Everything We Know About Justin Timberlake's Surprise *NSYNC Reunion

nsync reunion

My iTunes library is filled with music from '90s boy band *NSYNC and I'm proud of it. As much as I adore the Backstreet Boys, my stance is firm - *NSYNC will forever be the group that unlocks the romantic feelings in my heart. Fun fact: my mom and sister have core memories of me singing "Every little thing I do, never seems enough for you..." at the top of my lungs.

That's why this '90s baby has been squealing with excitement over *NSYNC's reunion at Justin Timberlake's LA Concert last week and the fact they made another recent appearance to support him! If you're as much of an *NSYNC fan as I am, have no fear because all the details are here!

OMG, they did! It shouldn't come as a surprise because they've been working hard BTS to surprise fans, but our hearts cannot be still. Held on March 14th at Dan Tana's in West Hollywood, Justin Timberlake's album release party had the spirit of a friendly kickback with close friends, good food, and a DJ set that created amazing vibes.

Yes! Justin Timberlake was seen posing next to his bandmates Chris Kilpatrick and Lance Bass during his album release party. They looked like they could barely contain their own excitement which makes us feel like they're way past the friendship stage. They're camaraderie feels like a brotherhood at this point.

How Did Justin Timberlake Surprise Concert Goers With An Appearance BY NYSNC?

During a portion of his free concert in LA, Justin Timberlake stood onstage as curtains opened behind him to reveal his bandmates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kilpatrick singing their hit songs "Gone," "It's Gonna Be Me," and "Bye Bye Bye" much to the crowd's delight.

Kirbie Johnson, host of the Gloss Angeles podcast, was one of many who shared her enthusiasm on Instagram. Towards the end of her caption she wrote, "Whatever brain synapses were firing back when I was 13 were back in full force last night. They sounded AMAZING!"

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend were also in the house, and it seems like they had the best date night ever! She posted a series of videos on Instagram Story and could be seen fangirling while belting *NSYNC's lyrics along with them. John Legend looked just as excited which shows the impact *NSYNC has on people.

Once the performance was over, JT took to Instagram to share a photo of five empty barstools onstage with the caption "That was fun. Let’s do it again soon. 😁."

Does *NSYNC Have a New Song Together?

www.instagram.com

Following the release of "Better Place"for the Trolls Band Together soundtrack, *NSYNC was working on gearing up for the release of their new song together that's featured on Justin Timberlake's upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was. Titled "PARADISE," it features their signature harmony that has a nostalgic, yet modern blend I can see myself listening to a ridiculous amount of times.

All I'm going to say is that I'm jealous of anyone who got to see *NSYNC perform "PARADISE" in person last night.

When's The Last Time *NYSNC Performed Together?

Even though there was a special *NSYNC reunion at last year's VMA awards, Peoplementioned that the group's last live performance was at the 2013 VMAs. That means we'd been living without their beautiful voices for almost a decade! The horror!

If it happens, how would feel about going to the NSYNC reunion tour?

Think of music videos like tiny movies. Whether they're creative concepts like "Satellite" by Harry Styles or they draw inspo from actual movies Ariana Grande's "thank u, next," they're always creative and they're *always* fun to watch. This year, our favorite artists — including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, SZA, and Olivia Rodrigo — were nominated for all kinds of awards and ended up taking home some pretty big wins. Keep reading to watch everything that was nominated for "Video of the Year" and to see if your favorite artist won!

Megan Thee Stallion And Justin Timberlake Had A Moment Backstage

www.tiktok.com

I just talk with my hands lol 💁🏽‍♀️see ya next time @Justin Timberlake

Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake went viral during the awards show for a backstage exchange. While fans jumped to the conclusion that the two artists were fighting, in reality, they were just joking around!

"She had her makeup people there...and they were all doing her up," Chris Kirkpatrick says on a new episode of the Johnny's House podcast. "Justin walks over like, 'Hey do me now.' She turned and looked and realized it was Justin and...freaked out. And she was wagging her finger at him and was like 'No, not like this. I can't meet you like this.'"

The duo ended up taking a picture and filming a TikTok together and are very clearly not fighting. "I just talk with my hands," Megan captioned the video.

Kelsea Ballerini Did The Most Insane Costume Change

www.youtube.com

Kelsea Ballerini - "Penthouse" | 2023 VMAs

We already loved how absolutely adorable Kelsea and Chase Stokes were on the carpet, but this performance totally wowed us! While obviously she looked and sounded gorgeous, the most shocking moment was her INCREDIBLE costume change from her white gown to a shorter black dress. When someone figures out how she did it, *please* let us know!!!

Fall Out Boy Came Out & Everyone's Elder Emo Jumped Out

www.youtube.com

Fall Out Boy - "We Didn't Start The Fire" | 2023 VMAs

Who didn't scream-sing Fall Out Boy when they were younger? Content Editor Haley Sprankle may or may not have played "Sugar We're Goin' Down" during the cake cutting at her wedding. Regardless, their cover of "We Didn't Start The Fire" was so fun!

