Your 'Gossip Girl' Character, According To Your Zodiac Sign

Gossip Girl characters zodiac

Welcome back, Upper East Siders. When the leaves turn orange and coats start to be brought out of storage, it’s a sure sign that Gossip Girlseason is upon us once again. And what better way to ring in fall than to figure out which iconic Gossip Girlcharacter you are based on your zodiac sign?

I’ve typed twelve of the Upper East Side’s most familiar faces based on a combination of their official birthdays and the personalities they exhibit throughout the show. A lot of the time, the two happen to be perfectly aligned (I’m convinced Blair’s birthday was chosen on purpose). Strap on a headband and your cutest stilettos; it’s time to walk down Fifth Avenue and meet your Gossip Girl astrological match. XOXO, Brit + Co.

Warner Bros. Television

Aries: Jenny Humphrey

As the first sign in the zodiac, Aries is full of unbridled optimism. Jenny Humphrey thought she could be Constance’s new queen bee, get away with cutting school with a full-time internship, and launch a highly successful fashion career as a high school sophomore — that’s pretty much the definition of blind optimism. Jenny’s spunky, outspoken, and unafraid to ruffle a lot of feathers to get what she wants. Her red-hot spark is something to be admired.

Giovanni Rufino

Taurus: Dan Humphrey

Dan Humphrey may have the keen analytical eye of a Virgo, but he’s got the taste for luxury of a Taurus. He prides himself on being down to earth, yet he can’t resist getting close to that famed Upper East Side glamor. He’s stubborn when it comes to love, which may explain why he keeps going back to Serena time and time again. Some may call it silly; Dan calls it stable.

Warner Bros. Television

Gemini: Georgina Sparks

You’ve got to hand it to Georgina — she knows how to transform herself into whoever she needs to be whenever she wants. She can be a total darling at one minute and deliciously wicked the next. Geminis like her are more than just “two-faced,” though; they’re also quick-witted, restless, and spontaneous. It’s what makes them so fun to watch.

Warner Bros. Television

Cancer: Nate Archibald

Nate is the Golden Retriever of the Gossip Girl boys. He’s popular, laidback, loyal, and compassionate. This rich boy next door wears his heart on his sleeve and is always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need. But don’t take advantage of this crab’s kindness. If you do Nate dirty, he’ll protect himself behind his tough outer shell, and it’ll take a lot to regain his trust.

Warner Bros. Television

Leo: Serena van der Woodsen

There’s only one zodiac sign iconic enough for the Upper East Side’s "It" Girl: Leo. Serena craves being in the spotlight – so much so that she’s been known to act a little wild just for some attention. She’s also incredibly warm and loyal to those she loves (until she feels threatened). Her magnetic presence lights up any room she walks into, just like you, Leo.

Warner Bros. Television

Virgo: Dorota Kishlovsky

Blair’s ride-or-die maid, Dorota, is a Virgo. Her moral compass might not always align with Blair’s schemes, but her sharp mind plays a crucial role in helping them succeed. She’s a supportive, hardworking friend who always has others’ best interests at heart and never hesitates to take action on their behalf.

Warner Bros. Television

Libra: Lily van der Woodsen

Lily is the definition of luxury. She’s a woman of high class with high tastes, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. But her elegance isn’t the only thing that makes her a Libra. She’s also got Libras’ hallmark ability to charm a room and get along with nearly everyone, which comes in handy when cleaning up her daughter’s (and her own) messes. Aesthetics are everything, so she’ll take a rain check on the emotional soul-baring, ‘kay?

Warner Bros. Television

Scorpio: Blair Waldorf

Cunning, romantic, ambitious, and sensitive: Blair Waldorf carries these traits with the pride of carrying a Birkin bag. Blair is canonically a Scorpio, and the sign couldn’t be more fitting. She’s highly strategic and calculating, which makes reaching her goals and exacting revenge on her enemies that much more satisfying. She places a high value on sex and love and is willing to wait as long as it takes for a man who meets her extremely high standards.

