Now You Can ALMOST Look Like a Model at Home

What day of the week is it again today? Oh, right, it doesn’t really matter because on any given day of the week, there’s one thing you want to look at: Models in their homes. And while most sites would just look at them and sigh over what appear to be the most charmed lives ever, we’re all striving to live the big life here at Brit + Co. So while we look at these lovely models in their lovely homes, we’re also going to show you how to steal their designer interiors. But forget runway prices, we’re doing it sample sale style.

Alright, so we can’t send you back to your early 20s and make you six feet tall, but we can help you steal the look of this Victoria’s Secret supermodel‘s swanky West Village town home. Let’s focus on the foyer.

First, big news: You can make a one-stop shopping adventure to Target to get the look. Pick up a hard-edge golden mirror ($298), a mini white chandelier ($54), some mini lampshades (just paint the edges with some bright green paint) and a bracketed black wall shelf ($45) (you’re going to want to give the hardware a gold dusting). Anchor the look with curvy wallpaper ($25), which gives off a similar feel to Karlie’s seashell-inspired print.

Cindy Crawford

Please excuse the tiny pics and travel back in time to an era when Cindy Crawford was doing Pepsi ads. The classic cover girl kept classic comforts rolling throughout her living room in Malibu. If she was outfitting this room today, she’d head straight to Anthropologie.

Grab the not-so-bargain-basement-priced Continental Sofa ($2,298), and then give it some color and interest with a few throw pillows… and you know that Anthro’s got you more than covered in the pillow department.

We’re digging their Poppy pillow ($198) and its indigo-dyed vibe and the Dian Jacquard ($68).

Need it all? Get a mango-wood coffee table ($698), throw a Jardin des Plantes bowl ($20) on it.

Anja Rubik

When people ask us, “Can we take a picture of you in your home?” this is exactly how we pose, too. (TWINS!) But let’s not get distracted by the details of a beautiful model in beautiful pants, knee-dancing to LPs on her living room rug. We’re focusing on interiors today, people. And this is what life looks like for the Manhattan-based model.

Unless you want to head to Ligne Roset and drop some serious $$$$ on a sofa, a lookalike version is hard to come by… Except! If you get what you’ve always wanted and have been to ashamed to admit: A couple of bean bag chairs ($339)! Throw some pillows on two of them and butt them up against each other and pretend you’re living a model’s life. (They also turn into futons for when couch surfers catch a wave through town.)

Grab a cozy solid white rug ($60) and finish off the look with a brushed nickel floor lamp ($231). You can get the entire look (minus the hardware store supplies) on Overstock.com.

Elle MacPherson

It’s official: The model/lingerie designer has some serious style. Alright, she actually worked with the dream team behind design studio The Lakes by Yoo to pad out her five-bedroom Cotswold home, but still, we’re giving the girl props for good taste and her restrained-in-all-the-right-ways color palette.

It’s mostly about the paint here, which means this look has some major DIY potential. Find old chairs and give them a coat of white, grey and aqua. Paint your cupboards and an accent wall black, and then keep your tile light and neutral. After painting, prop out your dining area by picking up a Magical Thinking Costa Geo Rug in black and white ($199), a walnut-topped metal-legged dining table from Room + Board ($2,699) and antique bronzed pendant lamp from Crate + Barrel ($349).

Molly Sims

Maybe our favorite mommy/model, Molly Sims LA Nursery is the place of sweet, sweet dreams for her beautiful babe. She went for pinks and blues, keeping things gender neutral. The room is all about the details rather than big pieces. Our pocketbook thanks her for that.

For a softer, more playful and feminine take on the sputnik light, Anthropolgie has you covered with their Dandelion Orbit Chandelier ($1,698).

Add details to a couch, chair or nook, like velveteen ikat pillows from Etsy ($65) mixed with Chai Lai pillows from Urban ($59).

