College grads who have absolutely no idea what to do with their lives seem to only have four options: join corporate America, get their master’s to put off joining corporate America, take up running as a hobby, or travel around the world. Kristin Juszcyzk went for option number five: design kickass, custom NFL merch for women, WAGs, and world-record-shattering Olympians like Simone Biles.

      www.instagram.com

In December 2023, Biles rocked a custom puffer jacket with her husband’s (former Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens) number on it, handmade and shipped by Juszcyzk herself. It’s still a pinch-me moment for the fashion designer. “I’m pretty sure Simone was the first person to ever wear any of my designs. I DM’ed her and was like, ‘Please, let me make you something!’” Juszczyk says in an exclusive interview with Brit + Co. “She is so incredible and so sweet, and she was so great in the process. She trusted me with a ton of creative freedom.”

Like her husband, San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, Kristin crushed the 2023 football season. Niners fans have been familiar with her style game for years, but when Taylor Swift sported a custom 87 jacket to Travis Kelce’s game on Jan. 13, Juszczyk’s fashion career skyrocketed into a brand new era.

      Instagram/@theoriginshop

Juszcyzk’s lifelong love of fashion first manifested itself in 2018. The budding designer founded an online clothing boutique called Origin, which sold everything from knitted sets to hoop earrings to studded jeans. (If 2018 were a brand, it’d be Origin.) “That was where I got my feet wet. I really enjoyed every second of it, but it got to a point where I felt like I lacked the ability to be creative,” Juszczyk reflects. The brand’s Instagram account and website went quiet in late 2021.

      www.instagram.com

But just because Origin shut down doesn’t mean that Juszcyzk’s drive to design did. As she searched for her next venture, she started DIY-ing her own NFL merch to wear to her husband’s games. We’re not talking about screen-printed tees here. Juszcyzk’s rocked up to Levi’s Stadium in custom leather jackets, a jersey reworked into a cropped corset, and a red-hot blazer/skirt combo. Her unique designs caught Biles’s and Swift’s attention, as well as that of Brittany Mahomes, Taylor Lautner, and Olivia Culpo, just to name a few of Juszcyzk’s celebrity clients.

Every piece Juszcyzk designs is completely personalized to its owner. “I always take a look at the person’s Instagram and what they like to wear. I want to make sure I follow their vibe so that they feel confident in my design,” she reveals.

      x/@simone_biles

She also considers the weather the piece will be worn in — a lesson she learned the hard way. “When I made that puffer vest for Simone, I didn’t even put two and two together that it was gonna be 30 degrees and snowing. I should have put sleeves on it! I’m still learning,” she says. (Not that Simone minded. On the day of Super Bowl LVIII, the gold medalist tweeted, “I want the 49ers to win just because it’s Kristin Juszczyk’s birthday.”)

Juszcyzk is now an official licensee of the NFL, which means that she’s one step closer to working with her dream clients: the fans. She says, “One-off pieces are obviously not accessible to people, and making them is very time-consuming and labor-intensive. I want my designs to be more accessible to everybody, you know? There’s a huge demand for fresh designs, especially for girls, and I want the fans to have them.”

      www.instagram.com

Before football starts back up in September, Kristin and Kyle have been making the most of the off-season at home with their adorable Samoyeds, Mozzarella and Pierogi. In between competing for Purina treats, Mozzie and Rogi are keeping their mom company as she gathers inspiration for her Fall ‘24 designs. She shares, “I’m so excited to show people some new silhouettes and also to push my boundaries and come up with something new every week.”

As for whether we’re going to see another Simone Biles and KJD collab soon? “Her husband’s on a different team now, so I’ll have to make her something new!” Juszczyk says.

Following in the footsteps of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr. Strange: Multiverse of Madness, literally EVERYONE is talking about the cast for Deadpool 3 (officially titled Deadpool & Wolverine). Rumors have been circulating for quite awhile about names like Channing Tatum, Elizabeth Olsen, and Taron Egerton making cameos in the new Marvel movie, but there's one potential casting that had Twitter going crazy: Taylor Swift.

