ICE Detains Outspoken Women’s Health Activist Alejandra Pablos in “Silent Raid”

Reproductive justice activist Alejandra Pablos was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Wednesday during a routine visit with her immigration officer. According to her colleagues, it’s just the latest in a series of detentions of high-profile activist leaders.

As a vocal field coordinator for the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health (NLIRH), Pablos believes she was specifically targeted by ICE after leading chants at a January protest in Virginia outside the Department of Homeland Security.

During the protest, Pablos was taken into custody by local agents. Activists from the immigrant rights organization Mijente are petitioning for her release (with some 10,000 signatures already collected), and believe that an ICE agent alerted her deportation officer, who detained her when she voluntarily checked in with her immigration officer.

Pablos was a legal permanent resident in the US until a drug-related arrest required her to spend two years in an immigration detention center in Arizona. Because of that arrest, she must now regularly check in with an immigration officer, and is granted continued stay only at their discretion. Pablos is now being detained without the possibility of bond while she waits for a decision as to whether she can remain in the country or not. She has been working to receive asylum based on the dangers she says she would face due to her work as a political organizer in Mexico.

In the petition for her relief, activists at NLIRH describe Pablos detention as just the latest in what they say has become something of a pattern with ICE.

They point to Ravi Ragbir, an immigrant activist and the director of the New Sanctuary Coalition of New York City, who back in January was similarly detained at a routine check-in with his immigration officer. Pablos, NLIRH says, is the latest victim of a new ICE strategy.

“On behalf of the whole NLIRH family, we are enraged about the injustice that Alejandra has faced, and are undeterred in the fight for her release,” said NLIRH Executive Director Jessica González-Rojas in a press release. “We recognize that Alejandra’s situation is emblematic of a trend of the Trump administration’s relentless targeting of outspoken immigrant justice leaders. NLIRH will continue to fight for a world where all Latinxs can live with dignity, autonomy, and self-determination without fear of the injustice and inhumane practices of detention or deportation.”

This new method of surprise detention during voluntary check-in has been dubbed the “silent raid,” and those in the know say the tactic has been on the rise since Trump took office.

As for ICE, a spokesperson told the online publication Rewire News that it is not their policy to “arrest based on advocacy positions they hold or in retaliation for critical comments they make.”

That being said, ICE Executive Associate Director Matthew Albence made it clear in a statement to the online publication, “ICE will no longer exempt classes or categories of [unauthorized migrants] from potential enforcement. All of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention and — if found removable by final order — removal from the United States.”

Thanks to the eternal popularity of Gilmore Girls, we all know mother-daughter shows are some of the best around. And if you ask me, Ginny and Georgia are totally the next Rory and Lorelai. If you're looking for a new series to binge while getting cozy this winter, then look no further than Ginny & Georgia. It's got intrigue, it's got romance, it's got drama — which is exactly why it's one of the Netflix shows you should binge on a break!

Keep reading for everything you need to know about Ginny & Georgia season 3.

When does season 3 of Ginny & Georgia come out?

Brooke Palmer/Netflix

You can stream Ginny & Georgia on Netflix starting June 5, 2025.

What is Ginny & Georgia season 3 about?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia follows the titular mother-daughter duo (plus Ginny's little brother Austin) who move from Texas to Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the death of Georgia's husband. But while a new town, a new school, and new friends can be complicated on their own, things get even messier in season 2 when Ginny discovers her step-dad's death wasn't an accident.

And at the end of season 2, Georgia's arrested for murder in the middle of her wedding reception. This was "always the plan," according to creator Sarah Lampert. "How we pitched season 1 and then how we ended our pitch of season 2 was, 'Then Georgia's married to Paul, they're having their first dance, and she's arrested for murder,'" she told People in January 2023.

"I'm blown away that the writers are still able to show us completely new sides of each character, and that's what you're going to see in season 3," actress Brianne Howey says. "You will see a lot of grit and hustle, but in an entirely new way. Georgia has to dig deeper into a part of herself we haven't seen yet. So, she has to use that grit in all new ways."

Who's in the cast?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia stars Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, and Raymond Ablack as Joe.

How old was Georgia when she had Ginny?

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Georgia was 15 years old when she gave birth to Ginny. This is another detail that reminds us of Gilmore Girls since Lorelai was 16 when she had Rory!

