PSA: The Official Release Date of the Starbucks PSL Is Here!

When Starbucks stores received early shipments of pumpkin spice syrup sauce earlier this month, it sent coffee fans into a devoted investigation of the PSL release date. Their suspicions were correct. The PSL will officially return to Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada on August 28. Basically, Starbucks has decided that fall starts a month early this year. And not to make you feel old, but this year marks the iconic beverage’s 15th anniversary, meaning you’ve probably been drinking that sweet, cinnamon-y nectar for most of your life (!).

Here’s what you need to know about the return of the PSL: You can buy Starbucks’ most popular seasonal beverage as is (espresso, milk, and the iconic syrup made with real pumpkin and warming spices), or you can customize it. Try it with a different milk (soy, coconut, or almond); order it iced or as a Frappuccino; or add an extra shot of espresso if cooler weather makes you want to hibernate all day. Starbucks pumpkin spice products are also available in grocery stores, where you can stock up on pumpkin spice K-cups, instant lattes, cookie straws, and more, because we cannot get enough PSL. Prepare to pumpkin-ize your social media feeds!

For as many new menu items Starbucks has launched in the past several years or so, there’s a whole slew of drinks, syrups, and food items that were sadly slashed from the menu. Starbucks was founded way back in 1971, so you can only imagine the multitude of offerings that have come and gone since!

If you’re a Starbucks fan yearning for the return of the Orange Mocha or craving their famed Bagel Bites (same here), we bet you totally forgot about the rest of these 25 amazing (but discontinued) Starbucks items.

Scroll on for 25 discontinued Starbucks items that’ll jog your memory of the coffee chain’s menu lineup and have your cravings running wild!

Discontinued Starbucks Drinks

Starbucks

1. Salted Caramel Mocha

This discontinued mocha drink featured a strong salted caramel flavor, thanks to the smoked sea salt it was crafted with. Though your Starbucks baristas could make a very similar drink using the chain's caramel syrup and some sea salt, they no longer carry the smoked sea salt.

One barista Redditor said "it’s not the same unless we have the smoked sea salt.”

Many more agreed in the thread: "The salt was the best part," another person wrote. "When I'd go order of they said they were out of the salt, I'd pick a different drink!"

“I actually am glad Starbucks doesn’t have these anymore," one more user commented. "I probably gained 20lbs alone because of this one drink. Soooo good."

Starbucks UK

2. Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher

“I’m still salty over this!” one Redditor said about the now-discontinued Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher. It's still sold in the UK, so you could hop across the pond if you're really craving it!

Tasting Table

3. Valencia Orange Refresher

R.I.P. to this orange-flavored Refresher. Gone, but not forgotten!

Starbucks UK

4. Cool Lime Refresher

Starbucks actually sold a lime-forward Refresher, too. But no longer. 😭

Starbucks

5. Dark Cherry Mocha

Oh, this sounds so good. Made with a mix of dark chocolate mocha and cherry syrup (which Starbies no longer carries... for now), this bev was also orderable iced or in Frappuccino form.

Starbucks Bahamas

6. Orange Mocha

Orange and chocolate is an immaculate flavor combo – we wish Starbucks would bring it back! But for now, it's only sold in the Bahamas.

Starbucks

7. Gingerbread Latte

The Gingerbread Latte is one of those discontinued Starbucks items that always has a big hullabaloo surrounding its disappearance. It was a seasonal drink that was so popular around the winter holidays for its warm, cozy flavors.

"I don't get why they discontinued it when it was so popular,” one Redditor complained. Same.

Starbucks New Zealand

8. S’mores Frappuccino

When it comes to very sweet Starbucks sips, the now-gone S'mores Frappuccino hit the nail on its head.

"This was my favorite thing ever," one Redditor noted. "The 'marshmallow' component was iconic."

To our surprise, it's actually available on the Starbucks New Zealand menu!

eBay

9. Oprah Chai

Per Starbucks, Oprah teamed up with Starbucks in 2014 to create the Teavana Oprah Chai Tea, which raised $21 million to support youth education organizations across the country. An iconic collab, if you ask us!

