Is This the Most WTF Selfie Accessory Yet?

Fashion and tech collabs are nothing out of the norm by now. We’ve seen Chanel headphones courtesy of Monster, a FitBit worthy of Tory Burch prepsters and WiFi connected jewelry from Rebecca Minkoff. But this collaboration between Taiwan-based electronic company Acer and British designer Christian Cowan-Sanluis is one piece of wearable tech that has us doing a double take.

This new creation is called the Selfie Hat, and it looks like your average, oversized, glittery, hot-pink hat at first glance, but then you quickly notice a little something dangling from the brim. That little something would be a tablet. Yes, a freaking iPad-sized device is hanging off your hot pink glittery hat — nothing to see here, folks.

Acer jumped right into the soon-to-be super competitive wearable tech market by partnering with Cowan-Sanluis to create the most extravagant headgear we’ve ever seen. When the tech-sessory debuted at London Fashion Week, the crowds went wild.

The hat spins 360 degrees and has an integrated Acer tablet so that struggling selfie-takers can succeed in a flattering snap thanks to the hat’s strategic picture-taking angle. The hat also comes with a matching, non-wearable tablet case as a bonus. It should mention if you put your device in this case, your tablet will also be wearing a glittery pink hat. (Twinsies!) Although, we can’t think of one reason why you would ever want to take this thing off — no matter if you’re hitting the slopes, swimming laps at the gym or at that farm-to-table dinner on a goat ranch. Wearing this hat is like having your own personal social media paparazzi.

Not surprisingly, someone has already worn it before the rest of us could even Tweet about it. That someone was none other than Lady Gaga. Back in March, she was spotted wearing Cowan-Sanluis’s fall tuxedo with the selfie hat, which didn’t carry the selfie features at that time. But hey, it’s closer than most of us will ever come to donning it. And if anyone can pull off a hot pink glittery suit with matching hat, it’s gotta be Gaga.

The selfie hat is by far the most outrageous fashion/tech collab we’ve seen so far, and we do mean that in the best way possibly. But better hold unto your hats a little while longer, folks, because there is no official price or release date set yet. We’ll be patiently wearing our Pharrell topper until further notice.

In what world would you wear the selfie hat? Tell us in the comments below.

In the game of tech, Microsoft is always a name on the tip of the tongue, and the company has certainly been busy lately. Windows 10 has expanded into a large ecosystem which gives its users the ability to integrate their numerous devices for a more fluid experience. Now it sounds like they’re turning their attention to smartphones again.

Microsoft quietly filed a patent for a phone that folds out into a tablet back in October 2014, and now rumors are circulating the internet that after the popularity of the Surface Book, Microsoft might be working from a new patent to create a Surface Phone.

The original patent discovered by MSPowerUser showed a device with two or three screens that unfolded into either the standard tablet layout we’re used to or a tent-like display — similar to the way the Surface stands, but with an additional screen or two.

We aren’t exactly sure if Microsoft plans to make this phone a reality or not, but before the highly anticipated Surface Studio ($3000), a gorgeous desktop computer that can change positions to suit your needs, was announced, patent leaks gave away their plans. It’s possible the Microsoft Surface Phablet (that’s what we’re calling it) is in the works.

In the meantime, we’ll be waiting.

Tomorrow marks Apple’s latest “Special Event” where months of speculation and rumors will finally culminate in the iPhone 6S reveal — pink or no pink? How will Force Touch change the way we use our phones? So many questions! We’re expecting to receive some answers on September 9, but it looks like iPhone answers won’t be all that we’re getting.

First of all, this will be Apple’s biggest iPad yet. The last couple of years have seen Apple trying to go smaller and lighter with the iPad Air and iPad Minis. This year, however, in an attempt to court enterprise notebook computer users, they plan on going big. According to 9to5Mac, this behemoth of a smart tablet is going to feature a display measuring 12.9-inches and start at 64G storage capacities — a huge jump for previous iPads’ 16GB base models.

The iPad Pro will come equipped with LTE capabilities, which will liberate users from being bound to Wi-Fi. The tablet with feature the iOS 9.1 from the get-go and a stylus accessory. Additionally, rumors say that the iPad Pro will be coming with a USB 3.0 port, which allows you to transfer data at never-before-seen speeds for the technology. Also, for you sound buffs, the iPad Pro will have not one, not two, not even three — but four speakers.

