Here’s How to Snag Bella Hadid’s Off-Duty Style on the Cheap

To say Bella Hadid has taken the fashion industry by storm would be an understatement. The burgeoning supermodel is a fixture in some of the most prestigious events on the fashion calendar and snagged Model of the Year status last December. Like Gigi and Kendall, she’s no stranger to social media either, meaning we’ve gotten plenty of glimpses of Hadid’s off-duty style. Think: denim for days, swoon-inducing bodysuits, edgy hoodies and ‘90s-era accessories for starters. You might not have the cash to drop on Louis Vuitton, Moschino and Chanel like Hadid, but, trust, you can totally channel her edgy style without emptying your savings account. We’ve curated 11 quintessential Bella looks and are showing you how to create them on a dime. You can thank us later.

Bright Furry Coat

Bella certainly knows how to rock those super model vibes, and this getup is proof. A sleek, all-black ensemble gives way to a peach-colored topper that packs a punch. Cool girl contrast achieved.

Get the look:ASOS Coat in Chunky Faux Fur ($113): Laced with old world glamour, this copper-colored topper is the piece your wardrobe has been waiting for. Make the mundane feel like a red carpet affair by popping this number on top of distressed denim, sneakers and a chunky knit.

’90s Sunnies

Forget the ’70s — Bella’s signature look is solidly settled in ’90s territory. The evidence? Her enviable collection of classic denim, crop tops and quirky throwback shades that she busts out on the regular.

Get the Look: Urban Outfitters 1992 Slim Oval Sunglasses ($16): If you’re going to throw shade, you might as well do it in style. Protect those peepers with these circular sunnies that would look just as chic styled alongside a ’90s athleisure look as they would with a faux fur coat, skinny jeans and a wrap bodysuit.

Oversized White Shirt

Even Bella can’t deny the merits of a basic button-down. Teamed with everyday denim and fresh white sneaks, it practically epitomizes the concept of casual cool. To put a flirtatious — and totally Bella — twist on the menswear-inspired style, she rocks it knotted just above the navel in lieu of the expected half-tuck alternative.

Get the Look:Madewell Drapey Oversized Boyshirt ($72): Nice and easy does it. As Bella proves time and time again, you don’t need a closet full of OTT pieces to make a major style statement. This essential blouse teamed with side-button track pants and a pair of ankle-strap heels is enough to send your Insta following — and everyone else — into a frenzy.

Lieutenant Hat

Every girl needs a signature accessory, and while most might turn to a particular piece of jewelry, bag or pair of block heels, Bella has adopted a badass military hat as her go-to outfit finisher. And we dig it.

4. Free People At Ease Lieutenant Hat ($38): Put that beanie on the back burner. Introducing the don’t-mess cap that will instantly upgrade bohemian dresses and sporty bomber jackets in two seconds flat.

Denim Jacket

ICYMI: Hadid has a thing for denim-on-denim. And for every ah-mazing pair of patchwork, skinny, distressed and high-waisted jeans you’ll spot her sporting, there’s an equally as eye-catching denim jacket not far behind.

5. BDG Boyfriend Denim Trucker Jacket ($89): Denim jackets are one of those things that will always be in style, so it’s safe to say that stocking up on a few covetable looks is a pretty worthy investment. Consider this stolen-from-your-boyfriend’s-closet piece your new official after-hours topper, the perfect complement to rib knit sweaters, ankle trousers and oversized scarves that will inject your off-duty style with undeniable edge.

Killer Bikini

Is there a better way to get over an ex than kickin’ it on the beach with your buds? Nope. An arsenal of OMG-worthy suits is essential — obvi — and best believe Bella slays in that department. But would you really expect anything less?

6. Kiini Bikini Top ($165) and Bottom ($120): Remember Kiini, cool girl bathing suit brand that was popping up all over your Insta feed last summer? Well, if the pic above is any indication, their stylish suits have pretty good prospects in 2017 too. It’s a bit of a splurge, but the bohemian style — Bella’s go-to aesthetic for beach bummin’ — is guaranteed to win you all the style points during spring break and beyond.

High-Waisted Leggings

Much like her sister, Bella can be frequently found pounding the pavement in ultra sleek leggings — even when she’s not hitting the gym. But you won’t be finding any oversized tees in sight — the supermodel styles up her get-fit trousers with sassy cropped separates.

7. Nike Sportswear Bonded Leggings ($100): Just when you thought leggings were headed into the no-go zone, celebs and the front row set gave them new life. To keep your look feeling chic instead of sloppy, partner a sleek cropped pair with a turtleneck, longline sleeveless blazer, structured bag and Stan Smiths FTW.

Graphic Sweatshirts

Punchy toppers make a regular appearance in Hadid’s model-off-duty lineup. From playful pink styles to edgy hooded options, her collection runs the gamut and lends her high-fashion look a refreshingly down-to-earth vibe.

8. Monogram Nudes Boy Fit Sweatshirt ($88): Bella might favor Supreme and Moschino, but we have our hearts and our closets set on this graphic Monogram number. Dress it up Man-Repeller style with jacquard high-waist trousers, fishnet socks and sculptural block heels for a leisurely Saturday spent perusing local galleries.

Metallic Puffer Jacket

Bella basically wins winter with this quicksilver puffer coat that perfectly channels her innate sense of downtown style. If you had any questions about the puffer being back, consider this your answer. (Photo via Ignat/Bauer-Griffen/GC Images)

9. Topshop Crop Funnel Puffer Jacket ($190): Assert your haute sartorial status by ditching snoozy black puffers this season and embracing eye-catching options instead. Whether you’re headed to the studio or exploring a new city, this lovely lilac stunner will keep you toasty and on top of your sartorial game.

