8 Exciting Activities To Do In Las Vegas If You Don't Drink

las vegas activities

For most people Las Vegas is a one-stop shop for all things drinking and gambling. However, for those who don’t drink, it might seem like there’s not much to do — but that’s actually not the case at all! There are lots of shows, restaurants, and attractions to visit to make the most of your time in the entertainment capital of the world. I’ve gathered a list of what to do in Las Vegas if you don’t drink so you can still join in on the fun whether you’re in town for a bachelorette party, birthday trip, or family reunion.

RuPaul's Drag Race Live/Instagram

Go See RuPaul’s Drag Race Live

Since Las Vegas is known for its entertainment offerings, you’ll want to snag a ticket to RuPaul’s Drag Race Live at The Flamingo. This 90-minute show brings fan-favorite queens from the hit TV show to the big stage to perform and lip-sync in an epic battle for the crown. From death drops to duck walks, you’ll never know what’s next at RPDR Live. Plus, the queens switch roughly every six weeks so the cast is ever changing so you’ll never see the same show twice! After the show, head on over to the gift shop which is themed after the Werk Room where you can purchase t-shirts, magnets, umbrellas, and other souvenirs to remember your time in Sin City.

Ocean Prime

Eat At A Fancy Restaurant

Foodies, listen up! Las Vegas has tons of top-rated restaurants with highly-trained chefs from all over the world. If you’re craving fish or steak, then head on over to Ocean Prime Steakhouse for a delicious meal and top-tier service located next to the Crystal Shops. I tried the Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli and French Onion soup, and I’m still thinking about them both a week later. Not only was the food excellent, but our server essentially put on a show for us with his lively personality and in-depth recommendations.

Another great restaurant is Top of the World at The STRAT Hotel which provides 360-degree views of Las Vegas with its rotating dining room located 800 feet in the air. While you dine, you’ll be captivated by the stunning views and even some bungee jumpers coming from two floors above. Be sure to ask your server about the butter cake for dessert because it’s one of the best sweet treats in LV.

Visit The Las Vegas Arts District

After eating at Top of the World, take a walk over to the arts district which is home to the viral $10 tattoo shops, antique stores, and delicious restaurants. Stop by the Antique Alley Mall and browse through 65+ vendors that have vintage clothing, furniture, home decor, and more available for purchase. Disney enthusiasts will find tons of old-school Mickey Mouse plush toys and retro snow globes that’ll bring back some nostalgia too.

Aside from antique pieces, you’ll also find colorful murals on the walls of buildings in the arts district. The popular "Greetings from Las Vegas" mural can be found there alongside other colorful installations that make for the perfect picture spots. Your Insta-feed will thank you, trust me.

Take Photos On The Strip

Not looking to spend a lot? Taking photos on the strip is free, and luckily there are tons of landmarks and statues to pose next to. For example, snap a picture in front of the Bellagio fountains or next to the Statue of Liberty at the New York, New York Hotel. Other popular photo spots include inside The Venetian, at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and outside the Las Vegas Eiffel Tower Experience. A good idea is to walk the strip and look at each of the hotels because you’ll find installations, murals, and architecture that serve as the perfect backdrop for photos.

The Venetian

Go Resort Hopping

As you take photos along the strip, you’ll need a much needed break from the sun — that’s when you want to go resort hopping. Whether you want to check out the pool at The Vdara Hotel & Spa, the food court at The Aria, or the gondolas at The Venetian, there is something for everyone at the resorts. Keep in mind that the resorts can be crowded as people are not only staying there, but many people also hop around the strip to see what each location has to offer.

Hello Kitty Cafe

Visit The Hello Kitty Cafe

Channel your inner kid at heart by taking a trip to the Hello Kitty Cafe. There’s a more formal location at Fashion Show Las Vegas and a food truck located closer to the heart of the strip at The Park MGM. Regardless of the location you choose, you’ll find a menu filled with sweet treats inspired by Hello Kitty and her friends. Plus, there’s a selection of merchandise available at the cafe to choose from including plush toys, pins, and pillows.

V Theater + Sax Theater

See A Magic Show

Interested in magic? Nathan Burton has the number one afternoon magic show in Las Vegas for people of all ages. Whether you’re a fan of card tricks or illusions, get a ticket for Burton’s magic show which combines everything together in a 90-minute production filled with confetti and showgirls. We're just a little over four months away from the premiere of Gladiator 2and the anticipation is real. It's no secret that we've been imagining what Paul Mescal will look like while he's in battle, but we were admittedly unprepared for the first look at him as Lucius. Just typing the name makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside. Maybe even spicy.

