These Geometric Floral Mobiles Are Like Jewelry for Your Walls

When you mix geometric shapes, metallics and flowers, you’ve got yourself a winning combination. These geometric floral mobiles add a bright pop to any rustic interior, or a touch of minimalist decor to the most eclectic of rooms. Clustered together and covered in fresh flowers, they also make a statement wedding centerpiece that will leave your guests in awe. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to build these beautiful himmeli-inspired sculptures, and how to use your skills from our Flower Arranging Online Class to deck them out!

You can match the blooms used in these floral mobiles to the bouquet or floral centerpieces.

I mean, how can you resist making these for every room in your house? It’s like jewelry for your walls!

Materials:

– brass and copper tube stock

– fishing line

– wood beads

– brass and copper wire

– rope

– fresh or faux flowers

– scissors

– pliers

This pyramid shape is the perfect beginner-level himmeli. Once you’ve tackled this shape, you’re guaranteed to want to explore more complex ones!

PYRAMID

Cut your tube stock down to eight pieces. We chose to cut four pieces about twelve inches long, and four pieces about seven inches long. You can adjust the dimensions according to how large you’d like your sculpture to be.

When you finish cutting the tube stock, you’ll need to re-open the tube to run the wire through. Do this by pinching the mouth of the tube with your pliers.

You should have a total of eight pieces.

Begin by stringing one of the longer pieces of tube onto the wire.

Then string a short piece of tube onto the wire, followed by a long piece of tube. You should be able to make a triangle.

String on another long piece of tube, and then string on a short one. Arrange the tubes in the formation shown above to make the construction easier.

Now we can create some structure. We’ll connect the two shorter pieces to create the base of the pyramid. Trim the wire and leave about two inches, then wrap it around the joint between the adjacent long and short tubes. Repeat these steps with three longer pieces to create the point of the pyramid.

Set your partially constructed pyramid aside, and string the remaining short tubes onto wire. These remaining tubes will be used to finish the base of the pyramid. Wrap one end of the wire around one joint of your partially constructed pyramid, and wrap the other end around the other joint to make a square base.

The last step of constructing the pyramid is to add the final long piece of tube. String the remaining long tube onto wire, leaving enough wire on both ends to connect it to the rest of the structure.

Connecting the last long tube should leave you with a pyramid.

Knot the rope onto the pyramid and string wood beads onto the rope to add a nice natural contrast to the metal.

For this next step, pick up your favorite flower varietals. Coordinate the size of your blooms with the size of your mobile. Use fresh flowers for events like weddings and outdoor parties. For home decor, use faux flowers. Take our Flower Arranging Online Class to learn basic skills on choosing the right blooms, and how to properly process flowers.

Bundle a few pieces of foliage and position them onto the structure. Secure the bundle onto the structure by wrapping it with wire.

This sculpture has added movement that makes it extra mesmerizing. Three of these hung in a row is all you need to create some seriously impactful decor.

DOUBLE TRIANGLE

To create this double triangle sculpture, you’ll need three long pieces and three short pieces of tube. Size the tubes according to how large you want your mobile to be. A good rule of thumb is to make the smaller tubes about half the length of the long tubes. We cut ours down to twelve inches for the long pieces, and six inches for the short pieces.

String the three long pieces of tube onto the wire and arrange the tubes into a triangle. Pull the pieces tight along the wire to create a taut hold, and twist the two ends of the wire together.

Repeat these steps with the shorter tubes to make the small triangle.

Tie the small triangle to the larger triangle using a piece of fishing wire.

Process and bundle your flowers, then secure them onto the mobile by wrapping the stems with wire. Knot some rope onto the mobile, and add a few wood beads for a natural contrast to the metal tubes. You’re all done!

Recycle these mobiles for any event by switching to flowers that are in season.

