These Homemade Butterfinger, Snickers, + Kit Kat Bars Have Less Than 5 Ingredients

'Tis the season for all things candy, and we are in the mood for something sweet. We wanted to figure out how to make our favorite candy bars, both because it's fun and healthier that way, and we have a few tricks to show you how to make them too. It's simpler than it sounds to make these delicious candy bars and they're the perfect addition to our collection of spooky sweets!

We took on our 3 favorite candy bars — Butterfinger, Snickers, and Kit Kats — and limited each recipe to 5 ingredients or less…You won’t believe the awesome trick we discovered to make great tasting Butterfinger-inspired bars. Keep reading to find out!

Butterfinger Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Line a pan with foil. Melt candy corn in microwave in 30-second intervals until completely melted.
  2. Stir in peanut butter and heat for another 30 seconds. Mixture should become firm and homogenous after stirring. Form mixture into a long rectangular block on top of foil and freeze for two hours. Cut block into bars.
  3. Melt chocolate and dip each bar until completely coated. Let candy bars firm up in the refrigerator for one hour before serving.

Snickers Bars

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (not natural)
  • 1 cup soft caramels
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Line a pan with foil. Mix together marshmallow cream and peanut butter to create the nougat layer; spread into a rectangular layer about 1/2-inch thick. Place in freezer.
  2. Melt caramels in microwave in 30-second intervals until creamy. Stir in peanuts and heat for another 30 seconds. Spread mixture over the nougat layer. Set aside to harden for about 30 minutes.
  3. Melt chocolate and dip each bar until completely coated. Let candy bars firm up in the refrigerator for one hour before serving.

Kit Kat Bars

Ingredients:

  • 2 sleeves graham crackers
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Line a pan with foil. Melt chocolate chips and spread a thick layer of chocolate into a rectangle over a portion of the foil. Place 4 graham crackers on top of chocolate layer for the first Kit Kat layer. Cover graham crackers with chocolate and stack with another graham layer. Repeat one more time so that you have 3 layers of grahams. Cover with chocolate. Allow to set up in the refrigerator for one hour.
  2. Remove and carefully slice into thin bars.
  3. Reheat chocolate as necessary and dip each bar until completely coated. Let bars set up in the refrigerator for one hour before serving. So delicious and surprisingly easy to make!

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly may not be together, but they have a lot to celebrate now that their daughter made her grand debut! Machine Gun Kelly eagerly announced her arrival on Instagramby sharing a small black and white video of him holding her toes.

No matter where he and Megan stand, the rapper made it clear he's excited their daughter was born safe and sound. The sweetest part of his caption is him calling the newborn a "little celestial seed."

He also explained that Travis Barker helped welcome their daughter through music, adding, "We composed the score of the birth. What an epic journey. Praise God."

We also love positive the comments on the announcement post are! Even MTV couldn't resist commenting by writing, "congratulations ♥️."

And get this, Megan's birth was aided by music. "We composed the score of the birth. What an epic journey. Praise God," Kelly told E! News. If you're wondering whose music they were listening to, it's none other than Travis Barker!

Did Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox break up?

TMZ reported Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly broke up on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. The pair allegedly split on Thanksgiving weekend in Vail, Colorado given "upsetting material" Megan found on MGK's phone. Apparently they haven't been together since the breakup, with MGK going as far as to leave their trip early.

Megan announced she was pregnant on Instagram a month before they allegedly broke up, on November 11, 2024. According to PEOPLE, MGK was "basically telling everyone he knows" about the baby, and that the pair is "doing well" in general. Now, it seems like the tables have really turned in the latter regard.

However, an exclusive source told PEOPLE, "Their relationship has always been bumpy. They love each other but don't have compatible personalities." The source explained that Megan and MGK are "both hot-heads, dramatic and stubborn," noting that they've "worked things out" when they broke up in the past. "When they're good together, they're great," they said. "They will very likely get back together."

PEOPLE reported that Megan and MGK announced their engagement on Instagram on January 12, 2022. However, the Jennifer's Body star only features her pregnancy announcement on Instagram now — and while MGK doesn't have a post on his grid either, you can still see his video of her engagement ring here!

Ryan Murphy's New Show Just Found Its Lead

True crime fans have been all over Ryan Murphy and FX's American Crime Story, an anthology series chronicling everything from O.J. Simpson's trial to the Monica Lewinsky & Bill Clinton sex scandal. And it won't be long before we're able to tune into American Love Story, an anthology series that follows different public romances that gripped the world. Up first: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. And we just got our first casting announcement. Sarah Pidgeon will play Carolyn!

What is American Love Story?

American Love Story is FX's next anthology series based on true love stories the world can't get enough of (hopefully we'll see a Princess Diana season soon!). The first season will follow John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, who worked as Calvin Klein's director of publicity and began dating JFK Jr. in 1994. They got married on September 21, 1996.

After some super intense and extensive media & paparazzi attention, their relationship began to feel some tension that ultimately ended in tragedy when John's private plane crashed into the ocean off Martha's Vineyard in 1999. Both John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette died in the crash, along with Carolyn's sister Lauren.

Who's in the American Love Story cast?

Sarah Pidgeon just joined the American Love Story cast as Carolyn Bessette. And this is literally the perfect casting — I know Sarah has the acting chops to pull off the role, but she also looks just like Carolyn!

Is Carolyn Bessette Kennedy alive?

No, sadly Carolyn Bessette Kennedy passed away in a plane crash on July 16, 1999 off the coast of Massachusetts. At John F. Kennedy Jr.'s memorial his uncle Ted Kennedy said, "We dared to think, in that other Irish phrase, that this John Kennedy would live to comb gray hair, with his beloved Carolyn by his side. But like his father, he had every gift but length of years."

"For a thousand days, he was a husband who adored the wife who became his perfect soul mate," Ted continued. "John's father taught us all to reach for the moon and the stars. John did that in all he did -- and he found his shining star when he married Carolyn Bessette."

We'll also be able to see Sarah Pidgeon in the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, coming this summer.