Jessica Stam

The girl rocks Radiant Orchid right, and the girl rocks Moroccan decor right. Her Manhattan apartment is very “of the moment.” And if you love the look, you’re going to want to follow suit with similar hues and style. Her home may be filled with antique finds, but you better believe you can get modern-day copycats.

A glass top coffee table can be had at a gazillion different stores, but one from Urban Outfitters ($329) is the closest we found to Jessica’s. And while we can’t help you out with the antique Moroccan doors, we can point you in the direction of an amethyst velvet chair ($998).

For the rug, head over to PB Teen and grab their Shimmer and Shine floor cover.

Hilary Rhoda

All you need to look like you live the same life that Hilary Rhoda lives is to rent the right apartment — one with killer windows.

Other than that? All it takes is a black desk ($99) and some sweet poses.

Liya Kebede

L’Oreal Paris spokesperson, Liya Kebede’s home is exactly that — homey. Her airy and light-filled three bedroom flat might be located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, but it’s so cozy and comfortably that it could just as well be the home you grew up in.

Get her accent piece, a cowhide ottoman, from Room + Board ($399), a simple console table from Target ($120) and a collection of picture frames to display your favorite family memories ($28).

Angela Lindvall

A yoga studio and a bio-dynamic produce garden? Angela Lindvall’s SoCal home has all the right earthy elements. And while the interiors of the house are lovely, what has our jaws dropping are the great outdoors.

If you want to harvest your own fruits and veggies throughout the year, we’ve got the plans covered with one epic tutorial.

More into outdoor entertain? Check out how our main girl Nicole Richie entertains her guest like a pro.

Protecting women's reproductive rights feels like an uphill battle. To date, 14 states have a total abortion ban in place that don't allow any exceptions for sexual violence against women or young girls. One of the states is Missouri, where model Karlie Kloss spent time as a child.

Having given birth to her first child during the pandemic, she feels fortunate to have a positive birth story, but she knows this isn't always the case for others. Unfortunately, doctors don't always prioritize women's pain and this can end up especially hurting Black moms. There's also things like postpartum depression to consider.

Luckily, there are moms — like Karlie Kloss — who are willing to push back against any stigma by sharing their postpartum stories and advocating for maternal health.

Karlie's Postpartum Experience + Maternal Health Inequality

There are birthing classes and books dedicated to educating moms about life during postpartum, but that doesn't always mean you can know exactly what to expect. In Karlie's case, she remembers the difficulties she faced after giving birth. She told Glamour, "My body was completely turned around, you’re not sleeping, and there’s this enormous learning curve that you have to figure out." For some moms, postpartum anxiety or postpartum depression can add to the challenges of adjusting to a new normal. The truth is that 1 in 10 women experience PPD, making it a common occurrence.

As tough as the postpartum experience can be, Karlie feels like it helped open her eyes to things she didn't have prior knowledge about. She said, "...the access to, say, the right kind of formula to feed your child, or protections and rights, is not equal."

Why Karlie's Advocating For Maternal Health Support + Paid Leave

When Karlie learned about the trigger ban on abortion in Missouri, she told Glamour she was upset and wanted to figure out how to become active in fighting for reproductive rights. She said, "We are living in a country where forced birth is a reality. And yet when that mother goes into labor and that child comes into the world, she also is not protected...before being forced to go back to work." She went on to express frustration about the lack of policies that can ensure birthing women are actually protected in a country that demands ownership of their reproductive rights.

It's one of the reasons she chose to join Bobbie's Motherboard and the #passpaidleave campaign. She said, "As I’ve gotten more informed on the history of it, learning how many times [paid leave] has been tried to pass and how close we got this past fall, now is the time to really bring this to the forefront." This inspired her to implement a 12-week paid leave policy at her own company, Kode With Klossy. Right on!

We still have a long way to go when it comes to women's health. We know it shouldn't be a hard decision for the government to determine women need more beneficial policies and less threats of criminal charges but, thankfully, there are people who are committed to using their platforms to advocate.

