How to Pick Up Hotties Without Saying a Word

Listen, boys. Pick-up artistry is a tricky craft, and you know it. There’s a fine line between lame and downright inappropriate attempts, but when done right, the pick-up line can really deliver. So the DIYers of Bro + Co are going to help you out with some quality zingers and a fresh way to deliver them — printables! Instead of catcalling (ew, catcalling) or the classic, “do you, um come here often?” how about wearing these pick-up lines on your bro tank, man tote or tee? Simply download our five punny pick-up line printables, iron ’em onto your favorite garments and be on your charming way!

TBH, it was hard to narrow down to just five pick-up lines. So we’ll generously share our five runner-ups — just so, you know, you have more material to work with ;)

  1. “Are you a magician? Because abra-ca-DAYUMN!”
  2. “Are you friends with Harry Potter? Because you’re a-Gryffindor-able.”
  3. “You must be the square root of two, ’cause I feel irrational around you.”
  4. “If I were to ask you out on a date, would your answer be the same as the answer to this question?”
  5. “Are you my appendix? Because I have a funny feeling in my stomach that makes me feel like I should take you out.”

Also note this v. important advice from a dating veteran. Keep these in mind when picking us up:

  1. Avoid any lines having to do with your pants, please.
  2. If it can be said in a Disney Channel Original Movie, it’ll probably fly without offending us.
  3. Ask yourself: Are you comfortable saying this line with your mother in the room? Yeah.

Alright, let’s get to it!

I always feel like I’m on a constant search for the perfect white t-shirt. It can’t be too fitting or too loose, nor too long or too cropped. I’m picky!

Since brands make ‘em in so many different styles these days, it can be really hard to land on the go-to white tee for me! But, when I shop for wardrobe staples like this, I can always depend on real shopper reviews to tell me everything I need to know.

Based on my search thus far, these 7 white t-shirts are the most beloved for their fit, comfort level, and overall durability (you know how the washer + dryer can be). Stuck in the same endless loop in pursuing your dream white tee? Look no further than these top-rated styles you can wear all year long.

Gap

Gap Organic Cotton Vintage Shrunken T-Shirt

This white tee is intentionally shrunk, which honestly makes its fit all the better. It boasts a straight silhouette, a classic crewneck, and a semi-cropped hemline, all of which make this t-shirt elevated enough for work, but more casual for weekend wear. It's cut from a super soft, 100% organically grown cotton material that allows ample airflow.

This Gap tee has earned 4.5/5 stars with 79 certified 5-star ratings. Shoppers love how simplistic the style is:

"Fabric is cool but not too thin."

"Clean and simple but still feels pretty."

The Gap Organic Cotton Vintage Shrunken T-Shirt is shoppable in sizes XXS-XXL for $12.

Amazon

SanaRazo White Short Sleeve Crop Top

Made specifically for a 'slim fit', this t-shirt that you can snag on Amazon is visibly cropped to the perfect length. The hem lands a bit above the belly button, similar to your average baby tee. You will likely love it if you tend to wear high-waisted pants and want a balanced look. This tee is definitely more form-fitting than the previous Gap design, but it doesn't squeeze the body or arms tight at all. It's made from smooth and sweat-wicking breathable cotton material with a touch of spandex for added stretch, which is always appreciated for movin' around.

This SanaRazo shirt has earned 4.8/5 stars with 30 thorough 5-star reviews. Shoppers enjoy the overall material and how it fits them:

"Great quality, shirt fits very nicely."

"Love the thickness in material."

"It's a a slim fit, but not too tight."

The SanaRazo White Short Sleeve Crop Top is available in sizes XS-XL for $15.

Amazon

Comfort Colors Women's Short Sleeve Tee

I love the 100% cotton material that Comfort Colors uses for their t-shirts. It's quite thick and durable, which may sacrifice a bit of breathability, but at least I know it's gonna last me a long time. I will note that the fabric has the potential to fade slightly, depending on how you wash it. In my opinion, the fading gives it stylish edge. It just might not be everyone's thing!

