It’s a boy for Scandal‘s Quinn and the first look at Kylie Jenner’s new reality show is here! Check these and more of this morning’s top news tidbits out in this TGIF edition of Morning Buzz below.

1. It’s a boy for Katie Lowes! Lowes, AKA Quinn Perkins on the soon to be potentially cancelled (*sniff*) Scandal, told Jimmy Kimmel Thursday that she and husband Adam Shapiro are expecting their first child, a boy, together, though she admitted they have absolutely no names picked out. Lowes also said that the show’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, had an inkling about the pregnancy before Lowes told her, telling Kimmel she said Lowes either had a “really good weekend eating pizza and beer or I was pregnant.” Congrats to the growing family!

2. The first trailer for Kylie Jenner’s new reality show is out, and we’re already addicted. Jenner tweeted the first promo for her docuseries, Life of Kylie, and it looks like we’ll be privvy to the same kind of TV magic we’re accustomed to from the Kardashian-Jenner fam. “There’s an image that I have to keep up with, then there’s me: Kylie,” she can be heard saying in the clip, a quick cut of the glamorous side of her life. Life of Kylie starts July 6 on E!, and WE WILL BE THERE.

3. More trouble for United is brewing as ANOTHER scorpion was found on a passenger, causing delays. We’re gonna NOPE ourselves right out of this one! A United Airlines flight from Houston to Quito, Ecuador, was delayed after a scorpion reportedly crawled out from a passenger’s clothes. United said in a statement that no one was harmed, and they issued all passengers a meal voucher due to the delay, but it’s not the first time the airline has dealt with scorpions — a man was stung in the middle of a flight just last month. Have we mentioned NOPE? (h/t KTLA 5)

4. A rare Harry Potter prequel by JK Rowling was stolen and she’s urging fans not to buy it if they see it for sale. Early this morning, Rowling signal boosted the West Midlands Police on Twitter, asking Harry Potter fans for their help in locating a super rare, handwritten Potter prequel that was stolen during a break-in of its owner’s home. Written on two sides of an A5 postcard, Rowling says the piece was originally auctioned for the English PEN, and that the owner “supported writers’ freedoms by bidding for it.” TBH, we probably couldn’t afford this thing anyway: Hopefully the item is returned unharmed to its owner!

5. A new trailer for the Love Actually reunion mini-film is out, and how is it possible that everyone looks exactly the same? HOW? What’s more, it appears that Laura Linney actually *is* in the US version of the reunion, despite original reports that she wouldn’t be, and apparently Patrick Dempsey is too. According to People, more surprise guests, including Ben Affleck, will also appear. Only two weeks to go! The Red Nose Day special airs on NBC on May 25.

It's Official: Kylie Cosmetics Is Coming To Target

Rumors began buzzing after Target teased a new collaboration yesterday, and official word is finally out about the brand they're working with: Kylie Cosmetics!

A curated selection of Kylie Jenner's most-loved lip products like the Lip Kits will hit shelves at the Ulta section in select Target stores on June 9.

Target made the big reveal on June 6 with an Instagram post highlighting Kylie and a few of the lip products set to sell in Ulta at Target.

The caption reads: "THE NEWS IS OUT!🗞️ @KylieCosmetics is coming to #UltaBeautyatTarget 6/9. 💖 Set your alarms for this Sunday and be the first to shop your fave lip combos.💖✨"

"We are excited to launch Kylie Cosmetics at Ulta Beauty at Target," Jenner said in a press release. "I created Kylie Cosmetics to give access to the makeup products that I love and use, and I can't wait to give more people the opportunity to shop and experience our products in-store across the country."

Eleven different Kylie Cosmetics lip products will hit shelves: the Matte Lip Kit, Velvet Lip Kit, Matte Liquid Lipstick, Tinted Butter Balm, High Gloss, Matte Lipstick, Crème Lipstick, Precision Pout Lip Liner, Plumping Gloss, Lip Oil, and the Sugar Lip Scrub.

The lip lineup will be shoppable in-stores and online at Target.com/ultabeauty starting June 9.

