Chef Genevieve LaMonaca

Foolproof Beef Wellingtonby Chef Genevieve LaMonaca

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef Tenderloin center cut canon (ask your butcher)
  • 1-2 T Avocado Oil for searing
  • 8oz shallots, minced
  • 1 lb Mushrooms, cremini or button, minced
  • 6 T butter
  • 1 t thyme leaves
  • 1 T minced Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper TT
  • Pastry Dough x 2:
  • Bread Flour 1 1/2 cups plus 1 T
  • Butter 3/4 cup (6oz) cubed
  • Salt 1/2 t
  • Ice cold water 1/4 cup

Directions:

  • Slice off a 2 lb center cut canon from a beef tenderloin or ask your butcher.
  • Pat dry, season heavily with salt and pepper. sear on all sides using a fat with a high smoke point (Avocado oil)
  • Tip: Precooking your beef is the secret to preventing a soggy bottom crust and most of the moisture is removed prior. This will also ensure that your tenderloin is cooked perfect every time.
  • Roast in a 150 oven to an internal temp of 115. Chill
  • TIP: I like to measure my canon lengthwise side to side then the circumference by using butchers twine. This will help me determine the size I need to make my prosciutto bed and pastry sheet.
  • Make your mushroom duxelles. Saute half a pound of minced shallots in 6 T butter then add 1 lb finely chopped mushrooms and thyme, saute, deglaze with sherry wine as necessary, cook until pan is dry, add minced parsley, season and set aside.
  • Add flour and butter to a counter top mixer and using a paddle, combine on lowest speed until the butter is turned into crumbs and all the flour is Incorporated. Pour in your ice water and mix until combined. Place dough onto the counter and form into a ball then flatten/ wrap with plastic wrap and chill.

Meghan Markle is officially returning to our TV screens, but it's probably not what you're thinking. While everyone wishes that she was somehow re-joining the cast of Suits for a reunion season (still secretly hoping that will come true), or giving us another part to Harry & Meghan, she's actually starting a brand new venture. After dropping her ever-exclusive jams, Meghan's now set to star on her very own show called With Love, Meghan! She and Prince Harry — alongside their production company — are heading up this exciting new show, and we wanted to give you all the deets on what we know, when it will air, and what exciting guests will be on it!

Is Meghan Markle doing a cooking show?

Meghan Markle is doing a cooking show, and according to Deadline we'll get to "see The Duchess, otherwise known as Meghan Markle, celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship." We love the sound of that! And with Harry and Meghan having quite a lot of famous friendships, we'll see a few fun guest appearances like Mindy Kaling!

Why is Meghan Markle doing a cooking show?

Roy Choi and Meghan Markle

Meghan's seemingly always shown a passion for cooking and homemaking since her days of The Tig, a blog dedicated to all things in that same vein. Alongside that, she's also written her own cookbook (the proceeds of which went right to charity), and she also just released a jam from her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. So since this brand is going to be selling things like tableware, linens, and cooking items, we could see this cooking show really tying together all the different parts of her passions she's shown us over time.

Who will be doing the Meghan Markle's cooking show?

Deadlinereported that Sony Pictures is producing Meghan's show. They said, "It will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s The Intellectual Property Corporation, which is behind series including Hulu’s The D’Amelio Show and A&E’s Leah Remini: Scientology & the Aftermath."

They also reported that Archwell, Hariton and Aaron Saidman, and Eli Holzman for IPC will executive produce this project as well. It will premiere via Netfliix like all of the other projects Prince Harry and Meghan have done! We can't wait!

Where did Meghan Markle's new show film?

Courtesy of Netflix

Alice Waters and Meghan Markle

They actually filmed Meghan Markle's cooking show at a house just 2 miles away from the family's residence in Montecito, California. Prince Harry and Meghan seem to draw a lot of inspiration from where they live since Meghan's brand American Riviera Orchard was also inspired by the lovely Montecito, CA. Plus, they apparently wanted to keep production close by, which we can only presume is because of their sweet little kids.

When will we get to watch Meghan Markle's cooking show?

With Love, Meghan is premiering on Netflix next Wednesday, January 15! Based on the official trailer, we'll get to see another side of Meghan Markle that's unlike how portions of the media have portrayed her. Despite the fact Meghan has never harmed anyone personally, there are those who can't help but share nasty comments about anything she does.

However, those of us who love her will gladly be tuning in to watch her shine next week!

