Back in our elementary school days, we all knew our lunch boxes weren’t complete without a Capri Sun juice pouch. There was no way I could be my best at Lava Monster or Freeze Tag without washing down my rainbow grilled cheese sandwich with a Pacific Cooler Capri Sun. Whether you were the kid who always punched the straw through the bottom, or the kid who puffed up the pouch after slurping the last sip, Capri Suns will always have a special place in our heart.
Summer is all about popsicles and glittery, fruity drinks, so why not throw things back with the classic pouches and age them up a bit to make frozen adult Capri Suns. Since Strawberry Kiwi is one of Capri Sun’s most beloved flavors, we decided to mix up a frozen strawberry kiwi vodka lemonade Capri Sun (whew, that’s a mouthful!).
Ingredients:
— 1 1/2 cups water
— 1 1/2 cups sugar
— 1 cup vodka
— 1 1/2 cups lemon juice (about 6 large lemons)
— 1 pound strawberries, halved
— 4 kiwis, peeled and sliced
Instructions:
1. Combine water, sugar and vodka together and stir well.
2. Add lemon juice and the sugar water mixture. Blend until smooth.
3. Blend strawberries and kiwis in a blender. Add the lemon sugar water mixture and blend.
4. Add ice into plastic bags and fill bags with strawberry kiwi vodka lemonade. Add extra lemon slices or fruit chunks for some fun pops of color. Stick a straw in the bag before sealing it up.

At this point in the game, we stuck the blender in the fridge and did some lettering on our juice pouches. We went to Target to get taller plastic bags so that our drinks looked more like Capri Suns.

Hakuna Ma’Vodka, indeed!
