No One Wants to Perform at Donald Trump’s Inauguration

Like it or not, President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is fast-approaching (that’s January 20, for those keeping track). Despite having an apparent friend in Kanye West, it appears that Hollywood as a whole is NOT feeling the love: Trump is reportedly having quite the difficult time finding anyone to perform (sans 16-year-old opera star Jackie Evancho).

One singer in particular doesn’t feel particularly bad for him, as she recently revealed to Vanity Fair. “I think it’s karma, baby,” Frozen singer Idina Menzel (who most recently got in on the sheer trend at the AMAs) told the outlet. “I mean, look: All the artists in the world stood up and tried to get our girl Hillary Clinton elected, and it still didn’t happen, so we’re trying to recover from that.”

It seems as though that recovery process doesn’t include performing for the other team, despite reported promises of ambassadorship, money and diplomatic posts Trump’s team has tried to lure them in with.

Trump, for his part, doesn’t seem to be too phased, telling his supporters at recent appearances, “We don’t need Jay-Z or Beyoncé. We don’t need Lady Gaga. All we need is great ideas to make America great again.”

Perhaps he’ll take Idina’s suggestion and just do the dang thing himself? “He probably thinks he has a great voice,” she said. “He thinks he does everything great.”

Ouch!

Who do you think should perform at the event, if anyone? Weight in @BritandCo.

Thanks to the eternal popularity of Gilmore Girls, we all know mother-daughter shows are some of the best around. And if you ask me, Ginny and Georgia are totally the next Rory and Lorelai. If you're looking for a new series to binge while getting cozy this winter, then look no further than Ginny & Georgia. It's got intrigue, it's got romance, it's got drama — which is exactly why it's one of the Netflix shows you should binge on a break!

Keep reading for everything you need to know about Ginny & Georgia season 3.

When does season 3 of Ginny & Georgia come out?

Brooke Palmer/Netflix

You can stream Ginny & Georgia on Netflix starting June 5, 2025.

What is Ginny & Georgia season 3 about?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia follows the titular mother-daughter duo (plus Ginny's little brother Austin) who move from Texas to Wellsbury, Massachusetts after the death of Georgia's husband. But while a new town, a new school, and new friends can be complicated on their own, things get even messier in season 2 when Ginny discovers her step-dad's death wasn't an accident.

And at the end of season 2, Georgia's arrested for murder in the middle of her wedding reception. This was "always the plan," according to creator Sarah Lampert. "How we pitched season 1 and then how we ended our pitch of season 2 was, 'Then Georgia's married to Paul, they're having their first dance, and she's arrested for murder,'" she told People in January 2023.

"I'm blown away that the writers are still able to show us completely new sides of each character, and that's what you're going to see in season 3," actress Brianne Howey says. "You will see a lot of grit and hustle, but in an entirely new way. Georgia has to dig deeper into a part of herself we haven't seen yet. So, she has to use that grit in all new ways."

Who's in the cast?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia stars Brianne Howey as Georgia Miller, Antonia Gentry as Ginny Miller, Diesel La Torraca as Austin Miller, Jennifer Robertson as Ellen Baker, Felix Mallard as Marcus Baker, Sara Waisglass as Max Baker, Scott Porter as Paul Randolph, and Raymond Ablack as Joe.

How old was Georgia when she had Ginny?

Amanda Matlovich/Netflix

Georgia was 15 years old when she gave birth to Ginny. This is another detail that reminds us of Gilmore Girls since Lorelai was 16 when she had Rory!

Where can I watch Ginny & Georgia?

Netflix

Ginny & Georgia season 3 is premiering June 5, 2025 on Netflix, which is where you can stream all 20 episodes of the show (10 in season one and 10 in season two). It's safe to assume that Ginny & Georgia season 3 will also have 10 episodes.

We all have our favorite romantic movies, and it totally depends on your personality. When Harry Met Sally lovers might feel at home in the city, while 13 Going On 30 viewers might believe in friendship-turned-more, and Twisters fans just really love Glen Powell (Yes I count this as a rom-com!! You can't tell me otherwise!!). No matter what your go-to flick is, romantic movies literally have one job: make you feel like love is possible. But unfortunately, these rom-coms do the opposite, and left viewers wishing they'd never sat down to watch a movie in the first place.

Here are the 13 worst rom-coms of all time. They're so bad, they almost made me stop believing in love.

