WTF: KFC Is Introducing… Gravy Cocktails!?

We’ve heard of some pretty wacky drink combos in our time: There’s coffee lemonade, for instance, or olive oil cocktails (which, we can say from experience, are surprisingly delicious). KFC UK and Ireland’s latest beverage concoctions, however, have us seriously scratching our heads.

Jumping on the growing “stocktail” bandwagon, a beverage trend which sees bartenders adding chicken, beef, pork, and turkey stocks to their drinks, the fast food chain decided to put its own spin on the craze by subbing in its famous gravy (yes, gravy!) goodness for stock with three new original beverage recipes.

“Our fans repeatedly express their love of gravy, which always sparks ideas within the team,” Marion Racine, the marketing manager at KFC UK & Ireland, told The Independent. “We know our gravy is good enough to drink, so with stocktails being a real hit at the moment, what better ingredient to take them to the next level?” she asked.

With a slogan of “So good you can drink it,” the eatery is sharing the recipes with fans in a series of YouTube videos that will leave you intrigued, if nothing else.

First up, the Gravy Mary, which calls for paprika, celery salt, a teaspoon of horseradish cream, hot sauce, and 20ml of Worcester sauce in a cocktail mixer before adding 50ml vodka of your choice, 15ml lemon juice, 90ml tomato juice, and 20ml KFC gravy shaken between two mixers.

Then, the Southern Twist, which sees parsley and brown sugar mixed together and coated with lemon to make a sugar rim. The drink itself is then made with a simple combination of 50ml bourbon combined with 60ml hot gravy.

As a mixologist named Patrick explained to the outlet, “The Kentucky bourbon in the Southern Twist brings mellow, sweet spice notes to stand up to the savory gravy.”

As for the parsley, Patrick said it “brightens the sip with the brown sugar softening the kick of bourbon and uniting the flavors.” Interesting!

Last but not least is The Fingerlickin’ Sour, a blend of 60ml gravy, 240ml Mezcal, which is frozen for three hours, then strained. From there, 50ml of the mixture is added to an egg white, 15ml of cherry liqueur, 25ml of lemon juice, a tablespoon of orange marmalade, and salt and pepper, all shaken in a mixer. The drink is garnished with lemon thyme.

If you’re still skeptical, we can’t say we blame you — the drinks aren’t exactly what one might call traditional. Then again, there’s only one way to find out… *Gulp*

I’ve seen (and indulged in) so many food trends in my day, and at this point, it can take a lot to really impress me. That being said, there’s one simple hack on the rise right now that truly has me in a chokehold – people have started adding matcha to their McDonald’s milkshakes, and it’s totally transformed how I see mass-produced milkshakes from here on out.

Scroll on to discover the viral milkshake hack that’ll have your matcha cravings running wild!

Nataliya Vaitkevich / PEXELS

As a certified matcha freak (yeah, I said it), I've been disappointed at the lack of matcha offerings amongst fast food giants like McDonald's, Wendy’s, In-N-Out, and more. Of course, Starbucks and Dunkin’ scoop out matcha on the daily, but it never comes in true dessert form!

@eatsbyrachel

That’s where this viral milkshake hack comes in – foodies have been pulling up to the drive-thru with their own doses of matcha prepped and ready, then adding it to vanilla or even strawberry milkshakes. Oh, yum! The matcha turns the frozen treats a gorgeous green color, and of course, gently caffeinates each sip.

Matheus Henrin / PEXELS

I think any theoretical matcha dessert offering from popular destinations like McDonald’s or In-N-Out would surely see an up-charge if the chains were adding in the green powder themselves, so I’m also stoked about this new method from the perspective of affordability.

Anna Pou / PEXELS

This hack also presents those who are not yet totally sold on matcha (um, how?!) with an accessible way to enjoy the powdered green tea blend. Matcha drinks have an infamous reputation for tasting either too grassy or too bitter (or both), so mixing it into a milkshake sweetens up each sip to the point that it doesn’t taste at all like a traditional latte – but a full-on dessert!

Taylor Musser / Dupe

You can apply this super easy food hack to just about any milkshake from any chain that sells milkshakes like McDonald’s, Wendy’s (need me a Frosty, stat), In-N-Out, Dairy Queen, Sonic, and more. I suggest you pick your favorite place and try it out ASAP!