I've always loved a pop of blue, red, or yellow in an otherwise neutral space. And while I admire anyone who can masterfully combine all three, blue has always been my clear favorite. Now, IKEA has officially crowned 'Electric Blue' as their 2025 Color of the Year. Inspired by the seas and skies, Electric Blue is a hue that IKEA describes as “contemplative and calm, yet versatile enough for modern and traditional spaces.”

Whether you’re looking to refresh a bedroom, energize a living room, or add a cool pop to your kitchen, this happy, bold shade delivers in the form of wall art, plush throws, or statement-making furniture. The best part? It plays well with others. Pair it with sunny yellows, vibrant oranges, soft lavenders, or even a daring hot pink. Will you be embracing this blue wave in 2025? From rugs and pillows to accessories and more, here are our top picks to embrace the new year with a splash of blue.

Sydney Sweeney isn't afraid to clap back at body shamers, and she's pretty dang good at it. After pictures of Sydney in a bikini (in her own backyard) leaked, trolls started calling her horrible names and even questioning if she was pregnant — and Sydney had the best response.

The Eden and Euphoria actress posted a video of the hate comments before following up with a montage of her insane training regimen for her new Christy Martin biopic. The new movie follows the professional boxer, who also survived a murder attempt from her husband James Martin. I'm sweating just looking at the photos, and thanks to Syd's powerhouse response to those haters, I'm even more excited to see the movie than I was.

Here's everything you need to know about Sydney Sweeney's new Christy Martin movie.

What is the female boxer movie in 2024?

The Christy Martin movie hasn't received an official title yet, but we do know director David Michôd is known for films with shorter titles. Plus, after The Iron Claw, I'm wondering if the movie will take inspiration from some iconic boxing moves, like The Knockout.

In addition to Sydney Sweeney we'll see Ben Foster play Christy's husband James Martin, Merritt Weaver, Katy O’Brien, Ethan Embry, Jess Gabor, Chad L. Coleman and Tony Cavalero.

Why are they making a movie about Christy Martin?

The new Christy Martin biopic is coming on the heels of A Complete Unknown (about Bob Dylan) and the forthcoming Bruce Springsteen's Deliver Me From Nowhere movie. The swell of biopics offers a whole new perspective on figures we only think we know, as well as inspiration by showing them overcome serious challenges.

“Well the cat’s out of the bag thanks to some paps in bushes so here’s a little BTS from my film I’m working on right now,” Sydney Sweeney said in an Instagram post. “Over the past few months, I’ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman — a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring. Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength, and hope, and I’m honored to step into her shoes to share her powerful story with you all. more to come soon :)."

“I grappled and did kickboxing from 12-19 years old," Sydney also told Deadline. "I’ve been itching to get back into the ring, train, and transform my body. Christy’s story isn’t a light one, it’s physically and emotionally demanding, there’s a lot of weight to carry. But I love challenging myself.”

“I have a history of making movies about damaged men and I’d been wanting to make a film about a woman with a ferocious energy inside her," director David Michôd added. "When I came across the Christy Martin story two years ago I knew I’d found it. Her ferocity is intelligible and justifiable and audiences will crave it because of the circumstances she was forced to endure."

Was Christy Martin a good boxer?

Yes, Christy Martin was definitely a good boxer — she has 49 wins, 7 losses, and 3 draws, with 31 wins by knockout (no big deal). And in 2020, she also joined the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

The White Lotus season 3 is finally on its way, and it is, without a doubt, one of my most-anticipated 2025 TV shows. And we finally have an official release date! The new 8-episode season is coming even sooner than I could have hoped for, and there are plenty of sexy surprises in store.

In addition to the highly-anticipated return of Natasha Rothwell's Belinda, we're also going to meet characters played by Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Aimee Lou Wood. Talk about a stacked cast! I can't wait to watch the new episodesnext year but the first teaser will definitely hold us over.

Here's the first teaser trailer for the next season of the show — and The White Lotus season 3 release date!

'The White Lotus' season 3 trailer teases both pain and pleasure.