1. Maybe I Do (2023) — On Hulu

Vertical Entertainment

When people ask me what my least favorite movie is, this one always tops the list. The film follows a nearly-engaged Michelle (Emma Roberts) and Allen (Luke Bracey), who introduce their parents to one another...and realize both couples (Diane Keaton, Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon, and William H. Macy) have been cheating on their spouses with each other. It's so messy and cynical and left me feeling hopeless instead of hopeful. And based on the 31 percent Rotten Tomatoes score and 5/10 IMDb rating, I'm not the only one.

2. Down To You (2000) — On Paramount+

Miramax

College students Al (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Imogen (Julia Stiles) fall hard for each other when they meet, but it wouldn't be a rom-com without some random conflict trying to keep them apart. And in Down to You, that includes a porn star (Selma Blair) who's trying to get some quality alone time with Al. I love Julia, but considering this movie only has a 3 percent RT rating and a 5/10 IMDb score, this is probably one you can skip.

3. Because I Said So (2007) — On Starz

Universal Pictures

Despite the fact this cast is incredible, Because I Said So is one of the worst rom-coms ever. Daphne (Diane Keaton) loves her three daughters more than anything. But when her youngest Milly (Mandy Moore) brings home the wrong guy again, Daphne gets in the middle and sends out a personal ad on Milly's behalf. Not even costars Lauren Graham and Piper Perabo can save this movie, which has a 3 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 5.6/10 on IMDb.

4. Gigli (2003) — Rent on Amazon Prime

Sony Pictures Releasing

After Gigli's (Ben Affleck) plans to kidnap a young man get messed up, he meets gangster Ricki (Jennifer Lopez), who's there to help. And, of course, romance makes this movie messier than it already is. This movie might have introduced Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, but it makes our worst rom-com list thanks to its 6 percent Rotten Tomatoes score and 2.6/10 IMDb rating.

5. Mother of the Bride (2024) — On Netflix

Netflix

This new Netflix rom-com follows mother-daughter duo Lana (Brooke Shields) and Emma (Miranda Cosgrove), who travel to Thailand for Emma's wedding. While the nuptials are enough of a surprise, Lana is totally unprepared for Emma's future father-in-law to be the man who broke her heart all those years ago. Sorry, y'all, it's giving Rufus & Lily and Dan & Serena dating at the same time, just...tropical. Mother of the Bridehas a 4.8/10 on IMDb and a 13 percent on RT.

6. The Merry Gentlemen (2024) — On Netflix

Katrina Marcinowski/Netflix

While we're on the Netflix train, let's talk about The Merry Gentlemen. I know this isn't The Worst Christmas Movies Ever, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to talk about this wild movie. When Ashley (Britt Robertson) learns her parents' restaurant is closing, she orchestrates a male dance revue to bring in some extra cash. But based on the 4.8/10 IMDb rating and 41 percent RT score, it doesn't quite capture the Magic Mike of it all. Nonetheless, I'll watch anything with Chad Michael Murray.

7. Mr. Wrong (1996) — Rent On Amazon Prime

Touchstone Pictures

Martha (Ellen DeGeneres) really wants to get married, and it looks like Whitman's (Bill Pullman) the perfect man. But the more Martha learns about him, the more she wants to break up with him. Unfortunately he won't take no for an answer. This flick has a 7 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and 3.6/10 on IMDb.

8. New Year's Eve (2011) — Rent on Amazon Prime

Warner Bros. Pictures

I'm dreaming of the day we have another ensemble rom-com like New Year's Day, which stars Jon Bon Jovi, Katherine Heigl, Lea Michele, Ashton Kutcher, Halle Berry, Robert De Niro, Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Zac Efron. Unfortunately, not even the cast could save this from our worst rom-coms list, thanks to its 7 percent RT score and 5.6/10 IMDb rating.

9. First Daughter (2004) — Rent on YouTube

20th Century Fox

Ouch, this one hurts a little bit because I love this movie! But the facts don't lie. First Daughter follows the president's daughter Samantha (Katie Holmes) as she tries to have a normal college existence, and winds up falling for James (Mark Blucas), who she doesn't realize is actually an undercover agent. Somehow this only has an 8 percent Rotten Tomatoes score and a 5.2/10 IMDb rating.

10. Sex and the City 2 (2010) — Stream on Max

Craig Blankenhorn/MMIX New Line Productions, Inc.

