Everything We Know About Katy Perry and Orlando’s Breakup (So Far)

Katy Perry has been everywhere lately: from promoting her mermaid-inspired makeup collection, to hitting up awards shows like the Grammys and the BRIT Awards (where one of her backup dancers, hilariously dressed as a house, took a rather “left shark” tumble off the stage). Her sheer stage presence (not to mention her new platinum ‘do) was almost enough to make us forget she’s been largely flying solo these days.

One rather notable person in Perry’s life absent from her side at recent events has been boyfriend Orlando Bloom. Sans for a snap of the duo taken at last Sunday’s Oscars Vanity Fair party, we haven’t seen a whole lot of the power couple recently. As we learned today, that’s likely due to the fact that the pair are actually taking a break.

Perry and Bloom shared a joint statement to People magazine, which reads, “Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

Now, the rumor mill is churning as to why the pair that seemed so in sync, even sparking engagement rumors, have decided to cool things down. As an exclusive Perry source told People, Bloom wasn’t exactly looking for long-term love when their romance began. “It was never really supposed to be serious between them. When it first started, she was basically like, ‘This will be fun for now.'” A separate source from the Bloom camp confirmed that statement on his end, as well, saying that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor was “happy and content,” but “not in the mindset to settle down,” and, contrary to earlier reports, which suggested otherwise, he was still “keeping his options open.”

Still, the source says there was no big blowout or dramatic goodbyes. “There was nothing dramatic or over the top. Katy’s going through a lot of changes for her new music—both physically and emotionally—and that was a part of that.” In fact, Perry’s source says that she was far more heartbroken over ex John Mayer, and that this “just ran its course.”

E! News tells a somewhat different story, with their source hinting at some not-so-kosher actions on Bloom’s part. “Katy pulled the plug,” they said. “It was a few events that happened over the past few months. They both still love each other very much, though, and getting back together could happen once they have some space.”

Considering that the couple reportedly hasn’t seen much of one another as of late anyway, with increasingly busy schedules — Bloom has been away on a UNICEF trip while Perry’s been promoting her single — we’re not so sure. Still, we’re holding out a shred of hope, if only for the sake of Bloom’s son, Flynn.

“Katy has built a really strong relationship with Flynn,” People’s source says. “It’s sad, but it will work out like it’s supposed to.” #Truth.

Ariana Grande & Ethan Slater are still going strong after taking their relationship Instagram official. The couple met while filming Wicked, and in honor of Ariana Grande's Oscar nomination for her role as Glinda, Ethan Slater made a rare Instagram post celebrating his girlfriend — and Glinda would totally approve.

Keep reading to see Ethan Slater's Instagram post for Ariana Grande's Wicked Oscar nomination below.

Ethan Slater's sweet tribute features lots of pink.

Ethan Slater's Instagram tribute features Ariana Grande looking out on a rainy window while wearing an oversized white sweater, a bun, and no shoes. And best of all, she's holding some bubblegum pink balloons that are just screaming Glinda.

This couple keeps things pretty private, so I was shocked to see this post! I was, however, less shocked to hear Ariana Grande can't stop crying over her nomination.

The actress posted an image carousel, starting with a childhood photo where she's dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. "picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition. i cannot stop crying, to no one’s surprise," she says. "i’m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered. i’m so proud of you, tiny."

She also thanked director Jon Chu (which makes his Best Director snub a little more bearable). "thank you @jonmchu for taking this chance on me and for being the most unbelievably brilliant leader, human being, and most fierce friend," she continues. "i am so deeply proud of my beautiful Wicked family. i am so proud of my Elphie, my sister, my dear @cynthiaerivo. your brilliance is never ending and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. i love you unconditionally, always."

Congrats to all the 2025 Oscar nominees! Check out why This Insane Wicked: Part Two Theory Changes Everything.

There are some differences when it comes to fans of Taylor Sheridan's TV shows. Some of us are anticipating 1923 season 2 and The Madison, others are mourning the fact 1883 only got a single season — or that Yellowstone actually came to a close. (Be honest, did you roast Taylor for casting Bella Hadid as his girlfriend?). No matter what camp you're in, I rounded up all of Taylor Sheridan's best TV shows in one place so you can see which title you wanna binge watch next.