Thin Mints are undeniably the best Girl Scout cookie flavor, which is why I’m so pumped that Wendy's Thin Mints Frosty is finally here!

That’s right – Wendy’s gave their regular Frosty roster a tasty upgrade in lieu of Girl Scout cookie season. It’s ahh-mazing!

Read on for everything we know about the Wendy’s Thin Mints Frosty.

Wendy's

Starting February 21, you can order the Thin Mints Frosty from Wendy’s. The chain teamed up with Girl Scouts of the USA for the all-new flavor, which was initially announced on January 27. I've been counting down the days to the launch since!

Wendy's

The Thin Mints Frosty is concocted with a mint-chocolate swirl that uses actual Thin Mints cookies to create a “crumbly, cookie butter-esque texture.” As far as the Frosty base goes, you’ll be able to order it in either of Wendy’s classic Frosty flavors: vanilla or chocolate.

Girl Scouts of the USA

Though I haven't tried it yet, I anticipate that the Thin Mints Frosty will simply be a 10/10 treat – or perhaps even a solid 11 or 12/10! It’s widely known that the crispy chocolate cookies are always better straight from the freezer (at least in my family), so knowing they're going to be incorporated into a frozen treat is truly so exciting.

Wendy's + Girl Scouts of the USA

The Thin Mints Frosty is available nationwide – but only for a limited-time – starting Friday, February 21.

Girl Scouts of the USA

The 2025 Girl Scout cookie season began on January 7 with 12 flavors available for purchase. Girl Scouts of the USA did sadly announce two flavors, Girl Scout S’mores and Toast-Yay!, will not return for the 2026 cookie season.

I luckily don’t see Thin Mints going anywhere – they’re a cult favorite!

Everyone's favorite social satire series, The White Lotus, has returned for a new season on HBO. Set in Thailand, Season 3 is taking viewers on another dramatic (and sometimes uncomfortable) journey with a fresh group of affluent travelers.

Well, the cast does have two returning stars: Natasha Rothwell as Belinda Lindsey and Jon Gries as Greg. Then some of the newcomers include Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, Sam Nivola, Walton Goggins, Lisa Manobal, and Charlotte Le Bon.

One more star, Aimee Lou Wood, has especially stood out to fans. She plays Chelsea and has delivered a captivating performance thus far as Rick's younger girlfriend. Aside from her intriguing portrayal, many viewers have also been fascinated by her unique look — more specifically, her teeth. Aimee, who is British, has confirmed that her teeth are real, and her unique smile is actually something that's affected her career in Hollywood.

Scroll to see what The White Lotus star, Aimee Lou Wood said about all THOSE teeth comments...

The actress, who's 30 years old, detailed how, when it came to theater auditions, she always felt confident. Yet, she'd be "shocked" to get a call back after auditioning for a TV role.

It wasn't until 2009, when Georgia May Jagger, who also has a distinct smile with a gap, became the face of Rimmel London, that Aimee felt more secure in her look.

"All of a sudden, it went from me being goofy to, 'Oh, you're a bit of a model, aren't you?' So I want to thank Georgia May Jagger for representing the buck teeth," she shared with Stylist back in 2020.

Aimee has maintained her British accent on The White Lotus, which makes sense, given the show's premise is about entitled world travelers who encounter dark circumstances or fates. Interestingly, though, she recently discussed her belief that she wouldn't be able to convincingly portray an American character due to her teeth.

"It's the teeth. Like, no Americans have my teeth. They just don't. I'd have to get veneers. Because... I think that genuinely is like one of the things," she revealed to On Demand Entertainment.

But while many celebs have already gone the veneer route, Aimee is proud that she hasn't. It makes her feel "a bit rebellious." Plus, ever since landing her latest role on the show, she's reportedly received "hundreds of messages" from fans who've appreciated seeing unique smiles like theirs on-screen.

"People going, 'Oh my god, you've got teeth like mine. Now I go to school, and people think I'm cool because I look like Aimee.' Instead of it being 'Bugs Bunny' or whatever," Aimee explained.

So, while she battled insecurities about her teeth during childhood, she's definitely become a representation icon for girls and women everywhere.

To see what happens to Aimee's character next, as well as the rest of the cast, you can catch new episodes of The White Lotus on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and stream on Max.
