Get All the Details on Kenya Moore’s “Powerful and Feminine” Wedding Dress!
Kenya Moore shocked the world last week when she walked down the aisle with a mystery man she’d been dating for just a few months. Though we got a peek at the happy couple thanks to several shots she shared over on Instagram, details about Moore’s nuptials (and the man who shared them) remained largely under wraps.
Now, specifics about her big day are coming to light, including the identity of her husband (according to theDaily Mail, the man in question is SoCo business owner Marc Daly) and the custom Pallas Couture gown Moore had shipped to her straight from Australia.
Moore (and People) gave us an up close and personal view of the dress in a new shot which showcased its deep V-neck with sheer inset and bodice of embellished beading and floral appliqué. Halfway down, the design flowed into a sheer, delicate mermaid train.
For the reality starlet, it was love at first sight. “The dress was perfect when I saw it,” she gushed to People. “I’m a woman of a certain age, but my husband wanted me to look sexy. And it was a beach wedding, so I didn’t want anything too formal. I knew this was exactly what I wanted when I saw it…I just felt so beautiful and sexy and powerful and feminine — all at the same time.”
As for her hair and makeup, Moore went the DIY route, keeping things light and natural. “[Marc] really didn’t even want me to wear makeup because he said I look more beautiful when I don’t wear makeup,” she shared. (Awww!)
While undoubtedly gorgeous, the bride wasn’t overly showy, keeping in line with the newlywed couple’s desire to keep things toned down. As the 46-year-old told the outlet, “We wanted something simple and not overly complicated.” She added that Daly had a lot to do with the decision. “He didn’t want something for show. He didn’t want it to be left up to other people’s interpretation of love,” she said. “He just wanted it to be what he sees it: him looking into my eyes and us being together. It was just two people in love who wanted to get married.”
While the ceremony was kept intimate, Moore’s BFF, who fans might recognize from his appearances on the RHOA franchise, Brandon DeShazer was on hand, as was Moore’s Aunt Lori, to witness the event, but for those who missed out, she says not to worry: There will be a larger, more lavish affair next year. “We do plan on having a large wedding for all our friends and family next June, so we’ll have everyone there,” she teased.
We can’t wait to see dress number two!