Where can I watch Ginny & Georgia?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia season 3 is premiering June 5, 2025 on Netflix, which is where you can stream all 20 episodes of the show (10 in season one and 10 in season two). It's safe to assume that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will also have 10 episodes.

The Spark & the Swift Kick: Knight of Swords & Ace of Swords

We're kicking things off with a dynamic duo: the Knight of Swords and the Ace of Swords. Now, if you've been tuning in the past few weeks, you know we've been swimming in some action-oriented energy, even if it sometimes felt like we were wading through molasses. With all planets direct right now, the cosmos is definitely in a forward-moving mood, and these cards are echoing that big time.

But hold up! Action doesn't mean you need to sprint a marathon right this second. Think of this week as more of a gentle nudge to start taking action. The Knight of Swords is all about forward movement and transformation (peep those butterflies!), and paired with the brand-spanking-new beginnings and opportunities of the Ace of Swords, it's like the starting gun has just fired.

If things have felt sluggish, this might be the cosmic permission slip to just begin. And if your calendar has been looking like a Tetris game on expert level (hello, spring!), this is a reminder to tap into that fast-moving energy in a way that truly serves you.

The Ace of Swords is whispering about a new story, a fresh way of writing your narrative. It might be a tangible new thing in your life, or it could be a brand-new way of showing up within your current reality. The Knight of Swords is urging us to embrace that transformation and just move. It's not necessarily about lightning speed, but about initiating that journey.

If you've felt like you had momentum and then hit a wall, don't let that undertow pull you back! Remember Dory? "Just keep swimming!" This week is about choosing that forward momentum, even if it feels like a little tough love from the universe. They're basically saying, "Sip that cosmic coffee and let's GO!" We don't want to miss out on this potent forward energy.

Your Action Plan:

  • Make Lists: If overwhelm is your jam right now, get it all out of your head and onto paper.
  • Set Reminders: Use the tangible world (like your phone!) to support your energetic intentions.
  • Just Start: Take it one step at a time. The Ace of Swords reminds us you're at the beginning, so baby steps are totally okay.

The Pause & the Push: Nine of Wands

Next up, we have the Nine of Wands. Now, this card can sometimes signal paralysis or feeling stuck. But the vibe this week is a little different. It's highlighting some deep-seated wounds getting triggered – maybe old failures creeping into your thoughts, fear of not succeeding, or anxiety about the path ahead. You might be feeling stuck because you're unsure how to navigate these feelings.

The guidance here is acceptance. If this resonates, take a moment to acknowledge those feelings: "I am afraid. I am unsure. I am overwhelmed." And then ask yourself: "Okay, but now what?"

The Nine of Wands also brings a bit of tough love. You have a choice: stay stuck in that discomfort, or take one step forward. It doesn't have to be a giant leap, just a single step. You deserve so much more than to let fear or anxiety win. We're in a season of transformation and forward movement, so choose that!

This applies to all areas of life – work, hobbies, relationships, and even your internal world. What energy do you want to cultivate daily? What small action can you take to start being in that space? It could be a mantra, a new morning routine, or breaking down a big goal into tiny, manageable steps.

Don't let past stories or stories others have written for you keep you stuck. Take back the pen and start writing your own narrative. It might feel big and scary, but remember that butterfly energy – transformation can be uncomfortable, but staying in the cocoon forever isn't an option. Let's be butterflies!

Your Action Plan:

  • Acknowledge Your Feelings: It's okay to feel overwhelmed or afraid.
  • Take One Step: Even a small action breaks the stagnation.
  • Rewrite Your Story: Don't let past experiences define your future.

Frances Naudé

The Leap of Faith & the Turning Wheel: The Fool & Wheel of Fortune

Finally, we have a super hopeful duo: The Fool and the Wheel of Fortune. The Fool is all about new beginnings, taking a leap of faith, even if you don't see the landing just yet. It's that "woo, let's go!" energy, trusting that your "wings will appear" or you'll land safely.

Paired with the Wheel of Fortune, this is a resounding YES from the universe! Take the chance, spin the wheel, make the leap. It doesn't matter how it all unfolds right now, just go for it.

