Longer days full of sunshine mean evenings dedicated to alfresco happy hours and social gatherings of all kinds — BBQs, picnics, garden parties and all-night ragers (oops!). Unfortunately, this means you might be waking up a few times this summer with one majorly brutal hangover. But we’re here to help with tips on how to harbor that pounding headache and get on with your day.

Ever moaned “Whyyyyy?!” after a night of serious sippage? Here’s “why”: A hangover is caused by a combination of toxic by-product that your body creates in order to metabolize alcohol (acetaldehyde), dehydration and the depletion of vitamins A, B and C (caused by the chemical action of alcohol in your system). Treatment involves rehydrating the body so it can deal with the painful symptoms, meaning that glass of water before bed is kind of important. We all know that the best cure for a hangover is moderation, but if you do over do it, these 10 cures may help you function a little better the next day.

1. Sprite:According to Chinese researchers, the carbonated beverage was found to actually speed up the work up of acetaldehyde to metabolize alcohol. This means that Sprite could ease a hangover by shortening the body’s exposure to the enzyme. (Photo)

2. A Good Dinner:Although many believe that a greasy breakfast helps, the real question when it comes to food and alcohol is what did you eat before all those drinks? Food helps slow the absorption of alcohol, and the longer it takes alcohol to reach your bloodstream, the longer it is until you become intoxicated. Eating mineral and protein-rich food is your best line of defense. So have that burger! (Photo)

3. Vitamin C: Vitamin C is taken out of your body by alcohol, so you’ll want to put it back in as soon as possible. Orange juice, tomato juice or a 600mg Vitamin C tablet will all work. Over-the-counter painkillers can also help with headaches and muscle cramps in the AM.

4. Hair of the Dog: Sometimes, you just need a mimosa and a lively brunch spot. And that actually works!

5. Go for a Run:If you can muster it up, “sweating it out” actually does help a bit. Moving your body and getting some exercise, even when you don’t necessarily feel like exercising, can help stimulate the release of endorphins again, resulting in a better mood and a better state of mind as you recover from your hangover. Just make sure to drink lots of water before and after.

6. Miso Soup: Miso soup replaces a lot of the things our bodies need to feel better: water, sodium and other nutrients depleted by the diuretic effects of alcohol. Because it’s a fermented food that contains healthy bacteria, miso can also aid with digestion. Too much alcohol is known to disrupt the stomach’s lining, which can result in unpleasant digestive side effects. (Photo)

7. Sleep: This is probably the most appealing option of the lot, so thankfully it’s one of the most effective. Rest is your best friend at this point because your body needs an opportunity to recover. Some hangovers are caused due to a lack of REM sleep, which causes you to wake up early, making you more tired and irritable. Stay in bed and catch up on some Zzzs if you can.

8. Bananas: Alcohol actually draws water from your body’s cells, creating more urine and causing you to literally flush potassium down the toilet. Low levels of potassium causes weak, shaky muscles and high blood pressure — all common hangover symptoms. Eating a banana can shoot your potassium levels right back up to where they belong. (Photo)

9. Water: As you likely know from the frequent trips to the bathroom during a night of debauchery, alcohol is a diuretic that can cause dehydration. Before crawling into bed, try to down a glass or two of water. When you wake up, keep on gulping the H2O. Adding salt and sugar to water helps replace the sodium and glycogen lost the night before. You can also drink non-caffeinated, non-carbonated sports drinks to achieve the same effect. Queue the coconut water!

10. Prevention: The best cure is drinking in moderation. Limit your drinks to one every hour. Your body metabolizes each glass of wine (or beer or shot) in about 60 to 75 minutes. Drink faster, and your blood alcohol level rises faster. Order a glass of water with every drink and alternate between the two to replace lost fluids as you go. (Photo)

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly may not be together, but they have a lot to celebrate now that their daughter made her grand debut! Machine Gun Kelly eagerly announced her arrival on Instagramby sharing a small black and white video of him holding her toes.

No matter where he and Megan stand, the rapper made it clear he's excited their daughter was born safe and sound. The sweetest part of his caption is him calling the newborn a "little celestial seed."

He also explained that Travis Barker helped welcome their daughter through music, adding, "We composed the score of the birth. What an epic journey. Praise God."

We also love positive the comments on the announcement post are! Even MTV couldn't resist commenting by writing, "congratulations ♥️."

TMZ reported Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly broke up on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. The pair allegedly split on Thanksgiving weekend in Vail, Colorado given "upsetting material" Megan found on MGK's phone. Apparently they haven't been together since the breakup, with MGK going as far as to leave their trip early.

Megan announced she was pregnant on Instagram a month before they allegedly broke up, on November 11, 2024. According to PEOPLE, MGK was "basically telling everyone he knows" about the baby, and that the pair is "doing well" in general. Now, it seems like the tables have really turned in the latter regard.

However, an exclusive source told PEOPLE, "Their relationship has always been bumpy. They love each other but don't have compatible personalities." The source explained that Megan and MGK are "both hot-heads, dramatic and stubborn," noting that they've "worked things out" when they broke up in the past. "When they're good together, they're great," they said. "They will very likely get back together."

PEOPLE reported that Megan and MGK announced their engagement on Instagram on January 12, 2022. However, the Jennifer's Body star only features her pregnancy announcement on Instagram now — and while MGK doesn't have a post on his grid either, you can still see his video of her engagement ring here!

