Succulent expert (yes, that’s a thing) Debra Lee Baldwin will share her secrets to creating gorgeous bouquets, terrariums and more in seven video lessons. Think of it this way: You’re just seven steps away from a green(er) thumb.
2. Create a Colorful Abstract Painting (Free): Do you have an empty wall in your home that is just screaming for a splash of design? Then try your hand at DIY-ing your own abstract painting. Artist Courtney Cerruti will turn you into the next Picasso in no time.
3. 10 Essential Techniques for Better Drawing ($20): Okay, so maybe you can’t draw your way out of a paper bag, but don’t you think it’s time you tried? Brush up on your drawing skills with the help of internationally-acclaimed artist Patricia Watwood in this 10-part video learning series on classical drawing techniques.
4. Scrapbooking Your Baby’s First Year ($39): We know time is precious, especially during your baby’s first year. That’s why we were so excited to find this scrapbook class from scrapbooking maven Nicole Samuels. In just 20 minutes, you’ll learn how to create a stylish record of all your tiny tot’s “firsts.”
5. Miniature French Desserts ($30): Call your girls ASAP, because it’s time for a tea party. You’ll need an excuse to test out your new pastry skills after learning how to make petit fours in this seven-lesson course taught by certified executive pastry chef Collette Christian. Bon appetit!
6. Perfect Southern Fried Chicken and Biscuits (Free): Craving something more savory than sweet? Learn how to fry up some crispy southern fried chicken with a side of biscuits in this quick video tutorial from private chef Kelly Leding.
7. Calligraphy 101 ($29): There is something oh-so chic about sitting down to write a letter. Why not take your letter-writing game to the next level with a beginner’s calligraphy class? You’ll be in good hands with instructor Lauren Essl, founder of Fort Worth, TX-based calligraphy and design studio Blue Eye Brown Eye.
8. Make a Leather Tassel (Free): If you only have a few minutes to get crafty, then check out this quick leather tassel tutorial from Creativebug. Instructor Elke Bergeron is the founder of “by elke,” a small, handmade company that specializes in repurposed accessories and handbags. In other words, she’s got this.
9. Design It, Stitch It: Hand Embroidery ($25): Learn how to add a DIY flair to your next #OOTD with this eight-lesson embroidery course taught by embroiderer and author Jessica Marquez. If you live in the New York area, you can also take hand-embroidery classes from Jessica in real life at Purl Soho and Brooklyn Craft Company.
10. Photography for Bloggers ($29): It only makes sense that you show off your beautiful creations with beautiful images. In just an hour, professional photographer and blogger Lindsay Ostrom from Pinch of Yum can teach you the essentials of manual photography, lighting and composition.