Target fans and followers sounded off in the comments of the official announcement post quite unenthusiastically. Many commenters said the collaboration was not what they thought it would be, and that the new Kylie Cosmetics x Target partnership is "anti-climactic" and "missed the mark."

"Nah, we’re good," one person wrote.

"This feels like getting socks for Christmas," another said.

"I love Target so much, but hard pass on this one. So over thjs family.,😖🙄" someone else commented.

Of all the rumors that emerged this year, Timothée Chalamet x Kylie Jenner dating rumor was one that got us going. Her, a highly-decorated makeup and reality TV mogul, and him, an award-winning and frequently thirsted-over actor – it was just too far fetched!

But, my longstanding suspicions were proven so terribly wrong when the duo went public with a slew of steamy kisses. Where it all took place? None other than Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour, which is equally iconic and confusing. Since then, the couple has been seen together in public from the stands at Coco Gauff's US Open Finals game to a Saturday Night Live afterparty, and most recently, the 2024 Golden Globes.

Though I love relishing in this pair's love, I can't help but wonder: How did this unlikely couple come together? What *exactly* led up to the hard launch? January 2023

Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner reportedly met for the first time in January 2023. The pair was spotted together at a John Paul Gaultier fashion show during Paris Couture Week, and their interaction was published (and subsequently amplified) by blind items outlet, Deuxmoi, via Instagram Stories.

This came not long after Jenner had made her official break with longtime boyfriend, Travis Scott. They still share two children, Stormi, 5, and Aire Webster, 1.

April 2023

The aforementioned dating rumors began after a few instances between the couple went public. First, one of Jenner’s cars was photographed parked outside of Chalamet’s home in Beverly Hills.

Later in April, the pair also allegedly grabbed tacos from a stand together in Santa Monica, enjoying them in the backseat of Jenner’s Range Rover.

At the time, an insider told Peoplethat the two were “getting to know each other.” Another told Us Weekly that they had only hung out “a couple of times” and “things [weren’t] that serious.” Despite it all, Jenner reportedly “[liked] what she [saw]” and her and Timmy had “good chemistry.”

Between April, May, and June of 2023, the couple were simply enjoying “casually seeing each other,” according to Entertainment Tonight.

August 2023

Gasp!

Timothée and Kylie supposedly broke up – though sources covering the news were contradicting one another.

While Life & Stylereported their alleged breakup, TMZ dispelled the claims, with one insider affirming that “everything is cool between the two [and] they're still an item.”

Throughout the fall, their relationship remained very casual and the duo was staying out of the public eye.

September 2023

All of that brings us to Labor Day 2023, when Timmy and Kylie popped up extremely publicly at the Beyoncé concert. This was the first time we saw some PDA from the two, and it sent the internet into a spiral.

Many a social media post was made, documenting the couple’s kissing and hugging escapades in a VIP area.

December 2023

Kylie and Timmy have been happy ever since. According to a source that spoke with People, Kylie has confidently declared Timothée as her boyfriend.

The pair is "incredibly happy" as they both show support to one another's careers and endeavors.

“He is very supportive of her career and she of his,” the source said. “They both try to attend important events for each other.”

January 2024

Timothée and Kylie attended the 81st Golden Globes (their first awards show as a couple) on January 7. This weekend, news dropped that Blake Lively filed a bombshell lawsuit against It Ends With Usco-star Justin Baldoni, and everyone is rushing to her support — including her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pantsco-stars!

One day we need to have a conversation about how easy it is to assign the 'mean girl' role to women like Anne Hathaway, Hailey Bieber, Meghan Markle, and now, Blake Lively. According to Deadline, Lively's suing Baldoni for "sexually harassing her and subsequently enacting 'a coordinated effort to destroy her reputation.'" Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, and America Ferrera made it clear that they're firmly in support of their friend Blake Lively. They released a message on Instagram that left no room for assumption about their beliefs following Blake's lawsuit against Baldoni.
The statement reads:
As Blake's friends and sisters for over twenty years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation. Throughout the filming of It Ends With Us, we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice.

Most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors' stories to silence a woman who asked for safety. The hypocrisy is astounding.