Sex and the City might be one of the most iconic TV shows of all time. Unfortunately this movie, which finds Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) in Abu Dhabi, isn't. The movie only has a 16 percent RT score and 4.5/10 IMDb rating.

11. Crossroads (2002) — Stream on Netflix

Paramount Pictures

Three childhood BFF's, Lucy (Britney Spears), Kit (Zoe Saldana), and Mimi (Taryn Manning), go on a roadtrip to breathe life into their friendship, and reconnect with their dreams. But with its 3.8/10 IMDb rating and 15 percent RT score, a lot of people feel like the movie sucks the life out of viewers instead.

12. Cinderella (2021) — Stream on Prime Video

Kerry Brown/Prime Video

My oh my. Will we ever run out of Cinderella adaptations? Viewers did not like this new musical version, which reimagines Ella as a future fashion designer, and the 4.4/10 IMDb rating and 41 percent RT score prove it. Camila Cabello stars as the title role opposite Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Idina Menzel.

13. Material Girls (2006)

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures

This riches-to-rags story follows two sisters (Hilary Duff & Haylie Duff) who have to save their father's cosmetics company when a huge scandal threatens to destroy everything. Material Girls might be loosely based on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, but judging by the 4 percent RT score and 4/10 IMDb rating, it has a lot less wit. It's not currently streaming, but maybe that's not actually a bad thing.

14. From Justin to Kelly (2003) — Rent on Amazon Prime

20th Century Fox

Justin (Justin Guarini) and his friends set off for spring break in Fort Lauderdale, where he immediately falls for Kelly (Kelly Clarkson). The only problem? Kelly's friend Alexa (Katherine Bailess) is doing everything she can to keep them apart. Oh, did I mention it's a musical? If that's not a warning sign, the movie's 1.9/10 IMDb rating and 8 percent Rotten Tomatoes score definitely is.

The White Lotus season 3 is finally on its way, and it is, without a doubt, one of my most-anticipated 2025 TV shows. And we finally have an official release date! The new 8-episode season is coming even sooner than I could have hoped for, and there are plenty of sexy surprises in store.

In addition to the highly-anticipated return of Natasha Rothwell's Belinda, we're also going to meet characters played by Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Aimee Lou Wood. Talk about a stacked cast! I can't wait to watch the new episodesthis February, but this trailer is definitely holding me over for now!

The White Lotus season 3 is coming February 16, 2025. This season we're headed to Thailand (after season 1 took us to Hawaii and season 2 took us to Italy), but amidst the stress-management meditation and incredible food, our cast is dealing with plenty of secrets, testing their limits throughout their week-long vacation.

"What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand," is the perfect way to open the trailer for this (likely) debaucherous new season. There's a lot to unpack throughout this almost 3-minute video. Here's what we noticed:

  • The Thailand White Lotus property is stunning! Every season makes me want to book a vacation ASAP.
  • Belinda looks gorgeous — so happy to see our girl thriving!
  • We're getting a classic White Lotus family with kids who clearly have nothing in common or want anything to do with their family.
  • Responding to "I hope you enjoy Thailand," with "We usually go to the Caribbean" is that perfect White Lotus humor I live for. It's not in your face, but it gets the point across so well.
  • Belinda's there to learn and "bring the magic back to Maui." (Could this mean we get a return to the Hawaii resort in a future season?!)
  • Aimee Lou Wood and Walter Goggins playing a multi-generational couple is perfect — especially with little details like Aimee saying Walter should get a facial because someone thought he was her dad. Incredible.
  • "It means we're not dead yet," is such good foreshadowing given what we know about this show.
  • "I think the cosmos brought us together," is more amazing White Lotus writing — these characters are always kooky, eccentric, and so addictive.
  • "We're poor now and daddy's going to prison" is a classic White Lotus character problem. You can't help but love to laugh at the incredulous Rich People Problems on this show!
  • It looks like all the crime described on the island sets up the potential for lots of different whodunnit murder scenarios we could end up with. I have a feeling we'll all be shocked at how this story turns up from who ends up in the body bag to who puts them there.
  • "Someone once said, 'The secret to life is knowing when to stop.'"
  • Oh and we get a new version of the theme song! I'm sure it'll be stuck in our collective brain for many months to come!

We already got hints at 'The White Lotus' season 3 last year.

