And the Ingredients for the Best Event Ever Are…

Can we just go back to Re:Make? Seriously, last weekend was the hottest DIY party on the block, or at least the West Coast, and we caaaan’t stop, and we woooon’t stop thinking about it. (Right, Miley?) If you managed to make it out to Fort Mason, we hope that you feel the same way AND got to make and create with the B+C team. Here’s a quick wrap-up of our favorite make stations and the sponsors that made it all possible!

As you entered Re:Make at Fort Mason, there’s no way you could have missed the huge paint-by-numbers mural by Lowe’s. It was pretty neat to watch the mural go from black and white on Friday to a bright view of the Golden Gate Bridge on Saturday. All thanks to you guys, of course!

Lowe’s also set up three separate photo booths, provided insta-printed photos, AND allowed festival-goers to step into the living room of the future. Um… can you say C-O-O-L?

Did you stop by the Michaels Raw Bar? Of course you did. This was total DIY-heaven and we’re not even sure there was a limit on the number of creative projects you could make here! In addition to the Raw Bar, Michaels also gave all conference attendees the supplies to make and paint snazzy cork vases in #MakeBreaks. Can we have #MakeBreaks everyday, please?

Hands down, Wilton had the *sweetest* make station at Re:Make. Not only did the sugar cookie props make for the best Instagram photos, they also provided that little extra sugar rush to keep us DIY-ing (and shopping!).

Don’t even get us started on the cute IZZE totes that you could paint on Saturday! Such a great DIY project, and the VERY best way to carry all of our Re:Make purchases around. Also, Friday’s post-conference cocktail hour featured three exclusive IZZE cocktail drinks. Bottoms up!

The Hallmark DIY station was constantly jam-packed with makers. We love how the idea of sending personal greeting cards is back in style. Sometimes, a text or email just doesn’t cut it.

Dear NatureBox, thank you for the delicious snacks that really kept us going. We loved trying all of the trail mixes on Day 2, and we were super appreciative of the NatureBox recharge snack station on Day 1. #makersgonnaKEEPmaking

During Day 1’s conference, TechShop CEO Mark Hatch made a very bold statement. On the state of the maker movement, he told the audience: “If you thought the Internet was big, this is going to be bigger.” Well, Mark, we would have to agree. Festival attendees’ jaws were literally dropping at the TechShop station on Saturday. Really! People were standing there gaping at the sight of 3D printers and laser cutters and all things new and cool in tech in action. Just want to say, told you so. ;) #3Dprinting

The LEGO station at Re:Make truly proved that you are never too old to build and create with tiny plastic bricks. Thank goodness for that.

Did you see the Brit + Co team walking around with great, beachy hair? Well thanks to the Yes To booth, festival attendees could get pampered and primped. Love it!

Beacon Adhesives gave festival-goers the chance to do a good ol’ fashioned paper, scissors and glue craft. As for the writer of this article (hi there!), my paper California artwork is hanging prominently on my fridge.

Did you get a chance to play with the eBrush at the Craftwell station? We don’t think we’ll ever be able to wear shoes not DIYed with this crazy cool tool ever again :(

Method invited us to share our deepest, funniest, dirtiest secrets at their photo booth. Okay, we admit it – we text in the bathroom. And we might wear our swimsuit bottoms when we run out of laundry. #oops

Did you hit up the LUNA Bar booth and try all of their brand new flavors? WE DID! We still cannot decide which is our favorite: Lemon Vanilla vs. Chocolate Coconut Almond. You should weigh in in the comments below!

We’re officially hooked on Philz Coffee. The company’s mantra is “one cup at a time” and each one was definitely made with a lotta love. Thanks for keeping us going, Philz.

Yep, we’re already using our Blurb bookmarks. How were we just folding corners and using receipts before? Psh. This is a definite upgrade.

Here at Brit + Co, several employees may have all worn their Forever 21 DIY headbands on the same day… It was unintentional, we swear! The headbands are just so cute and our photo booth outtakes are just so awesome…

We want to go to work/school everyday in the Yoobi bus — how cool would that be? It totally made us feel like a kid again, which is always a good thing. Plus, the giant inflatable Twister board. Don’t lie… you could have stayed there playing all day. Well, if there wasn’t a DIY station still to check off your list.

What did you think of Re:Make? What was your favorite part? Let us know in the comments below.