Thanks to Harry Styles' appearance in Eternals, the popstar to superhero pipeline is something we know ~all too well~. Even though the popstar didn't end up making an appearance, we were even happier to see (or rather, hear) Blake Lively in the movie! Here's everything we know about Deadpool 3 — and AND Blake Lively's role.

      Is Deadpool and Wolverine streaming?

      Marvel Studios/Disney

Yes, you can rent Deadpool & Wolverine on platforms like Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime! There's nothing like fighting the universe's biggest and baddest in the comfort of your own home.

      Is Blake Lively Lady Deadpool?

      Blake Lively/Instagram

Yes! Blake Lively makes a cameo as the masked Lady Deadpool, while Inez Reynolds appears as Kid Pool and Olin Reynolds makes their onscreen debut as Baby pool. In an Instagram post celebrating Deadpool & Wolverine, Blake Lively revealed the first time Ryan Reynolds told her about "meta" superhero Deadpool was when they were working on The Green Lantern.

"We understood in theory, but how it would come together for an audience was murky, for everyone but [Ryan]. It wasn’t a real dream. The movie was never gonna happen," she says. "Just before all this in 2010, [Rob Liefeld] drew an unmasked Lady Deadpool for the first time." Lady Deadpool is an alternate universe's version of the famed superhero.

"12 years later I read Rob’s post," she continues. "A year after that, @deadpoolmovie 3 was filmed...The universe has such a magical sense of humor sometimes."

Some fans immediately jumped to the conclusion Blake is in the new Deadpool movie, especially after she rocked a Lady Deadpool-esque 'fit + high pony to the premiere alongside BFF Gigi Hadid.

Is Taylor Swift in Deadpool 3?

Image via Kevin Winter/Getty Images for dcp

No, Taylor Swift is not in Deadpool 3. But this dazzlingfan art will have to tide us over until she decides to make an appearance!

In a new interview with Fandango, Ryan Reynolds addressed the cameo rumors...kind of. “There’s so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film,” Ryan says. “I saw one that was convinced that Elvis is in the movie. Anything can happen and that’s sort of what I love about this universe. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”

The rumor that Taylor Swift will appear as Dazzler (which has been on the internet since Taylor tooka picture with the cast and crew of 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse) gained traction after a video from The DisInsider. The mutant, a singer who can turn sound into light, has been one of MCU boss Kevin Feige's favorites for a long time.

"Many years ago I asked Kevin Feige if he were to ever direct his own Marvel movie, which character would he want to focus on," Fandago's Eric Davis tweeted. "He said Dazzler. He’s a big fan."

In addition to manipulating sound and light, Dazzler (whose real name, Alison, also happens to be Taylor's middle name) can also create holograms. "The louder the source, the more powerful the output," says Marvel's official site. "She can also shoot bursts of light out of her fingers, hands, eyes, and other parts."

Not only would the character's popstar similarities make sense, but Taylor is also good friends with Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. Their kids have been included in Taylor's music (like the intro to Reputation's "Gorgeous" and the names of folklore's fictional characters). Ryan lent Taylor his Deadpool suit for Halloween and both the Deadpool 3 announcement and All Too Well: The Short Film were filmed in Ryan and Blake's house.

On February 16, the official Australian Marvel Entertainment account posted a photo of some Deadpool and Wolverine friendship bracelets, in addition to a rainbow bracelet confirming the July 25 release date. "Besties," the caption reads. Considering Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has become known for friendship bracelets, and she was in Australia at the time.

Who's in the Deadpool & Wolverine cast?

      Marvel Studios/Disney

In addition to Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, we'll see Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, Owen Wilson as Mobius (who became a fan favorite after Loki), as well as Succession's Matthew Macfadyen and The Crown's Emma Corrin.

As far as cameos, Deadpool & Wolverine did not disappoint! We also see Jennifer Garner as Elektra from 2003's Daredevil and 2005's Elektra, Chris Evans as the original Fantastic 4's Johnny Storm, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and Dafne Keen as Laura/X-23 from Logan. Channing Tatum also appears as Gambit.