Baristas on Reddit noted the Oprah Chai “seemed a lot more cinnamon-y compared to normal chai.” It was also reportedly vegan while the regular Starbucks chai technically isn't since it's made with honey.

Reddit

10. Juniper Latte

With herby notes, the Juniper Latte likely didn't last long on Starbucks menus because of its unique (and honestly, lesser-known) flavor profile. It came around once around the holidays, and poof, it was gone just as quickly.

It was my favorite drink that I knew would only last a season," one Starbucks fan said.

Discontinued Starbucks Syrups

Amazon

1. Raspberry Syrup

Starbucks no longer sells raspberry syrup. *Cries.* It was so tasty as an addition to both regular mochas and white chocolate mochas alike!

Walmart

2. Pineapple Ginger Syrup

We had no clue Starbies ever served something like this! Pineapple and ginger sounds like such a nice, refreshing combo for a summery sip like a Refresher or iced tea – but we sadly will never know what it's like.

Walmart

3. Irish Cream Syrup

Remember Starbucks' Irish Cream Cold Brew? Us, too. We miss it! Turns out, Irish cream used to be a pretty regular flavor at the chain. Per one barista:

“When I first started in 2003, it was part of the permanent syrup lineup. When it was brought back for a few years for the Irish Cream cold brew, I was overjoyed because I could make Irish Cream lattes again. Then corporate had the audacity to not bring it back last year.”

Discontinued Starbucks Food

Reddit

1. Almond Croissant

Ooh, la la! We still yearn for this flaky pastry. Luckily, Starbucks still has the Chocolate Croissant and Ham & Swiss Croissant to fill the void from this discontinued item.

Kristen Carli / Mashed

2. Southwest Veggie Wrap

Real OG fans will remember the Southwest Veggie Wrap. Filled with potatoes, eggs, cheese, and black beans, it was a reliable vegetarian item in the Starbucks breakfast lineup.

“I talk about this at least once a week since they've discontinued it 😭,” one person said.

Damn Delicious

3. Chicken & Hummus Box

Starbucks has slowly been pulling back on their protein box selection. One long-forgotten box is the Chicken & Hummus Box, which featured a healthy medley of hummus, chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, and pita bread for on the go snackin'.

“I think about this one monthly," one Redditor said. "So much protein in one lunch.”

"I lived on these for lunch," another said.

Anete Lusina / PEXELS

4. Chocolate Cream Cheese Muffins

Woah, these sound so yum. Anything with chocolate has our attention, obvi. Sadly, the Starbucks Chocolate Cream Cheese Muffins are nowhere to be found.

Aleksandar Pasaric / PEXELS

5. Bananas

Back in the good old days, Starbucks sold bananas that could be enjoyed on their own or blended into drinks like smoothies (yes, smoothies!) and Frappuccinos.

“A Java Chip Frap with a banana blended in was delightful," one Redditor wrote.

Starbucks Bahamas

6. Chicken Caprese Panini

Allegedly, Starbucks used to sell a ton of different panini flavors. In addition to the discontinued Chicken Caprese Panini, you could also find the Chicken Santa Fe Panini, Turkey Rustico Panini, Holiday Turkey Stuffing Panini, and the Chicken Artichoke Panini on menus.

Momoluv / Instructables

7. Salted Caramel Cake Pop

Oh, wow. This cake pop looks divine. Too bad you can't order it anymore!

Mobola Odukoya / PEXELS

8. Strawberry Crème Scones

Same goes for these strawberry-clad cones. We can't resist a sweet treat!

Reddit

9. Chicken Sausage Biscuit

On the more savory side, we really wish Starbucks would pop off with more chicken-based breakfast options like this now-discontinued biscuit sammie.

Starbucks Indonesia

10. Bagel Bites

Bagel bites were the bomb in Starbucks' heyday. Filled with cheese, they truly made a nice midday snack.

Starbucks

11. Cookie Dough Cake Pop

Apparently this Cookie Dough Cake Pop was so beloved, there's even a petition to bring it back.

Jen Hartnett / Pinterest

12. Honey Pistachio Croissant

This treat looks like something you'd find at a gourmet bakery – but nope, it was one of Starbucks' very own. With sweet notes of honey and nutty pistachio, we think it'd go great with their current winter menu!

