There’s nothing like a greasy slice of pizza after a long day of shopping at Costco. From the toasty brown dots on the cheese, to the pasty tomato sauce, I just love biting into a slice and popping a melty morsel into my mouth. But every time I do, I can’t help but feel a little guilty for buying $100+ of groceries, just to sit there and enjoy a quick meal before I even leave the store. And don’t even get me started on my gym key card, which hasn’t been used since last year…

But thanks to TikTok, I can feel a little better about my purchase — because guess what? It’s somewhat good for you! One slice of Costco pizza has 44 grams of protein. That’s more than three times the amount of two hard boiled eggs (12 grams), a little more than a cup of peanuts (38 grams), and about as much as a serving size of salmon (40 grams).

According to WebMD, protein is good for building muscle, boosting your immune system, strengthening your bones, and more. You can use this calculator to determine how much protein you should have a day, based on your height, weight, and other factors. For me, a 190 pound woman who’s 5’7” tall, I should only have 69 grams of protein a day, which comes out to...about a slice and a half. I’m not going to lie, this isn’t the best news pour moi — my go-to order is two slices and a soda. But these tips aren’t one-size-fits-all, so go with your gut! (See what I did there?)

I love white or black foam core board for creating vision boards. There are LOADS of sizes and options for this, so have fun picking the right one for you.

Adhesive

Glue sticks, Washi tape or pushpins work equally well. I prefer something non-permanent so I can revise my board as the year moves along.

X-acto knife, ruler, scissors or a paper cutter are all great tools to have on hand.

Magazines, old books, photographs all work well.

Set the vibe

A good playlist to inspire creative vibes, a big work area (floors work great for this!) and light some candles to keep it dreamy and inspiring.

I like to make one vision board for my entire world — work, family, love, hobbies, wellness, travel. Others prefer to have a separate vision board for each area of their life, or to only focus on one for the entire year. Let your intuition guide you here and decide the best approach for you. Great resources for images are favorite blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, and Unsplash — really any image that speaks to you is vision board worthy.

One of our favorite tricks is to use the 4-3-2 Rule while we grocery shop so that we know our fridge has fruits and veggies throughout the week. And instead of waiting to cut up your veg when you're hungry, cut and prep them at the beginning of your work week so that you have snacks at-the-ready to eat whenever you want.

Our other favorite hack is grocery shopping on a full stomach — it helps us stick to our list and focus on what we actually want to get instead of grabbing everything we see on the shelves.

If you're always eating snacks that aren't filling (a handful of potato chips on their own won't cut it!) or you aren't eating the right kinds of meals, there's a chance you're always hungry. Not only can a balanced, consistent diet help the way that your body functions, but it can also help you feel less hungry throughout the day because you're giving your body what it actually needs.

It's also important to learn to listen to your body's cues so that you know what your body is craving. Eating smaller meals and snacks throughout the day can prevent that cycle of eating a huge meal that fills your stomach, and then feeling famished a few hours later.