What do you wish people knew about maternal health? Let us know in the comments.

Jessica Chastain and Bryce Dallas Howard are frequently confused for one another, as both ladies will tell you. There’ll be no mistaking who’s who after today, however, as Chastain just debuted a brand new ‘do that is bound to turn heads.

As the Molly’s Game star’s hairstylist, Renato Campora, showed off in a series of photos on his Instagram page, she’s now rocking a wavy, center-parted chin-length bob. The actress also showed off the look over on her page, dubbing it her “summer cut.”

The look is not only a departure from her previous slightly-longer-than-shoulder-length style, it’s also much shorter than her lookalike’s current ‘do, which falls at shoulder-length.

The women have previously addressed the frequent confusion over their similar red hair and features with Chastain hilariously posting a musical Howard made aptly titled, I AM NOT JESSICA CHASTAIN as well as a meme of them reading, “People still think we are the same person?” “IKR?”

They’ve worn different hairstyles before — 41-year-old Chastain rocked a side-swept bob that grazed her collarbones back in 2016 — but her newest transformation is shorter and distinct enough to put this redhead mixup to bed once and for all — at least, we hope so!

What do you think of Jessica’s new look? Tell us over @BritandCo.

One of the deep questions I asked myself on January 1 was, "How do you want to feel as a stay-at-home mom who's also a part of the WFH crew?" The first word that popped into my mind wasn't a full sentence; it was 'ease.'

I've spent the greater part of my life as a people pleaser who also has a Type A personality when inspired during work hours. There's nothing wrong with being ambitious, but I don't always know when to turn it off which leads to burnout. Does this sound like you?

If so, we're not doing this anymore bestie. This year we're changing the way we approach work so we're not on a first-name basis with stress 10 months out of the year. I've got tips from the following bada** ladies who know how imperative it is to not let work drain us:

  • Kayla Baum, CEO & Founder of Twello (a workplace wellness company!)
  • Corry Frazier and Melissa Pepin, Founders at The Business Reboot

Keep scrolling for 8 expert-approved tips for how to make work less stressful — & trust me, you need these.

1. Actually Use Your Planner In 2025

We're not buying pretty planners just so they can collect dust on our desks or coffee tables anymore. Corry Frazier and Melissa Pepin want you to get serious because they feel "it starts with planning." They don't mean the kind you eventually flake on either.

"Effective planning is key to maintaining balance and reducing burnout. Whether you're mapping out tasks, meetings, or events, dedicated time for preparation ensures focus and reduces stress," they say. In other words, "the more intentional you are in planning, the more productive you'll be," according to them.

Ever since I've been blocking out my tasks by hour in planner, I've been able to get more done without feeling overwhelmed by splitting my time between writing and being in mommy mode. Frazier and Pepin suggest that you "set weekly planning sessions" that consist of "30-60 minutes each weekend to map out your upcoming week."

This eventually "reduces decision fatigue, fosters a sense of control, and helps you start Monday with clarity and purpose," they add. Yes, this is a sign that you'll be breaking up with the dreaded 'Sunday scaries' if you follow their advice. "You'll feel proactive and grounded rather than reacting to the week as it unfolds," they agree.

2. Embrace A "Fake Commute" When Working From Home

One of Kayla Baum's tips is to switch up your routine if you're a remote worker. Rolling out of the bed at the last minute before logging on for work sounds appealing until you realize you're uninspired by your days. But, what is a "fake commute?"

"It mimics the structure of a traditional commute to establish a boundary between work and personal life. This could mean taking a walk around the block, doing a 10-minute guided meditation, or even just changing clothes at the end of the day," Baum mentions.

Based on her experience, she's found that "it works because it provides a psychological buffer, helping to separate work and home life." She feels it's "crucial for positive mental health and boosting productivity at work (and at home)."

You can also create a separate work space that's not in your bedroom to get work done! That's helped me tremendously so I'm not sleeping and working in the same area.