Do you love dogs yet dread the constant cleaning that comes with shedding? Countless people can relate.

But while every dog owner knows a little fur is inevitable, certain breeds are known for being lower-shedding.

Whether you suffer from allergies or just want to reduce the time you spend cleaning up hair around your living space, here are 12 low-shedding dog breeds that'll make great additions to your household (without the mess).

Scroll to find out the best low-shedding dog breeds!

1. Poodles

Goochie Poochie Grooming

Poodles are known for their hypoallergenic coats, so they shed very little and are ideal for anyone seeking a low-shedding pet.

This breed also comes in three sizes, the Standard, Miniature, and Toy, and is easy to train due to its high intelligence. Just keep in mind that, regardless of their size, all Poodles require regular grooming to keep their curly coats free from mats and tangles.

2. Bichon Frise

RDNE Stock project

Just like the Poodle, the Bichon Frise is another breed that features a hypoallergenic coat. These dogs are tiny, cheerful, and popular due to their friendly nature.

Plus, they're known for being very smart and trainable, making them great family pets that keep clean up around the house to a minimum.

3. Labradoodle

ten Brinke photography

Originally bred as a hypoallergenic service dog, the Labradoodle is a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle.

These dogs inherited low-shedding coats, thanks to Poodle parents, and are favored for their friendly and affectionate nature. They thrive when given plenty of exercise and early socialization.

4. Maltese

Katya Wolf

Malteses are adorably tiny and cuddly hypoallergenic dogs prized for their silky white coats. They make playful and loving companions, but owners have to stay on top of their grooming routine.

If you prefer that your Maltese has a longer coat, regular maintenance is important to prevent any mats. Otherwise, keeping a shorter "puppy" cut can make grooming much easier.

5. Yorkshire Terrier

JÉSHOOTS

Affectionately referred to as "Yorkies," Yorkshire Terriers are little hypoallergenic dogs with big personalities. They crave attention and are very loyal to their owners.

These pups also shed minimally and can adapt well to a range of households, from cozy apartments to spacious homes.

6. Schnauzers

Sebastian Coman Travel

You may not know that there are three Schnauzer breeds, including the Miniature Schnauzer, the Standard Schnauzer, and the Giant Schnauzer. Despite their size differences, all three are low-shedding.

Miniature Schnauzers are revered for their intelligence and typically weigh between 10 and 20 pounds. Standard Schnauzers, on the other hand, are also known for their smarts and enjoy long walks and mental stimulation. They just can weigh as much as 45 pounds.

Giant Schnauzers can reach up to 85 pounds and are some of the largest hypoallergenic dogs. To keep these pups happy, give them a lot of playtime and exercise.

7. Havanese

Paul Groom Photography Bristol

The Havanese is a little, playful breed that's popular for its charming personality and silky coat that doesn't shed much.

These furry friends adore human interaction, making them devoted companions, and are considered low-shedding. All they need is some regular grooming to keep their coat smooth and tangle-free.

8. Italian Greyhound

Alina Skazka

Italian Greyhounds are sleek and elegant, featuring short, smooth coats that barely shed. Contrary to what their graceful appearance might suggest, these dogs are also very playful, affectionate, and sensitive.

If you're searching for a sophisticated yet loving dog that doesn't require a lot of cleanup, this breed may be your perfect match.

9. Portuguese Water Dog

Julissa Helmuth

Portuguese Water Dogs were first bred to work alongside fishermen. Today, they're regaled for their energy and athleticism, making them a great option for active families.

These dogs also have hypoallergenic fur and don't shed much. If you're an outdoor enthusiast who wants to maintain a fur-free home, the Portuguese Water Dog might be the pet for you.

10. Basenji

Elina Volkova

This unique, cat-like breed is famous for its barkless nature. It actually makes a distinctive "yodel" sound!

Basenjis are very intelligent, playful, and sometimes mischievous, with a high prey drive. Additionally, they don't shed a lot, have minimal grooming requirements, and are often free from usual canine odors.

11. Shih Tzu

Edyttka Stawiarska

The Shih Tzu was initially bred as a companion pet in China and has remained a famous lap dog to this day. They love human company and usually stick to their owners' sides.