Warner Bros. Television

Sagittarius: Rufus Humphrey

Rufus’s birthday is December 7, making him a Sagittarius. He definitely lived up to the fun-loving nature of his sign during his rock ‘n’ roll years, but as he got older, he chilled out a lot more. As long as he has his art gallery, his guitar, and his daydreams about things finally working out with Lily, he’s all set. Play some Lincoln Hawk and make some waffles in honor of your GG twin, Sag.

Warner Bros. Television

Capricorn: Chuck Bass

Blunt yet smooth-talking Chuck Bass was born on January 19, which makes him a Capricorn. He certainly embodies the stereotypical hard-working nature of the sign; he’s a businessman first and a teenager second. His party-boy ways are actually in line with the fun, often hidden side of Capricorn, as is the loyalty he reserves for those lucky enough to be let into his inner circle.

Warner Bros. Television

Aquarius: Vanessa Abrams

As a social justice-loving Aquarius, Vanessa’s actively trying to make the world a better place. She doesn’t tolerate anyone’s BS, especially from anyone who lives on the UES, and she isn’t afraid to tell them to their face. She’s got a strong moral compass, a drive to tell the truth, and a strong appreciation for the arts, all three of which are highly important to Aquariuses.

Warner Bros. Television

Pisces: Eric van der Woodsen

Eric van der Woodsen is probably the most easygoing character on Gossip Girl. All he’s ever wanted is for everyone to get along. He often pushes his own needs and concerns aside for the sake of his friends and family, as Pisceans tend to do. At his best, Eric is witty, supportive, intuitive, and wise.

Think of the most quotable movies you know, and there's a good chance The Devil Wears Prada makes the list. Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly is just that iconic. The Academy Award-winning actress perfected the movie's balance of biting edge, style, and hidden vulnerability to create a character that is one in a million — and it looks like we could see even more of her thanks to a new The Devil Wears Prada sequel in the works!

News of the sequel first broke in July 2024, right after Emily Blunt actually said the cast would be "good" without a sequel and simply cherishing the first movie. Well it looks like we need to head back into our closets for all the cerulean belts and Chanel boots we can find. Here's everything you need to know about The Devil Wears Prada 2!

Is the original cast returning for The Devil Wears Prada sequel?

MJ Kim/Getty Images

While both Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway have agreed in the past that it makes sense for Andy's story to end with the first movie, Emily recently teased her return during the American Institute for Stuttering Gala on September 16. “It’s cool,” she tells People.

“I just wanna get some good eye makeup going again,” she continues, before joking that maybe her character Emily will come down with another stomach flu. “I’m hoping for that.”

Anne, however, isn't sure what the story would look like in the modern digital age. “I don’t know if there can be [a sequel],” she said on a 2022 episode of The View (via Deadline). “I just think that movie was in a different era. Now everything’s gone so digital and that movie is centered around the concept of producing a physical thing and it’s just, it’s just very different.”

“Sometimes things should be cherished and preserved in this bubble and it’s okay,” Emily Blunt told Josh Horowitz in February 2024 (via People).

Is there The Devil Wears Prada 2?

20th Century Fox/Disney

Yes, it looks like we're finally getting a The Devil Wears Prada sequel! The original movie came out in 2006, and fans have hoped for another installment ever since Andy ditched Miranda in Paris.

The OG movie's screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is reportedly back for round 2, as is director David Frankel and producer Wendy Finerman, according to Deadline.

What book is the sequel to Devil Wears Prada?

Amazon

The second The Devil Wears Prada book is called Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns — and there's a good chance this will become the second The Devil Wears Prada movie! The book follows Andy, who's finally at the top of her game. She's a successful magazine editor, she's engaged, and her relationship with Emily is better than ever. But when Miranda Priestly makes a grand return, she flips Andy's life upside down...again.