Here are all of the best Taylor Sheridan TV shows, from Yellowstone to 1923.

After almost 17 years of marriage, Jessica Alba just officially split from her husband, Cash Warren. TMZ reported that the actress and film producer have been separated for a while now, and this article seems to make everything even more official. Here's everything we know so far about the breakup — including how long it seems like the pair's actually been split up.

Here's everything we know about Jessica Alba's split from husband, Cash Warren.

On January 8, 2025, sources spilled to TMZ about Jessica Alba and Cash Warren's separation. The sources shared that the couple is allegedly "moving forward" with a divorce, so unfortunately it doesn't seem like this split is a short-term solution.

TMZreported that both Jessica and have gone in public without wedding rings recently — Jessica as recent as the Golden Globes afterparties on January 5, 2025. Apparently, one of the last times the two were spotted publicly was back in November 2024. Outside of that, the couple celebrated their son's birthday at Universal Studios together in January, but it's unclear how official the separation was at that point.

Well, Jessica just confirmed her split from Cash on Instagram. The actress shared:

I've been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years - both as an individual and in partnership with Cash. I'm proud of how we've grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it's now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.

We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.

A source toldUS Weekly that the couple could actually file for divorce "soon." The source said, "Cash has been slowly moving things out of their house but since the fires, they have been spending more time under one roof as a family. They are being there for each other right now as it is a very stressful time."

According to PEOPLE, Jessica and Cash got engaged in 2007, after meeting on the set of Fantastic Four back in 2004. They got married and stayed together for 16 years, welcoming three children to their family: Honor (16), Haven (13), and Hayes (7).

Back in 2021, Alba told PEOPLE that they tend to "over-communicate" in order to best support each other and their different needs. She said that they don't have a "secret" to making it work — they "just need to check in with each other."

Whatever happens next, we hope that Jessica, Cash, and their kids are able to find peace and happiness throughout this major transition.

Stop what you're doing because Rebecca Yarros just announced she's not done with the Empyrean series! I've been dragging my feet while reading Onyx Storm(I just don't want it to end, okay?!), but that hasn't stopped me from wondering what's next for Violet & co! The rollout for book no. 3 broke Target's website January 21st, so I know fans are currently losing their minds over any news they can get on the Empyrean books. Well, the Fourth Wingauthor has plenty more to share with us, thankfully!

Here are all the juicy details Rebecca Yarros spilled about the Empyrean series!

1. Don't Hold Your Breath For A Love Triangle

If you're looking for Violet and Xaden's romance to be complicated by someone else, you'll have to write your own fan fiction because Rebecca Yarros isn't having it. She appeared on Good Morning America and said, "I’m not really a fan of love triangles. I’m just not." But that's not a sign our favorite lovers won't face anymore troubling situations.

“Doesn’t mean I’m not going to make them work for it, though," Yarros added.

2. Violet & Xaden's Story Is Still Unfolding

Eager readers want to know if Violet & Xaden are endgame or destined to fail, but Rebecca's not giving us any spoilers. "I think you should read Onyx Storm, see where we leave off, kind of go from there," she continued. "But you never know. You’ve got [a romantic arc] across five books."

3. We'll Get More Of Xaden's POV

Xaden's not the first or last guy readers will fall for, but he's certainly cast his shadows over our hearts. Rebecca knows this and assured fans tuned into her segment that he has more to say. "I usually write one chapter in Xaden’s point of view per book ... and then sometimes there’s bonus chapters."

4. She's Writing Two More Books In The Empyrean Series, But We Have To Wait

According to PEOPLE, Onyx Storm is NOT the final book in the Empyrean Series. Also, Yarros already knows which direction books 4 and 5 are headed in. "They're plotted out but I haven't started [the next one]," she said because she's "taking a little bit of a break to rest and recuperate."

She talked about being on "deadline for two and half years" which sounds like she was under pressure to deliver something her fans would fall in love with. Her current goal is to give herself time before she jumps into "writing the next books," but she promises "they're coming."