But Vanity Fairtruly gave us a treat because they shared even more BTS looks at the Gladiator 2 cast. By the looks of it, this movie is going be the pre-Thanksgiving treat we talk about over dinner.

www.instagram.com

We just have one question: Is it too late to apply to be extras in Gladiator 2? Based on Paul Mescal's muscles, it appears his character Lucius has been training for the exact moment he'll enter the area to fight his opponents.

Just look at his stance in the first image. That is the stance of a confident man who's strategically planning how to take down whoever dares to approach him with malicious intent in their eyes.

Aside from that, we're excited to see Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Denzel Washington, and Joseph Quinn lose themselves in their characters. Speaking of Joseph Quinn, we almost didn't recognize him as Emperor Geta!

www.instagram.com

Lucius definitely looks like he knows how to skillfully wield a sword — and do serious damage to his opponents. Also, there's something in his eyes that signals he is not there to lose.

No one ever said being a gladiator would be easy, but a part of us wishes we could be the extras that wipe the blood and sweat from Lucius' brow after each battle. Alas, we'll just have to pine for him from afar.

We hope you have as much fun scrolling through Vanity Fair's first look at Gladiator 2 as we are.

P.S. We won't tell anyone if you screenshot a few of these pics...for research.

With that in mind, here's what all you can expect in your weekly horoscope!

Weekly Horoscope Themes For July 1-7

Tanya Staton

This week presents opportunities to explore our relationships and things that bring happiness. The love planet Venus is in the sign of Cancer, and it will be our guiding celestial body, shedding light on where we are in our journey regarding relationships and emotional security. Like last week, the best course in navigating Cancer season is to align primarily with your heart and intuition to help narrow down the root of your needs.

Listen carefully before reacting.

We begin the week by focusing on deepening our emotional connections and commitments, as Venus is in sextile with Juno on July 1. If you are in a relationship, your union will turn toward harmony as you engage in heartfelt discussions while factoring in compassion for past misunderstandings. If you're not in a relationship and need to make amends with anyone else who pulls your heartstrings, you can get to the source of your disconnect. If this isn't possible, write a letter, journal, or meditate on what you desire to release to attract peace.

Energetically, you will experience a breakthrough in your love story as you open your heart.

The veil begins to lift as Neptune's retrograde starts on July 2. It will remain in this backspin motion until October 11. You are encouraged to reflect on your spiritual beliefs and intentions in life. Slow down and assess your approach to living your authentic self while becoming aligned with your soul. This retrograde period also invites you to reassess your dreams and bring the truth to light regarding unresolved matters. On the same day, Mercury enters Leo, infusing you with the ability to articulate your ideas with confidence and charisma. If you're also in need of star power in your relationship, this day will fully support you if you wish to initiate a conversation regarding structure and intention with Venus in trine to Saturn. Prioritize your responsibilities while narrowing down what's needed to create stability in your love life. It will also be favorable to solidify your bonds and make practical investments.

On July 3, be mindful of intense communications and power struggles as Mercury opposes Pluto. This aspect may bring hidden tensions to the surface, urging you to navigate through deep psychological insights and potential conflicts. Then, the New Moon in Cancer on July 5 marks a powerful new beginning in matters of home, family, and emotional security. Set intentions for nurturing relationships and creating a supportive environment for personal growth. Factor intuition and perform a manifestation ritual involving what you desire within your emotional security.

Healing in relationships takes center stage on July 6 with Venus square Chiron. This planetary duo highlights vulnerabilities and past wounds, encouraging you to hold a compassionate space for yourself and others. This day will show how to step into your self-acceptance regarding unresolved issues. Let go and believe in your light as you focus on the good you have done solo or in a partnership. Observe your relationship dynamics with empathy and openness to facilitate healing and growth. July 7 brings surprises and opportunities for excitement in both love and creativity with Venus sextile Uranus. Expect a flash of insight or inspiration that will ignite innovation and spontaneity in your relationships and artistic endeavors. Mercury sextile Jupiter on the same day will boost your mental agility, bringing optimism and positive communication. This aspect supports learning, travel, and sharing ideas, making it an excellent time for broadening your perspective and seeking new opportunities. Overall, this week invites deep emotional insights, healing in relationships, and expansive growth in creativity and communication. Stay open to new experiences and embrace the transformative energies at play.

