20 Foods for a Seattle vs New England Super Bowl Throwdown

We’re less than a week away from having another East Coast-West Coast rivalry go down. But this time around, it’s not all about hip-hop (how ’90s). Instead, it’s centered on something a little more sporty: the New England Patriots versus the Seattle Seahawks. With their abundance of artisanal cheese, apples and seafood fests, these two competitors may be more linked than we think (even though they probably won’t admit it). Explore the food cultures of the two teams’ home turf with these 20 treasured, well-known foods. Then you can be the judge of who has the #winning cuisine.

1. Seattle Asian Salmon Bowls: What do the Pike Place Market fish throwers and this gorgeous salmon bowl have in common? Each makes seafood exciting, in their own special way. (via Skinny Taste)

2. Coffee Ice Cream Cupcakes: Take your pick of these crave-worthy cupcakes or four other buzzworthy coffee-enhanced desserts. Any of them will surely put you into #BeastMode. (via Brit + Co)

3. Beecher’s “World’s Best” Mac and Cheese ($35): You don’t need to travel to Seattle to get a taste of the “World’s Best” mac and cheese. Now you can have it delivered to your doorstep, or even try your hand at stirring up a batch from scratch.

4. Renee Erickson’s Manila Clams: Erickson’s restaurant, The Walrus and the Carpenter, might be known for its oysters, but she works wonders with other shellfish as well. Serve these herbed, steamed clams with tons of crusty bread for dipping. (via Condé Nast Traveller)

5. Classic Cherry Daiquiri: You’ll find no shortage of craft foods in the Emerald City, and soda is no exception. Mix up this rockin’ rum daiquiri with sweet, red and yellow Rainer cherries for an even more on-point sip. Either way, your #12thman (or woman) will definitely approve. (via The Glitter Guide)

6. Top Pot Triple Coconut Donuts: We’re pretty sure you can’t go wrong with any of Top Pot’s “hand-forged” options. These old-fashioned toasted coconut donuts are cakey, moist and crunchy all at once. P.S. They also make a mean apple fritter. (via Saveur)

7. Serious Biscuits: These Southern-style biscuits are the perfect canvas for preserves (huckleberry would be so very Pacific Northwest-appropriate) or your next breakfast sandwich. (via Splendid Table)

8. Dick’s Hamburgers French Fries: Dick’s Drive-In knows their way around a potato. Unlike our beloved In-N-Out, they take the time to blanch their freshly cut French fries, so each one is perfectly fluffy in the middle and crisp on the outside. (via Washington Grown)

9. Slow Cooked Pork Taquitos With Chocolate Mole: We’re all about the theobromine, and Theo Chocolate’s can certainly satisfy our cravings. These taquitos topped with a chili-laced-chocolate mole would make for one awesome Super Bowl appetizer. (via Hip Foodie Mom)

10. Almond Morning Rolls: If you enjoy nibbling on a croissant with your morning cup of joe, you’ll love these bakery-worthy morning buns just as much. (via Sifter in the City)

11. Apple Dutch Baby Ice Cream With Caramel Sauce: Dutch babies are the perfect solution for when you feel like pancakes, but don’t want to spend tons of time flipping one flapjack after another. (via Seasons and Suppers)

New England

12. Easy Classic Lobster Rolls: For the most authentic results, stuff the classic lobster roll filling inside New England hot dog buns. The buns’ flat sides mean they toast up unbelievably well. (via The Suburban Soapbox)

13. Slow Cooker Boston Baked Beans (Vegetarian): Smoked paprika adds a nice layer of bacon-esque flavor to this pot of (almost) authentic slow cooker baked beans. We’re pretty sure Pat the Patriot would be beggin’ for bowlful of the stuff after just one whiff. (via Kitchen Treaty)

14. Best Boston Cream Pie: Now this is one “pie” that those who prefer cake over crust can definitely get behind. (via Food52)

15. Best Ever Clam Chowder: All of New England — well, except for Rhode Island — enjoys their clam chowder creamy. You’ll enjoy spooning up this classic version chock-full of clams, potatoes, bacon and veggies even if you’re far from the shore. (via Pineapple + Coconut)

16. Sweet Autumn Cornbread + Vermont Cheddar Casserole: Corn has played a pretty significant role in the New England food culture ever since the first Thanksgiving. But you don’t have to wait ’til the holidays roll around to enjoy this cheesy cornbread casserole. (via The Cozy Apron)

17. Peppermint Schnapps Whoopie Pies: First there was #DeflateGate, now #WhoopiePieGate is in the works — both New England and Pennsylvania lay claim to these heavenly handheld cakes. (via The Wall Street Journal)

18. Maple Milkshake: You don’t need to be from Vermont to enjoy this delicious, four-ingredient maple milkshake. (via Butternut Mountain Farm)

19. Lobster Pot Pie: Class up your next pot pie by making lobster the star instead of plain ol’ chicken. (via Baked by Joanna)

20. New England Apple Cider Donuts: Bring a taste of the apple orchard home with these delectable cider donuts. (via Becca Bakes)

You've seen Adam Brody in The O.C. You've seen Adam Brody in Nobody Wants This. But you've never seen him like this. In his new Super Bowl commercial with Pringles, the actor and all-around heartthrob recruits the most unlikely of suspects to help replenish his Big Game snacks: mustaches. Yep, you read that right so I'll let it hang in the air for a moment longer. We talked to the actor about his favorite Super Bowl snacks and the one thing he's excited for in Nobody Wants This season 2.