This pick is fairly plain as far as white t-shirts go. It boasts a semi-fitted silhouette if you buy it in your usual size, but you can always size up for an oversized feel (which I prefer), or down for a body-hugging look.

This Comfort Colors tee has earned 4/5 stars with 1,929 5-star reviews. One criticism users have noted about the product is the sizing does run small. Here's what a few helpful reviews say:

"Be sure to order a size up, they run small."

"Comfort Colors is my go-to brand when I have a choice. Always can depend on the right fit and fabric that does not shrink or fall apart after washing."

"Love, love, love this shirt."

This Comfort Colors Women's Short Sleeve Tee is currently shoppable in sizes XS-XXL for $11 (was $15) on Amazon.

Amazon

Easy Gala Short Sleeve Scoop Neck T-Shirt

The signature quality of this white t-shirt is that it's buttery-soft to the touch and massively stretchy. It's crafted from a blend of 76% polyamide and 24% elastane, which lends it to unmatched comfort. The noticeable stretch can adapt to a range of shirt sizes, which is especially impressive if you tend to fluctuate between sizes (totally normal, BTW). The double-lined fabric forms to your body and smooths things down a bit. The elevated square neckline is really cool, too, if you just want to wear something a lil' different!

This Easy Gala white tee has earned 4.3/5 stars with 31 5-star reviews. Shoppers are impressed by the quality and fit:

"The fabric is very soft and very stretchy. The whole item is double-lined, even the sleeves. It feels really comfortable and provides some tummy control."

"This shirt makes me look and feel pretty sexy. It stretches but fit perfectly. Love the color options. Make of pretty strong material."

"Has not pilled after washing."

You can find the Easy Gala Short Sleeve Scoop Neck T-Shirt in sizes XS-XL for $20 on Amazon.

Amazon

Beumissy Women's Casual Crewneck T-Shirt

This next pick is *almost* like a baby tee, except boasts a longer hemline. The shorter sleeves (which are not quite cap sleeves, but not quite traditional either) emit a very feminine vibe, which can instantly dress up any ensemble you put together. This tee flaunts a high-cut, high-coverage crewneck. It's cut from 91% cotton and 9% elastane, so you get some good some stretch from this versatile top.

This Beumissy white t-shirt has earned 4.4/5 stars. Shoppers like the fit and feel of it, but some reviewers have noted that the fabric can be see-through:

"Ladies, wear a bra with this one."

"Usually, clothing tends to be cropped even if it's not specified but this was a nice full length shirt which works perfectly with low rise pants!"

"The fabric is stretchy and bounces back to the original size and shape when it’s off."

The Beumissy Women's Casual Crewneck T-Shirt is shoppable in sizes S-XL for $15.

Urban Outfitters

BDG Universal Shrunken Tee

This BDG tee comes purposely shrunken for a closer-to-the-body fit. It mimics most basic t-shirt silhouettes, except the hemline is slightly cropped, landing right around the waist. It's made from 100% soft-washed cotton for a cozy feel. This pick is pretty classic, plus it comes in a range of different colors and patterns to explore if you end up loving this white one!

This shirt has earned 4.3/5 stars from real shoppers:

"Cute and goes with everything!"

"I would definitely recommend sizing up one or two sizes if you really want a more baggier boxier fit."

You can find the BDG Universal Shrunken Tee in sizes XS-XXL for $20 from Urban Outfitters.

Everlane

Everlane The Organic Cotton Box-Cut Tee

This tee is truly timeless. It features a classic crewneck, a slightly cropped hemline, and a very loose, relaxed fit throughout. It's crafted from 100% organic cotton, which helps make wearing it super breathable and soft to the touch. Whether you wear it with jeans or a skirt, it's gonna feel supremely comfy!