Shakira Earned The Vanguard Award

Shakira - "Hips Don't Lie" / "Objection (Tango)" / "Whenever, Wherever" & More | 2023 VMAs

Though we *do* wish she woulda played "Waka Waka," we've honestly never been let down by a Shakira performance, and we certainly weren't tonight. The "Hips Don't Lie" icon danced the night away on the VMAs stage, showing everyone why she's the Vanguard Award winner tonight!

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Slayed "Bongos"

www.youtube.com

Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion - "Bongos" | 2023 VMAs

These baddies bodied their VMA set, to nobody's surprise. In gorgeous blue bodices (a hue we've seen all over runways and street style alike this season), Megan and Cardi brought the heat, dancing their a*ses off. BRB while I try to get my hair to look like that tomorrow!

Olivia Rodrigo Performed "Vampire" and "get him back"

www.youtube.com

Olivia Rodrigo - "vampire" / "get him back" | 2023 VMAs

On the heels of her Gutsalbum drop *and* new music video for "get him back," Olivia Rodrigo took the VMAs stage in New Jersey. Her vocals were stunning, paired with beautiful visuals + choreography. One shocking moment? Fans couldn't tell if she was escorted off stage for real, or if it was a part of the show. Seems as if it was all according to plan, given her cheeky smile and unshaken demeanor, but regardless — we're so glad she's alright!

NSYNC Reunited To Present The First Award Of The Night

*NSYNC Presents Taylor Swift w/ Best Pop Award | 2023 VMAs

Boy band OGs, NSYNC reunited Tuesday night to present the award for Best Pop Music Video. Everyone was absolutely gagged to see the quintet on stage together, even though the reunion was rumored for a while. While we didn't wanna say bye, bye, bye to them too soon, we were happy to see Miss Taylor Swift take the stage with her first win of the evening for the "Anti-Hero" music video.

Funny enough, the queen of easter eggs had the audacity to question what this auspicious reunion meant, saying, "They're gonna do something, and I need to know what it is." Oh how the turns have tabled, Tay. 😉

I truly feel like I’ve been living under a rock when it comes to what’s good at Whole Foods. Turns out, they’ve been hiding some really impressive deals on groceries in the shadows, but I’m here to shed some light on ‘em. Whole Foods offers savings every week, and I’m fully convinced that my local Whole Foods will be seeing a whole lot more of me from now on.

Scroll on for details on Whole Foods’ top deals to shop starting today!

Kaboompics / PEXELS

1. BOGO 50% off packaged soups (Tuesdays)

Tuesdays and Fridays are the main days of the week that Whole Foods offers savings on their groceries. The first amazing deal for Tuesdays is BOGO 50% off packaged soups – perfect for this time of year!

They’ve got every kind of flavor from minestrone and chicken noodle to Italian wedding and broccoli cheddar. Their packaged soups average out at about $9 per 24-ounce tub, so saving 50% on one when you buy one is pretty good, especially for meal prep purposes.

Lukas / PEXELS

2. $2 off classic and organic rotisserie chickens (Tuesdays)

You can take $2 off two kinds of Whole Foods’ rotisserie chickens every Tuesday. Their classic rotisserie chicken goes for $9 while the organic version sells for $13. I love using rotisserie chicken for soups, sandwiches, wraps, and pastas, so getting a whole chicken to use for recipes all week long for just $7 is so nice!

Nadin Sh / PEXELS

3. $8 large cheese pizzas (Friday)

Sometimes you just do not feel like cooking on a Friday evening after work – that’s where this Whole Foods savings hack comes in! Every Friday, you can get a large cheese pizza for $8. While there’s nothing wrong with a plain cheese pizza (nostalgia galore!), I’d take advantage of this deal then bulk up my slices with various toppings like peppers, pepperoni, and olives.

Nadin Sh / PEXELS

4. 12 for $12 wild caught oysters (Friday)

Ooh, fancy! Every Friday, Whole Foods’ wild caught oysters go for $1 a pop. Buy a dozen for just $12, and you’re golden. This deal would be perfect for a bougie at-home date night.

Celebs and their makeup artists continue to wow us with their hacks for the perfect Siren Eyes and Strawberry Girl Makeup, as well as their skincare routine hacks. And what better place to look for the ultimate fall makeup inspiration than an awards show?! The VMAs were full of jaw-dropping red carpet looks, textured neutrals, and lots of '90s glam. One particularly stunning look of the night was Kelsea Ballerini's light glam (thanks to MUA Kelsey Deenihan), which paired perfectly with her custom red Monot dress. The best part of the look, though? Every single product is under $11, which means you can get her exact look without breaking the bank.

While everything on this list is COVERGIRL, some of our other favorite drugstore brands include Maybelline, NYX, and e.l.f. — mix and match products from all your favorite brands to create a look that works best for your skin!

