We hosted our second Re:Make event this past weekend in Austin… and it was awesome! Couldn’t “make” it to Texas to check it out? Don’t worry, we’re about to recap the best of Re:Make ATX right here!
We took over hall two of the Palmer Events Center for two days of action-packed creativity and fun. Oh, and both days were FREE to the general public. Does it get any better than that? We had DIY projects galore and over 60 artisans selling their innovative goods and products.
From letterpress and jewelry to home goods and clothes, we were amazed at the design and aesthetic that each and every maker brought to Palmer Events Center.
A big thank you to all of the makers who came out for the show—you rocked it!
Now, let’s talk DIY. Everyone got the chance to get their DIY on at the Brit + Co DIY station. We were making laser cut necklaces like it was nobody’s business. We also had 3D printers and assorted goods from our Brit + Co SF retail shop.
Our friends at Michaels brought tons of DIY supplies with them to Austin. Attendees were able to make their own colorful tassel keychains. Folks also got the chance to strike a pose in their awesome GIF photobooth. So fun!
The gals from Crafty Girl were there making personalized bookmarks. We loved the energy they brought to the show!
Guests got to get in on some more DIY action at the Epson station, as they made customized vintage postcards and other paper crafts.
We also had some rad tech projects going on. Thanks to TechShop Austin for their awesome DIY station. Attendees got to make fabric LED cuffs and assemble laser cut deer heads at their booth.
We were so happy to have ATX Hackerspace join us at Re:Make! They were CNC milling, 3D printing, and soldering up a storm. Oh, and did we mention they had a stop motion animation demo? #loveit
What else went down at Re:Make ATX? There were three(!) photo booths, complete with awesome props!
A giant cornhole game. Yep, THIS is how Brit + Co. does cornhole.
Thanks again to everyone who came out for our first Austin event! We can’t wait to see y’all next year! And if you’re on the West Coast, save the date for 9/12-9/13 for Re:Make SF!