Imagine a colorful world with all of your female idols speaking, creative workshops everywhere you turn, food that will make you salivate, must-see music performances and, most importantly, dozens of ‘grammable moments all around.

Historically, we’ve brought Brit + Co to life annually with Re:Make, a two-day event we’ve hosted in San Francisco attended by nearly 15,000 women.

But this year, we’re trying something new called #CreateGood! Not only will we be visiting our friends on the East Coast, but we’re also switching up the format. Instead of two days, we’ll be live for FIVE.

That’s right. This year Brit + Co will be hosting a new type of event in NYC from October 4th through 8th in the heart of SoHo: a fully immersive digital program culminating in a five-day pop-up experience with the theme of #CreateGood.

Our goal for #CreateGood is to enable women to walk away feeling like a more creative and confident version of themselves through speakers, workshops, live performances, and more. We want to show the GOOD women can achieve in all areas of their life, from good food to good style to good work and good minds.

We chose this theme because we believe it’s the right moment in time to pause and consider how we, as women, can both do good for the world, but also for ourselves.

Beyond all that, like all B+C events, we promise that there will be confetti, balloons, and color… SO MUCH COLOR. So make sure to bring your phone, because you’ll definitely want to take part in all the photo-worthy moments we’re creating.

Can’t make it to NYC in the fall? No worries. While we’d love to see you IRL, we totally understand you’ve got a busy schedule, girl. That’s why all #CreateGood content will be streamed to our audience across Brit + Co social channels for a fully digital experience. So, make sure to like and follow us STAT ;)

Stay tuned over the coming months as we share more details of our next-level lineup of activities, performers, and speakers joining us. Want to be the first to know? Sign up for our #CreateGood newsletterHERE.

Can’t wait to see y’all there!

xo, Brit

Are you planning on attending our pop-up in NYC? Let us know on Twitter using the hashtag #CreateGood. We can’t wait to party with you! And make sure to stay up-to-date on speakers, programming, and more right HERE.

In case you missed it, last weekend was Brit + Co’s fourth annual Re:Make conference in San Francisco. One of our keynote speakers was a scholar, the founder of COURAGEWorks and the giver of one of the most inspirational TEDTalks of all time Dr. Brené Brown delivered a brilliant message about courage and vulnerability. Her quotes have been so inspiring, she recently collaborated with Sugarboo to launch The Brave Heart Gallery, which sells artworks of her quotes (also 20 percent of the proceeds go to a really good cause). Her most recent book RisingStrong explores how “falling gives us the power to write a daring new ending” and how processing the pain head on is can be strength. And according to Brené, when it comes being a creative woman, though not everything you do will be a success, daring to do it anyway is deeply important.

Being a creative in this day and age can at times be daunting — uncertainty about job security, the fear of rejection and staying in love with your passion after it becomes your job can be more than enough to turn people away. “When your vocation becomes your occupation, there’s always a little shift, so you have to protect it,” Brené tells us. “You have to keep the love alive so it doesn’t become just another thing you have to do, because then you can’t put the magic in it.”

And for creative women, we face an additional catalog of hurdles. “Creativity is kind of revealing a part of our soul, and we live in a pretty hostile environment,” Brené says, “so I think it’s scary to put yourself out there when there are so many critics and cynics out there today. I think that’s what make creativity scary, and I think that’s what make it powerful.” Rising in the face of adversity is certainly a strong statement. As our FLOTUS put it, “When they go low, we go high.”

And when you put yourself out there — yes, sometimes you’re going to fail. That’s okay. What you have to be careful of is letting your failures define you. “One of the big life stages at mid-life, anywhere from mid-thirties to late-fifties, the big developmental life stage is integration. We bring home all the parts of ourselves that we have orphaned because we don’t they fit in with who we’re supposed to be, we call them all home and we say, ‘This is me. The good, the bad, the tough, the beautiful.’,” Brené tells us. “I think that’s the gift of being my age, I have a very sensitive bulls–t meter so if you haven’t called everything home and made peace with those parts of us that are hard, that’s hard to be around.” And being able to pick up again after your fall — or even forgiving yourself for lingering down there too long — is all part of the process.