The White Lotus season 3 is coming February 16, 2025. This season we're headed to Thailand (after season 1 took us to Hawaii and season 2 took us to Italy), but amidst the stress-management meditation and incredible food, our cast is dealing with plenty of secrets, testing their limits throughout their week-long vacation.

"Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure," says the teaser trailer voiceover. "But they get there only to find more pain." The montage of late-night parties and unsettling shots like Parker Posey staring down the camera (and someone grilling a live crab until it catches on fire??) have me convinced The White Lotus season 3 is going to serve us an insane helping of both pain and pleasure.

We also get shots of Patrick Schwarzenegger lounging by the pool, Jason Isaacs taking a paranoid stroll through the jungle, and a coupled-up Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins celebrating the fact their vacation didn't kill them.

And creator Mike White says 'The White Lotus' season 3 is going to be bigger than ever.

We know that The White Lotus season 3 is going to be the biggest season yet, thanks to interviews with the creator and crew. “It’s going to be a supersized White Lotus,” creator Mike White said in an interview with EW. “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing…I’m super excited about the content of the season.”

And he's not the only one. Natasha Rothwell told PEOPLE that "White Lotus is going to give you a run for your money.”

"It's an excellent season and people are going to be very pleased," she continues. There's always something special about a third season thanks to the combination of familiarity and brand-new adventures, and the seductive intrigue The White Lotus season 3 is already proving my point.

Season 3 is always my favorite season of a show — especially considering Gilmore Girls Season 3 Is Simply The Best, And No TV Show Has Matched It Since. Check out our weekend email send for more TV news.

1923 season 2 isn't premiering until February 23 but Paramount continues to feed us with new images and teasers, and I am counting down the days until I can watch the new episodes. Creator Taylor Sheridan's new installment will reunite us with cast members like Harrison Ford's Jacob Dutton, Helen Mirren's Cara Dutton, Brandon Sklenar's Spencer Dutton, and Julia Schlaepfer's Alexandra (and hopefully reunite them with each other) as they fight to protect Yellowstone ranch — and the brand new 1923 season 2 trailer just teased even more and I don't know how I'll be able to wait until February.

Here's every detail you missed in the new 1923 season 2 trailer.

Amidst the chaos of '1923' season 2, Brandon Sklenar's Spencer "knows what to do."

"Our whole way of life is under attack," Harrison Ford says in the new teaser, while Helen Mirren cocks a shotgun and both Darren Mann's Jack Dutton and Michelle Randolph's Elizabeth Strafford Dutton look on. After the end of season 1, we already know that Jerome Flynn's Banner Creighton and Timothy Dalton's Donald Whitfield are determined to punish the Duttons — and there's no better way to do that than take their ranch.

Meanwhile Spencer, who was split up from Alex during their transatlantic voyage to London, is the only hope for protecting the ranch. He promises, "I know what to do," presumably while on the phone with a mysterious someone. I'm really hoping it's Cara because after the absolute distress they put her through last season, I want her and Spencer to be able to talk! Give them some room to breathe Taylor Sheridan!

We also get glimpses of Alex running through the ship (remember, she's still basically trapped in the middle of the ocean), and based on all the cowboys who bring weapons to the train station, it looks like Spencer could be in danger before he even gets to the ranch.

And it's going to be entertaining until the very end.

While Yellowstone's series finale isn't the end for Beth and Rip (they're getting a spinoff!), it looks like 1923 season 2 will be the end for Jacob, Cara, and Spencer. “No, no, it’s bookend," Brandon Skelnar said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in May 2023. "It’s still limited, but I think of it as one piece — there’s just a split in the middle, but it’s all one piece. It will conclude."

But don't worry — Brandon also promises season 2 will totally satisfy your TV drama cravings. “I can confidently say that it’s going to be absolutely incredible,” Brandon told Forbes ahead of It Ends With Us. “The tone shifts a lot and it’s definitely a bit darker. It’s very beautiful.” I can't wait to see more episodes (even if two season of this show will never be enough for me). Good thing we have Beth & Rip's spinoff and Taylor's new show The Madison to tide us over!
