sarah pidgeon as clare in tiny beautiful things

After starring as Leah Rilke in The Wilds on Prime Video, Sarah Pidgeon is taking on a new role as Young Clare in Hulu’s limited series Tiny Beautiful Things. The series, based on the novel of the same name by Cheryl Strayed, follows Clare (played by Kathryn Hahn as an adult), who reluctantly becomes an advice columnist — even though her own life is falling apart.

Sarah Pidgeon On The Best Advice “Tiny Beautiful Things” Star Kathryn Hahn Gave Her

Throughout the series, Pidgeon balances grief, love, and maturity in a truly gentle yet striking way. We spoke to her about learning from Hahn on set, how the show has inspired her to recognize the "tiny beautiful things" in her own life, and (perhaps most importantly) playing with horses on set.

Jeremy Allen White is set to star in a developing Netflix limited series based on the André Aciman novel, Enigma Variations.

The title comes from the same author as Call Me by Your Name, which was adapted for film in 2017 and starred Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer with critical acclaim.

Enigma Variations, like Call Me by Your Name, explores romance and attraction through a queer lens, and White would depict a bisexual man if the project moves forward. We’ve never seen him in a queer role before, so this news is super exciting!

Scroll on for everything we know about Jeremy Allen White’s latest project, Enigma Variations.

According to "exclusive" sources that spoke to Variety, the limited series based on André Aciman’s Enigma Variations is currently in development at Netflix.

Jeremy Allen White will not only star in the series, but will also serve as an executive producer.

Amazon

Enigma Variations, the namesake novel, is described as “a passionate portrait of love's contradictory power, in five illuminating stories.”

The book follows Paul and charts his experiences with several “consuming and covetous” loves. The story ultimately highlights the “transient” nature of Paul’s relationship with love, romance, and attraction while revealing his path to self-discovery.

Author of Enigma Variations André Aciman will executive produce alongside White. Aciman was involved in the film adaptation of his other title, Call Me by Your Name, which received impressive critical acclaim and even won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay at the 90th Academy Awards.

FX

Per Variety, Enigma Variations is “currently in development” at Netflix, so it may be a while before we know the exact timeline for the series’ filming and release dates. Jeremy Allen White is the only actor attached to the project at the moment, but we can’t wait to see who else gets cast for the story.

When it comes to kickstarting your 2025 wardrobe – whether you're wanting to start from scratch or simply build upon what you’ve already got in your closet – soft tones are the way to go.

Toned-down versions of beloved colors like pink, yellow, and blue (“hello 2005 preteen bedroom,” stylist Emily Russell says) are going to be huge this year. And the best part is these trending colors aren't necessarily relegated to a certain type of garment.

From clothes to shoes and accessories like bags, these are the top trending wardrobe colors for 2025 to help guide your best get-ups!

Adidas

We spoke with stylist Emily Russell about her predictions for 2025 top trending wardrobe colors, and the answer was clear among her three faves: “soft and subtle hues are here!” Mocha brown, butter yellow, and baby blue are definitely going to hit it big in the fashion world.

When it comes to looking for fashion inspo to employ these colors in your wardrobe this year, Russell suggests two main sources: the runway, and the internet.

“It’s no secret the runways often set the stage for us all. That’s not to say influencers aren’t a great source,” she said. “I think these days influencers are true guides in helping us all realize that personal style is personal! Following them (in my opinion) is a fabulous way to see the runway decoded.”

The Top 5 Trending Wardrobe Colors For 2025

1. Mocha brown

Everlane

Everlane The Utility Straight-Leg Pant

Mocha brown (or Mocha Mousse, per Pantone’s declaration for Color of the Year) offers a cozy, calming, and comforting neutral color to wear in 2025.

Aritzia

Babaton The New Stedman Coat

It’s certainly lighter than 2024’s ever-trendy chocolate brown, but you can darken or lighten it up easily with other neutrals.

2. Butter yellow

Sam Edelman

Sam Edelman Michaela Mary Jane Flat

Butter yellow will continue to grow in popularity this year. You can shop it on everything from coats and cardigans to ballet flats and sneakers. I think it looks immaculate as a pop of color against a more monochrome ‘fit.

J.Crew

J.Crew Berkeley Bucket Bag

“While monochromatic looks are still being seen, a lot of designers are continuously color popping and statement-izing their bags, whether it be colored material or fun bag charms,” Russell told me. “ Anyone sticking with a more neutral bag is definitely adding their pop of color through bag charms or chains!”

3. Baby blue

Adidas

Adidas Handball Spezial Shoes

Baby blue is also on the rise for 2025. Where a richer royal blue might have been at the forefront of everyone’s outfits last year, this shade is taking a more subtle approach.

Quince

Quince 100% Organic Cotton Fisherman Boxy Cropped Cardigan

It’s super sweet and reminiscent of nurseries and children’s rooms, so it’ll undoubtedly leave a wholesome impression when you rock it in a fashionable get-up!