If there’s one aspect of Harry Potter that has stuck with me all these years, it’s the snacks. Butterbeer! Pumpkin juice! The Hogwarts Express Trolley! Every time I watch any of my favorite Harry Potter movies, I can’t help but crave sweets. If you’re in the same boat (AKA you need a trip to The Three Broomsticks, like, yesterday), then you absolutely must check out Food Network’s new Harry Potter baking show. Not only is Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking being hosted by two of the movies' actors, but it's also being filmed at the studios you know and love. Whip up some Harry Potter cocktails and let's get baking!

What is the wizarding world cooking show?

RDNE Stock project/Pexels

Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking is a baking competition show that's all about the Wizarding World. According to the official Instagram announcement, "pastry chefs will craft spellbinding sweet creations inspired by the @wizardingworld of @HarryPotter." We're in for endless chocolate frogs, polyjuice potions, and butterbeers.

The best part is that the series will be filmed at the Warner Bros. Studio in London (which, FYI, is where all the movies were filmed), which makes the show even more magical!

When is the Harry Potter baking show coming out?

Anastasia Ankudinova/Pexels

We know the show is coming later this year, but we don't have an official release date quite yet. Considering September 1 is Back to Hogwarts Day, the fall and the holidays are the perfect time for Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking to air!

Where can I watch Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking?

Taryn Elliott/Pexels

Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking will premiere on Food Network, and it'll be available to stream on Max.

Who's hosting Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking?

Andreas Rentz/Getty Images

The new Harry Potter baking show will be hosted by James and Oliver Phelps, who played the Weasley twins in the movies! We're also in for some special guests, which I hope includes other members of the Harry Potter cast. Somebody get Bonnie Wright, Emma Watson, and Tom Felton on the phone puh-lease.

What movie sets will be in the Harry Potter baking show?

The official description says we'll see Hogwarts' Great Hall, Platform 9¾, Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and The Burrow, among other sets, props, and costumes.

All episodes of The Bear season 3 are finally available to stream on Hulu! This season, it's all about Carmy, Sydney, Richie, and the rest of the gang bringing The Bear's culinary excellence (read: chaos) to the public, and creator Chris Storer offers us plenty of flashbacks to provide even more context for what's happening in the present.

All the emotion and anxiety we see throughout the season continues right up until the (very intense) final moments. After all, it wouldn't be a The Bear finale if it didn't end on a massive cliffhanger. Before we look to season 4, here's exactly what happened during The Bear season 3 ending.

What did the end of The Bear season 3 mean?

FX

Ironing out the details of The Bear's menu, service, and non-negotiables during the restaurant's first month is anything but calm. Carmy learns the Chicago Tribune has written up a review that's dropping any day, and after plenty of unpleasant financial conversations, Jimmy reveals that if the review is bad, he's cutting them off financially. Carmy, Jimmy, and Natalie are waiting for Sydney to sign their partnership agreement, unaware she's been offered a role at Adam Shapiro's new restaurant. To top it off, Andrea Terry's announcement that she's closing her restaurant Ever only emphasizes how unstable everything around Carmy, Sydney, and the team feels.

The funeral for Ever feels like a reunion and a holiday all in one. Carmy reunites with both Will Poulter's Luca and Joel McHale's David — and we see him finally express the psychological damage David did to him, an exorcism of sorts as Esquire's Brady Langmann puts it.

Of course, Carmy is totally unaware that he's hurting Sydney in the same way, but a highlight of the episode for me is seeing Sydney chat it up with Luca in the kitchen. Whether it's totally friendly or totally flirty is up for interpretation but there's no denying Will Poulter is a fresh and fun addition to the group. What do we have to do to see Luca move to Chicago?!

What happens in the final moments of The Bear season 3?

FX

After Ever's funeral, Sydney welcomes Andrea, Luca, and everyone from The Bear to her new apartment for a party, but ends up leaving to have a mini panic attack in the stairwell when she's confronted with her time with Carmy. You can feel the tension between Sydney's two choices because while I want to believe Carmy will change and The Bear's work environment can one day look like Ever's, I'm starting to wonder if that will ever actually happen.

Meanwhile, Carmy opens his phone to see that the Chicago Tribune review is live — and that he's missed multiple calls from Jimmy and their financial advisor Computer. A quick montage of words (both positive and negative) flash across the screen before we see TO BE CONTINUED. The cliffhanger of season 2's freezer has been replaced by the season 3's review, and we'll have to wait for season 4 to see the fallout.

Let us know what you thought about The Bear season 3's ending on Facebook!