This best-selling Everlane t-shirt has earned 4.6/5 stars with 664 5-star reviews. Shoppers say it's a great buy:

"They are the absolute best - very classic, soft cotton fabric and easy to launder. Great relaxed fit without being clingy or oversized."

"This has become a go to staple. I have wide shoulders and a short waist, and I am really happy with the fit of this tee on me."

"I recommend going one size up from your typical non-Everlane size."

The Everlane The Organic Cotton Box-Cut Tee is shoppable in many colors and sizes XXS-XXXL for $30. You can also buy a version with a front pocket accent in the same colors and sizes.

Tourism can be a blessing for the economy of many cities around the world, but it often comes at a price. Destinations like Venice and Bali are iconic for a reason — they’re unique, breathtaking places that lure travelers from around the globe. But when a travel destination becomes too popular, it risks losing its charm and overcrowding can strain infrastructure, inflate costs for locals, and disrupt the peace and quiet of small, serene towns.

Here are 12 destinations that have struggled with overtourism. The good news? Many are implementing smart strategies to balance tourism with sustainability. Planning to visit? Consider booking during the off-season for a more authentic and enjoyable experience or try these hidden gems.

Pixabay

Venice, Italy

Cruise ships and swarms of tourists have overwhelmed this picturesque city, leading to overcrowded canals, damaged infrastructure, and skyrocketing prices. The local population is dwindling as Venetians leave due to the city’s unsustainable tourism boom. Last spring, in an effort to manage the influx, the city put into effect an entry fee for day-trippers and has limited cruise ships docking its shores.

Oleksandr P

Bali, Indonesia

Once an idyllic paradise, Bali now suffers from traffic congestion, environmental degradation, and overcrowded beaches. The island’s resources are strained under the weight of mass tourism, but there are efforts underway to promote sustainability like putting a moratorium on new hotels.

Willian Justen de Vasconcellos

Machu Picchu, Peru

Overtourism has led to erosion and damage to this ancient Incan citadel. A quota system and mandatory guides are helping preserve this popular South American destination.

Darren Lawrence

Tulum, Mexico

Once a tranquil paradise known for its pristine beaches, ancient Mayan ruins, and eco-chic vibe, Tulum has become a cautionary tale of overtourism. The surge in popularity, fueled by Instagram-worthy scenery, has brought overcrowding, environmental strain, and rising costs. The Guardianreported that locals are being pushed out by developers and despite the thinking that tourism helps local communities, poverty nearly doubled between 2015 and 2020. Local ecosystems, including fragile mangroves and coral reefs, are threatened by unchecked construction and pollution too. The local ruins have implemented stricter rules like no food or drink to limit trash and environmental impact from tourists.

Jimmy Teoh

Santorini, Greece

Instagram fame has turned this once-serene island into a tourist hotspot. Narrow streets are perpetually clogged, and locals are struggling with soaring costs of living due to tourism demand. The government has since capped the number of daily cruise ship visitors to keep overtourism at bay.

Chait Goli

Cinque Terre, Italy

Known for its colorful cliffside villages and breathtaking coastal views, these once-quiet fishing towns now see millions of visitors annually, way more than they can handle. To combat issues like congestion and cruise ships, local authorities have introduced visitor caps and encourage sustainable travel to protect Cinque Terre’s charm.

Rudy Kirchner

Reykjavík, Iceland

Is there anyone not going to Iceland these days? A small country with breathtaking landscapes, Iceland has been overwhelmed by tourists flocking to Instagram-famous sites like the Blue Lagoon and Diamond Beach. It's best to travel during the off season (November to April) and travel to lesser known spots like the Sturlungalaug hot spring.

youseflns

Maya Bay, Thailand (Phi Phi Islands)

This iconic beach, popularized by the DiCaprio film The Beach, suffered ecological devastation from hordes of visitors and anchored boats. Coral reefs were destroyed, and the beach was closed for years to allow recovery. It has since reopened after a huge revitalization project, but they have introduced visitor caps.