We'll be tuned in to watch her create a bit of magic in a world full of doom scrolling and fear because we need a touch of wanderlust. Also, how can we pass up reminders to create tasty meals in our kitchens?

The 2025 Golden Globes were filled with plenty of surprises (like the fact Demi Moore won her first ever acting award?!) but one thing I never saw coming was Zendaya showing up to the red carpet with what looked like an engagement ring on THAT finger. And on January 6, TMZ confirmed Tom Holland and Z are officially engaged!

Tom recently spilled that working with The Drama actress (and simply being in her life) is "the best thing that ever happened to me." Eek! This is one celebrity couple I want to be together forever, and if you're wondering "are Zendaya and Tom Holland engaged?" then you've come to the right place.

Here's everything you need to know about Tom Holland & Zendaya's engagement, and Zendaya's engagement ring.

Did Tom Holland and Zendaya actually get engaged?

Tom Holland and Zendaya engagement rumors have been circulating for quite awhile, and the internet freaked out when Z showed up to last night's Golden Globes with a diamond ring on her finger. TMZ reports that Tom popped the question in between Christmas and New Year's at one of Z's family homes. Their source also says the "romantic and intimate" proposal was private between the couple — which sounds exactly like something they'd do. The source also notes that the fiancés plan to get through their impressive upcoming Hollywood schedule before wedding planning.

While the ultra-private couple hadn't announced their engagement before the awards show, one recently-engaged LA Times reporter shared a moment with the actress, and the publication reported that Zendaya showed off the ring with "jazz" fingers, and when the reporter straight-up asked if she was engaged, Z "smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously."

Zendaya wore a custom orange Loui Vuitton dress to the awards show, as well as a gorgeous Bvlgari necklace with a blue Paraíba tourmaline at the center. However, the LA Times notes that Z's diamond ring was left out of the Bvlgari press release listing the rest of her jewelry.

Does Zendaya have a ring?

Zendaya's new ring was the star of the show at the Golden Globes, and for good reason. People reports that the recent addition to Z's jewelry box looks like a Jessica McCormack 5.02ct East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring. The piece is "set in a Georgian style cut-down setting," (which, given Z's low-key and classy style would totally fit her vibe!) in a 18k white and yellow gold band.

In a viral TikTok, Zendaya can be seen showing off her new ring (reportedly to producer Amy Pascal) with a huge smile on her face.

Did Tom Holland and Zendaya get a house together?

A source recently told Life & Style that Tom Holland and Zendaya are "basically living like a husband and wife already."

“For Tom’s part, he’s seen up close how settling down, getting serious and having kids has changed [friend Robert Pattinson],” the source continues. “Tom wants that life for himself and Zendaya, sooner rather than later.”

Tom and Zendaya clearly enjoy life out of the spotlight and one of my favorite things is seeing this couple out for walks with Z's dog Noon! Here's hoping they'll be able to walk their dogs for as long as they both shall live. ;)

Although The O.C.'s Seth & Summer and Gossip Girl's Chuck and Blair are THE teen drama couples, nothing made me happier than learning Adam Brody (Seth) and Leighton Meester (Blair) are actually married in real life. Despite the fact CW cast members Nina Dobrev and Jessica Szohr revealed the casts of these iconic shows would run into each other while filming, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester didn't actually meet on the Warner Bros. lot — they met at a restaurant! The couple has been married for over 10 years, and are just as cute as when they started dating. Here's a full look back at their relationship.

2011 — Adam Brody And Leighton Meester Meet Ahead Of Filming The Oranges

Leighton and Adam officially met in 2011 (four years after The O.C.'s final season and Gossip Girl's first season) while filming The Oranges. The film follows two families who have to deal with the fallout of the Wallings' patriarch having an affair with the Ostroffs' daughter.

"I was on The O.C., and that was coming to an end, and Gossip Girl was starting. Josh Schwartz produced both shows," Adam said during an episode of Anna Faris' Unqualified podcast. "The first time we met, that whole cast was eating at Canter's [in Los Angeles], and I lived at Canter's for, like, my entire 20s. I was leaving, and he introduced all of us and then [I] bumped into her, like, two or three times over the next couple of years.

"Then we did this movie together, The Oranges," he continued. "We didn't get together until about a year after that movie, when I was single."

He later told Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley that he was "smitten instantly" with Leighton. Sweet!

We don't go to a lot of things that perhaps we could and don't seek out promotion in that way. I'm not sh—ing on anyone who monetizes that aspect of their life because I get it.