Everyone lost their minds when leaks of Margot Robbie dressed in a white wedding gown made their way onto the internet. While some Margot fans say the look is "ethereal" and "majestic," others are criticizing the choice to use a white wedding dress since the trend wasn't started until Queen Victoria married in TK.

The first look at Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights is getting some seriously mixed reactions. The photo features a close-up image of someone (maybe Margot Robbie's) with their fingers and a few blades of grass in their mouth.

"CAN NOT WAIT," one Instagram user said, along with a couple fire emojis. But the intimate (and somewhat shocking) image also has some users asking, "what in the saltburn?"

The Wuthering Heights cast will be led by Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie as Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, respectively. Here's the cast list:

  • Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw: a young girl torn between her feelings for Heathcliff.
  • Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff: a boy fostered by the Earnshaws who's forced to be a servant.
  • Hong Chau as Nelly Dean: a servant in the Earnshaw household.
  • Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton: One of the Earnshaw's neighbor, whom Heathcliff and Catherine spy on.
  • Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton: Isabella's brother.

In addition to starring, Margot will also produce with her production company LuckyChap, which worked behind the scenes on Emerald Fennell's Saltburn and Promising Young Woman.

While some fans were initially excited about the casting, others were concerned about the fact that in the book, Heathcliff is described as "dark skinned." He also tells Nelly that, "I wish I had light hair and a fair skin, and was dressed, and behaved as well, and had a chance of being as rich as he will be!" Um, it looks like Jacob Elordi definitely has fair skin to me.

"Heathcliff is described as a dark-skinned brown man in the book and a major plot point is that he was subjected to racist abuse by his adopted family. But yeah sure Jacob Elordi is perfect," one tweet (which has over 8 million views) says, while another says, "Film studios will say 'We are committed to diverse casting' and then cast Jacob Elordi to play Heathcliff, one of the more famous people of color in literature, whose race is crucial to both his character and the story."

And when the casting for Edgar and Isabella Linton was announced, one X user said, "Now I’m even more pissed off. They look way more like Heathcliff and Cathy cmon now!!!"

Is Wuthering Heights going to be in theaters?

It appears director Emerald Fennell and producer Margot Robbie are pushing for a theatrical release, which is why they've reportedly turned down a Netflix offer of $150 million.

Despite the fact Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said theatrical releases are "just not our business," and the company has stuck to at-home streaming instead, they did break that pattern for Knives Out: Glass Onion in 2022. The movie appeared in around 600 theaters the day before Thanksgiving, but left a week later ahead of its December 23 debut on the streamer.

Co-CEO Reed Hastings told The Hollywood Reporter that keeping the movie in theaters could have made Netflix more money, but later said they just wanted to "break through the noise" and get movie lovers excited for the film to come to Netflix.

All that to be said, Margot Robbie (whose Barbie made over $1 billion worldwide) and Emerald Fennell (whose Promising Young Woman nabbed her an Oscar win and two other nominations) know how to capture the imaginations of movie lovers everywhere. You don’t need to deep-clean — just focus on visible clutter. Clear off countertops, coffee tables, and entryways. Short on time? Just toss items into a basket and tuck them away in a closet.

Set the mood with a seasonal or favorite scent, like vanilla, amber, or something citrusy. It instantly makes your space feel warm and inviting. I like to put one in the guest bathroom too for a little surprise.

The only thing keeping me from being upset about A Court of Thorns and Roses TV show being canceled is how well Hulu handled it's newest thriller, Paradise. Created by screenwriter Dan Fogelman (This Is Us) and starring Sterling K. Brown, it's a murder mystery with dystopian undertones that explores what could happen if states become uninhabitable.

Besides feeling relevant to our current timeline, Paradise has a soundtrack that rivals Strangers Things and leaves viewers wanting more. Fortunately, Hulu got the memo and renewed it for Season 2 — thank goodness!

I'm pinching myself because Paradise Season 2 has started filming! Dan Fogelman shared the amazing news on his Instagram a few days ago and his comments are buzzing with excitement! "We’re baaaaaaaack. #Paradise#S2," he wrote which means we could see Sterling K. Brown and Julianne Nichols on our screens sooner than anticipated.

This comes after an update Fogelman shared with a hopeful fan on X. In response to a fear viewers would have to wait a long time to see more action from our new favorite characters, Fogelman put all fears aside. "we start shooting in just a few weeks. It won’t be 2 years I promise! #Paradise," he said.

When does 'Paradise' season 2 premiere?

Filming just started for Paradise Season 2, so a premiere date for it hasn't been shared yet. But at the rate Fogelman's going, we could possibly see the thriller series on Hulu towards the end of the year or at the beginning of 2026!

For now, fans can rewatch Season 1 on Hulu or when it appears on ABC April 7 at 10:00 p.m. (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Wow, where do I begin?!

After it was revealed that the community he and everyone else lives in has been artificially created due to a disaster, the brief moments of unease Collins shows begins making sense. It's clear he and President Cal ended on bad terms before his death, but it doesn't seem like he was responsible for murdering the man he was sworn to protect.

What's odd is that Sinatra, the mastermind behind the beautiful community they live in, has been playing puppet master. She ordered the deaths of scientists sent to the surface to test the air quality AND she made sure Agent Billy was blindsided by his love interest's manipulation. Upsettingly, his murderer is none other than seemingly docile and clueless Agent Jane.

Viewers were also introduced to President Cal's father and were able to see how much he never wanted to be the face of the country. Though his father appears to have dementia, it's clear he feels guilty about something and may have seen who killed his son.