But while they're low-shedding, these dogs will still grow a long, luxurious coat that requires regular grooming. Otherwise, you can keep it trimmed shorter for easier maintenance.

12. Brussels Griffon

Mladen Šćekić

Lastly, the Brussels Griffon is a small breed with a rough coat that's non-shedding and simple to groom. That's why these dogs are stellar choices for anyone seeking a low-maintenance pet.

In terms of temperament, Brussels Griffons are smart, affectionate, sensitive, and quite cuddly.

Costco just restocked a very famous Starbucks drink, so if you’re a big fan of their Refreshers, you’re going to want to make a beeline to your nearest store ASAP.

Scroll on for all the details about shopping the Starbucks Pink Drink at Costco!

Costco

That’s right – Costco just added the bottled version of Starbucks’ Pink Drink to their shelves! This ready-to-drink version has the same “fruity and refreshing” effect you’d expect from the cafe favorite, as it’s made with the chain’s Strawberry Acai Refresher base and accented with coconut milk.

Costco

Each 8-ounce bottle is dairy-free, vegan, and has only 90 calories. The pack Costco is selling comes complete with 12 bottles, so you can easily stock your fridge with a fun little sip.

Starbucks

Costco fan account @costcobuys shared the newly-restocked Pink Drink with their Instagram followers and highlighted that their Costco location had the item listed for $16.99.

However, Costco’s website lists the 12-pack for $19.99, so the exact price may vary based on where you live.

Starbucks

Regardless, that puts each bottle of the Starbucks drink at around $2 each, which is significantly less money than what you’d spend for a freshly-made bev at a Starbucks location.

The Starbucks Pink Drink typically goes for around $5, plus tax. If you want to save on your Starbies habit, this new Costco find is a must!

Costco

Costco also carries many more Starbucks items in bulk like instant coffee, whole coffee beans, Nespresso pods, and even hot cocoa mix.

As much as we'd love to hear that BridgertonSeason 4 is releasing earlier than next year, we'll have to settle for as many teasers and first looks as we can get for now! Fans already know Yerin Ha will be stepping into Sophie Baek's shoes alongside Luke Thompson as Benedict, but Netflix finally released something that'll keep us satiated for a while. We can't promise much else — except these two are clearly going to make our hearts race when they're finally on-screen.

Here's the official Bridgerton Season 4 first look with Sophie & Benedict!

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Benedict's always been one of the lighthearted Bridgerton siblings, but Season 3 showed up just how, uh, free he can be. While he and Eloise did discuss their mutual feelings of wanting to explore life, it seems our loving bachelor is set on finding love in unexpected places.

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Benedict may not have fallen in love with Tilley, but it appears he's head over heels for Sophie and we think it's adorable. But, there's one glaring problem: Sophie's a maid who has plenty of secrets.

Never before have any of the Bridgerton children gotten romantically involved with someone who's in another social class, so this already sounds scandalous.

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Ah, but what will the watchful Queen Charlotte think? Remember, she was certain she was going to expose and punish Lady Whistledown before Penelope's moving speech got her to change her mind. We can only guess how she'll feel about the Bridgertons once she learns of Benedict and Sophie's forbidden romance.

In the meantime, we're already dreaming up as much as we can about this exciting season with these pictures! Oh, and did we mention there's a video too?!

Seriously...season 4 can't come fast enough!!!

We can't wait to see how Benedict and Sophie's love shakes up the Ton in Season 4. We're sure Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury will have much to discuss!

Lately, we don't have to look far for doomsday news or potential policies that make us feel like a dystopian future will soon be our reality. Although we like to joke about it, we've seen pop culture seemingly predict our current societal and political landscape via everything from episodes of the The Simpsons to the books we've read over the years, wondering how these fictitious communities could experience horrible environments at the hands of others' decisions.

Since art is often bred from very real feelings about history's patterns, we think it's time to open a few relatable books. In our eyes, unprecedented times call for reading thought-provoking work that may seem bleak, but offers hope set in motion by one person's courage in the face of oppression and fear. These are the best dystopian books you should read in 2025.

Here are 15 dystopian books to read if you're tired of doom scrolling on social media.
