The Good Place actress took to Instagram on Sunday, March 10, to debut her new sharp ‘do, which is three to four inches shorter than what she’s been sporting lately. Bell, who shares two kids with Dax Shepard, wrote, “Your mom got a hair cut and she is FEELING IT.” She credited the chop to her go-to celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho, who posted the transformation via a timelapse video on Instagram.

Bell, who recently launched Hello Bello, a line of baby products at Walmart with Shepard, isn’t the only one snipping her strands in Hollywood this year. Mandy Moore and Anne Hathaway have left their longer lengths in the dust in favor of shorter styles.

After chopping off four inches from my hair a couple of months ago, I had to adopt a fresh hair care routine. The same products I’d relied on to hydrate my formerly lengthy locks weren’t needed anymore, so my hairdresser recommended that I change my approach to suit my current hair needs. In my case, my new cut means fewer washes and as much added texture as I can get.

Scaling back on cleansing made me nervous as I’m not a fan of oily roots. After experimenting with a few different options, I found that Christophe Robin Hydrating Shampoo Bar With Aloe Vera ($22) cut through oil, product, and grime but still left me with a slightly gritty feel, which worked perfectly for the lived-in, tousled vibe that has me obsessed.

Following the advice of my stylist, I even took conditioner out of the equation. According to him, my shorter locks don’t need it and it’ll take away from that beachy look, so I obliged. Luckily, the shampoo bar conditions my hair just enough (thanks to aloe vera), so my locks are hydrated and healthy-looking but not overly shiny.

The fact that this product comes in solid form also has its benefits. It’s a dream to travel with, lasts forever, and even works as a body wash, so it’s a great value. As a part of their Back to Starbucks initiative, the coffee chain is implementing some exciting newness to their in-store ordering process. The first involves free refills for certain orders and the second has to do with their famed condiment bar!

The first major change? Free refills. Yep – Starbucks is offering free refills to customers who order their drinks “for here.” The only drinks eligible for this new offer are brewed coffee (hot or iced) and brewed tea (hot or iced).

All “for here” orders will be handed off in a Starbucks ceramic mug or glass, or a clean personal cup if you choose to bring one along.

The new process sadly excludes regular cold brew, nitro cold brew, any Iced Tea Lemonade, flavored iced teas, and Starbucks Refreshers.

Secondly, the condiment bar is finally back at participating Starbucks stores! This means you can customize your own drink on your own terms with an array of creamers, milks, and sweeteners.

The Starbucks condiment bar essentially disappeared during COVID out of safety concerns, so this year will mark the first time it’s back in cafes in just about 5 years! As someone who almost always craves a sweeter drink, this news is so nice since it will streamline my coffee runs.

These two new changes (“coffeehouse amenities” as Starbucks calls them) are likely Starbucks' latest move in their ‘back to Starbucks’ initiative. New CEO Brian Niccol first surfaced the idea in an open letter to Starbucks partners, customers and stakeholders in September 2024, stating that he’d be “refocusing on what has always set Starbucks apart.” He noted that one of the first steps would be investing in technology that improves the customer experience.