When I opened my Instagram feed and saw a picture of Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal together again, my first reaction was "AH!" — especially since they're sitting on a couch, just like they do at the end of When Harry Met Sally. Not to mention the fact Billy's wearing a pullover very similar to his iconic cable knit sweater in the rom-com. The duo announced they're reuniting for a special surprise and we finally know what that surprise is: a 2025 Super Bowl commercial.

Here's everything we know about Meg Ryan & Billy Crystal's When Harry Met Sally Super Bowl commercial.

Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal recreate 'When Harry Met Sally's most iconic scene.

For Hellmann's mayonnaise's 2025, Super Bowl ad Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal headed back to Katz's Deli in New York City, where they filmed When Harry Met Sally's "I'll have what she's having" scene. You know, when Sally pretends to have an orgasm while eating her sandwich, proving to Harry that women really do know how to fake it.

Well, when Meg admits her sandwich "isn't doing it," a squeeze of Hellman's mayo fixes everything — and gets Meg to reenact the iconic movie moment. A surprise appearance from Sydney Sweeney, who tells the waiter she'll have what Meg's having, is the perfect way to end the ad!

Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal made a joint Instagram post on January 22 teasing a big surprise. "It’s finally happening, we’re reuniting for something iconic," Meg says in the caption. "Can’t wait to show you all soon 💙."

My favorite thing about the post (aside from the surprise, obviously) is the fact that Meg and Billy are in outfits their When Harry Met Sally characters would totally approve of. Meg's blazer and button down and Billy's white cable knit sweater? Say no more!

"I bet it’s a Super Bowl ad ❤️," one user comments, while another agrees, "I need a sequel (but I’m thinking it’s a Super Bowl commercial?)."

Although a third comment totally summarizes how I'm feeling: "IT’S HAPPENING OH MY GOD EVERYONE REMAIN CALM."

Bleecker Street

The last time we saw Meg Ryan onscreen, it was for her latest rom-com What Happens Later. The movie follows two exes who spend a night of adventure together when they're stranded at an airport.

“It’s a different story than when you’re in your 20s,” Meg told Glamour. “I wanted to make something beautiful and offer a new way of thinking about what love is.”

And this new movie connects to her other films, like When Harry Met Sally, because “whatever was happening, they were destined to find one another," she continues. "There’s a comfort in the kismet and the idea of an inevitable connection. It’s a wonderland idea. It’s an enchanted idea.”

The Super Bowl ad comes a month after Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson's 'Gilmore Girls' reunion.

And old school media lovers are living large because this isn't the only reunion we've gotten lately! At the beginning of December, Gilmore Girls fans were in for a treat when Lauren Graham and Scott Patterson reunited as Luke and Lorelai for a Walmart commercial (alongside Sean Gunn as Kirk, naturally).

The commercial features Luke and Lorelai standing in Luke's diner talking all things "coffee coffee coffee," with Luke in his signature flannel and Lor wearing a sherpa jacket she'd be all over in 2025.

It all started when Lauren Graham teased the collab on Instagram, saying she had "something brewing." And Scott's post that he was "back at #LukesDiner for something really special," fans picked up on it. "KING LUKE WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?!?" one user commented. "I’m ready for whatever this is ☕️ 😍," a second added.

It's no secret that I'm an absolute fiend for a good pair of sneakers. Plus, my shoe collection is constantly growing, thanks to fashion's ever-changing sneaker trends. Last year, the Adidas Sambas ran rampant. Seriously – it seemed like I couldn't go anywhere without seeing someone sporting that classic trio of stripes.

But, it's 2025 – the new year undeniably brings in a whole new set of sneaker trends, and TBH, I'm glad we're collectively moving past the Samba-fication of fashion. This year's most prominent sneaker trends are, of course, still sporty, but a lot of up-and-coming styles are more experimental when it comes to their features.

I truly want to wear all of these sneaker trends in 2025 in one way or another. Shoes will always make (or break) an outfit, so hopping on the trend bandwagon will instantly make your looks that much more iconic.

Scroll on to discover the biggest sneaker trends of 2025!

1. Old School Track-Inspired Sneakers

Puma

Puma Speedcat OG Sneakers

In 2025, we're reimagining the ever-popular three-striped sneaker, especially with designs like this that recall popular retro track and field sneakers.

The single-stripe Puma Speedcats have been spotted on numerous celebs already, so they're bound to explode into the fashion canon quite soon. Snag your suede- and leather-covered pair in this simple black + white combo for endless outfit possibilities!