Get Every Product From Kelsea Ballerini's VMAs Makeup

COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation ($6, was $14)

Get a longlasting glow — like Kelsea Ballerini — when you use a hydrating foundation. This pick has coconut milk and aloe extract for a dewy finish.

COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Hydrating Concealer ($6, was $12)

You can't go wrong pairing a hydrating base with hydrating concealer. This vegan pick provides a natural finish but still stays on all day long.

COVERGIRL Trublend So Flushed High Pigment Blush ($8, was $12)

Get a natural flush with this pick. One of our favorite blush tricks is to start with a liquid blush, then put the powder alternative right on top to lock it in.

COVERGIRL TruBlend So Flushed High Pigment Bronzer ($9)

Bronzer will give your face some warmth, and you'll want to put it on your forehead and right under your cheekbones. It's okay if you end up going a little bit messier than you do with contour — they're for different purposes!

COVERGIRL Lash Blast Clean Volume Mascara ($10)

We love a good lash moment, so start off with a few thin coats of this volumizing mascara, then a few more for good measure ;).

COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Clean Color Eyeshadow ($9, was $10)

To get Kelsea Ballerini's perfect custom smokey makeup, Deenihan combined shades from the Shimmering Beige, Golden Toffee, and Classic Smokey palettes.

"I started by applying the first shade from the [Golden Toffee palette] to the entire lid," the MUA says in an official press release. Then, she added the second shade from Golden Toffee (a warm brown) to the crease. "To deepen the outer and inner corners of the eye and add some drama, I used the second color, a deep brown, from the [Classic Smokey palette]. To smoke it up even more, I added a little black shadow from [the Classic Smokey palette] to the inner and outer corner of the eye."

To add a final edge, Deenihan used the Classic Smokey's deep brown on Ballerini's lashes and pressed glitter to the center of the lid.

COVERGIRL Easy Breezy Brow All-Day Brow Ink Pen ($7)

The great thing about doing your eyebrows is they look great with full glam and they'll dress up a simple 5-minute eye look.

COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Brow Gel ($10)

Define, enhance, and set your eyebrows (with or without filling them in) with this clean, vegan, and cruelty-free product. Pretty sure there are no downsides to this.

COVERGIRL Simply Ageless Moisture Renew Core Lipstick ($5, was $9)

Give your pout a dose of hyaluronic complex, coconut oil, and vitamin E and some amazing color at the same time.

COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Yummy Gloss ($8)

Kelsea Ballerini's lip gloss shade (Coconuts About You, to be specific), has us dreaming up our next vacation. But until we're tanning by the beach again, we'll just have to swipe some gloss every time we're craving a piña colada.

As much as I love celebrity couples, I love celebrity sibling relationships even more. And Elle and Dakota Fanning are two sisters I've grown up watching since I first saw Dreamer in 2005. Considering Elle Fanning is only five months older than me, and I have a sister of my own, this is one relationship that feels particularly familiar. And while Elle has also watched Dakota Fanning act since we were kids, Dakota just revealed seeing Elle onscreen is just as special for her.

Here's why Dakota & Elle Fanning get emotional seeing each other onscreen.

Elle remembers "sobbing" during one particularly emotional Dakota Fanning movie.

“When Elle’s in anything, it makes me feel it deeper,” Dakota Fanning said at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit on December 3. “She never can fully disappear into a character totally for me as her sister. She obviously does an amazing job, but I’m always gonna see my little sister a little bit.”

And Elle is just as touched by Dakota's roles, and remembers "uncontrollably sobbing" after seeing Now Is Good, a movie where Dakota's character was dying of cancer. “Because it was my sister, I had a real traumatic reaction after that premiere and the screening,” Elle says. “Obviously the acting, but it was something felt on a deeper level.”

“I’m doing this job, I’m an actor because my sister started before me and I watched her,” Elle continues. “I wanted to do exactly what my big sister wanted to do.”

And their movies have also made an impact on everyone who watches them.

When Brit + Co caught up with Dakota Fanning at the world premiere of The Watchers, I had to ask about one of her most iconic movies: Uptown Girls. "I love it," she says of TikTok memes and edits giving the movie new life. "It's nostalgic for people who are kind of around my age, who grew up watching that movie, I think it's like a comfort movie for people. And so I love that people are still revisiting it and loving it. And maybe now that everyone's older [they're] understanding different things about it."

Dakota starred opposite Brittany Murphy, who also had roles in movies like Clueless, 8 Mile, and Girl, Interrupted. Brittany passed away in 2009 when Dakota was 15. "I loved Brittany so much and I still miss her," she says. "So anytime that she has, you know, a moment where people think about her is also nice."

You can see Elle Fanning in A Complete Unknown, in theaters December 25, and you can also stream Dakota Fanning's new show The Perfect Couple on Netflix now.