Stay tuned for more news on The Devil Wears Prada sequel and read up on This Deleted Scene from The Devil Wears Prada Will Completely Change the Way You See Miranda Priestly for more.

After 2 hours worth of coffee runs, approximately 47 minutes of suffering an intense sugar rush, and a spout of indigestion I’ll certainly be regretting later, I’ve found the best PSL— and it's likely not what you think.

Pumpkin spice season started excruciatingly early this year, with chains like Starbucks, Dunkin', and Krispy Kreme popping out with their fall menus starting August 12. Now that fall is finally setting in in my neck of the woods, I don’t feel entirely out of character ordering a PSL. Hence, a taste test was born.

Meredith Holser

I traveled to four of the most popular coffee chains that got ahead of the PSL game this season: Starbucks, Dunkin’, Krispy Kreme, and Dutch Bros. Not only did I set out to find the best-tasting PSL (though taste is a huge factor), I also wanted to see how they measured up in terms of price. Coffee is not always cheap these days! Scroll on to discover the best PSL you can order, according to my taste test.

Meredith Holser

Starbucks

Order: Tall hot PSL

Cost: $5.75

If there’s one thing I can count on from a Starbucks PSL, it’s comfort. Maybe it’s the nostalgia in me, but that first sip is always soothing. Starbucks’ classic PSL is perfectly sweet, but there’s not a ton of spice. I do really enjoy how creamy the pumpkin spice flavor is – likely because they use a thick pumpkin sauce as opposed to a syrup.

I ordered a hot PSL in a tall size for my taste test (because I knew my stomach couldn’t, well, stomach three more standard-sized PSLs), though I wished I had requested a grande. Larger sizes at Starbucks are crafted with more espresso, so I didn’t get a ton of coffee notes from the tall swig that only had one shot. After a solid 5-minute sip session, I have to grant Starbucks’ PSL 3.5/5 stars. The lack of a caffeinated coffee punch and a wild abundance of orange (the drink’s color is quite jarring) left me no choice but to knock off some points.

Meredith Holser

Dunkin’

Order: Small hot PSL

Cost: $5.19

Dunkin’s PSL is definitely worth skipping. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m a Dunkin’ girly through and through (their Dunkalatte is bangin’), but upon first sip of their PSL, I gagged – I can’t lie. Their PSL is way too sweet and literally just tastes like syrup. Transparently, I tasted a lot more vanilla than pumpkin flavor (and a hint of candle fragrance), which was disappointing, given the drink is literally called Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I felt like I needed to take a big breath and touch grass after drinking it. To top it off, the little espresso I detected the drink tasted very bitter and burnt. For the money I spent, I can definitively say it’s not worth it. It’s gonna be 1/5 stars for me, thanks!

Meredith Holser

Dutch Bros

Order: Small hot PSL

Cost: $4.85

Next on my taste test was Dutch Bros. I don’t often make a beeline to this coffee chain, but I was pretty loyal to them in college (for the Cocomo alone), so my hopes were fairly high. I ordered a small hot PSL – and it was definitely pumpkiny. Concerningly pumpkiny, even. Their pumpkin flavor read more savory than sweet in my opinion, which I think could offer a fun and refreshing sip when you’re tired of downing super-sweet drinks.

At this point in the taste test, I was tweaking hard from all the sugar and caffeine I had consumed, but the depth of flavor with Dutch Bros’ PSL ultimately impressed me. The best part was I wasn’t missing out on the espresso at all! The espresso was extremely prevalent even in the small-sized drink. I’m not sure I would order it again since my nearest Dutch Bros is 20 minutes from home, but it certainly earned my stamp of approval. That’s a 4/5 star rating for you, Dutch.

