Bugonia is adapted from Save the Green Planet!, a 2003 South Korean sci-fi epic. Elite Daily reports that Emma's character will be a gender-flipped version of Save the Green Planet!'s main character, who's both a "powerful pharmaceutical executive" and, you guessed it, bald. She'll star opposite Kinds of Kindness star Jesse Plemons.

The buzz started to build from then on. Later Yorgos Lanthimos and some great actors came on board.”