The Wheel of Fortune reminds us that things are always turning. If you're in a tough spot, hope is on the horizon. If things are amazing right now, optimize it and enjoy the ride, knowing that phases shift. This isn't a bad thing – it's the natural rhythm of life.

The Fool is like the universe saying, "We've got you!" Even with uncertainty, trust that you are supported and guided. Bet on yourself! The Wheel of Fortune brings infinite possibility. The path might not be crystal clear yet, but you have to walk it to figure it out. Spin that wheel and see where it lands!

The final piece of guidance here is to be open to expansion in your goals. Maybe the end result will look slightly different than you initially imagined, and that's okay! Leave a little room for the universe to surprise you and make it even better than you thought possible.

Your Action Plan:

  • Take a Chance: What's a small leap of faith you can take this week?
  • Trust the Process: The universe has your back, even if the path is unclear.
  • Be Open to Possibility: Your dreams might unfold in unexpected and beautiful ways.

Ultimately, this week is brimming with hopeful and expansive energy. Yes, there might be fear and overwhelm, but the message is clear: just start. Whether it's a tiny shift in mindset or the first step towards a big dream, trust the journey. We're all in this together, and the universe is cheering us on! What a beautiful and hopeful energy to embrace.

After only two episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu renewed the series for season 5! I'm so excited that the show breaks a recent pattern of cancelling shows after the third or fourth season, giving us more time with our favorite characters, and I'm not the only one.

"Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home!" Selena Gomez says in an Instagram post, while the official Only Murders account made their own post, saying, "We had our lawyers call business affairs. Turned the 4 into a 5. #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding is coming back for Season 5!!"

In addition to the show entering production, the one and only Renée Zellweger (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) just joined the cast. Iconic!

Here's everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building season 5, coming to Hulu soon.

Who's in the Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast?

Eric McCandless/Disney

The Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast features all our favorites, and some new faces! According to Dan Fogelman, “we can expect more big guest stars that’ll probably be announced sooner rather than later,” he tells The Wrap.

"I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift," Selena Gomez says about working with Steve Martin and Martin Short. "That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet."

The Only Murders season 5 cast includes:

  • Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora: a true crime lover who begins her own podcast after getting sucked into a murder mystery.
  • Martin Short as Oliver Putnam: a theatre director and founder of the Only Murders in the Building podcast.
  • Steve Martin as Charles Hayden Savage: an actor and true crime lover who begins the Only Murders podcast with Oliver and Mabel.
  • Téa Leoni as Sofia Caccimelio: a woman who approaches the podcast trio after her husband Nicky goes missing.
  • Renée Zellweger
  • Christoph Waltz
  • Keegan-Michael Key

What is Only Murders in the Building season 5 about?

Patrick Harbron/Disney

We finally got our first details about Only Murders season 5 — and we're going in a direction I totally didn't expect. When Sofia visits Mabel and Charles in the season 4 ending, and asks them to find her missing husband, she's disappointed when they turn her down. And since Téa Leoni just joined the season 5 cast, it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” co-creator John Hoffman says in an interview with Deadline. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know...It’s a world opened up potentially that we haven’t talked about too much yet in New York, so she holds a lot of intrigue.”

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

New York's underground is a wild space that we haven't really seen on Only Murders yet so I know we're in for one very interesting season — because if this show is going to go there, they're going to go there.

Executive producer Dan Fogelman told The Wrapwe can look forward to “another big fun mystery the writers have been cooking up," while Hoffman has gone on the record saying the new episodes will “hit on some very current things going on within New York, specifically very relevant things that are happening in the city right now.”

When is Only Murders in the Building season 5 coming out?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

There's no Only Murders in the Building season 5 release date quite yet, but the show is in production! Considering we've had a new season over the last four years (with season 1 in 2021, season 2 in 2022, season 3 in 2023, and season 4 in 2024), we're expecting to see season 5 in 2025. Stay tuned for the official Only Murders season 5 release date.

How many episodes are there in Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

Only Murders in the Building season 5 will have 10 episodes total on Hulu.

It's this glimpse into the human experience that makes TV the perfect medium for exploring the deeper emotional and psychological impacts of war. So, here are the best war series ever aired on the small screen that really bring history to life.

Hulu

2. Catch-22

It's set during World War II and follows John Yossarian, who's part of a U.S. Bomber squadron and believes he's in danger due to his high volume of missions. So, he tries to use the Catch-22 rule and declare himself insane in order to escape combat.

