Idris Elba Is Engaged and You Can See His Sweet Proposal!

Idris Elba has been hard at work these past 12 months, taking over the big screen in films such as The Mountain Between Us and Thor: Ragnarok and making his directorial debut with Yardie (released on January 20). It seems he’s also been making big strides in the love department, as well, because the British actor has just gotten engaged!

The notoriously private 45-year-old shocked movie-goers at a screening of Yardie in London’s Rio Cinema when he got onstage with his 29-year-old girlfriend, former Miss Vancouver Sabrina Dhowre, and openly professed his love for her for all to see, dropping down on one knee to pop the big question.

While reps for the actor have yet to confirm the news to outlets for People, Rio Cinema took to Twitter to confirm the exciting news, sharing a snap of the actor and writing, “Another @riocinema first! Still five days to Valentines Day but @idriselba went down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend live on stage this morning before a preview of his film #Yardie.”

Lucky for us, David Marsden, managing director of Sainou Talent Agency London, was in the audience and managed to capture the special moment on video, joking, “When you turn up to the #Yardie screening… and the director @idriselba steals the show with a #marriageproposal.”

The clip shows the actor down on one knee as Dhowre bends over in shock before embracing her soon-to-be husband as the crowd roars its thunderous approval.

The newly engaged lovebirds met while Elba was on location in Canada shooting The Mountain Between Us with Kate Winslet. “Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special,” the actor told Peoplefollowing the pair’s red carpet debut at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.

The native Londoner was previously married to makeup artist Hanne Norgaard from 1999 to 2003, with whom he shares a 15-year-old daughter, Isan. He was briefly hitched to lawyer Sonya Hamlin n 2006, and welcomed a son, Winston, with then-girlfriend Naiyana Garth in 2014.

In a post celebrating the holidays, Dua Lipa posted a roundup of photos — led by a shot of her wearing a sherpa jacket and reindeer antlers. But as fun as her outfit is, the internet immediately focused on another detail: her new ring. It appears to be a diamond on a chunky gold band, and if you ask me, the ring's modern, glam look is the perfect vibe for the "Houdini" singer.

"THE RING," one user commented, while another user said, "ENGAGED VIBESSSSSSSSSS," under another end-of-year post.

And when Dua Lipa finally posted photos from her epic New Year's Eve celebration on January 3, a third user commented, "We all still waiting to see the 💍." TLDR; the singer's fans really want to know if she's engaged! But if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that this couple won't tell us unless they want to. And I'm here for it!

"Dua and Callum are so in love and know this is forever," a source told The Sun in December 2024. “They are engaged and couldn’t be happier. Dua has had one of the best years of her career professionally and this is the cherry on the cake."

"Callum is such a solid support for Dua and they make a wonderful couple," the source continues. "Their family and friends are so happy. It’s been an amazing Christmas for them.”

Hilary Duff Is Housing Mandy Moore & Family During LA Fires: "Altadena Strong."

Amid the tragedy of the LA fires, neighbors are opening their homes to one another. In addition to AirBnb offering temporary housing and various YMCAs and Red Cross locations opening their doors, victims are finding safety with friends and family — and that includes your favorite celebrities. Like Hilary Duff and husband Matthew Koma, who opened their home to Mandy Moore, Taylor Goldsmith, and their family.

After Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith's home was affected by the wildfires in Altadena (they lost their garage, music studio, and back house), Mandy's brother-in-law Griffin Goldsmith revealed the family had been taken in by Hilary Duff.

"All of this so overwhelming," he said on Instagram. "Our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a gofundme for us to help with everything moving forward. Not to mention they are currently housing my brother’s family. They’ve taken care of my entire family from the moment this began. I will never be able to thank them adequately. This is the kindest act any human could do for another. They are the most beautiful, selfless people we’ve ever known."

"I’ve never been so moved in my life," he continues. "We are completely blown away. I can’t talk or think about it without crying. Like I said there aren’t words to describe how I feel. I’m doing my best. You all have completely changed what the picture of our future in Los Angeles looks like."