Pixabay

Kyoto, Japan

Traditionally quiet streets of this ancient capital city now teem with tourists during peak season. An increase in litter from tourists has required the city to install more trash bins to handle the crowds, and peaceful geishas are often chased down for photos. To mitigate the problem, Kyoto is considering running special buses to popular sites to reduce overcrowding, and temples and shrines are encouraging visitors to come early in the morning.

Prabin Sunar

Mount Everest, Nepal

The ultimate challenge for adventurers, Mount Everest has experienced overcrowding on the slopes and at base camps, leading to dangerous conditions, with litter and human waste piling up on the mountain. Permits are now harder to get, and stricter regulations for climbers are being enforced.

Mateusz Popek

Dubrovnik, Croatia

The Game of Thrones effect brought an influx of fans to this medieval city. Overcrowded streets and cruise ship arrivals have made it difficult to appreciate its beauty. The local government is taking steps to limit daily visitors and impose stricter cruise ship regulations.

Helena I

Lisbon, Portugal

Short-term rentals dominate the housing market now, thanks to affordable flights and the digital nomad craze. This has led to skyrocketing rents and displaced locals. Historic neighborhoods are inundated with tourists, making them less charming too. Everything from public transport to waste management struggles to keep pace with the influx. I went in December and it still felt a bit like Disneyland. Douro Valley and Madeira might be more favorable destinations any time of year.

Can you believe that there is actually a whole holiday dedicated to eating as many beignets, King Cakes, and loaves of rainbow bread as you want?! Mardi Gras, we love you, but our bodies are glad you’re just a one-day holiday and not a week long ;) Inspired by the beautiful rainbow bagels made by the Bagel Store, this loaf also has some purple, gold and green hues to amp up the Mardi Gras spirit. Hand letter your own printable bread wrap to give it as a gift, or slice it up and top it with cream cheese and sprinkles. This recipe will yield three loaves of bread, but you may want to make more, because once it’s adorned with sprinkles, this fairy bread will have everyone coming back for more.

Ingredients:

  • 10 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 3 packets rapid rise yeast
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • purple, yellow and green food coloring (we used a mix of McCormick neon and assorted food coloring)
  • plastic wrap
  • dish towel
  • printable bread label

Instructions:

  1. Mix one cup of flour, one tablespoon of sugar, one teaspoon of salt and one packet of rapid rise yeast in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a microwaveable bowl, mix 3/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of milk, one Tablespoon of butter and about 10 drops of food coloring. Microwave on high for 45 seconds.
  3. Pour liquid mixture into the dry mixture and mix throughly. Once mixed, slowly add another 2 1/2 cups of flour.
  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each color of dye.
  5. Rip apart the colorful dough into small pellets and twist together to form a rainbow marbled effect.
  6. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and a dish towel and let it rise for one hour.
  7. Cut the risen dough into three equal loaves, place into greased pans and bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

This bread will yield three loaves of Mardi Gras goodness, so make sure you have enough of all the ingredients. Grab a mixing bowl and mix 1/3 of the dry ingredients together — one cup flour, one Tablespoon of sugar, one teaspoon of salt and one packet of yeast.

Grab a microwaveable bowl and mix 1/3 of the wet ingredients together — 3/4 cup of water, 1/4 cup of milk, one Tablespoon of butter and about 10 drops of food coloring. Microwave for 45 seconds on high.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Let’s also just call attention to that awesome purple color :)

Mix the wet and dry ingredients together, and then start slowly adding in another two and a half cups of flour. Mix it all the way until it forms one huge ball of dough.

Repeat the first set of steps for each color. Each will yield one loaf but we will be mixing the colors together to form rainbow magicalness.

Last but not least — the green! Don’t be afraid to try other colors. This is a great recipe to create any holiday loaf. (Don’t be surprised if we do it for Fourth of July too!)

Once you have all three loaves, pull apart each color into little pellets. Layer the colors when you put them in the bowl to get maximum color variation.