SeaVees

SeaVees Acorn Trainers

If you prefer your sneaks to provide a nice pop of color, opt for these trainers from SeaVees. This bright yellow colorway is truly living in my mind rent-free, but they also come in many more playful hues like red, green, and blue. Oh, they're also extremely comfy on the feet – they'll be perfect for you if you're on your feet frequently.

Onitsuka Tiger

Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 Sneakers

The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66's hit the scene hard around the same time as the Adidas Sambas did, growing popular for their sporty, streamlined silhouette. You can snag 'em in plenty of different colors – I personally love this yellow + green + red combo since it sets you up nicely for pairing with pants, skirts, sweaters, and the like.

2. Velcro Sneakers

Steve Madden

Steve Madden Momentum Sneakers

I'm fully on-board with this next 2025 sneaker trend – AKA ditching pesky laces for some simpler velcro bands. Not only do these velcro-ed sneaks expedite the getting-ready process, they also add some cool visual intrigue to the bottom half of your 'fits.

Veja

Veja Recife Sneakers

These black Vejas boast a contrasting gum sole that really channels skater style – and I love it.

Charlotte Stone

Charlotte Stone Conway Sneakers

Take the colorful route with this insanely cute mismatched pair. The plethora of colors and easy velcro bands on 'em are making my inner child sohappy.

3. Stark White Sneakers

Nordstrom

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top Sneakers

Now onto the very opposite of the fun color spectrum. Stark white sneakers will be huge in 2025, especially cult-classic styles like these Converse kicks. They're easy to wear and pair, but the tricky part is just keeping them clean.

Nordstrom

Madewell Sidewalk Low Top Sneakers

When it comes to this sneaker trend, low-profile sneaks are the way to go. I think they'd be even more fun to wear with some colorful socks!

Nordstrom

Sam Edelman Pippy Platform Sneakers

For a lil' boost in height, opt for some punchy platforms. When it comes to low-top sneakers like this, cropped pants or jeans work wonderfully.

4. Technical Sneakers

Salomon

Salomon XT-6 Sneakers

This sneaker trend is by far my favorite for 2025 – likely because it speaks to the hiker in me – but technical sneakers aren't necessarily limited to outdoor adventure wear anymore! Technical sneakers still offer you all the benefits meant for athletic use, but people are wearing them way more casually these days.

Sneaks like the Salomon XT-6's (deemed 'sportstyle' shoes) have definitely earned their streetwear title, even though they were originally developed for long-distance runs in harsh conditions.

Sandy Liang's (now sold-out, but so cute) collaborative designs with Salomon showcase that these sneakers tap more into 'style' rather than 'sport', boasting ribbon laces and pristine baby pink colorways.

Keen

Keen Jasper Zionic Sneakers

Keen is another big brand when it comes to stylish technical sneaks. Their Jasper sneaker design is clearly climbing-inspired, functioning as an approach shoe if you were to hit the crag.

Though they speak strongly to my love for climbing, I'd also say that they're just as cool when worn on the streets. They've jazzed up the classic Jasper in this Jasper Zionic silhouette with more traction on the soles and 3 equally iconic colorways.

Merrell

Merrell Moab 3 Camo Waterproof Sneakers

Finally, these hiking sneakers are an undeniable fit for everyday fashion – the more-femme color palette is too cute. You could easily style them with the right skirt or mini dress. Plus, when it comes to trending colors, this brown + pink (I call it Neapolitan, like the ice cream flavor) pairing will be everywhere in 2025.

5. Ballet Sneakers

Nordstrom

Jeffrey Campbell Athletic Sneakers

Ballet sneakers are slowly becoming more and more popular. I love that they offer the cuteness of a ballet flat, but the comfort of a well-constructed sneaker. The best of both worlds awaits you with these adorable Jeffrey Campbell shoes!

Free People

Ash Rolls Sneakers

These sneaks from Ash Rolls boast a very New Balance-esuqe colorway with a combo of metallic silver and white. The key to ballet sneakers is the classic top strap!

Anthropologie

Jeffrey Campbell Regimen Ballet Sneakers

But you can also find fun lace-up styles like this, which also get right to the heart of ballet style. I'm obsessed with how far up the ankle these laces reach.