Meredith Holser

Krispy Kreme

Order: Small hot PSL

Cost: $2.59

I fear that Krispy Kreme is a true underdog when it comes to breakfast and coffee, especially their PSL. Krispy Kreme’s PSL tasted scarily similar to Starbucks, though it wasn’t as devilishly sweet. After sipping on it, I can confidently say I absolutely prefer this less-sweet version. I was honestly so shocked at how good it was – I sat in my car with my jaw dropped for a good moment. For only $2.59, I felt it was too good to be true. The drink was hot, fresh, and flavorful, and the low price made it all the better. Krispy Kreme’s pumpkin flavoring wasn’t extremely in my face, though I still got the pumpkiny effect that’s perfect for the season. If you’re a ride-or-die Starbucks fan, you need to make your way to Krispy Kreme. Trust me. I’m granting it 4.5/5 stars – and we have a winner, baby!

There's no doubt that out of all the TV moms I've seen over the years, Lorelai Gilmore is one of the absolute best. At first glance, the Gilmore Girls leading lady might seem like the best mom ever just because she's fun, but it's way more than that. Lorelai totally understands and cares about Rory, and takes an interest in things she's interested in. She works hard to provide for their life in Stars Hollow, and can turn any horrible situation into something that feels more like an adventure (like getting the worst seats at a concert or staying up all night to study). But she's also not afraid to stand up for the people she cares about, even if it means making a scene. TLDR; I love Lorelai with my whole heart. Here are 6 moments that prove just how incredible Lorelai is.

She Believes In Second Chances

Warner Bros. Television

Lorelai is pretty vocal about how she thinks growing up with Richard and Emily Gilmore left her feeling stifled. So it's no surprise she encourages Rory to make her own decisions based on her own opinions. Does Rory end up making some pretty wild mistakes? Yes. But is Lorelai always there to help Rory figure out what happens next? Also yes.

One of my favorite moments comes from season 6, when Lorelai writes a letter encouraging Rory to give Logan another chance. Even though Lor and Logan don't necessarily get along, Lorelai understands that falling in love is "elusive and all-encompassing," and is a firm believer in second chances.

That's why when Lorelai tells Rory "when you fall under [love's] intoxicating spell, you have little recourse but to live out its devices. If you love this boy, maybe you want to give it another chance?" it's even more impactful.

Lorelai Always Comforts Rory, Even When She Messes Up

Warner Bros. Television

Both Gilmore girls are far from perfect, but one of their shining attributes is that, except for The Fight in season 5, they're always there for each other. And that includes when Rory messes up. At the end of season 4, Rory loses her virginity to Dean, who's still married to Lindsay. After a brief fight, Rory runs outside to call Dean, but breaks down in tears when Lindsay answers the phone. Lorelai tries to comfort her and get Rory to come back inside to talk, but Rory's the one who runs away.

Lorelai in no way excuses Rory's behavior, but the fact that she's willing to sideline the disagreement for a moment to make sure Rory's okay shows that her top priority is, and always will be, taking care of her daughter.

She's Confident & Unashamed

Warner Bros. Television

We recently broke down all the reasons Lorelai is Brat Summer personified, and her attitude is just another reason to love her. Not only does her perseverance, optimistic hope, and dedication pave the way for professional achievements like The Dragonfly Inn, but it's also a shining light for the whole series.

As someone whose personality is more similar to Rory's, every time I rewatch Gilmore Girls, Lorelai teaches me something new about what it means to be unashamedly myself. She reminds me just how fun it is to celebrate the quirkiest parts of myself, and her confidence makes me feel like I can be more confident.

Lorelai Takes Lane Under Her Wing

Warner Bros. Television

We've talked at length about how the Gilmore Girls writers could have done so much better with Lane Kim's storyline. Even creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who wasn't involved with GG season 7, revealed she would have preferred Lane's story turn out different. But one thing I do love about Lane's story is how much she clicks with Lorelai.

Lorelai loves talking with Lane, and giving her guidance when she asks for it. She's more than happy to spend time together, which I think is all Lane really wants from Mrs. Kim. And just like she talks with Rory about books and schools, Lorelai bonds with Lane over music, giving Lane a space to feel creative and inspired. Plus, she even plans Lane's bachelorette party! (Which also goes to show Rory takes Lane for granted too...)

