Prada Is Selling a $185 Paper Clip and the Internet Says Nah, We’re Good
There are a lot of pricey items we can get behind in the name of fashion. An expensive handbag that doubles as an investment? Sure. Shoes that will last through wedding season? Absolutely. But Prada might have taken things a little too far, offering a pricey new paper clip. Yep, a paper clip.
Right now, Barneys New York is selling a money clip designed to look like a paper clip for a whopping $185. This is just the latest in what seems like high-end designers trolling folks with expensive versions of ordinary, everyday items. See: Balenciaga’s IKEA-inspired tote and Balenciaga’s $1100 shopping bag. Obviously, the internet isn’t going to sit this one out — the Twitterverse immediately started sharing their thoughts:
