How I Discovered a New Perspective Along the Great Wall of China

The sky was a vibrant blue when I awoke in Beijing. It was the last day of my trip and, though I was still experiencing jetlag from my flight from New York City a week earlier, I awoke even earlier than usual. Too excited to sleep, I watched the sun rise over the Wangjing Soho, a Zaha Hadid building outside the window of my hotel room in the Chinese capital. Today was the day I would be seeing the Great Wall of China.

I was staying at the Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing, a sophisticated hotel that blends modern architecture with traditional Chinese influences, a fusion of old and new that reflects the ever-evolving city itself. The indoor bamboo garden, combined with the evocative art of Chisa Imamura (whose reflective “phenomenal of water” resembles droplets of rain), makes the space to resemble an urban forest. It’s a serenely elegant oasis within Beijing’s bustling Koreatown neighborhood.

Today, the hotel was organizing our trip to one of the most famous sections of the Great Wall: Mutianyu. Located roughly an hour north of Beijing, this mountainous region in Huariou offers iconic vistas of the Great Wall.

When I ascended in a chairlift that morning up to the Great Wall, one that had once carried Bill Clinton, I listened to the history and legends of the 3,000 years of history of the Great Wall.

The scene at the foot of the Great Wall of China was full of both the magical and the everyday. There is a Burger King at the Great Wall of China; there is also a chairlift and a toboggan course. It’s a site that not only has to be seen to be believed but also needs to be truly felt to be understood.

I looked out the window of the chairlift headed to the top of the mountain and appreciated the sweeping views of the countryside. The smog had followed me from Xi’an to Beijing, and I hadn’t seen the sun since I’d arrived.

Chuck Zhang, the marketing communications manager of the Hyatt Regency was joining us on our tour today, and it would be the first time he had actually seen the Great Wall, despite having grown up in China. Though I was incredulous, I couldn’t recall the last time I’d visited the Statue of Liberty, or even if I ever had at all — I’m assuming on a school trip, but who knows?

Perhaps these monuments are too close to our lived experience (geographically and historically) to be appreciated as locals. The story too much your own to value it. One thing we did value, however, was one another.

“Do you think this will beat the record of Kylie’s selfie?” Chuck asked, holding up his iPhone for a picture.

We had become immediate best friends. The friendships I made in China were nothing short of life-affirming, a contrast to the life-denying historical sites I explored, whose very age and size seemed to announce that they would outlive me. Case in point: the Great Wall, which would stretch from NYC to LA and back on American soil.

The three most dramatic times of building occurred in the 7th century B.C., when the wall was built to protect the warring Chinese kingdoms from each other; 21 B.C., when Qin unified China and linked the wall for the first time; and 2 A.D., during the strife of the Hun Dynasty.

Though I’m usually woefully underwhelmed by museums, somehow, the history came alive to me at the Great Wall. This sense of scale extends to the entire Chinese culture, in my opinion. We may worry about what our grandparents think of us, but in China, you’re worried about ancestors. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of history, by the vastness, by the sheer fact I was on the other side of the world, in China, in the very spot I’d always dreamed I would one day be.

But, when I asked for my picture to be taken, to preserve this moment, I felt instantly sad. This was my big reveal, the bucket list, millennial experience preserved for posterity on Instagram and shared across every possible social media. Looking at the picture, I felt small and trivial. The Wall looked smaller in the picture, and I did too. By freezing the moment, I felt it slipping away into the past somehow. I felt its impermanence, my own impermanence.

Walking towards the toboggan, to ride down from the Great Wall (which is as thrillingly fun as it seems), I felt a wave of anxiety wash over me. Would I ever be in this part of the world again? How lucky was I to be there at that moment, was I savoring it correctly?

Though now it’s relatively easier to visit China, Hyatt’s expansion into the country — along with the knowledgeable, friendly staff at Hyatt Regency Beijing Wangjing and Grand Hyatt Xi’an to schedule outings and translate — definitely helps. After the paperwork of coordinating my tourist visa (not as hard as it sounds, and certainly not as hard as Yelp reviewers made it seem, as always), and the hectic atmosphere of Chinese airports, the Hyatt properties felt like a welcome taste of home overseas.

When everything else felt so chaotic and surreal, it was nice that I had people who (literally) spoke my language. Or, rather, listened patiently while I attempted to speak theirs. (Though I did finally master, Tsieh Tsieh, which means thank you, and is the number one phrase you should know, of course). Things weren’t quite so lost in translation.

It’s trendy to mock the idea of a “bucket list,” like it’s all about ticking off some aspirational goals to show off to your frenemies and friends. But when it’s a feeling that predates the term “bucket list,” I say: Run towards it.

You will be happy you did. Well, I don’t know if happy is the word, but you will feel whole. And that whole may be smaller than you think, and maybe that’s perfectly okay. Better than okay, even. Human.

I truly believe that there are two types of people in this world: ones who like nice flights, and ones who like nice hotels. I, for one, am the latter of the two. I will fly the absolutely cheapest, tiniest airline you could possibly imagine....but I love a good hotel. And honestly, it works out because I ultimately save money on the flight and put it towards my lodging. In doing this, I've stayed at quite a few fun hotels over the years, from international destinations to right in my hometown of LA. These are worldwide, some of the best hotels out there that you should definitely add to your travel wishlist too. These 10 nice hotels will make you feel like you're living in a movie, so keep reading to see all the places that will make you wanna book a flightASAP!

Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or

Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or in Eze, France

Tucked away in a small medieval town in the South of France called Eze is the dreamy 5-star hotel, Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or. This hotel truly makes you feel like you're living in the movie The Bucket List — maybe because it was also featured in the film, but still. The picturesque views of the ocean, stunning amenities like the three cliffside pools, and the sprawling gardens all make for the perfect hotel and the reason why it's my number one nice hotel I've ever stayed in.

Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or is also one of the cheaper 5-star hotels I've stayed in, with rooms sometimes costing as low as $450 a night in the off-season. While this is still expensive, it's surprising when you see all that the property has to offer alongside the spectacular views and prime location.

Villa d'Este

Villa d'Este in Lake Como, Italy

Lake Como was another favorite destination of mine, and while you can't go wrong with any of the hotels on the lake, Villa d'Este was an favorite of mine. The service is simply unmatched, along with the to-die-for views of the water. Every day, breakfast is served right out on the patio with this stunning, serene view. The grounds are hundreds of years old, with acres of gardens across the property, so you truly can never be bored. The whole hotel just exudes old fashioned luxury, and it almost makes you feel like you have been transported to another time.

While Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or is my top choice, I have to say that Villa d'Este has the best service out of all the hotels I've stayed at — they truly treat you like royalty! Plus, there's a floating pool on the lake...so you really can't say no to that, right?!

Rosewood Miramar

Rosewood Miramar in Santa Barbara, CA

You will NOT want to miss out on staying here! The Rosewood Miramar is like stepping straight into a Nancy Meyers movie. It's a beautiful hotel right on the beach with some of the prettiest decor and interiors that you'll want to replicate in your own home (trust me, I've tried). The amenities include a pool right by the beach, plus top-notch service — a must for a nice hotel! I love this ocean-side stay for a relaxing, coastal vacay!

The Savoy

The Savoy in London, England

I particularly love The Savoy in London for their incredible spa. They offer a lot of fantastic deals where you can get a room, breakfast, and two spa treatments with your booking! I'd highly recommend this hotel for their stunning decor and luxury spa! I'm sure it will be a much-needed break for some solid R&R to enjoy while vacationing to London.

Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace

Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palace in Versailles, France

Walking through the gates of Waldorf Astoria Trianon Palacewas like walking through Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. They have acres of gardens covered in flowers with the background being their massive chateau-style hotel. It was truly a remarkable stay! I adored eating breakfast in the garden room, and walking out to explore the grounds every morning. Plus, if you walk right out of the hotel gate, you'll waltz straight into the Palace of Versailles itself. So, it's proximity to all the tourist attractions nearby are super ideal! I loved the spa and amenities here, as well as looking out the large windows of our hotel room to see people riding horses right outside! This is a stunning stay that makes you feel like you're royalty in the countryside of your centuries-old chateau.

Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc

Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc in Antibes, France

Do you remember when Sofia Richie-Grainge broke the internet with her incredibly luxe wedding? Well, this was exactly where it all went down — the Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc!I adore this hotel for so many reasons: the service is amazing, the rooms are to die for, the pool is iconic, and the location is prime! It's located in the adorable town of Antibes, France where there's a cute village filled with restaurants, shopping, and lots of action! There is no shortage of things to do when you're at this hotel. An added bonus is that they have the Dior spa located at the hotel, so make sure to stop in for a Dior facial! ;)

Passalacqua

Passalacqua in Lake Como, Italy

This is another Lake Como hotel, but I had to add Passalacqua because it was recently named the #1 Hotel of the Year by The World's 50 Best! What I love about this hotel is the massive array of experiences they offer! To name a short few: private cinema screenings under the stars with canopy chairs, exquisite, Michelin-level fine dining, cooking classes, tennis lessons, and so many more! That's not even scratching the surface of this hotel. It's truly a remarkable place and a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so if you get the chance to stay here, definitely do it!

Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri

Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri in Rome, Italy

Perched right on the hill in Rome is this massive — and incredibly beautiful — 5-star hotel, Rome Cavalieri. The property truly speaks to the beauty of Italian architecture, design, and art. I mean, the art and decor adorning the walls is centuries old, and it seems like you're sitting right in the middle of a museum. The rooms have a gorgeous balcony that look out over the whole city of Rome, as well as the hotel's sprawling green garden. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and I still dream of their free massive buffet breakfast filled with the most divine pastries, meats, and cheeses. I love this hotel!

The Ritz Paris

The Ritz Paris in Paris, France

If you're like me, you've dreamed of staying at The Ritz Paris at least once in your life. It's a legendary, iconic hotel, with the famous Bar Hemingway located inside. Words can't describe how beautiful this hotel is as soon as you step through the doors. Everything from the rooms, to the location, down to the stunning (and large) lobby is everything you'd expect from The Ritz. It's another one of those once-in-a-lifetime stays that you definitely should try and go to! As Hemingway once said, "When I dream of afterlife in heaven, the action always takes place in the Paris Ritz."Couldn't have put it better myself, Ernest!

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, California

I've stayed at the Waldorf Beverly Hills many times (I'm a Hilton member so I often get to stay for free — thank you points!), and I will never get tired of it. The staff are some of the nicest people and truly go out of their way to help you with anything you need. This hotel also has one of my favorite amenities: the house car. At this hotel, they have a house car that will, for free, drop you anywhere within 10 minutes that you need to be. For example, one day I wanted to get bagel on Rodeo, so I thought I'd take the house car not knowing what kind it was...up pulled a blue phantom Rolls Royce with constellation ceilings and plush carpet. Everyone thought I was famous because who gets dropped off at a bagel shop in a Rolls Royce?! Well, I did — but only because it was free! So if that doesn't convince you to stay here then I don't know what will!

The #1 fall outerwear piece I've seen buzzing around fashion weeks, social media, and everyone's favorite influencers is the chore jacket — also known as the "barn" jacket. These stylish jackets not only pair really well with your typical jeans and boots combo, but also I loooove when they're styled with midi skirts and flats — you look takes on an amazing juxtaposition between masculine and feminine that just seems so chic!

After spending far too much time scrolling the internet to find the perfect chore jacket for myself, I rounded up 12 that fit the bill in different patterns, fabrics, and price-ranges, so there's something for everyone. Let's get into it!

What is a chore coat?

Dôen

Chore coats date back to the late 19th century where they first appeared in France, originally meant to be work coats that were able to withstand a lot of physical labor and work! So, durability and practicality was super important! That means lots of pockets for tools, and very thick fabric to endure the long work days.

Funnily enough, the name "chore jacket" actually just means for your household chores, so the definition itself is fairly straight forward. You would, simply, do your household chores around your house and land, while wearing the conveniently designed jacket — it's that simple!

If you're wondering what defines a modern chore coat then it would be: large pockets, thick fabric, corduroy collar, and a loose-fit to sit comfortably on the body.

Shop Our Favorite Chore Jackets Here!

Everlane

Everlane Barn Jacket

The Everlane Barn Jacket the quintessential chore jacket, and I love it paired with the matching khaki pants and suede bag. This one isn't too expensive, and it's still extremely high quality. The suede detailing on is a great touch as well! Grab this one if you're looking for a simple, good quality chore jacket!