4. Baby pink

Staud

Staud Ollie Bag

Baby pink, ballet pink, or Glinda pink – no matter what you call it, this soft interaction of the color pink is another toned-down hue to keep close to your 2025 wardrobe. Think of it as the final piece in this year’s pastel-y primary palette!

Abercrombie & Fitch

The A&F Julia Slip Cowl Back-Bow Maxi Dress

Baby pink will also work wonderfully in conjunction with all of the top trending colors for 2025. I personally love the idea of pairing it with butter yellow for a spring ‘fit or adding pops of pink to a Mocha Mousse-forward outfit so it sort of resembles Neapolitan ice cream.

5. Animal print

Abercrombie & Fitch

Abercrombie & Fitch Mid Rise Barrel Jean

“Animal print 100% counts as a color and I am loving mixing bold prints with soft hues,” Russell said. “I think a bit of funk is important to keep normal life fun.”

Reformation

Reformation Dusk Knit Top

Animal prints like leopard print and zebra print are growing in popularity this year – wear ‘em as boldly (or not as boldly) as you’d like!

Who can forget days spent lounging on our grandparents' sofas while they watched one of their preferred 'old-school' TV shows? If they weren't tuned into The Price Is Right or Wheel of Fortune, they were probably watching I Love Lucy or Gilligan's Island. We may have complained at first...until we realized how kooky and fun these series were. Where else were we going to get slapstick comedy in black and white?

Since we hardly see rerun episodes of these timeless classics anymore, we're celebrating them by remembering why we loved them so much — and letting you know where you can stream them right now!

Here are all the old school TV shows we miss seeing on our screens!

Apple TV+

1. I Love Lucy

Stream: Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Paramount+
We thought we'd gladly be housewives if it meant we got to be gorgeous and witty like Lucy Ricardo (Lucille Ball). Together with her on-screen husband Ricky Ricardo (eventual off-screen ex-husband Desi Arnez), she showed that housewives could find things to do besides maintaining a home.
She and her neighbor/best friend Ethel Mertz would often find themselves in hilarious situations that were reprimanded by their Ricky as well as Ethel's husband, Fred Mertz (William Frawley). Remember the episode Lucy and Ethel tried working at a chocolate factory? We vowed never to think we had what it takes to be on anyone's assembly line after watching it.

Amazon Prime Video

2. The Brady Bunch

Stream: Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+

The Brady Bunch took having a stepfamily and turned it on its head with the blended Brady family. Because of their love for each other, Mike and Carol happily took on each other's children as their own: Greg, Marcia, Jan, Peter, Bobby, and Cindy. There was also the housekeeper Alice and the the lovable dog, Tiger!

Each episode seemed to revolve around getting used to living together, sibling rivalry, and more adventures that often ended in valuable lessons. Despite their differences, the Bradys showed that families don't have to be perfect to have a lot of love.

Amazon Prime Video

3. The Andy Griffith Show

Stream: Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, Paramount+
Andy Griffith was America's favorite sheriff and father because he seemed to know just what to say or do in different situations. Goofily assisted by deputy Barney Fife, he worked to balance solving petty crimes with raising his young son, Opie. Also, we can't forget the warmth and wit Aunt Bee brought to the show!

Apple TV+

4. Gilligan's Island

Stream: Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video
Before Lost, many of us remember watching Gilligan's Island with our grandparents. Our favorite part of theme song is, "The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle with Gilligan, the Skipper too, the millionaire and his wife, the movie star, the professor and Mary Ann. Here on Gilligan's Isle!"
There were so many different personalities that we could always count on something silly to happen.

Roku

5. I Dream of Jeannie

Stream: Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video
This is a hot take, but I Dream of Jeannie was a little cringe even back then. But, we still loved watching Jeannie make an incredible mark in Captain Tony Nelson's life. We're not saying we agreed with her sneaking into his bag or breaking off his initial engagement, but she sure knew how to cause a scene.
Maybe this is why we love watching reality TV drama 👀.

Amazon Prime Video

6. Leave It to Beaver

Stream: Amazon Prime Video
Leave It to Beaver felt appropriate for us to watch because it was all about young Theodore "Beaver" Cleaver's mischievous adventurous with his friends and the silly sibling rivalry that took place with his older brother Wallace aka Wally. It spoke to the accuracy of growing up as a kid who has an active imagination and too much time on their hands, no different than when some of us were kids.

Peacock

7. The Dick Van Dyke Show

Stream: Peacock, Amazon Prime Video
The Dick Van Dyke Show gave us an imagined look at the production of a TV show where Rob Petrie was the star. Somehow he'd try to split time between his career and personal life, often with funny results. Set in New York, it gave us a taste of having a budding creative career and family, not unlike what some of us having today.

Amazon Prime Video

8. Bewitched

Stream: Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video
Aside from Lucy and Ricky, our favorite TV couple used to be Samantha and Darrin from Bewitched. Despite their love for each other, it's obvious they have hiccups to navigate in their marriage. Darrin wants Samantha fit into suburbia while her family could care less about her changing who she is. With a twitch of her nose, Samantha could deploy a spell in no time...even if Darrin didn't always approve.

