives, you were able to transform an everyday object into a work of art, like a delicate flower or animal.

This pastime not only offered a creative outlet but also culminated in a functional home decor item. Yet, as new crafting materials like plastics became more widely available, soap carving faded from popularity.

2. Quilting Bees

These social gatherings brought women together and provided a chance for friends and neighbors to collaborate on large quilting projects. They turned an often solitary task into a communal experience filled with laughter and conversation.

So, the resulting quilts were viewed as deeply sentimental, not just due to the joint effort but also because they often incorporated fabrics from old clothing or keepsakes.

Then, the rise of industrialization and the availability of cheap, mass-produced bedding caused quilting bees to become much more rare.

6. Going Dancing

Walk into any major club today, and you probably won't see a lot of dancing (at least in the traditional sense). Modern venues feature mostly EDM shows now, with attendees bouncing or fist-bumping away. But back in the day, local ballrooms, sock hops, and even discos were really "happening."

Dance floors were filled with singles and couples swinging and jiving away to everything from jazz and rock 'n' roll to even pop hits. Going dancing got people out, moving, and enjoying each other's company. It's time to bring real dancing back to today's nightlife scene.

Sand art was another go-to hobby in the '60s, with people layering or arranging colorful sand into intricate patterns inside glass containers.

You could really get creative with colors, textures, and shapes. Not to mention, sand art was pretty accessible and became a fun way to make decorative pieces for the home.

9. Plant Pressing

This timeless hobby involved collecting plants, flowers, and leaves before carefully pressing them between sheets of paper to preserve their form and color. It allowed people to explore nature and learn about the diverse plant life in their local area.

The best part? The pressed plants could be used for a range of creative purposes, from making beautiful flower arrangements to decorating cards.

10. Pinball Arcades

If you want to play a game with your friends today, you might turn on your PlayStation or Xbox, plop in front of your TV, and throw on a headset. However, boomers got to experience the excitement of playing in real life at pinball arcades.

By actually going to the arcade, they enjoyed face-to-face socialization in an interactive and immersive environment. There were bright lights, cool sounds, and competition to beat high scores that actually got adrenaline pumping.