What's the Deadpool 3 release date?

      Marvel Studios/Disney

Deadpool 3 hits theaters July 26, 2024. The movie was originally scheduled for May 3, 2024, but because of the strikes happening in Hollywood, it became one of many delayed movies.

What is Deadpool & Wolverine about?

      Marvel Studios/Disney

Ryan Reynolds announced Deadpool & Wolverine with a hilarious Instagram post on September 27, 2022. "[Deadpool's] first appearance in the MCU obviously needs to feel special," he says in the video. (The first Deadpool was distributed by 20th Century Fox). "We need to stay true to the character." He goes on to joke that despite all his brainstorming, he has no ideas for the film — except bringing back Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

"Hey Hugh," Ryan says as Hugh crosses the background of the video. "You want to play Wolverine one more time?"

      "Yeah, sure Ryan," Hugh responds.

The announcement immediately started trending on social media (Ryan's original post currently has 3.8M likes), and while we don't have many official plot details yet (Marvel loves to keep their surprises, well, surprising), we do know that time travel will play a role.

Watch the hilarious, gory, and unhinged Deadpool 3 trailer here! The movie brings the classic funny-yet-gory story we've come to expect from Ryan Reynolds, but it also introduces newer MCU details like the TVA from Loki and the next chapter of superheroes thanks to Wolverine! We haven't seen the X-Men in the MCU before and I cannot wait to see how they make their mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Is there a Wolverine variant in Deadpool & Wolverine?

      Marvel Studios/Disney

Yes, Deadpool 3 shows us multiple Wolverines — not just Hugh Jackman's version. We also see Henry Cavill! After the introduction of the TVA, the multiverse, and series like What If? (not to mention Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness giving us John Krasinski as Mr. Fantastic!!), literally anything is possible when it comes to casting in the MCU these days.

Is Deadpool's girlfriend alive in Deadpool 3?

      Marvel Studios/Disney

Yes, it appears that Vanessa is alive in Deadpool 3what?! Turns out, Wade used a time device (with a little help from Warhead and Yukio) to go back and save her before she met her untimely end. However, it looks like that one decision gets him trouble with the Time Variance Authority (TVA). TBH, he shouldn't be surprised. They don't mess around.

Why is Deadpool 3 part of the MCU?

Joe Lederer/Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation/IMDb

After Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in 2019, characters like the X-Men, Deadpool, and the Fantastic Four joined the MCU. Hugh Jackman's involvement in Deadpool 3 marks Wolverine's introduction to the MCU. And we finally got official word that our Fantastic Four will be played by The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal, The Crown's Vanessa Kirby, Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn, and The Bear's Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Talk about a star-studded cast!

Are you excited about the cast for Deadpool 3? Let us know in the comments and check out the rest of this year's Summer Movies!

      This post has been updated.

Yulin Kuang has been having an It Girl summer. Her debut novel, How To End A Love Story, dropped April 9 and was chosen for Reese's Book Club in May. "They did send me photos of [Reese Witherspoon] holding my book, which I was like, 'Oh my God, this is almost better than if I had a selfie with her,'" Yulin jokes over Zoom. "It feels more personal. I was like, 'Oh, it's like she's taking a selfie with my brain.'"

"It's been kind of a whirlwind," the author continues. "I've walked into, somehow, the dream scenario for a debut author. And at the same time, it is kind of daunting because it always feels so vulnerable to put art out there that feels personal, which I think good art always should feel."

      Amazon

How To End A Love Story follows Helen Zhang and Grant Shepard, who reconnect after a tragic accident 13 years ago changed their lives forever. In honor of Yulin's partnership with Maison Louis Jadot, I sat down to talk about the author, screenwriter, and director's favorite book & wine pairings (like Natalie Sue's I Hope This Finds You Well & Pouilly-Fuissé and Betty Corrello's Summertime Punchline & Bourgogne Blanc). And that includes the drinks her characters would go for.

