See Lauren Bush Lauren’s Traditional Baby Name + Sweet Baby Announcement

While we’re all for the Apples and Kingstons of the mini celebrity world, we also don’t mind taking baby name inspiration from the more traditional picks. Lauren Bush Lauren, CEO of FEED Projects and granddaughter of former Prez George H.W. Bush, became a first-time mom over the weekend with husband David Lauren (son of designer Ralph Lauren and Executive VP of his father’s brand — yes, this is one famous fam). Their classic baby name and sweet social baby announcements just might make you go “aww.”

The itty bitty little boy was born on Saturday morning, and the proud new parents decided to forgo a creative baby name and instead give him the more traditional moniker James. James Lauren. That certainly has an elegant touch to it, and has been a baby name in lights in the past year with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds also giving it to their little girl.

The couple took to their respective Instagrams to post the news about the birth. Lauren wrote in her caption, “Welcome to the world sweet baby James, born yesterday morning on November 21st at 8:19am! @davidlauren and I are beyond thrilled and in love!”

Even Lauren’s mama Sharon Bush took to her social media to share this sweet photo of the new mom with baby James. All three generations in one pic is super adorable. And we have to say, Lauren looks positively glowing post-partum.

Congratulations to the new parents!

Even with that extra day in February thanks to Leap Year, it feels crazy that March is already here! Especially if you’re a mama or papa-to-be and nearing your March due date. Still stuck on which name to choose? Fortunately, March is full of holidays and symbols to help inspire some creative, seasonal baby names. We got the ball rolling, drawing inspiration from St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, the first day of spring and even more offbeat choices like March Madness and World Poetry Day!

March Baby Name Ideas For 2024

Not only do these March baby names have some beautiful meanings (plus they honestly just sound super cool), but the best part is that a lot of them are gender-neutral! Plus, Blake Lively's kids prove you can rock any name you want, even if it's a little unconventional at the time. Keep reading for the ultimate springtime baby names.

March Baby Names for Boys

  • Devin: If your baby boy makes an appearance around March 21, give him this Irish name meaning “poet” in honor of World Poetry Day.
  • Diaz: With Daylight Saving Time just around the corner, longer, brighter days are as well. Celebrate their return with this Spanish last-name-as-a-first-name.
  • Hooper: If you’re feeling a touch of March Madness coming on, this hoops-inspired name is a unique option that’s still not too out of the ordinary (its cousin Cooper is plenty popular, after all).
  • Leo: We were going to suggest this name due to the old March “in like a lion, out like a lamb” idiom, but let’s face it — now we’re just suggesting it because of Leo DiCaprio.
  • Marius: The month of March is named for Mars, God of War, but if you want to dub your boy with a less planetary-sounding name, try this Latin alternative.

  • Palmer: This is a great last-name-as-a-first-name for Palm Sunday babies, and it won’t be out of place in the classroom at all with all the Parkers, Archers, and Sawyers out there.
  • Pascal: Pascal is simply the French word for Easter, but it's also a great reference to our favorite new Fantastic Four hero, Pedro Pascal. You can vary the spelling by going Spanish (Pasqual) or Cornish (Pascoe).
  • Patrick: Everyone’s favorite Irish celebration falls on March 17. Need we say more?
  • Rainn: March is always unpredictable when it comes to the weather, so if it ends up being a wet month, this is one way to put a positive spin on the rain. (This spelling is borrowed from The Office’s Rainn Wilson.)
  • Samson: And if you get lucky and have a sunshiny March instead? This Biblical name means “sun.”

March Baby Names for Girls

  • Ava: Spring is all about rebirth and new life, and so is this lovely name.
  • Blossom: Not gonna lie, this is a tough name to pull off if your aesthetic isn’t floppy hats and appliqué flowers. But if Mayim Bialik can move past her ‘90s TV show days, so can the name Blossom, which is perfectly suited for springtime babies.
  • Chloe: This Top 100 staple for girls is a great choice for your little lady, as it has the spring season written all over it — it means “young, green shoot.”
  • Clover: Looking for a botanic-inspired name for a baby born in March? This four-leafed St. Patrick’s Day symbol is ideal, not to mention very lucky!
  • Edda: Pronounced similarly to Etta, this is a Norse name meaning “poetry.”

Image via Pixabay/Pexels

  • Marina: March’s birthstone is the aquamarine, and while it’s a totally gorgeous gem, it’s a little on the nose for a girl’s name. Try this aquatic alternative.
  • Narcissa: Daffodils are a telltale first sign of spring, but the name may be a little too… daffy for a girl to grow up with. Consider the flower’s other name, narcissus (although Harry Potterfans may find it hard to disassociate from a certain Malfoy).
  • Poesy: If the pronunciation of this name is a little tricky (it has three syllables, just like its meaning, poetry), you can always opt for the flowery name Posey instead, which would also be perfect for spring.
  • Robin: Even if March is still snowy in your neck of the woods, you always know spring is coming by the appearance of these red-breasted birds.
  • Soleil: March is the light at the end of the dark, wintry tunnel, which is why this “sunny” French name is a bright name for your baby.