Rory and Lane are both incredibly independent women, but it never hurts to know someone has your back.

She Knows When To Wallow

Warner Bros. Television

Whether you're getting over a breakup or you're just having a bad day, I think it's important to know when to wallow (AKA, when to indulge in your comfort foods & comfort TV shows, and let yourself rest). And Lorelai agrees. Knowing how painful heartbreak can be, Lorelai encourages Rory to take it easy after Dean breaks up with her for the first time...but goes along with Rory's productive Saturday list anyway.

And when Rory's finally ready to wallow with a bucket of ice cream? Lorelai kisses her on the forehead and wraps her arms around her (after ordering a pizza, of course).

She Celebrates Simple Moments

Warner Bros. Television

And finally, Loreali's ability to turn ordinary life moments into extraordinary memories might just be the best thing about her. This is something my own mom did a phenomenal job of, whether we were having a grand Thanksgiving sleepover on the living room floor or turning a family night into a sushi extravaganza. Lorelai's version of those moments? Turning the first snowfall of the year into a beautiful celebration, embarking on a grand Harvard road trip, and throwing the most epic Sweet Sixteen. And those moments are just as special for us as they are for Rory.

In the spirit of The Office reboot and the potential Modern Family reunion, fans of Parks and Rec have been begging for their favorite stars to reunite. (And by "fans," we're talking about ourselves). We can thank the show for Galentine's Day, Treat Yourself Thursdays, and a brand new Parks and Recreation cast reunion! At the premiere for Marvel's new show Agatha All Along, series stars Kathryn Hahn and Aubrey Plaza were joined on the purple carpet by Amy Poehler and Adam Scott.

Amy and Adam played Leslie Knope and Ben Wyatt on the NBC sitcom, which ran from 2009-2015. Aubrey played fan-favorite April Ludgate while Kathryn frequently guest starred as Jen Barkley. And this reunion IMMEDIATELY gave us the same dose of serotonin that our favorite Parks and Rec episodes do. Check out the adorable video below!

See The Latest 'Parks And Recreation' Cast Reunion!

"Members of the Pawnee Parks & Rec Department have arrived at the premiere of #AgathaAllAlong," the official Marvel Studios Instagram account said in a video of Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, Adam Scott, and Amy Poehler laughing on the carpet. In the spooky spirit of the Marvel title, the three women wore gorgeous black dresses while Adam opted for jeans, a button down, and a blazer.

"That was insane," Aubrey Plaza told Entertainment Tonight. "I had no idea that was gonna happen...I knew Amy was here [but] I didn't know Adam was coming. Look, you can't stop it. The Parks and Rec buddies are never gonna fail."

While Aubrey's April shared plenty of screen time with Leslie (especially after joining Leslie's City Council campaign), she never actually got to act alongside Katheryn Hahn.

Kathryn told The Hollywood Reporterthat working with Aubrey Plaza “was a dream. We had never had any scenes together in Parks and Rec, I think we passed each other in hallways, but for this to be the first time we really worked together was incredible. I think she’s such an extraordinary actor so to be able to play with her like this was so fun.”

As surprising as the Parks and Recreation cast reunion (and Aubrey Plaza and Kathryn Hahn's team up on Agatha All Along) was, this isn't the first time the cast has talked about getting back together.

Chris Pratt told E! News that he misses his character Andy, who married April in season 3, just as much as fans do. “I would love [a reboot]. I know I would do it...It films like 10 minutes from my house, so that would be dope.”

“I’ll speak for everybody and say we would all do it,” Amy Poehler told Ellen DeGeneres in 2018. “I think we’d all do it someday, it’d be amazing.”

What do you want to see in a Parks and Rec reboot? Let us know on Facebook! Check out Brit + Co's list of Ultimate Feel Good TV Shows to tune into tonight.