Saucy Bodysuit

Bodysuits and Bella go hand-in-hand. After-hours, she ditches her go-to denim and Vetements track suits to flirt it up in a jaw-dropping number like this. It’s all about balance, amiright?

10. ASOS Body With Placed Lace ($34): Bodycons are so yesterday. When you have a sultry bodysuit like this on standby, there’s only one thing you can do: Head straight to the dance floor. Toss it on with distressed skinny jeans, strappy heels and an oversized bomber jacket, then proceed to turn heads as you paint the town red like only you know how to do.

OTK Boots

Bella’s stepper of choice (after classic sneakers, of course)? OTK kicks. This off-duty look is the epitome of lazy-girl chic, with the wow-worthy boots adding a refined feel to an otherwise laid-back sweater dress. Flawless every. Single. Time. (Photo via Marc Piasecki/WireImage)

11. Mango Over-the-Knee Heel Boots ($90): While fussy at first glance, OTK boots are the ultimate layering hack in disguise. For a Monday morning meeting or a hip downtown soiree, pull them on over tights, leggings or skinny jeans for an extra layer of warmth on cold winter nights.

The Wicked moviepress tour has been a truly beautiful thing to witness. Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo have cried in almost every interview because of how much they love their characters and each other, and it seems like working on this project really did heal something in them. So, after the sincerity of their interviews, I was really taken aback when I learned Dax Shepard had Cynthia Erivo on his Armchair Expert podcast...and chose to ask her about going to the bathroom?

Keep reading for what Dax Shepard had to say and, like me, wonder why he asked it in the first place.

On an episode of his Armchair Expert podcast, Dax Shepard asked Oscar nominee Cynthia Erivo if her famously long nails make it difficult to wipe when she goes to the bathroom. “I knew you would ask that,” Cynthia responds, saying “no one’s afraid” to ask such an intimate question.

“My answer is that nobody uses just their fingers to wipe their backside,” she says. “You use tissue, correct? And you wipe!”

When he asked if she was annoyed or offended by the question, Cynthia admits she's "annoyed by it."

“I'm, like, 'Come on, guys,' ” she says. “But I get it, but it's also, like, ‘I'm a functioning adult, and I've never walked around smelling like, you know…'"

Theo Wargo/Getty Images

The actress has proved she's nothing if not honest this fall, going viral for saying "thank goodness" the actresses who auditioned with her for Glinda didn't land the role and for vocalizinghow much a fan edit of the Wicked movie poster offended her (she later admitted she should have texted her friends instead of posting on social media).

Now, this question was very weird to me for a few reasons. Not only does it have nothing to do with the film, but Dax asking Cynthia about her bathroom habits gives me a similar feeling to the one I got watching that male interviewer ask Scarlett Johansson about her underwear during Avengers: Age of Ultron press. Just...what is the reason? Plus, the fact Cynthia has also been vocal about how much she values her nails as a part of Black culture only makes the question (and the fact the nails feel like, no pun intended, the butt of the joke) weirder.

"Here’s the thing," Cynthia tells Dax before switching topics. "There are people who do not have nails who need to check how they’re wiping." Get 'em girl!

Nicole Kidman is, as the kids say, mothering. She's giving fans plenty of movies and TV shows to pick from while we wait for the next seasons of Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect StrangersA Family Affair, Expats, The Perfect Couple (and the AMC intro, of course). Her newest movie Babygirl comes from A24, and the steamy drama is mixing work and pleasure. Pour yourself a glass of wine for this one, folks.

Scroll down to learn more about Babygirl — and to watch the HOT new trailer!

What is the plot of Babygirl?

A24

Babygirl Plot

In Babygirl, Nicole Kidman plays Romy, a powerful CEO struggling to hold her perfect persona together. Her marriage to Jacob has never provided with much pleasure, despite the fact he's caring and artistic. But when Romy meets a young intern named Samuel, and feels immediately drawn to him, the two begin a torrid affair.

And filming scenes with Harry Dickinson got so intense, Kidman said she literally had to take breaks. “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more,'” she told the Sun. “Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life!”

But the fact the movie was made by women empowered Kidman — and gave her a sense of freedom. "Doing this subject matter in the hands of the woman that wrote the script, that's directing it and is a really great actress herself — we became one in a weird way, which I'd never had with a director before," Kidman says in a statement. "When you're working with a woman on this subject matter, you can share everything with each other.”

"I really decided in the beginning, I want to make a sexual film, just as sexual as all these films that I've always admired so much," adds writer-director-producer Halina Reijn, "but now I'm going to do it completely through female eyes. What does that mean and what does that look like?”

When is the Babygirl release date?

A24

Babygirl Release Date

Babygirl made its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, but you can watch the movie in theaters December 25, 2024.

Who's in the Babygirl cast?

A24

Babygirl Cast

The cast of Babygirl includes Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Sophie Wilde, and Antonio Banderas.

What has Nicole Kidman said about making Babygirl?

Amy Sussman/Getty Images

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Nicole Kidman revealed Babygirl is the most "exposing" film she's done because she's “made some films that are pretty exposing, but not like this.”

“It left me raggedm" Kidman says. "At some point I was like, I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time I was compelled to do it...This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world.”

“I felt very exposed as an actor, as a woman, as a human being,” she continues. “I had to go in and go out like, I need to put my protection back on. What have I just done? Where did I go? What did I do?”

What does babygirl energy mean?

A24

"Babygirl" is a term of endearment that's usually applied to a man (you've probably heard it describe Pedro Pascal or Paul Mescal). When someone is giving babygirl energy, they're kind, cute, and disarming. And considering Babygirl plays with power dynamics, we could be guessing who the "babygirl" in question is up until the very end.