Peacock

9. The Munsters

Stream: Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock
The Munsters is another classic TV show that seemed to poke fun at living life in the suburbs. Unlike The Addams Family, the Munsters did their best to assimilate into their neighborhood as much as possible. Despite the glaring fact their family's comprised of vampires, Frankenstein, and an unseen pet, it was a touching show that placed a huge value on a family's love for each other.

Apple TV+

9. The A-Team

Stream: Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video
Did we really watch old school TV show reruns if they didn't include one episode of The A-Team? It's the prime reason we randomly say, "I pity the fool," in the voice of Mr. T. Aside from that, Faceman, Hannibal, and Murdock helped round out the team with their various expertise from being in the Special Forces. We saw them go on various 'missions' that usually involved fight scenes, explosives, and risky getaways.
It was a departure from some of the other shows we watched, but there was something exciting about seeing them find outlandish ways to escape narrow moments.

Hulu

11. M*A*S*H

Stream: Apple TV+, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu

Some of us have family members who served in the different branches of the military so watching M*A*S*H helped us make sense of some things that may have happened BTS. Specifically focusing on the 'hospital' portion of the war, M*A*S*H. Though there were some funny moments, but the show also did a great job of showing how scary the war could be.

It was expertly produced in our opinion and continues to be one of the shows we miss watching.

Peacock

12. The Beverly Hillbillies

Stream: Amazon Prime Video, Peacock
Last, but not least, The Beverly Hillbillies routinely takes up space in our brains. There was something funny yet endearing about seeing Jed, Elly May, Jethro, and Granny pack up their lives in the country to move to the glamorous California. The Clampetts may not have been posh like their neighbors, but they made sure there was never a dull moment when they were on TV.

I'd like to consider myself a romantic person in every aspect of life. I'm constantly coming up with stories, putting ribbons in my hair, and literally stopping to smell the roses (what can I say, when you see a flower in New York City, you might as well savor it). Needless to say, Valentine's Day (and Galentine's Day) is one of my favorite holidays. Aside from the fact that it provides a brief burst of color in the bleak midwinter, it is also a reminder that no matter how tough life gets, love is always worth celebrating. There's just one catch: I have been single my whole life, which makes the constant stream of date night ideas and partner gift inspo that flood the internet this time of year feel like they're a touch out of reach.

Valentine's Day can be less than thrilling if you feel like you don't have anyone to spend it with, but take it from me: there are more than enough ways to have a great time riding solo. If you've recently gone through a breakup or you're the only single friend left in your group, here's my best advice on tackling the upcoming love season if you're single on Valentine's Day (with a little help from Dr. Jenny Taitz, author of How To Be Single And Happy).

Here's how to fully embrace being in your single era on Valentine's Day

Chloe Williams/Brit + Co

Whether or not we admit it, there's definitely still a stigma around singleness. "Despite the fact that these days we may not need a partner to fulfill our hopes, being single remains so stigmatized, with shows depicting the need to compete to win love and headlines depicting women who are single as in an unfortunate situation," Dr. Taitz says. "It’s key to be mindful of these unhelpful messages to [keep them] from impacting how we view ourselves."

I've been on a few dates as an adult, but I often feel like I've missed out on a lot of the foundational experiences that come with being a young woman. Not to mention that it's easier than I'd like to admit to feel like there's something wrong with me if I'm the common thread through every dead-end romantic situation.

Even if comments from your friends like "They're just not good enough for you" or "You're so independent" have good intentions, not feeling desired is hard. Sometimes you just need to process those emotions in whatever way works best for your wellbeing because singleness is incredibly complex — one day I'm enjoying eating at a restaurant alone, the next a rom-com makes me cry — and as easy as it is to swing between the extremes of total happiness to bitterness, the reality is that I'm usually somewhere in between.

"Days like Valentine’s Day can be incredible opportunities to practice self-validation and self-compassion," Taitz says. "Being single on a day that can pull you to compare or feel less than is a good time to be especially kind to yourself [and act] in ways that remind you that you are enough and don’t need a plus one to feel whole."

Activities that engage your soul will help you feel good *and* romanticize self-care at the same time. I love creating a vision board in my bullet journal to see my dreams on paper, or reminding myself of where my true worth lies. If you're really struggling with feeling lonely, Taitz recommends listing out the areas of your life that matter to you, then writing down the value you want to add to each and mapping out how and why those values matter.

"There’s no way a relationship can be your full sense of worth — that’s not fair to you or the relationship and that’s not accurate in terms of what we know about happiness," she says. "Happiness hinges on being present and engaging in positive actions and having fulfilling relationships — and coupling isn’t the only source of connection (assuming it is almost like limiting your diet to strawberries — it’s not going to fill you and will deplete you)."

There is so much more to my worth than whether I have a romantic partner: I love movies and books, I love talking to my little sister on the phone, and I can spend hours happily in the kitchen listening to music and making a nourishing dinner. There's much more to your worth, too.

My mother constantly reminds me to wait for the Right person, not the Right Now person. There are pros and cons to every phase of life, and I'm very content with the pros right now. Eventually, however, I'm hoping my Valentine's Day charcuterie board for one will become a board for two.
