Kim Kardashian Seems to Have Blocked the Snake Emoji from Her Instagram Comments
Taylor Swift has been dominating social media this week, teasing her new album Reputation with short clips of a creepy snake. Many assume sheβs reclaiming the serpent after being called a snake and then spammed with snake emojis during her falling out withΒ Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Now, according to some sleuthing by BuzzFeed, Kardashian appears to have blocked snake emojis from her Instagram comments, and Swift fans are LIVING for the irony.
Back in the summer of 2016, Instagram developed a filter that could automatically delete whatever words and emojis users wanted from their comments. Swift, who had forever been pegged a snake thanks to the below tweet from Kardashian, was one of the first accounts to test it, and soon, her feed was snake free.

Now, Kardashianβs Instagram comments are also snake free. BuzzFeed tried to comment a snake on Kardashianβs latest pic and, sure enough, it didnβt show up. Swift fans were amused by the revelation, to say the least.

Unfortunately for Kardashian, Twitter doesnβt have the same specific blocking function as Instagram, and Swifties are flooding Kardashianβs Twitter mentions with the little green emoji. Take a look:

You get the picture.
Of course, we donβt know how long Kardashian has had the snake filtered out of her IG feed, or whether it had anything to do with the timing of Swiftβs album announcement. Regardless, weβre sure sheβs glad she did it when she did β the Swift album cycle is just ramping up.
