Rihanna is on top of the world right now. She nabbed Golden Globe and Oscar noms for her song "Lift Me Up" (from November's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), released a limited edition ice cream flavor, and she put on a killer halftime show at Super Bowl LVII this past Sunday. It was her first public performance since the 2018 Grammys, and we just knew it was going to be epic. Keep reading for everything you need to know about the performance (which has changed 39 times) — and check back here for more fun updates.
Watch Rihanna's Halftime Show Trailer
As a little girl makes her way down the street, nodding at friends and family, the trailer reminds us that Rihanna was once "a little island girl flying kites in the cemetery...but [she] had big dreams." It makes us a little emotional!
Everything We Know About The Rihanna Super Bowl Halftime Show
The Apple Music Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show trailer teases that it's been 2,190 days since Rihanna dropped her last album (2016's Anti). The much-anticipated trailer hints at the tricks Rih had up her sleeve for her big comeback.
Pre-performance, musical director Adam Blackstone says that he's excited for people to experience how epic and surprising the show will be. He says that he uses the story that the artist wants to tell as a stepping-off point, and it was important to Rihanna that this year's show is "a moment in time that people will never have seen or heard before."
Super Bowl Halftime Shows are crazy, thrilling, and eye-catching, and artists are always looking to try something new. Even though Rihanna clarified that the performance doesn't necessarily mean new music is coming, she told Entertainment Tonight that "nothing would have gotten [her] out of the house if it wasn't a challenge like that." We know from experience that challenges can become the best creative sparks!
While you debate whether she'll drop from the sky like Lady Gaga or ride a giant mechanical tiger like Katy Perry, there's still plenty of time to speculate on guest performers and whip up the best Super Bowl dips around.

Rihanna's Super Bowl Halftime Performance Recap
Rihanna opened up her show in true bad girl fashion, with "B---- Better Have My Money" and shortly after gave her belly a small rub. That's right – she gave us a whole surprise pregnancy announcement on live TV while standing on a suspended platform. Pretty iconic, if you ask us. The star was dripping in an all-red suit decorated with high-fashion names like Loewe, Maison Margiela's Salomon, and Alaïa, alongside a shiny handful of silver pins and jewelry. One of our top moments from the performance was her call out to her brand, Fenty Beauty, in a quick mid-performance touchup.
With that fierce look, she just knows she killed halftime.

The halftime show was about 13 minutes, which gave us tons of time to celebrate all of our favorite Rihanna songs.
In short, we can't wait to see what else Rihanna has in store.
