Kaley Cuoco wed her sweetheart of two years, equestrian Karl Cook, in a Instagram-ready bonanza on July 1. No detail was spared for the Big Bang Theory star’s nuptials — and we would know, we have the details from her wedding planner Lauren Tatum of Lauren Tatum Events herself.
“The wedding was one for the record books,” Tatum writes to us. “It’s was pure magic, love, and FUN! The bride and groom were the belles of the ball and even the guests were treated like royalty, down to providing shoes for their feet, followed by shoe shines, and foot massages!”
For the ceremony, the bride opted for a gorgeous Reem Acra gown and cape set, while the groom looked dashing in a black tux. As for that breathtaking ceremony arrangement that looks made for Pinterest: “That was a blush pink pampas grass, white rose, hydrangea, peonies horseshoe altar,” Tatum tells us via email.
The arrangement was no shrinking violet either. In fact, according to Tatum, it was “10 feet tall and eight feet wide” and was masterminded and executed by Yvonne Van Pelt of Empty Vase. And given that both Cuoco and Cook are riders who met at a horse show, the horseshoe is particularly on point.
As for the planner’s inspiration behind the design of the actress’ big day, Tatum says, “My inspiration was built around their love of animals. I wanted romance with a touch of a theme, which I decided would be 1920s inspired. I wanted the guests to be transformed to a magical place that only exists in dreams; heaven on earth!” And that definitely came through in the details, like this miniature pony that rocked braids and a “Here comes the bride” sign.
Even the couple’s stables were decorated with festive wreaths and lined with pampas grass arrangements and rose petals.
As for the human tables, they also had animal details with napkins embroidered with alternating silhouettes of paw and hoof prints, a nod to the couples’ many pups and horses. The centerpieces included floral towers of roses and orchids, more pampas grass (clearly a theme here), and hanging crystals.
Aside from the stunning chandeliers hung from the beams, the tent ceilings were lit to look like the night sky with a starry LED design and even included a projection screen that streamed the father-daughter dance. Aww.
The desserts were emblazoned with the horseshoe theme as well. And the burger buns were branded with “KC²,” the happy duo’s monogram that showed up all over their wedding.
For the party portion of the evening, Cuoco changed into a Tadashi Shoji lace jumpsuit and whipped her hair up into a high pony. The couple shared a kiss under a fairy-lights gazebo that Tatum and her team created for the sweet shot.
When it comes to the party details, the couple did not disappoint. They hired expert Cuban cigar rollers to create an unforgettable experience for their guests.
They also had cigarette girls in pink costumes passing out candies and treats (but not real cigarettes). And to really punch up the party, the wedding featured live performers like a fire-breather, a stilts walker, and a juggler. The reception had, as Tatum tells us, “lots of different wines, beers, liquors, desserts, cigar rollers, a spa for women, a barbershop for the men, a fun ice luge that cools the liquor.”
Guests were sent home with their own mini bottles of bourbon labeled with the couple’s custom monogram and wedding date. All in all, it sure seemed like a hell of a party, and in the words of their wedding planner, “a wonderland!”
