Wow Your Dinner Party Guests With This Grilled Cheese Fondue Recipe

When it comes to hosting a dinner party, most people aim to show off their culinary skills by making OTT dishes like mussles recipes or this drool-worthy crab dinner recipe. However, for the rest of us who want to pretend for one night that we’re an adult with adult-like responsibilities, we prefer our dinner parties to be fun and lively (and less Iron Chef-y). That’s where this cheesy tomato fondue dish comes in. It will keep your hangry guest at bay with its cheesy tomato goodness and mini grilled cheeses. Want this recipe in your life? Check it out below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup of pre-made tomato creamy soup
  • 4-10 slices of white and pumpernickel bread
  • 1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon of butter (for pan)

Instructions:

1. Add the butter to a skillet over medium-high heat and let it melt.

2. While the butter is melting, pour the pre-made tomato soup in a medium-size pan, and heat it up over medium-high heat. Make sure to constantly stir the soup so it doesn’t burn at the bottom.

3. Once the soup has been heated, slowly add the grated cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted. Turn down the heat, and let the soup simmer for five minutes.

4. Create the grilled cheese sandwiches and place them in the skillet with the melted butter. Make three to six sandwiches, depending on how many people you’ll have.

5. When the sandwiches have slightly cooled down, cut them into small squares and place them on a serving dish.

6. Serve the mini grilled cheeses together with the tomato soup with fondue forks.

To All The Boys will always be a comfort movie, and when Netflix announced we were getting a spinoff about our favorite little sister Kitty Song Covey (who's now a teenage matchmaker), I was over the moon! Well, fans of XO, Kitty are in for a treat because season 2 drops on January 16 — and it's one of our most-anticipated January TV shows. Not only are we reuniting with one of our favorite Coveys, but another cast member from the movie cast is making an appearance too!

Here's everything we know about XO, Kitty season 2.

Who's joining the cast this season?

Netflix

XO, Kitty season 2 stars Anna Cathcart, Audrey Huynh, Sasha Bhasin, Joshua Lee, Minyeong Choi, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Anthony Keyvan, Peter Thurnwald, and Regan Aliyah.

And the best news of all is that Noah Centineo is returning as Peter Kavinsky!! This was not on my 2025 bingo card and I'm THRILLED.

What is XO Kitty season 2 about?

Netflix

Kitty's back for her second semester at KISS, and she's hoping to scale things way back. What can we say? She's in her casual dating era! That is, until a letter from her mom's past sends her on a whole new journey. "There are so many new people now,” Anna Cathcart told Tudum. “To see her world expand is a huge, huge difference and will be a really fun thing to follow.”

It sounds like XO Kitty season 2 will be a continuation of that coming of age!

Where can I watch XO, Kitty season 2?

Netflix

XO, Kitty season 2 hits Netflix January 16, 2025.

If you have to be at a potluck in a matter of a few hours, there are plenty of easy potluck ideas that require a minimal amount of time and will still impress the guests — several don't even involve a trip to the store! Whether you're throwing a potluck or attending one, check out our fave easy-peasy potluck recipes that will get you ready to go ASAP.

What are the best foods to bring to a potluck?

Rachel Claire / PEXELS

The best foods to bring to a potluck are easy-to-make dishes and finger foods like cheese dip, corn on the cob, casseroles, guacamole, slow cooker mac and cheese, potato salad, caprese, charcuterie boards, jalapeño poppers, sliders, pinwheels, and pasta salad. Your potluck dish should be ready to eat when you arrive to the function. Attendees should be able to eat the treat you brought straight off a plate, so soups and stews aren't recommended. We have all the fuss-free recipes you need to prepare for a potluck!

What can I bring to a potluck without cooking?

Askar Abayev / PEXELS

Store-bought chips and dip, sweet tea, bread rolls, ice cream, fruit salad, charcuterie cheeses and meats, and veggie trays are all fantastic options to bring to a potluck. No cooking necessary! If you're not going the food route for your upcoming potluck, volunteer to bring napkins, cups, utensils, and paper towels. The potluck host will thank you!

What to bring to a potluck last minute?

Rachel Claire / PEXELS

Easy, quick snacks that you can make without needing to heat up anything are your best bet for last-minute potluck prep. Dips, guacamole, lettuce wraps, salsa, salad, and no-bake finger foods are all great options.

What snacks do you bring to a potluck?

Kampus Production / PEXELS

Potato chips, pigs in a blanket, fruit kebabs, hummus and pita bread, roll-ups, bruschetta, cookies, brownie bites, deviled eggs, and potato skins are stellar snacks to bring to a potluck. You want to pick up snacks that are easy to eat and easy to clean up, too.
