Social media is teeming with influencers whose lives we covet. Take, for instance, Julia Engel of Charleston-based Gal Meets Glam, who satiates her 1.1 million Instagram followers with daily #styleInspo, travel photos, romantic bae pics, and of course, snaps of her flawless skin and hair. To celebrate her partnership with skin care giant Perricone MD, the self-proclaimed “dress lover” took a break from her uploading schedule to answer a few rapid-fire questions with Brit + Co about the beauty routine that keeps her camera ready.

Your skin care mantra is… Good skin starts from within. Eating right, exercising, getting a good night’s sleep, and drinking water are the best things you can do to see the most results.
Masks: paper, cream, or gel? I love sheet masks because they’re easy to grab and go, especially since I travel a lot. There’s also no clean-up and you can use them anywhere (you don’t need a sink nearby). When I’m home, I love using Perricone MD Firming Foam Mask ($50). It’s really gentle on my skin, and I love the cooling sensation that it gives, especially in the morning to wake up and firm up my skin.
Eye cream: yay or nay? Yes! Always! Perricone MD has a wonderful eye cream. The Perricone MD De-Puffing Eye Gel ($75) is meant for targeting puffiness, which is always a constant battle. I’ll dab just a small amount around my eye socket to revive those morning bags.
Your favorite SPF?Clé de Peau Beauté UV Protective Cream Tinted spf 50+ ($85) for my face and Supergoop ($13) for my body.
What would we be surprised to find in your beauty arsenal? Maybe not incredibly surprising, but I really love the Simple Micellar Make-Up Remover Wipes ($8) (I just picked them up at a nearby drugstore). They’re so gentle, easy to pack, and really affordable.
The skin care product you can’t live without? Moisturizer. It’s the one product I always use no matter what. I have dry skin, so I need lots of it. I’m obsessed with Perricone MD Hydrating Cloud Cream ($80) right now — it’s incredible. It leaves my skin dewy and hydrated all day long. And I love to layer-up to gain optimal hydrating benefits with Perricone MD Hydrating Booster Serum ($100) as my first step before adding moisturizer.
Favorite spot for skin care treatments?DermaPlus in San Francisco for sure!
Kookiest beauty ritual? I’ll rub an ice cube all over my face if I’m puffy in the morning.
In-flight beauty essential? Sheet masks and lots of water.
Do you have a morning beauty elixir recipe? Anything with lots of greens and lemon. I usually stick to just hot water with lemon.
Beauty supplements: yay or nay? I don’t take any beauty supplements, but I do take a daily B complex vitamin.