Essentially, the tablet is such a multi.-functioning device that bridges the gap between computers and tablets, we *might* soon be bidding adieu to laptops as we know it.

Will you be getting the iPad Pro? Tell us in the comments below!

We're in serious pursuit of something to fill the Yellowstone-sized hole in our hearts (aside from 1923 season 2, of course). And thankfully, Netflix's new showRansom Canyon is shaping up to be the perfect addition to our watchlist. Consider it My Life With The Walter Boys with a little more edge and less "I'm stuck in a love triangle with two brothers."

Here's everything you need to know about Ransom Canyon, coming to Netflix this April.

'Ransom Canyon' promises "it's not too late."

Netflix

Based on Jodi Thomas' book of the same name, Ransom Canyon is about to be your new romance obsession. The 10-episode drama examines three ranching families in Texas, and how their lives intersect.

We have Staten, a rancher dealing with secrets and trouble — just like the beautiful Quinn, who's harboring secrets of her own. Lucas wants a different life than that of a rancher, until a single decision changes everything. And Yancy just wants to use everyone in Ransom Canyon for his own gain. But even this criminal isn't ready for what's coming.

It's giving Yellowstone obviously, but it's also totally reminding me of Friday Night Lights thanks to the football and all the juicy drama. According to the trailer, the canyon "gives us all something to be happy about," and the show will tackle legacy, land, and love. Yeah...I'm tuning in and you can too when the episodes premiere April 17, 2025 on Netflix.

The 'Ransom Canyon' cast also includes some fan favorite actors.

Anna Kooris/Netflix

Yeah, the Ransom Canyon cast is absolutely stacked. We'll see Josh Duhamel as Staten, Minka Kelly as Quinn, James Brolin as Cap, Eoin Macken as Davis, Lizzy Greene as Lauren, Marianly Tejada as Ellie, Jack Schumacher as Yancy, Garrett Wareing as Lucas, and Andrew Liner as Reid. Jennifer Ens, Niko Guardado, Casey W. Johnson, Philip Winchester, Kate Burton, Brett Cullen, Tatanka Means, Jaren Robledo, Justin Johnson Cortez, and Kenneth Miller also star.

Here's when you can watch Ransom Canyon.

Netflix

Ransom Canyon premieres on Netflix April 17, and will have 10 episodes total. I can't wait to tune in! For now, watch the trailer here!

Blake Lively just revealed she's been getting "violent" messages amid her ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. (Although with the Snow White & Rachel Zegler backlash, she's not the only one. The internet has a lot to say these days). The Another Simple Favor actress has requested "additional protections" from the judge presiding over her trial, which really shows you how insane this whole It Ends With Us drama has gotten.

Here's what Blake Lively — and Justin Baldoni — had to say about the backlash to the It Ends With Us feud.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni agree the 'It Ends With Us' backlash has gone too far.

Sony Pictures Releasing

Both Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's legal teams agreed to a protective order (also known as a PO), and on February 20, Blake's lawyers requested stronger protections than the "model" they'd received from the court (via People).

And considering Blake Lively, "her family, other members of the cast, various fact witnesses, and individuals that have spoken out publicly in support of Ms. Lively have received violent, profane, sexist, and threatening communications" (as the letter states), "good cause exists for the Court to adopt the Proposed PO."

Her lawyer's letter also requested "an Attorney’s Eyes Only ('AEO') category, which applies to 'Confidential Discovery Material of such a highly confidential and personal, sensitive, or proprietary nature that the revelation of such is likely to cause a competitive, business, commercial, financial, personal or privacy injury.'"

And Justin Baldoni's team actually weighed in on the conversation. “We do not condone dangerous rhetoric targeted toward anyone no matter the situation,” they said in a statement. "“Anyone receiving violent messages by anonymous parties is abhorrent. When private parties were wrongfully accused by Lively and her paid team of wrongdoing, they received continuous death threats and visits to private homes where young children reside after their addresses were leaked on her initial complaints. No one should have to face that, especially private parties who do not have means for security detail. We do not condone dangerous rhetoric targeted toward anyone no matter the situation.”

Here's what What Blake Lively Had To Say About "Emotional" Toll Of Justin Baldoni Drama On Her Kids: "Traumatized".
