Just one day after Kensington Palace confirmed that Meghan Markle would be spending Christmas with the royal family, the Suits actress is making headlines for another unprecedented holiday move that has completely won over the Queen’s staff.
While there was no note of it in Markle’s official calendar, Rebecca English, a reporter for the Daily Mail, tweeted that Prince Harry and his fiancée made a surprise appearance at the Queen’s staff holiday party, which took place at Windsor Castle on Monday. People also confirmed their attendance.
Apparently, Markle was a huge hit with guests. “One person who met her told me that she was ‘charm personified,'” English tweeted. “‘She held out her hand & said ‘Hi, I’m Meghan.’ She was unbelievably beautiful and Harry looked so proud.’”

English confirmed that her appearance was unexpected, tweeting, “Yes, it was definitely a surprise to all those attended. And those that did meet her were absolutely blown away by her elegance and confidence. She’s gone down well with the staff, that’s for certain!”

The reporter also speculated that it was probably a way to “help [Meghan] get used to the ‘Royal’ way of doing things…”
Yes, although I don't think I it was a gesture per se. I get the impression that Harry was keen to introduce her. I can imagine it will also help her get used to the 'Royal' way of doing things…

Markle reportedly told guests that she and Harry had stayed at the castle over the weekend. It’s a special place for them, as it’s where they’ll marry in May of next year. “They are delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle will be where they begin their lives as a married couple,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said in a statement when their wedding was announced.