HBO

3. Band of Brothers

Produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, HBO's Band of Brothers premiered in 2001 as a ten-part miniseries. Released on Netflix in 2024, Shōgun had a budget that neared $250 million, so it features incredible production design.

HBO

5. The Pacific

HBO

6. Generation Kill

Generation Kill centers on the early days of the Iraq War, based on Rolling Stone journalist Evan Wright's reporting with the U.S. Marines. Airing in 2008 on HBO, this seven-part miniseries tracks the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion during the 2003 invasion, capturing the chaos, adrenaline, and dark humor that characterize modern combat.

Lee Tergesen stars as Evan, and other Generation Kill cast members include James Ransone, Alexander Skarsgård, and Billy Lush.

Max

7. Valley of Tears

Debuting in 2020, Valley of Tears is set during the Yom Kippur War of 1973 and follows a group of young Israeli soldiers caught off guard by a surprise attack from Egyptian and Syrian forces on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar.

The story is told over 10 tense and emotional episodes, combining large-scale combat scenes with more character-driven moments.

BBC

8. World on Fire

Last but not least is World on Fire, which takes a more interpersonal approach to depicting World War II. This show, which premiered in 2019, portrays the conflict unfolding through the eyes of ordinary people across various countries, including Britain, Poland, France, Germany, and the U.S.

It offers a very human look at how war disrupts lives way beyond the battlefield and features outstanding performances from Jonah Hauer-King, Lesley Manville, Sean Bean, and Mark Bonnar. The best part is that there are two seasons to binge.

When I think of spring desserts, I immediately think of banana pudding. When I think of summer desserts, there’s no question that ice cream is the go-to. To help bridge the gap between this current spring and the coming summer season, Trader Joe’s just stocked their freezers with a treat that really delivers the best of both dessert worlds: Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream! And yes, I am freaking out about it!

More shoppers like me are clearly feeling the same way about Trader Joe's limited-time Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream – a few fans on social media shared they’re buying 6 pints at a time after "waiting all year.” This is definitely one of those TJ’s finds you’ll want to hunt down ASAP!

Scroll on for more about Trader Joe's seasonal Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream that just hit stores!

Trader Joe's

Sold by the pint, Trader Joe’s Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream is reminiscent of, well, actual banana pudding. It’s flavored with banana purée and immaculately accented not only with swirls of salted caramel, but bits of the signature vanilla wafer cookies you find in the OG dessert.

Trader Joe's

Trader Joe’s fan @traderjoestalia shared the returning ice cream flavor with their Instagram followers, and a handful of shoppers sounded off with excitement:

“The banana pudding ice cream ALWAYS gives me life,” one person commented.

“I have been waiting all year,” another said.

@traderjoestalia

Reddit also lit up after the Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream made its official comeback to Trader Joe’s. This thread asking for fans’ opinions on the new pint detailed the ice cream’s exact flavor and was fairly mixed in terms of reception.

Some people noted that the seasonal flavor “tastes like artificial bananas and nothing else” and has a “chemical aftertaste,” while others said it only has a “tiny bit of an artificial banana flavor, but nothing to be mad at.” Several users compared it to banana-flavored Laffy Taffy!

“Omg! I am so happy it is back! It is so delicious!!” one Redditor said. “I add fresh banana and strawberry slices. I can't wait to get some more!”

“I LOVE Banana anything and it's just so tasty. The one issue is that I eat it too fast,” another person said. “I just bought a container yesterday and it's already gone."

“Us southern folk down here recognize Blue Bell as the grand champion of banana pudding ice cream,” someone else commented. “However, I am willing to test this one....for science purposes & whatnot.”

Reddit

In my humble (and very dessert-loving) opinion, Trader Joe’s Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream is a must-try if you love ice cream of any kind. It boasts the perfect lineup of flavors for summertime, so it’s bound to be refreshing.

Reddit

One pint currently goes for $3.79 at TJ’s, but it’s only available for a limited time. I can’t wait to snag a few pints for myself to use for homemade ice cream sandwiches, affogatos (especially stoked on that one amid all the banana latte buzz), and simply shoveling spoonful after spoonful straight into my mouth!