Here's what Adam Brody had to say about Pringles and Nobody Wants This (two of the most important things in my life, TBH).

Of course, the most pressing question I have after watching this ad is whether we'll see Adam grow a mustache? "Yes," he tells Brit + Co over email. "When time permits, a mustache will be grown." Victory!

Now while the Pringles logo is incredibly recognizable, nothing's as tasty as their variety of flavors (while I'm a sour cream and onion gal, Adam prefers the original flavor), nor as fun as putting two chips in your mouth to make a duck beak. And considering Adam also adds his favorite Super Bowl snack is "fistfuls of guacamole," now I'm also craving a Pringles and guac combo. What can I say? I'm feeling adventurous.

Pringles

While Adam Brody's Pringles ad has instantly become an iconic Super Bowl commercial, fans everywhere are excited to see him onscreen again as Noah in Nobody Wants This season 2. And even though he "can’t say" what he's excited about in the upcoming episodes "because I literally don’t know," the actor does admit he's most excited for "the high jinks that I am sure will ensue."

Until then, I'll just be rewatching season 1 and continuing my first-watch of The O.C. — and maybe just maybe daydreaming about what Noah and Seth Cohen might do if they ever met? Unfortunately, this is a reunion Adam's not too sure about: "That’s too much Adam Brody for my taste."

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) have always been a dramatic duo, but they're taking the drama to new heights right now: they're breaking up, according to TMZ. The Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker BFFs announced they were expecting their first child together, making this all way more complicated than a simple split. And Megan Fox just gave birth to their sweet new baby.

Here's everything to know about Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox's baby— & their breakup.

Did Megan Fox have her baby?

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly may not be together, but they have a lot to celebrate now that their daughter made her grand debut! Machine Gun Kelly eagerly announced her arrival on Instagramby sharing a small black and white video of him holding her toes.

No matter where he and Megan stand, the rapper made it clear he's excited their daughter was born safe and sound. The sweetest part of his caption is him calling the newborn a "little celestial seed."

He also explained that Travis Barker helped welcome their daughter through music, adding, "We composed the score of the birth. What an epic journey. Praise God."

We also love positive the comments on the announcement post are! Even MTV couldn't resist commenting by writing, "congratulations ♥️."

And get this, Megan's birth was aided by music. "We composed the score of the birth. What an epic journey. Praise God," Kelly told E! News. If you're wondering whose music they were listening to, it's none other than Travis Barker!

Did Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox break up?

www.instagram.com

TMZ reported Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly broke up on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. The pair allegedly split on Thanksgiving weekend in Vail, Colorado given "upsetting material" Megan found on MGK's phone. Apparently they haven't been together since the breakup, with MGK going as far as to leave their trip early.

Megan announced she was pregnant on Instagram a month before they allegedly broke up, on November 11, 2024. According to PEOPLE, MGK was "basically telling everyone he knows" about the baby, and that the pair is "doing well" in general. Now, it seems like the tables have really turned in the latter regard.

However, an exclusive source told PEOPLE, "Their relationship has always been bumpy. They love each other but don't have compatible personalities." The source explained that Megan and MGK are "both hot-heads, dramatic and stubborn," noting that they've "worked things out" when they broke up in the past. "When they're good together, they're great," they said. "They will very likely get back together."

PEOPLE reported that Megan and MGK announced their engagement on Instagram on January 12, 2022. However, the Jennifer's Body star only features her pregnancy announcement on Instagram now — and while MGK doesn't have a post on his grid either, you can still see his video of her engagement ring here!

Let’s be honest, one of the best parts of the Super Bowl is the commercials, and whether you’re rooting for the Chiefs or Eagles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy while watching. Every year, there are ones that stand out because of how hilarious, absolutely ridiculous, or celebrity-filled they are. Super Bowl commercials are also the perfect time for co-star reunions, random collaborations no one saw coming, and interesting twists on a beloved concept. Long after the big game is over, these ads will continue to be talked about, for both good or bad reasons.

Here are our picks for the 10 best new Super Bowl commercials for 2025!

10. Knock, Knock

Who’s there? Well, who wouldn’t answer the door for Post Malone and Shane Gillis, especially when they come bearing Bud Light.

9. Who Let the Dogs Out?

Spruce is unleashing all the dogs to promote their new pet-safe weed killer. Baha Men even re-recorded their hit “Who Let the Dogs Out” for the party!

8. Your Attention Please

Hailee Steinfeld is demanding that we “give breasts the attention they deserve” in this team up with Wanda Sykes for Novartis and breast cancer awareness. It’s time for women to put our health front and center.