We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can still face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe work environment. We are inspired by our sister's courage to stand up for herself and others.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Colleen Hoover also spoke up in light of the damage Baldoni inflicted. She tagged Blake via Instagram Stories and wrote, "You have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt." A picture of the author and star hugging followed Hoover's words, adding to the depth of the moment.

Paul Feig, Director of A Simple Favor

Director Paul Feig also shared his thoughts about what it's like to work with Blake on X. He said, "I’ve now made two movies with Blake and all I can say is she’s one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented and kind people I’ve ever worked with. She truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it’s awful she was put through this."

The sisterly energy is real and we're so glad Blake is surrounded by it. Robyn, Blake's big sister, shared her full thoughts in a lengthy Instagram caption just 10 hours!

While encouraging people to do research for themselves by reading The New York Times article that details the devious plot to publicly destroy Blake, she had other things to say. "We live in an age where we have access to people’s personal lives like never before — especially actors. It makes us feel like we know them. We see them on social media, watch clips of them, and make snap decisions about their character," she wrote. This reminds me of the parasocial relationships author Amanda Montell detailed in The Age of Magical Overthinking — definitely something for us all to keep in mind.

She also called out how easy it is for the media to warp the public's perception of the truth. "The 'truth' in the tabloids is hardly ever what you think," she added before eventually expressing how "proud" she is that her sister "didn't allow herself to be silenced in the face of adversity and lies."

Bart Johnson, Blake Lively's Brother-in-law

According to Page Six, Blake's brother-in-law Bart Johnson didn't hesitate to share his thoughts about the behavior of Baldoni and his team. He reportedly wrote, "Her complaints were filed during the filming. On record. Long before the public conflict. The cast unfollowed him [Baldoni] for a reason." in the comment section of the NYT Instagram post about the lengthy deep dive into what happened.

He continued by writing, "His PR team was stellar. Gross and disgusting but highly effective. Read the article, their text message exchanges and his PR campaign strategy to bury her by any means necessary. No one is with out [sic] faults. But the public got played."

Nicole Kidman Spills On Spending "A Lot Of Time In Bed" With Harris Dickinson During 'Babygirl' — Exclusive

The most important detail about any romantic movie is chemistry between its leads. Even the worst movie can be rescued by two characters you believe actually love each other. But that's not a problem for A24's Babygirl (in theaters December 25) because Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson have chemistry in spades. The new A24 movie follows CEO Romy (Kidman), who begins a torrid affair with a young intern named Samuel (Dickinson). And AMC queen Nicole says she knew Harris was different the moment he walked in the room.

"As soon as he walked in, I was like, 'Oh good, here's somebody who's gonna play with me," Nicole Kidman says in our exclusive Babygirl featurette. "We spent a lot of time in bed. Hours would go by, and it was like you would step out of there and you would say, 'What just happened?'"

"From the moment [Samuel] sees her, he's attracted to her. He realizes there's someone at the height of their power," Harris says. "There was an element of mystique that needed to be there for the exploration of the relationship."

Harris continues that "perhaps there's something unfulfilled going on," perhaps referencing Romy's fizzled-out marriage with Jacob, while Nicole adds that "she's searching for something else" as the movie examines "desires, wants, [and] needs."

"Drink it in and be transported," she says.

​And their chemistry in 'Babygirl' was so intense, Nicole Kidman had to take breaks from filming.

In addition to spending "hours" in bed (which, honestly sounds like a pretty good work day to me), Nicole told The Sun in October that filming those scenes with Harris Dickinson became so intense, she would need breaks. “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more,'” she said. “Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life!”

But having a woman at the helm of the film (writer-director-producer Halina Reijn) both made Nicole feel more comfortable, and empowered her to tell this story. "Doing this subject matter in the hands of the woman that wrote the script, that's directing it and is a really great actress herself — we became one in a weird way, which I'd never had with a director before," she says in a statement. "When you're working with a woman on this subject matter, you can share everything with each other.”

"I really decided in the beginning, I want to make a sexual film, just as sexual as all these films that I've always admired so much," Halina says, "but now I'm going to do it completely through female eyes.