Mandy Moore shared the GoFundMe for Griffin and Kit on Instagram, writing in a since-deleted post that the couple "lost their home and everything they own in the Eaton Fire."

"With their first baby on the way in a matter of weeks, they need our support now more than ever," Mandy says (via People). "Griff is a touring musician and also lost his entire arsenal of drums/percussion he uses to make a living. It’s all so much. So many have asked how to help during this unimaginable and stressful time … Please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild."

And when people criticized her decision to share the GoFundMe link? "Kindly F OFF."

"People questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic," she continues. "Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe and i’m sharing because people have asked how they can help them. We just lost most of our life in a fire too."

And the main part of Mandy Moore's home is still "mostly intact."

The Princess Diaries actress shared photos from her family's property, revealing that the main part of their home is still standing. "It’s not livable but mostly intact," she said on Instagram January 10. "We lost Taylor and griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned. We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law- 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivors guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thanks for everyone for checking on us and offering us help. Altadena strong."

OMG, Tom Holland & Zendaya Are Officially Engaged!

The 2025 Golden Globes were filled with plenty of surprises (like the fact Demi Moore won her first ever acting award?!) but one thing I never saw coming was Zendaya showing up to the red carpet with what looked like an engagement ring on THAT finger. And on January 6, TMZ confirmed Tom Holland and Z are officially engaged!

Tom recently spilled that working with The Drama actress (and simply being in her life) is "the best thing that ever happened to me." Eek! This is one celebrity couple I want to be together forever, and if you're wondering "are Zendaya and Tom Holland engaged?" then you've come to the right place.

Did Tom Holland and Zendaya actually get engaged?

Tom Holland and Zendaya engagement rumors have been circulating for quite awhile, and the internet freaked out when Z showed up to last night's Golden Globes with a diamond ring on her finger. TMZ reports that Tom popped the question in between Christmas and New Year's at one of Z's family homes. Their source also says the "romantic and intimate" proposal was private between the couple — which sounds exactly like something they'd do. The source also notes that the fiancés plan to get through their impressive upcoming Hollywood schedule before wedding planning.

While the ultra-private couple hadn't announced their engagement before the awards show, one recently-engaged LA Times reporter shared a moment with the actress, and the publication reported that Zendaya showed off the ring with "jazz" fingers, and when the reporter straight-up asked if she was engaged, Z "smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously."

Zendaya wore a custom orange Loui Vuitton dress to the awards show, as well as a gorgeous Bvlgari necklace with a blue Paraíba tourmaline at the center. However, the LA Times notes that Z's diamond ring was left out of the Bvlgari press release listing the rest of her jewelry.

Zendaya's new ring was the star of the show at the Golden Globes, and for good reason. People reports that the recent addition to Z's jewelry box looks like a Jessica McCormack 5.02ct East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring. The piece is "set in a Georgian style cut-down setting," (which, given Z's low-key and classy style would totally fit her vibe!) in a 18k white and yellow gold band.

In a viral TikTok, Zendaya can be seen showing off her new ring (reportedly to producer Amy Pascal) with a huge smile on her face.

Did Tom Holland and Zendaya get a house together?

A source recently told Life & Style that Tom Holland and Zendaya are "basically living like a husband and wife already."

“For Tom’s part, he’s seen up close how settling down, getting serious and having kids has changed [friend Robert Pattinson],” the source continues. “Tom wants that life for himself and Zendaya, sooner rather than later.”

Tom and Zendaya clearly enjoy life out of the spotlight and one of my favorite things is seeing this couple out for walks with Z's dog Noon! Here's hoping they'll be able to walk their dogs for as long as they both shall live. ;)

The grout lines are bit difficult to clean too between all the tiny tiles. Zellige tile or a slab of marble are a more sophisticated look for today's kitchens.

The stark contrast between black and white can come across as harsh and overly dramatic, a look that peaked in the 2010s. The farmhouse sign doesn't help warm it up either. Soften the look with earthy, natural tones.