According to Yulin, Helen would love the Beaujolais-Villages ("She's a little bit formal, she talks about how she feels like she was raised by old Victorian Ghosts"), while Grant would gravitate to the Macon-Villages, a personal favorite of Yulin's.

"My friends came over and we poured it and we were just having our own little wine sampling, which I do recommend," she says. "I feel like it's fun to have two different wines, and instantly you've elevated your gathering."

No dinner party is complete without a charcuterie board, and Yulin's perfect spread includes nuts, meats, and cheeses. "Something with rosemary and salt," she says after thinking for a moment. "I love a truffle nut. It's a good source of flavors and kind of a light protein so it feels kind of healthy. Apricots are great. And then I love a meat spread as well. So any kind of pepperoni, salami. And then yeah, I love any kind of cheese that has a hint of garlic, which I know makes me like less kissable."

In addition to creating the ultimate book and wine list, Yulin has been diving into hobbies that cultivate her creativity. Bridgerton reminded her how much she loves to embroider, while she's also found time to figure skate. She's been revisiting classic novels, old movies, and just "going back to the things that first made me fall in love with romance."

"I started subscribing to magazines because I found that everything that was coming to me was coming to me through an algorithm and I didn't mind that it was curated, but I wanted it to be curated by a human," she continues. "So sometimes when I feel like I've been staring at screens for too long, I shut everything off and then I start painting and I just paint using references from magazines."

      Zack Wallnau/Maison Louis Jadot

While the celebration for her first novel is far from over, Yulin Kuang is also looking to the future — and the two Emily Henry books she's adapting: Beach Read (on which she's writer and director) and People We Meet On Vacation (which she wrote the screenplay for).

"I am pretty focused on Beach Read at the moment," she says. "I truly believe that art belongs to the audience once it's out in the world. And so saying too much, it feels prescriptive, you know? So I hope they enjoy it. I hope that they know that a lot of care is going into the adaptations. I remember what it's like to be watching with anxious hearts about the announcements of all my favorite adaptations. And so that's the main thing. I hope they know that I really, really care."

I got to sit down with Emily Henry ahead of the release of her 2023 hit Happy Place, and was immediately enchanted by the author. "She really is that person," Yulin says about Emily. "She is so warm and charming and wonderful. And she's the dream collaborator when it comes to this because you kind of want somebody who understands the art and understands that the book is a book and the movie is a movie."

"When you transport art into another medium, it has to be able to take root in the soil and bloom into its own thing," she continues. "We're creating different vineyards. And so I think there's some natural anxiety going into that for the first time because it's like, 'Oh, well, is this gonna go well? Will they like what we've done?' And Emily has just been such a fantastic collaborator in that regard."

      Sela Shiloni

But Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation aren't the only projects we'll see from Yulin Kuang in the future. "I do have another indie feature that I'm currently working on," Yulin shares. "It's called Filthy and it's with Adam Scott and Naomi Scott's production company. I'm very excited about that one. It's set in the world of audio porn and it's about a couple that's trying to decide if they're ready to have kids. And then the wife discovers that her husband is secretly an audio porn star, and they have like a sexy little affair."

"In the book space, I've been working on book two," she continues. "What I can say is book two has proved so much harder to write than book one. And I kind of have a mistress book too. I do this thing where, for some reason, I need to have a main project and then eventually a mistress will develop and then I'll kind of work on the two and see which one is gonna actually make it across the finish line. It keeps things exciting for me."

