Long hair is always going to be something that women admire. What we can realize is that more often than not, it’s not always natural hair that’s looking so fly in the magazines. As you know, long hair offers up its own set of challenges, and actually requires more maintenance than most think. Long hair will always be a trend, but make sure it’s a trend that’s going to fit your lifestyle. Hair is your best accessory, and should be used to enhance your look. If you have long hair and feel stuck, maybe it’s not styling like it should, or you’re constantly wearing it up. Here are a few questions you can ask yourself when deciding whether to keep it or cut it. Share these questions with your stylist when deciding what is best for you.

1. Is your long hair a security blanket? Long hair can be a comfort to many, but if you’re hanging on to long locks, make sure it’s for the right reasons. Your hair should make you feel confident, rather than being something you hide behind. We are all beautiful in our own way — find what makes YOU feel best.

2. Are you damaging your hair by NOT getting it cut? Many women think that if they don’t cut their hair for an extended period of time, it will grow longer. Which, for the uncolored, natural hair may be true. But in many cases, if you leave your ends untouched, they are going to get dry, brittle and prone to breakage. So, by the time your hair has grown out, it will be anything but healthy. Worst of all, that breakage will eventually stunt your hair’s growth. Keep those ends clean; get a cut every 6-8 weeks.

3. Would it be easier to take the plunge in stages? You may have this great cut in mind, but can’t bring yourself to do it all at once. There’s nothing wrong with doing it in stages. Enjoy this fun process — start with a few inches and come back when you’re ready to do more. You will grow to like the cut, and it won’t be such a shock.

4. Is long hair the right look for your face shape? This is possibly the most beneficial question. At the end of the day, it’s about you feeling beautiful (YOU DO YOU), but it might help to consider which cut will complement your natural features best.

5. Does long hair fit your lifestyle? If you have a really professional job that requires you to look very put together, a ponytail is not the best option. If your hair too long to style, do away with some inches. You can still put your hair up when it’s shorter. Braids in particular can always spice up a look, so instead of ponytails every day, try adding some flair.

Despite the fact that paparazzi love to see (and often follow) celebrity couples, Freddie just revealed how he and Sarah have been able to keep things low-key. When Oldish's podcast co-host Randy Spelling asked how they stay out of the public — and how intentional they have to be to keep a low profile — Freddie said it's "by choice," and that "you can control it to a certain degree."

"I don't know how deliberate [others] are in trying to avoid that BS," he said on the podcast. "I know how easy it's been for us because I don't go anywhere. I don't go to parties. People don't see Sarah and I out and about at the popular places. We have our restaurants that we like, and they're not super trendy in places where paparazzi hang out. So we're good at avoiding it."

Celebrity hairstylist Justine Marjan began by blowdrying her mane into a center part. She then straightened from Graham’s roots down to her ends, using the ghd Platinum + Stlyer ($249), pulling away from the face and back towards the crown in the process. Next, she brushed from her hairline back to her crown and secured with a clear elastic after applying TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Hold Gel ($5) along the way. She repeated the process for the bottom section of strands and put the full ponytail into a hairnet before twisting into a bun and securing with French pins. The Riverdale actress attended The Art of Elysium’s 11th Annual Black Tie celebration, HEAVEN, donning a little black bow to top off her all-black ensemble. “I felt like we could add a modern element,” says celebrity hairstylist Bridget Brager. “So I purposed a half-up, half-down look with a center part, I kept the lengths straight with a tiny flip.” To score the flyaway-free finish, she applied a dime-size amount of Moroccanoil Treatment ($34) to the mid-lengths and ends, as well as a golf ball-sized dollop of mousse, before drying with a Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer ($400) and a large round brush. Next, she parted her hair down the middle, secured a half-up ponytail on each side, and a spritzed with Oribe Superfine Hairspray ($38) to lock both into place. The Destroyer Best Actress in a Drama Motion Picture nominee walked the 2019 Golden Globes red carpet wearing a black velvet bow in her hair. “It was Nicole’s stylist Julia [von Boehm]’s idea, and I loved it,” celebrity hairstylist Kylee Heath says. “We wanted to have the hair up, but with a detail to tie in the black shoes.” To bring the idea to life, Heath began by blowdrying Kidman’s hair. She then sectioned the front out and pulled the rest into a low ponytail, which she curled and pinned into a low bun. She curled the free-flowing front section as well, though, to make it more ethereal, she brushed it out and applied a touch of the TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Shine Serum ($5) for added shine. Who doesn’t love a schoolgirl updo? “A pony is always cool, never too formal, and it absolutely complements any outfit,” celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak says. “For the London premiere of Maniac, I created this full ponytail with a bit of a soft wave and a bow for Emma.” While the end look is relatively simple, it took quite a few steps to bring it to life. First, Roszak blowdried Stone’s locks in Velcro rollers, using PHYTO Phytovolume Actif Volumizer Spray ($30) at the root. After letting them sit for five minutes, she uncoiled them and curled her hair with a 1.5-inch curling iron for a loose bend. “I teased the hair a bit at the crown for added height (most textured pony tails can use it), then I pulled all the hair back into a mid-height pony tail, securing it with a strong elastic,” she says, noting to make sure that the hair tie is tight enough that it won’t budge. To perfect the pony, Roszak gently loosened a few face-framing tendrils for added softness and used a ribbon from the fabric store to tie it all together. “Before she went out onto the red carpet I sprayed Davines This Is A Shimmering Mist ($22) all over and brushed through the pony gently,” Roszak says. “Then I set it all with Leonor Greyl Voluforme Styling Spray ($36).” (Photo via ANTHONY HARVEY/ Getty)