We all know the Yellowstone season 5 cast is stacked: Kelly O'Reilly, Wes Bentley, Luke Grimes, Kelsey Asbille — and now Bella Hadid?! Yep, that's right, the model showed up on the latest episode of the TV show and the internet is going crazy. Not only because Bella is in the show (and she's an incredible equestrian) but also the fact that creator Taylor Sheridan cast her as his onscreen girlfriend.

Keep reading for everything you need to know about Bella Hadid's Yellowstone cameo — and the internet's reaction.

Was that Bella Hadid on Yellowstone?

Paramount

Well yes, that was Bella Hadid on Yellowstone. Good eye! The actress appeared in season 5, episode 13, "Give The World Away." When Beth Dutton (played by Kelly Reilly) shows up at Travis Wheatley's ranch, she's greeted by Travis' girlfriend Sadie (Bella Hadid) instead of the horse trainer himself (who's played by creator Taylor Sheridan).

As the episode progresses, we see Beth and Sadie start to bond (or at least, we see Beth try to figure out why Sadie's with Travis) and Sadie hops on a horse herself. If there's one thing that will solidify the return of the Western aesthetic, it's Bella Hadid wearing a cowboy hat.

And this isn't the first time Bella has showed off her horseback riding skills! Her boyfriend Adan Banuelos posted a video on November 3 of Bella competing, saying "Bella rode 3 horses and qualified to 7 different finals, bringing home her first CHAMPIONSHIP buckle! We continue to be proud of her in (and out) of the arena."

The model and actress' 'Ôrəbella Alchemy Foundation also works with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) to provide therapeutic and adaptive horseback riding for individuals for special needs.

After the new Yellowstone episode aired, the internet simply couldn't help but roast Taylor Sheridan (who's 54) for casting the 28-year-old Bella Hadid as his own girlfriend.

"Taylor Sheridan making Bella Hadid his girlfriend in 'Yellowstone' is objectively hilarious," @spaseycasey tweeted, while @rigginsslim says making Taylor's character "the Dutton savior + coolest guy in the universe" while "1/3 of it is him shirtless [and] he’s f—king Literally Bella Hadid" isn't even "the top 5 dumbest parts of the episode."

However, it looks like this was the push some of Bella's fans needed to start the show! "starting yellowstone because bella hadid made a cameo in it," @cardiganfml tweeted. (I literally cannot judge considering I started 1923 after seeing Brandon Sklenar in It Ends With Us).

Bella Hadid wasn't the only guest star on this week's episode of 'Yellowstone'

In addition to Bella, we also saw Blake Lively's brother-in-law Bart Johnson make a guest appearance. The High School Musical star's character has the audacity to try and hit on Beth during a girls' night out. Read the room!

What did you think of this week's Yellowstone episode? I can't believe next week is the finale! Check out why Paramount+'s New Drama Landman Will Fill The Yellowstone Void In Your Life.

2024 is flying by. It feels like just yesterday you were setting your New Year’s resolutions (which probably included deciding on the perfect baby name), and now your February due date is here! Here are 16 boys’ and girls’ names that have ties to all of our favorite things about the month of February, including Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, horoscope signs and leap year. Scroll on for charming, creative baby names befitting a kiddo born this month.

The Best Girls' Names For February Babies in 2024

1. Amethyst: The pretty purple gem is also a lovely name for a girl, who could go by Amy for short. It’s a perfect February pick for two reasons: It’s the February birthstone, and the name Amy means “beloved.”

2. February: Practically every other month has been turned into a first name, so give this one a chance. We all thought January was pretty crazy before Ms. Jones hit the scene, didn’t we? As Nameberry points out, cute nicknames include Airy and Rue.

3. Primrose: Calling all Hunger Games fans: Katniss’s brave little sister is one of the few characters whose name was originally from our time. The primrose is one of February’s birth flowers.

4. Rosa: As we all know, a Rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, so put a spin on the Valentine’s Day flower with a slight variation on the traditional name. Or take it further: Rosalie, Rosemary, Rosetta…

5. Sadie: In some Irish and British traditions, women propose to men on a leap year day. Sound familiar? Here in the States, we have a similar role-swapping custom known as the Sadie Hawkins Dance, making Sadie a perfect first name for a little leap lady.

6. Tallulah: Speaking of leap day, the name Tallulah means “leaping water.” It’s also come a long way from being Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s unusual choice for their daughter — it became one of the hottest names of the last decade!

7. Valentina: If your bundle of love arrives on Valentine’s Day, you simply can’t go wrong with this gorgeous Latin moniker, used in languages as different as Italian, Spanish and Russian.

8. Violet: February’s other birth flower, in addition to primrose, is the violet. Purple lovers are spoiled for choice when it comes to finding a name for their little ones.

1. Abe: With Presidents’ Day in the middle of February, it’s a good time to give a nod to one of our greatest leaders, President Lincoln.

2. Ash: In some Celtic traditions, the ash is one of the symbolic trees of February, representing creativity, free thinking and inspiration.