      Sugar and Soul

      Harry Potter Amortentia Potion Cocktail

One of our favorite potions in the Wizarding World is Amortentia (the love potion) for a few simple reasons: it's pink, it's glittery, and it's romantic. Need we say more? You won't want to wait until Valentine's Day to make your own considering it features homemade grenadine. Yes, please! (via Sugar and Soul)

      The Starving Chef

      The Howler

Mrs. Weasley's Howler (a magical letter that audibly reads itself to you, FYI) is one of the most memorable aspects of The Chamber of Secrets. And if Mrs. Weasley is one of your favorite characters then you should definitely make this fruity Harry Potter cocktail in her honor! (via The Starving Chef)

      Feast and West

      Harry Potter Boozy Frozen Butterbeer

We couldn't tell you how many times we wanted to try Butterbeer growing up (the scene in The Half-Blood Prince movie where all the characters spend time at The Three Broomsticks played a pivotal role in this craving). Now not only can we make it ourselves, but we can make it boozy. Say no more! The secret here is going to be a butterscotch schnapps + vanilla vodka combo. Wow. (via Feast and West)

      In Literature

      Liquid Luck [Felix Felicis]

This might be the easiest drink you've ever made — it only requires three ingredients! Liquid Luck's most recognizable feature is its golden shimmer so don't be afraid to add a lot of edible glitter and by a lot, we mean a lot. (via In Literature)

      Whip & Wander

      Gillywater

In the Harry Potter universe, gillyweed is a plant that, when consumed, gives you gills and webbed fingers and toes. While we don't have gillyweed, you can swap it for cucumber, mint, and limes. We'd definitely consider this drink to be the most magical water ever! (via Whip & Wander)

      Gastronom

      Unicorn Blood Harry Potter Cocktail

In the Harry Potter books and movies, unicorn blood is silver and has the power to keep someone alive. Talk about a powerful drink! This Harry Potter cocktail uses Elderflower liqueur and Creme de Violette to get that gray finish. Feel free to add edible glitter for some extra sparkle. (via Gastronom)

      Half Baked Harvest

      Death Eater Negroni

      Patrick Fore/Unsplash

      Butterbeer Cocktail

While nonalcoholic recipes for Butterbeer abound, this version has some kick, thanks to vanilla vodka, butterscotch schnapps and a glug of Guinness. A couple of these will have you dancing around like happy house elves. (via Cooking With Curls)

      The Flavor Bender

Peach and Raspberry Unicorn Blood Cocktail

The secret to this gorgeous-looking cocktail is the “shimmery liqueur” recipe, which provides the magical silvery swirls. But it’s the homemade raspberry puree that makes it taste so delicious. Disclaimer: No unicorns are harmed in the making of this Harry Potter cocktail. (via The Flavor Bender)

      Cooking With Curls

      Witches Brew Cocktail

Though not referenced by name in the series, this punch is an homage to the Hogwart’s spirit. It can be made ahead of time in big batches, freeing you up to mingle with the other witches… er, we mean guests. Made of orange juice, pomegranate juice and citrus vodka, it goes down real easy. (via Cooking With Curls)

      Half Baked Harvest

      The Hermione Granger Cocktail

In honor of one of the best leading ladies of all time, make this delicious and fruity Harry Potter cocktail for your next Hogwarts party. It features raspberries, lemon, vodka, and sparkling water for a flavor experience worthy of this Gryffindor. (via Half Baked Harvest)

      Patrick Fore/Unsplash

      Polyjuice Potion

No Harry Potter party is complete without a big vat of Polyjuice punch. This recipe calls for lime sherbert, vodka and soda, and it bubbles up ominously when first mixed. Serve it immediately after pouring so that your guests can get the full effect. (via Cooking With Curls)

      Cooking With Curls

      Pumpkintini

Like Harry’s favorite pumpkin juice, this blend of pumpkin puree and coconut milk is refreshing and delicious. Unlike Harry’s sipper, though, this one is spiked with white rum and whiskey. Rim the glass with crushed graham cracker crumbles and it’s like drinking pumpkin pie. We think grown-up Harry would approve. (via Cooking With Curls)

      Jelly Shot Test Kitchen

      Polyjuice Potion Jelly Shots

These creepy gelatinous blobs are made with pineapple juice, pineapple vodka, ginger ale and lime sherbet, and are just as tasty if you leave out the alcohol so that you can serve them to kids. Remove the jellies from their molds before they’re completely set if you want to get the right ghastly bubbly-potion effect. (via Jelly Shot Test Kitchen)