J.Crew

J.Crew Denim Barn Jacket

This J.Crew barn jacket is the perfect shade of denim that I'm obsessing over this fall. J.Crew continues to killit lately, so you can't go wrong with any of their options! This denim chore jacket would look great paired with a Canadian tuxedo like above, or even a black midi dress.

Gap

Gap Chore Jacket

Gap has so many good, affordable options available right now, and this chore jacket is no different! For only $60, you can have your new staple, fall jacket! Plus, it's an extra 20% off at the moment, so definitely add it to cart while it's still in stock.

Dôen

Dôen Pascual Jacket

This jacket from Dôen is all I can think about lately — it's simply perfection. While it's currently sold out, they'll restock it soon. Definitely keep an eye out so you can grab this one right away! It would look great overtop any of the fall dresses from Dôen we're currently obsessed with!

J.Crew

J.Crew Short Barn Jacket

I love this cropped chore jacket for the perfect light layer — it's just right for those days that have a light, fall breeze. The cut and shape of this option is super flattering, and I can just picture it with a skirt and sweater on a Sunday afternoon stroll. I definitely plan on hitting "purchase" for this one, and wearing it daily! It's a fave of mine.

Anthropologie

The Heritage Barn Jacket

The relaxed fit of this cotton chore jacket is really calling to me, especially with the above tomboy styling. The floral skirt, and baseball cap help to really pull the whole look together. This one also has the traditional corduroy collar as well as corduroy cuffs on the sleeves, which is such a nice touch!

Mango

Mango Checkered Parka

If you're looking for something that makes more of a statement, then look no further than this adorable option from Mango! It has a corduroy collar, checkered pattern, and gold button detailing that looks SO high end. Throw on some chunky boots or loafers with this statement chore jacket and you're good to go!

Eileen Fisher

Eileen Fisher Organic Corduroy Jacket

Corduroy and suede are two fabrics I absolutely love for the fall and winter this year. They add a lot of texture to your outfit which can help give a more simple look some flair. This chore jacket from Eileen Fisher will be a staple for years and years to come, because of how high quality and classic it is. A 10/10 for me!

J.Crew

J.Crew Short Barn Jacket Brown

Another cute, cropped barn jacket, but in this gorgeous shade of mocha brown! This above outfit is the perfect example of how to style a chore jacket, too. Jeans, white tee, gold jewelry, and some brown, suede boots! You'll have the epitome of the perfect, fall outfit!

Quince

Quince Denim Chore Jacket

Another denim option, because I just can't get enough! This chore jacket comes in a much lighter shade of denim, which will help to pair with some of your summer pieces that you want to fold into your fall wardrobe. Quince has some amazing pieces that I've loved in the past, so I can't wait to try this one!

Mango

Mango Pocket Parka

You could honestly get your entire autumnal wardrobe at Mango because the fabulous pieces are truly endless! They do an amazing job at combining timeless classics with current trending pieces — and this parka is one of them! It gives off the vibe of a chore jacket, but in a slightly more casual form of parka!

Levi's

Levi's White Chore Jacket

As you may know, I'm a huge advocate for white in the winter and fall, specifically creams! This all-white chore jacket from Levi's is currently on sale, so you should grab it while you can! I would say style it with an all-white look like a cream skirt and flats!

Chances are you're packing for your long holiday weekend, with a swimsuit or two stowed away in your travel tote bag. While you're trying to remember if you packed your new TSA-approved bottle of sunscreen and the cream blush you can't live without, it's a good idea to make sure your attitude is in check, too.

I like to believe that most people aren't intentionally inconsiderate while on vacation, but it doesn't mean none of us are immune to doing things that annoy other people. Whether it's accidentally kicking sand in someone's face because you're running to catch a flying volleyball, or screaming loudly next to someone who's reading their latest book club find, here are 8 rude behaviors to avoid at the beach.

Rude Behaviors To Avoid At The Beach

Ron Lach

Beach Blanket Battles

Sigh. I'm not sure what it is, but we're all guilty of claiming 'our' space in public. Sometimes it's harmless, but there are those who take things to the extreme by making sure no one gets remotely close to a space they're interested in. We've definitely seen this in parking lots, but it can at the beach too.