7. We’re Here

Instacart has a super fun spot for their Super Bowl debut, which includes iconic brand mascots such as Chester Cheetah, the Kool-Aid Man, the Energizer Bunny, Mr. Clean, Pillsbury Doughboy, the Green Giant, and many more. Just don’t forget to order the milk!

6. Photobomb feat. Doja Cat

Taco Bell is ready to give fans the spotlight in their ad this year, but Doja Cat has other plans. She’s determined to break the no-celebrity rule at all costs.

5. True to Texas

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson want to change the tune and bring film and television productions back home to Texas. As if this True Detective reunion wasn’t enough, the commercial also includes Dennis Quaid, Woody Harrelson, Billy Bob Thornton, and Renée Zellweger.

4. First Delivery

So a horse walks into a bar to prove you’re never too little to save the day. While Budweiser might lean more into emotion rather than humor with this ad, it’s just as effective thanks to the Clydesdales.

3. We Listen & We Don’t Judge with Charli XCX & Martha Stewart

Uber Eats is bringing Charli XCX and Martha Stewart together to try the “We Listen and Don't Judge Challenge” TikTok trend. However, something tells us that there will be plenty of judging by the audience and each other with these confessions.

2. When Sally Met Hellmann’s

It’s time for a When Harry Met Sally reunion with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, courtesy of Hellmann’s. The two are seated at NYC's Katz's Deli and give those eating around them, including Sydney Sweeney, “lunch and a show.” Sign us up!

1. The ULTRA Hustle

Michelob ULTRA is giving us the duo we never knew we needed with Willem Dafoe and Catherine O'Hara as pickleball hustlers taking on professional athletes. Do we need to say more?

True crime fans have been all over Ryan Murphy and FX's American Crime Story, an anthology series chronicling everything from O.J. Simpson's trial to the Monica Lewinsky & Bill Clinton sex scandal. And it won't be long before we're able to tune into American Love Story, an anthology series that follows different public romances that gripped the world. Up first: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. And we just got our first casting announcement. Sarah Pidgeon will play Carolyn!

Here's everything we know about Ryan Murphy's American Love Story, starring Sarah Pidgeon and coming to FX soon.

What is American Love Story?

American Love Story is FX's next anthology series based on true love stories the world can't get enough of (hopefully we'll see a Princess Diana season soon!). The first season will follow John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, who worked as Calvin Klein's director of publicity and began dating JFK Jr. in 1994. They got married on September 21, 1996.

After some super intense and extensive media & paparazzi attention, their relationship began to feel some tension that ultimately ended in tragedy when John's private plane crashed into the ocean off Martha's Vineyard in 1999. Both John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette died in the crash, along with Carolyn's sister Lauren.

Who's in the American Love Story cast?

Sarah Pidgeon just joined the American Love Story cast as Carolyn Bessette. And this is literally the perfect casting — I know Sarah has the acting chops to pull off the role, but she also looks just like Carolyn!

Stay tuned for the full cast list, including who will play John F. Kennedy Jr.

American Love Story is coming to FX soon. Check back here for the official release date!

Is Carolyn Bessette Kennedy alive?

No, sadly Carolyn Bessette Kennedy passed away in a plane crash on July 16, 1999 off the coast of Massachusetts. At John F. Kennedy Jr.'s memorial his uncle Ted Kennedy said, "We dared to think, in that other Irish phrase, that this John Kennedy would live to comb gray hair, with his beloved Carolyn by his side. But like his father, he had every gift but length of years."

"For a thousand days, he was a husband who adored the wife who became his perfect soul mate," Ted continued. "John's father taught us all to reach for the moon and the stars. John did that in all he did -- and he found his shining star when he married Carolyn Bessette."

We'll also be able to see Sarah Pidgeon in the I Know What You Did Last Summer reboot, coming this summer.

Every movie and TV lover needs to tune into Apple TV's The Studio STAT. The show premiered on March 26, so you have plenty of time to catch up on the first two episodes — and see all the insane cameos, because this cast list is actually insane.

Seth Rogen's back with his impeccable comedic timing, as well as a bunch of really famous (and super fun) co-stars. From Catherine O'Hara to Zoë Kravitz, this is sure to be one of the most-anticipated shows to watch this spring! I think this will definitely hold us over while we wait for Platonic season 2.

The series stars Seth as Continental Studios' new leader, and finds himself at odds with executives, creators, and even himself as he just tries to make good movies. That sounds pretty timely if you ask me.

Here's everything you need to know about Seth Rogen's The Studio, streaming on Apple TV.

What's The Studio about?

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images

The Studio follows Matt Remick (Seth Rogen), the head of Continental Studios. The company is desperate to stay relevant while the movie industry is in turmoil, and Matt works with his team to make that happen. But it's Hollywood, so there's clearly no shortage of interesting characters for Matt to juggle, from directors to actors to everyone in between. Can this ultimate movie-lover, Matt, make magic happen for the studio? Or will all the chaos he encounters wind up being the end of his career?

Whatever the answer is, we CAN'T wait to finish this show. Check out The Studio trailer here.