Use your hands to give this mega loaf a good couple of twists.

Cover with plastic wrap and a dish towel and let the dough rise for at least one hour.

Divide your loaf into three sections and place into a greased pan. If you don’t have a loaf pan, you can totally make a rounded loaf in a cake pan or on top of a cookie sheet. Bake for 30 mins at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wait for the bread to cool and then slice into magical rainbow bread.

If you’re nice enough to gift one of these loaves, we suggest printing out a bread wrap printable and hand-lettering a fun saying. Tie up with some baker’s twine or embroidery floss.

Sadly, there is no baby inside of this sweet dessert. But hey, we’re totally all for you continuing the King Cake tradition and adding the little trinket into your sweet loaves. Just remember to warn your guests ;)

Add sprinkles and enjoy!

Christmas cookie decorating is holiday tradition for us here at B+C, so we were so stoked to find this recipe for paleo cookies that adds a healthy twist to this classic holiday dessert. These sweet treats will shine among the rest of your Christmastime tablescape, and they are super easy to make. Plus, they'll pair well with just about any Christmas dessert. Just combine your paleo-friendly ingredients to prep the dough, let it sit overnight, then bake for ten minutes! The best part about this recipe is of course, all of the fun holiday-time shapes you can cut. Consider this recipe your go-to for healthy cookies, though, since you can make them year-round in any shape you like. Let's get to decorating!

Ingredients for Paleo Christmas Cookies

Brit + Co

For the cookies:

  • 1/2 cup grass-fed salted butter, softened
  • 6 tablespoons raw honey
  • 2 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

For the frosting:

  • 6 tablespoons coconut butter or coconut manna
  • 1/4 cup cacao butter
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey
  • Plant-based food coloring
  • Vegetable-dyed sprinkles, for topping*
* Look for vegetable and fruit-dyed food coloring and sprinkles in natural grocery stores or online, and avoid artificial colors to keep these cookies Paleo friendly!

How to Make Paleo Christmas Cookies

Brit + Co

  1. Add the softened butter and honey to a large mixing bowl. Cream the mixture together using a handheld mixer until it is smooth. Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract and whisk until they are well combined. Pour in the almond flour, coconut flour, and baking soda, and continue mixing until the batter has come together smoothly.
  2. Separate the dough into two, and place each one on top of a piece of plastic wrap. Roll each dough into a ball, then flatten to a thick disk, cover completely with the plastic wrap, and place in the refrigerator to firm up for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Remove one of the dough discs from the refrigerator, unwrap the plastic and place the dough on top of a piece of parchment paper, then top it with another piece of parchment paper. Use a roller to flatten out the dough to about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch thick. Work quickly with your favorite Christmas cookie cutters, and use a thin spatula to lift the cut cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 minutes. Let them cool for a few minutes, then place on a wire rack for further cooling. Gather the leftover scraps back into a ball in the plastic wrap or parchment paper and place it back in the refrigerator, while working with the other piece of dough. Do this in batches to keep the dough from getting too warm and so you don’t overcrowd the baking sheet.
  5. While the batches of cookies are baking, use a small saucepan to lightly melt the coconut butter and cacao butter together over low heat on the stovetop. Remove the pan from the heat when the ingredients have just melted together. Stir in the desired amount of honey, then set aside to cool and thicken up slightly. If you are using food coloring, add in the desired amount into the frosting mixture (1-2 teaspoons of green or red should do the trick). If you plan on only using white frosting, only use a small amount of honey, as it can make the frosting an off-white or light brown color.
  6. After the cookies have completely cooled, decorate them with the frosting and sprinkles as desired. If you don’t have any professional piping tools, an easy fix is to place the frosting in a plastic sandwich bag and remove all the air when sealing the top. Cut a tiny tip off one corner of the plastic bag, then gently squeeze and pipe over the cookies. Use one plastic bag or piping bag for each color of frosting. Top with corresponding sprinkles and enjoy!