If you feel like you don't want someone close to you on the beach, don't be petty by positioning your beach blanket in a way that doesn't leave room for them. You can either verbally express that you'd like space, or you can try to find a spot that's not crowded.

You and other visiting beach goers don't actually own the beach, so try not to act like it.

Ron Lach

The Loud Music Hog

I don't know too many people who dislike music. It's something that unites people from all walks of life (hello, have you been to a Taylor Swift or Beyoncé concert), having an almost transcendent effect.

However, this doesn't mean that people on the beach want to hear your summer playlist when they might be trying to relax. Also, you don't want to be that person who has no regards for kids if you're listening to something that's on the more explicit side. We know that kids will be introduced to a number of things, but don't be an a-hole just for the sake of "living your life."

Unless there's an actual approved beach party going on, it's best to pop in your Airpods to avoid disturbing others.

Pavel Danilyuk

The Inconsiderate Splashers

Splashing in the water brings out everyone's inner kid, but everyone might not appreciate being splashed if they're trying to sunbathe, read a book, or just...in general. Some people might be forgiving, but it could irritate others.

As a courtesy, move your splash war away from large crowds so that you're not disturbing others.

KoolShooters

Heavy Smokers

You're an adult who can do whatever they want, I know. The thing is that people don't always want to smell the residue of someone smoking while they're trying to relax.

Never mind the fact the people may want to smell fresh air, but you also don't know who could have asthma. I'm sure you don't want to be the person who accidentally triggers someone's asthma attack from your second-hand smoke.

Kampus Production

Parents Who Let Their Kids Do Destructive Things

I'm a parent who has a busy body for a toddler, so I get that kids need to burn excess energy. However, it doesn't hurt to teach them how to be considerate of others. There's nothing cute or funny about letting your kids disrupt a volleyball game that's not theirs, or smash someone's sandcastle just for fun.

If it helps, try to come up with fun activities the entire family can do together. You can build your own sandcastles, fly kites, or even go on a beach scavenger hunt!

Cassiano Psomas

People Who Ignore Their Dog's Poop

Every living thing has to use the restroom at some point, so no one's gonna be mad that your dog has to do their business. The issue is that some people refuse to pick up their dog's poop in public for whatever reason.

If you willingly let your dog go to the bathroom on the beach and pretend like you don't see it, that's pretty annoying. I'm sure whoever's going for a stroll on the sand won't appreciate stepping in a fresh (or old) pile of poop. Just pick it up and toss it out, okay?

Yan Krukau

Parents Who Leave Their Kids Dirty Diapers On The Beach Or In The Ocean

I don't have much to say about this except please spare everyone. I don't know why people continue to do this, but it's unsanitary and extremely uncool. Find a trash can to dispose of their diapers or see if you can change them in a nearby restroom, but please don't subject others to your child's waste.

Gantas Vaičiulėnas

Excessive PDA

Freedom of speech is one of those things that people can really try to take too far — especially when it comes to PDA. If you're headed to the beach to have a handsy makeout session with your S.O., don't. No one wants to see (or hear) the two of you getting hot and heavy while they're trying to relax. Leave that for a hotel room or the beach house you're staying at.

Don't forget to check out these bad work habits before you head back to the office after your beach trip!

When I finished the first season of The Last Thing He Told Me, I was convinced we'd seen the end of Bailey and Hannah's story (especially considering the show was originally a limited series). But it looks like Apple TV+ and Reese Witherspoon had other plans. Thanks to author Laura Dave publishing a sequel in 2025, The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 is officially coming! Here's everything we know about the new season (and some more easy books to read while you wait).

What has the cast & crew said about season 2?

Apple TV+

During an interview with The Today Show, author Laura Dave revealed The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 will actually start filming before the second book is published! ""We're starting to shoot in few weeks, which is just wild. I can't believe we're here again," she says. "I sat down with everyone, I walked them through, I have a whole draft."

Is there a 2nd season of The Last Thing He Told Me?

Apple TV+

Yes, Apple TV+ renewed The Last Thing He Told Me for a second season on March 25, 2024 (via Variety). While the series was originally limited to Laura Dave's first novel, the author's sequel book will provide the plotline for The Last Thing He Told Me season 2!

When is The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 coming out?