3. Aziz: Popularized by Parks and Recreation goofball, Modern Romance author and Master of None Netflix creator, Aziz Ansari, Aziz in Arabic means “powerful and beloved.”

4. Julian: Before the current Gregorian calendar, there was the Julian calendar, developed by Julius Caesar. You can thank him for adding the leap day to the calendar by giving your February leap year baby this very appropriate name.

5. Lev/Liev: Heart-shaped chocolates, heart-shaped cookies, heart-shaped candies… There’s no doubt that hearts are instantly associated with the lovey-dovey month of February. That’s just what this Hebrew (and its Yiddish counterpart) mean.

6. Quinn: This Irish name, meaning “chief leader” and “intelligence,” is a good pick.

7. Ren: The zodiacs for February are both water-related (Aquarius and Pisces), so an aquatic name like Ren, meaning “water lily, lotus” is a fitting choice. Bonus points: Star Wars fans can give a little shoutout to Kylo Ren ;)

8. Rowan: Like the name Ash, the rowan is another symbolic tree of February. It’s also suited to ginger babies, as it means “little redhead.”

If you're anything like me, you treat Christmas like a whole fashion show. Whether it’s a wholesome family dinner or a (not so wholesome) party with hometown friends, I always plan to pull a look or two.

As opposed to years past, I’m looking to shake up my Christmas outfits a bit, playing with multiple patterns, cozy (yet stylish) layers, and, of course, a good pair of boots. Looking for inspo along those lines? We’ve got all the Christmas outfit ideas you need to stun at this year’s festivities.

Check out these 12 Christmas outfit ideas you have our full permission to copy this season!

Kayla Walden

Sparkles are extremely festive this time of year – go all out with a sequined dress to really embrace the Christmas spirit! You can find so many similar options at Anthropologie and Nordstrom. When paired with some cute ballet flats, you'll be feelin' like a little Christmas fairy in no time.

Haley Sprankle

A blazer will never fail to make your Christmas outfits look sophisticated. Layer one on top of a basic cable knit sweater for a classic feel (that'll also keep you super warm)! From there, trousers or tailored jeans will do. Don't forget to accessorize with red Christmas nails and a bold red lip color!

Jasmine Williams

Layers, layers, layers: it's the name of the Christmas outfit game, especially if you live somewhere super cold. But a practical 'fit doesn't have to be boring! Start with a comfy turtleneck and pants (over some leggings for extra warmth), then go crazy by mixing colors and patterns. This plaid + leather combo will be on repeat. Step into your favorite winter boots to bolden up the look!

Ali Ives

Statement jackets are the way to go. This leather one is lined with a furry material that not only holds in your body heat during outdoor excursions, but looks so chic, too. Layer one with some leggings, a black mini dress, and a bright red sweater like this one so you feel cozy all day long! Don't forget the boots, either! 😍

Haley Sprankle

Hair bows are the perfect accessory to rock alongside your Christmas outfits. From sleek sweaters like this one to more formal dresses, they fit the occasion oh-so nicely.

Haley Sprankle

For a *spicier* holiday get-up, don't hesitate to reach for your fave tall boots and little black dress. It's a no-fail combo! With an all-black situation like this one, you won't have to spend extra time worrying about if your outfit is matching perfectly or not. Wear the two pieces with some sheer black tights, or get creative with colored ones, like a bold red or sparkly white.

Kayla Walden

If your personal style leans more preppy, this is the Christmas outfit idea to copy: loafers and a pleated skirt instantly make you look dressed up, but the nice part is you're not sacrificing comfort for style one bit. This outfit formula can span over endless color combos, but we particularly love the burgundy-leaning look with this one.

Meredith Holser

You can never go wrong with a good green or red plaid dress. Bonus points if it's vintage, like this one! You can easily dress it up with tights and a cardigan, with boots or ballet flats to match!

Kayla Walden

Velvet dresses have our hearts (and closets). The material evokes a very vintage-y Christmas vibe that you can style over and over again. We're currently eyeing similar styles to this one from Target and Anthropologie!

Rachael Sprankle

Sequins shine again! If it's Christmas party time, you truly cannot go wrong with an eye-catching ensemble like this one. You'll leave the whole crowd stunned. A sequined dress also makes for some ahh-mazing Instagram pics! 📸

Ali Ives

Bundling up this winter doesn't have to be drab. Throw on a plaid scarf on top of a layered look to embrace all the Christmas vibes!

Kayla Walden

Playing with different materials and non-traditional color combos might just surprise you when it comes to creating the coolest Christmas outfits. For instance, this 'fit combines leather and suede, which contrast each other beautifully. You also might not immediately think of black and brown working well together, but this outfit idea defies all fashion "rules" in that regard.

Haley Sprankle

For a Christmas-y night out (ahem, bar crawl, anyone?), don your cutest holiday sweater with some comfy jeans and boots. We've found some really great options for fun holiday sweaters that are still super stylish!

Haley Sprankle

Get you a good tall black boot, and your Christmas outfit ideas will go far. They work wonderfully with everything from maxi dresses to midi skirts!

Kayla Walden

No matter what you wear this Christmas, there's always room for a playful (and festive!) hair bow.