The teaser trailer gave us a glimpse at this exciting season back in December 2024.

"Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure," the teaser trailer voiceover said. "But they get there only to find more pain." The montage of late-night parties and unsettling shots like Parker Posey staring down the camera (and someone grilling a live crab until it catches on fire??) have me convinced The White Lotus season 3 is going to serve us an insane helping of both pain and pleasure.

We also got shots of Patrick Schwarzenegger lounging by the pool, Jason Isaacs taking a paranoid stroll through the jungle, and a coupled-up Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins celebrating the fact their vacation didn't kill them.

And creator Mike White says 'The White Lotus' season 3 is going to be bigger than ever.

We know that The White Lotus season 3 is going to be the biggest season yet, thanks to interviews with the creator and crew. “It’s going to be a supersized White Lotus,” creator Mike White said in an interview with EW. “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing…I’m super excited about the content of the season.”

And he's not the only one. Natasha Rothwell told PEOPLE that "White Lotus is going to give you a run for your money.”

"It's an excellent season and people are going to be very pleased," she continues. There's always something special about a third season thanks to the combination of familiarity and brand-new adventures, and the seductive intrigue The White Lotus season 3 is already proving my point.

Season 3 is always my favorite season of a show — especially considering Gilmore Girls Season 3 Is Simply The Best, And No TV Show Has Matched It Since. Check out our weekend email send for more TV news and the latest news on The White Lotus season 4!

The MCU isn't done with the Multiverse just yet. After Kevin Feige announced Robert Downey Jr. would star as Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday at San Diego Comic Con, it looked like we'd see another OG Avenger in the movie: Chris Evans. Fans wondered whether he'd star as Steve Rogers/Captain America or Johnny Storm like he did in Deadpool & Wolverine (Or Heaven forbid, another Doctor Doom), but Chris himself just set the record straight, and it looks like the answer is none of the above.

Here's everything we know about Chris Evans' future in the MCU & in Avengers: Doomsday, coming May 1, 2026.

Chris Evans won't return as Captain America in 'Avengers: Doomsday.'

Despite the fact Deadline reported Chris Evans would step back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe on December 9, Chris promises the reports are "not true," via People. While rumors of his return "happen every couple years," Chris says he's "just stopped responding to it."

"Yeah, no — happily retired!" he adds.

Deadline's sources also said Anthony Mackie will return as Sam Wilson's version of Captain America, which had me wondering whether we'll see another Cap vs. Cap battle like we saw in 2019's Avengers: Endgame. After Andrew Garfield straight-up lied to the entire world about not being involved in Spider-Man: No Way Home, before appearing in the movie and literally saving the day, it's hard not to hope Chris is keeping his return a secret too. But we'll have to wait until 2026 to find out.

We'll reportedly also see the Fantastic Four (Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn), and I'm hoping for confirmation we'll be reunited with Tom Holland's Peter Parker, Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan, and Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop.

Avengers: Doomsday is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, so I'm sure it'll have the same magic of the old school Marvel movies we know and love!

Marvel Studios

Some fans were not happy when Endgame ended with Steve Rogers returning the Infinity Stones to their respective timelines and staying in the 1940s to begin a life with Peggy (basically opening up a brand new timeline). His entire arc since Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011 had been about his relationship with Bucky Barnes, and fighting to help a Hydra-brainwashed Bucky return to his true self. Ditching his newfound family for Peggy simply feels like a character regression. But if Steve did make a cameo in the MCU again (or even if the exposition gave us new info), Doomsday could be a step in fixing that.

"I need Steve and Bucky together again," one Instagram user says. Another points out that Chris' involvement could be "a flashback to get people excited, but I hope it’s Captain Hydra. Give me Bucky fighting Captain Hydra!" Bucky vs. Evil Steve and Peter Parker vs. Doctor Doom would be the craziest plot twist of the century (especially if Doom is really an evil Tony Stark variant)!

Here's what Chris Evans has said about returning to Marvel.

Chris Evans has been vocal in the past about needing a really good reason to return to the MCU, which means Avengers: Doomsday must be one heck of a script! "I would never say never, but I'm very protective of it," Chris said on an episode of the The View in 2023 (via Boston.com). "It's a very precious role to me, so it would have to be just right."

Well call me Goldilocks because the cast and crew on Doomsday (and the story, of course) must have been perfect! Stay tuned for the latest news on Chris Evans and the future of the MCU!