Apple TV+

Laura Dave's new book (we don't have a title quite yet!) is set to be released in 2025, so we'll see The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 in 2025 at the earliest. Seeing as filming for season 1 started May 3, 2022 and the show hit Apple TV+ on April 14, 2023, we'll have a better idea of the season 2 release date once filming starts.

Who's going to be in The Last Thing He Told Me season 2 cast?

Apple TV+

Jennifer Garner, Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and David Morese will all return for The Last Thing He Told Me season 2. Jennifer is also producing!

“Like so many people, I fell for Hannah on page one of Laura Dave’s gripping novel,” she says in a statement. “The move to actor and producer from reader and super fan was delicious — and made even sweeter by collaborating with Laura, Josh, Reese and everyone at Hello Sunshine, as well as the amazing teams at Apple and 20th. Being part of this group, not to mention part of such a stellar cast, was a career highlight for me. I’m thrilled to get to tell more of Hannah’s story — I couldn’t have said yes more quickly to Season 2! These characters and their story mean so much to me, as I know they do to the many who have championed our show; we’re excited to give audiences even more with this next chapter.”

What is the summary of The Last Thing He Told Me?

Apple TV+

The Last Thing He Told Me follows a woodturner named Hannah, who's happily married to Owen. Her relationship with his daughter Bailey, however, is decidedly less happy. When Hannah wakes up one day to find Owen missing, and a note that says "Protect her" in his place, she and Bailey have to find out what happened to him — and why he left.

We don't know much about The Last Thing He Told Me season 2, but at the end of season 1, Laura Dave told Entertainment Weekly that if we got to see a sequel, we'd get a better understanding of why Owen left the way he did.

How many episodes of The Last Thing He Told Me are out?

Apple TV+

You can watch all seven episodes of the first season on Apple TV+ now!

Are you excited for The Last Thing He Told Me season 2? Check out the rest of the New TV Shows coming out in 2024!

In a world where people are hopping onto strange food trends without hesitation, like making pizza with naan and customizing their morning coffees beyond repair, it’s amazing anyone could still be grossed out by food. Needless to say, we still have our limits… especially when it comes to those itty bitty white worms wiggling around in our pretty pink salmon fillets (HUH?). But before you swear off these healthy omega-3-rich fillets for good, let’s understand what these worms in salmon are, why they’re present, and why you don’t have to snub your fave lox at brunch this Sunday.

Monstruo Estudio

The white worms we occasionally spot in salmon fillets are parasites called roundworms. Though these worms are more noticeable in salmon due to the contrast in color, they can be found in many white fish too — they’re just camouflaged.

But we shouldn’t be freaking out.

Huy Phan / PEXELS

Despite the fact that our knee-jerk reaction is to panic and consider things contaminated, roundworms are as natural to fish as insects are to fruits and veggies. A teeny white worm in your salmon is the equivalent to an aphid, thrip, or mite in your recently harvested greens. Yes, it’s still yucky AF, but totally natural.

Valeria Boltneva / PEXELS

The good news is that roundworms don’t pose health risks when fish is thoroughly cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit, which is the FDA’s recommendation. When it comes to lightly preserved or raw fish — like sushi, sashimi, ceviche, or gravlax — as long as the product was commercially frozen to an internal temperature of -4 degrees Fahrenheit for at least seven days prior to preparation, parasites are terminated. (High five, fellow sushi lovers!)

Just be sure to avoid sketchy sushi joints; when you hear about people getting sick from eating at low-profile all-you-can-eat sushi spot, it’s because they aren’t handling their fish properly.

Lum3n / PEXELS

It is believed by some that wild-caught fish are more susceptible to roundworms due to the fact that they interact with an external ecosystem, while farmed fish are segregated from the wild and are fed pellets treated for parasites. This isn’t something *we* can confirm, but it’s food for thought nonetheless.

Mister Mister / PEXELS

If you really want to feast on fish but paranoia has now gotten the best of you, there is an at-home method you can try: fish candling. This method has you place a bright light beneath a fillet of fish so you can see the shadows of any worms present. You can then grab some tweezers and remove, then discard of the worms yourself. (This method obviously isn’t for the faint of heart.)

We say, thoroughly cook your fish and pretend worms never happened!

Would finding worms in your salmon deter you from eating it ever again? Let us know @BritandCo!