3. Focus On High-Impact Tasks

Similar to planning your work days as best as you can, Frazier and Pepin want you to "prioritize the tasks that align with your goals." To minimize distractions, they want you to ask yourself:

  • What is the most effective use of my time right now?
"For instance, if you're preparing for a big presentation at work, concentrate on immediate needs rather than getting sidetracked by unrelated projects. This approach helps you conserve energy for what truly matters," they suggest.

Greta Hoffman

4. Stop Making Daily Decisions Hard

Tasks like your morning routine or figuring out what you'll eat don't have to take up a chunk of your time anymore. "Use productivity hacks, such as pre-planning meals or laying out weekly outfits," suggest Frazier and Pepin. They feel that "small routines like this eliminate unnecessary choices" to "make mornings smoother."

According to them, it's "especially helpful for families juggling multiple schedules." I couldn't agree more because I've spent so many frazzled mornings trying to make decisions about what myself and my toddler would wear or eat instead of planning them. With the help of my fiancé, we've cut so much time in half by being prepared ahead of time instead of 'winging it' before work.

5. Understand What Your Boundaries Are And Set Them

Worried that you'll be considered 'mean' if you tell your manager or coworkers what your boundaries are at work? Depending on your environment, it's 100% understandable. However, you're human and there's no reason you should be over-performing to your detriment. Frazier and Pepin say, "Set boundaries and communicate clearly. Adopt Brené Brown's mantra: 'To be clear is to be kind.'"

They encourage you to not only "be upfront about your schedule to manage others' expectations," but it's also so you can "avoid over-commitment." Say it with me: I will not make false promises just to appease others. Why?

Frazier and Pepin say, "Don't be afraid to say no to side projects or anything that doesn't align with your goals."

6. Ignore Emails Sent After Your Work Hours

I've been guilty of sending an email after work to acknowledge that I saw something, but I never expect other people to feel obligated to respond until the next business day. On the flip side, I've felt pressured to answer something that feels timely and I've gone to sleep thinking about the sender's potential follow-up email.

"Just because a coworker chooses to work late at night doesn't mean you must answer. One helpful trick is to include your working days and hours in your signature, explaining that responses may be delayed outside of those times," Frazier and Pepin say. They even have a prompt you can use if you're not sure what to type:

  • "My working hours are [Your Working Hours, e.g., 9 AM - 4 PM ET]. Please note that these may differ from your local time zone. I appreciate your understanding and will respond to emails during my working hours."

I can't wait to start utilizing this...for research purposes only 👀.

7. Please, log off from work when it's time.

Unless you're scheduled to work late, take the time to log off from work and not think about it until the next day. Baum says, "Commit to fully logging off once the workday ends—no 'quick email replies' or sneaking in work over the weekend." I'm eyeing you Ms. "I just need to send a quick email" while you're on vacation or spending time with your significant other.

Baum says creating this separation works because "fully disconnecting allows your mind to reset and recharge" which ends up "making you more efficient, creative, and focused during actual work hours." According to her, you'll eventually "improve personal well-being" and "enhance long-term work performance."

As soon as my work day is over, I make a beeline for the shower so I can decompress. After that, I take my time with my skincare routine and keep my phone out of reach so I'm not tempted to look at anything work-related. I'm not always successful, but I've noticed a difference in my mood since making this shift.

8. Speak Up When You're Feeling Overwhelmed

And if you're 100% drained because you've been trying to tackle work tasks during and after hours, Frazier and Pepin want you to speak up. "If you're feeling overwhelmed with your workload, approach your manager with honesty and a focus on solutions," they suggest. Here's another prompt of theirs you can use:

  • "I've been noticing that my workload has extended beyond regular hours, and maintaining balance is becoming challenging. Could we discuss prioritizing tasks or adjusting expectations to ensure I can deliver quality work without compromising my well-being?"
What this does is "frame the conversation as collaborative and proactive, encouraging your manager to work with you on a resolution," Frazier and Pepin observe.