If Gilmore Girls andThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel have shown me anything, it's that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino always has an incredible story up her sleeve. Her new show Étoile, which is coming to Prime Video, promises to be a beautiful and sophisticated look at the world of dance, and if the fact that it's from Amy wasn't enough reason to watch it, it's also Prime's first new show to get a two-season order! Following our beloved Gilmore Girls and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Dan and Amy Sherman-Palladino's next series is Étoile, which is set at two world-famous ballet companies in New York City and Paris. When both companies run into some trouble, the decide to swap their most talented stars in a last-ditch effort to save themselves.

And based on the first set leaks from New York City, it looks like Étoile will definitely be packing on the drama. This short clip shows Luke Kirby standing outside Lincoln Center in a serious conversation (probably about the fate of his ballet company, TBH).

"Well, guess that plan for early retirement will have to wait," Dan and Amy said in a joint statement (via The Hollywood Reporter). "Instead, we’ve decided to embark on an international journey with an unbelievable group of players and the most talented ballet dancers in the world. We will sleep when we’re dead."

But this isn't the first time ASP has forayed into the world of ballet! Her ABC Family series Bunheads (which premiered on June 11, 2012) follows Michelle (Sutton Foster) who moves to her hometown of Paradise and starts working at her mother-in-law's dance studio The Paradise Dance Academy. The best part is that the role of Michelle's mother-in-law is played by Emily Gilmore herself, Kelly Bishop!

When does Étoile premiere?

We don't have an official release date yet, but considering THR recently revealed the show will finish filming soon, we're hoping to see Étoile in 2025. Just like Gilmore Girls is the ultimate fall rewatch, maybe Étoile will be the ultimate winter rewatch!

I'm so excited to see Yanic working with Amy Sherman-Palladino again — it's like a Gilmore Girls reunion!

What does Étoile mean?

Étoile translates to "star," and there are so many different connections here! We have the ballet stars themselves, but you also wish upon a star and reach for the stars when you're working towards a dream. If you ask me, Étoile is the perfect name for this series.

Though there's no official word out about Red Cup Day for 2024, our best guess – based on the Red Cup Days of years past – is it'll return mid-November. In 2023, Red Cup Day fell on November 16. In 2022, the coffee chain held the event on November 17. Both dates landed on the third Thursday of November, so we predict it to hit on November 21 for 2024. Red Cup Day is when Starbucks customers can get a free reusable red cup when they order a seasonal drink off the holiday menu.

Though most commenters on @markie_devo's Starbucks holiday menu leak post seemed to be excited for the upcoming rumored menu items, some Starbs fans noticed a few things missing from the leaked lineup.

"Still missing eggnog 😢," someone noted.
